While the Autistic Video Game Lad, the Nostalgia Critic and Ash Williams were dealing with the kidnapping of the Angry Video Game Nerd and the Modern Critic back in Fucksville, USA, in another realm, known as Fighter's Haven, the crowd was cheering loudly as a friendly brawl between Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog was about to take place. As Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom and Princess Sally Acorn of the Kingdom of Acorn were overseeing the friendly brawl, the brawlers, Mario and Sonic themselves made their entrance onto the battlefield.
"I hope you're ready for a friendly ass kicking, Sonic, 'cause I won't be going easy on you." Mario told Sonic with a playful smirk.
"I wouldn't want it any other way, Red Man." Sonic replied with a cocky grin. The bell rang, and the brawl began. Mario ran up to Sonic to try and punch him in the face, but the cobalt blue hedgehog dodged out of the way, leapt over the red clad plumber and counterattacked him by kicking him in the back.
"Still as quick as ever, I see." Mario jokingly remarked before getting back up and doing a spinning kick towards Sonic, which hit the cobalt blue hedgehog in the face and caused him to fall flat onto his butt.
"I could say the same about you, but then I'd be lying." Sonic laughed as he shot towards Mario and hit him in the head with a Homing Attack, which caused the red clad plumber to fall onto his back as well.
Mario then got back up and threw a left hook at Sonic, which the cobalt blue hedgehog dodged. Mario then threw a jab at Sonic, which Sonic also dodged. Mario then proceeded to fake out the cobalt blue hedgehog with a fake right hook, which caught him off guard and allowed Mario to hit Sonic with a left uppercut, causing Sonic to exclaim as he was knocked backwards. Mario then continued to hit Sonic with multiple punches and kicks before Sonic was eventually knocked flat onto his butt for the final time as Mario had won the match.
The crowd cheered for Mario's victory as Peach and Sally clapped as well. Sonic quickly got up, and he gave Mario a sportsmanlike handshake. "It amazes me that no matter how many times the boys hold these friendly brawls, the victor always differs." Peach said to Sally with a smile.
Sally lightly smiled and nodded in agreement. "It's just like a battle between a jaguar and a mountain lion; It's often the jaguar that wins, but sometimes, the mountain lion wins instead." The brown chipmunk pointed out.
"That's one way of looking at it, I suppose." Peach nodded back at Sally. Suddenly, the place began rumbling, and everyone looked up as a Merryweather Attack Helicopter from Grand Theft Auto V came crashing through a large window in the building.
"Attention, people of Fighters' Haven! We are under the orders of arresting the fighters and their plus-ones, so put your hands in the air and no one will get hurt!" The helicopter pilot spoke over his microphone.
Mario, Sonic, Peach and Sally scowled as they saw this. "Never!" The four of them shouted in unison.
"Very well, we'll have to do this the hard way then!" The helicopter pilot declared as he began hovering over the battlefield, and ropes dropped down from the helicopter as Merryweather soldiers began coming out of the helicopter.
"Looks like we'll have to beat these fuckers if we wanna have a chance of survival." Mario told Sonic.
"Apparently so." Sonic nodded as Peach and Sally came running onto the battlefield as well.
"We'll help you boys with fending off these attackers." Peach told Mario and Sonic.
"Yeah, we'll show these people that crime doesn't pay." Sally chimed in.
"Thanks, girls. We appreciate it." Mario smiled and nodded.
Sonic smiled and gave a thumbs up in agreement. "We sure do. Now let's kick these guys' asses!" The cobalt blue hedgehog declared as the four of them began fighting off the Merryweather soldiers as they kept coming down from the helicopter. How did so many soldiers fit into one small helicopter?
Eventually though, the helicopter ran out of soldiers, and the helicopter pilot took notice of this. "Mercy! They beat them all up! That's no good..." The helicopter pilot spoke before he proceeded to contact his superiors. "This is Merryweather Delta Unit. The targets have taken out all our men except for me. Requesting reinforcements." The helicopter pilot spoke.
"Roger that, deploying the special weapon Mr. Percival received the other day." The pilot's superior replied before the message proceeded to end. The ground began rumbling once more as Mario, Sonic, Peach and Sally took notice of this.
"Whoa! What's happening?!" Mario wondered out loud.
"I don't know, but I'll bet my shoes we ain't gonna like it!" Sonic added. Suddenly, Groudon from Pokémon Ruby proceeded to burst through another window in the stadium and it quickly snatched Peach and Sally off the ground before roaring.
"Peach, no!" Mario exclaimed in dismay.
"Sally, no!" Sonic exclaimed in dismay as well. Mario then proceeded to run up to Groudon to try and get it to let go of Peach and Sally, but Groudon proceeded to blast Mario out of the Fighter's Haven stadium using its Hammer Arm move.
"Mario, no!" Sonic exclaimed in dismay again before scowling as he turned to Groudon. "You'll pay for that, you big rotten beast!" The cobalt blue hedgehog declared as he began fighting Groudon. Groudon put up quite a fight, but after taking enough hits from Sonic's attacks, Groudon eventually let out an agonized roar before dropping to the ground and disappearing in a puff of smoke, dropping Peach and Sally in the process.
Sonic quickly caught Sally in his arms, after which Sally proceeded to sigh in relief. "Oh, thank goodness you managed to free Peach and myself from that big beast, Sonic." Sally told Sonic with a relieved smile.
Sonic chuckled. "Don't mention it, Sal. That's what we're lovers for." He told Sally with a grin. He and Sally were so distracted, however, that they failed to notice that the helicopter pilot from before had captured Peach, tied her up and put her into his helicopter.
"Sonic, Sally, help!" Peach shouted, which quickly got the Mobian couple's attention.
"Oh no, Peach!" Sally exclaimed in shock.
"Don't worry, Peach! We'll have you free in a jiffy!" Sonic declared as he put Sally down before leaping up to attack the helicopter, but the pilot fired a missile at Sonic, which forced him to back down.
"You won't be saving that princess anytime soon! You might have won this round, but we'll be back for you two very soon!" The helicopter pilot told Sonic and Sally as he quickly retreated with Peach on board of his helicopter.
"Drat! We lost Mario and Peach!" Sonic said with a frustrated scowl.
"We can't stay here getting frustrated over this loss, Sonic. We must make our way out of here and start planning a way to find Mario and rescue Peach from her captors." Sally suggested to Sonic.
Sonic nodded in agreement. "You're right, Sal. Let's get outta here." He replied to the brown chipmunk as he picked her up into his arms once more and boosted out of the Fighter's Haven stadium, setting out to find Mario and rescue Peach.
