Chapter Nine - Revelation's In War Part Two
Location Dark Territory:
Drones, Krabs, Tarantulas backed up by an army of goblins and mages apparently. Odd called out as he and William continued attacking the horde now bearing down on them and their new allies.
He could've easily just brainwashed the locals so why didn't he? Yumi asked her pink armored friend who was standing next to knight commander Fanatio all of whom were only occasionally firing attacks off at their foes but stopped to resume brief conversation;
"This XANA you speak of probably didn't have to if he was persuasive enough that lot fighting with him was disenchanted with the peace star king Kirito forged; all they want is to undo all the progress that has been made." Fanatio said two the two females standing next to her
"Hey ladies if you don't mind less talk more help." William chimed in as he and odd continued to rain destruction down on their enemies who were still inching closer to the hill they were standing atop. Sure he was all for doing what needs to be done but he and his friends aren't as young as they used to be and unlike in the old days these STL's were really taking a beating on their physical endurance.
"It sounds like this star king you mentioned is quite the powerhouse so why isn't he helping you miss... I'm sorry what's your name again?" Aelieta asked she didn't mean to be rude she was just trying to get a clear understanding of what was going on.
"My name is Fanatio synthesis One I'm the commander of the integrity pilots formerly Integrity Knight's of the Axiom Church of Centoria. My comrades here as she pointed to her Knight's who were still launching volley after volley of attacks off down below;
"Sir Renly..." Ladies Ronye Tiese and Eydis
"Also to answer your question Star King Kirito stayed behind to look after lady Alice who fell Ill when we arrived. Fanatio added...
"Well someone may want to go get him because we're in real danger of being overrun." Odd who was listening in spoke up.
"Odds right; Yumi you go get him!" Aelieta ordered; "huh why me? Yumi asked confused...
"Because right now we're fighting at a distance and your skills are more suited to close quarters combat." Aelieta reasoned...
"Yeah okay but I don't even know what those two look like much less know how I explain this mess to them?" Yumi shot back to which Fanatio gave a solution.
Knight Tiese...
"Yes my lady" the red headed knight responded. "Fall back and escort miss Yumi to the Citadel get Kirito and Alice back here at once...
"But lady Fanatio lady Alice..." Tiese tried to start however Fanatio was quick to fire back; "I don't care how sick she is I fought Vecta's army while I was eight months pregnant she can get out here and fight...you get them back here now no excuses that's an order!" Fanatio demanded causing everyone to stop what they were doing briefly as Aelieta and Yumi stood there mouths agape...
"Wow... That's... That's impressive..." William Ulrich and Odd chimed in.
"I like this lady..." Aelieta muttered to Yumi with a smirk on her face which Yumi returned.
"Very well commander let's go Lady Yumi. Tiese said to the black haired woman; "Lead the way and by the way don't be so formal just call me Yumi." The female responded to which the redhead nodded as she hailed one of the dragons supporting their mission to which the pair quickly mounted and took off full speed towards the citadel where Kirito and Alice were.
Meanwhile in the real world aboard the Ocean Turtle:
Three projects were going on simultaneously; In the control room Ryoken, Higa and, Jeremy were all typing away while Foust, Genome, Spectre and Baira were working away in the workshop just one deck below them.
"Alright the firewalls are all setup that should hold Kirito's group at bay long enough to not interfere with the plan." Ryoken announced. Rath being fearful of Kirito's friends interfering and ruining the plan went ahead with Ryoken's plan to setup a "decoy underworld using the seed and employing multiple "firewall" monsters to slow them down and keep them from hacking into underworld and ruining the prep-work already done it was a tall order especially considering their decoy underworld would have to fool Kirito and Asuna's AI daughter Yui; but luckily Ryoken had the idea to use monsters from the duel monster card game to save time.
"Alright we've got the Anti-XANA program recalibrated and ready to launch all we have to do is wait for Aelieta and the others to get to a system consel to launch it on their side; hopefully they contact us soon." Jeremy announced.
"That's two spokes of the plan ready how's it going down there Spectre?" Higa called down using the comm link after a few seconds Spectre responded back; "The package has been delivered we should have the device modified and the data capture device built in a few hours a day max." Revolvers right hand man proclaimed.
While Ryoken, Higa and, Jeremy worked on occupying Kirito's friends and stopping XANA the knights would focus there attention on taking on a weakened Lightning. The knights plan is to use a modified Electro-Magnetic Pulse bomb; provided albeit reluctantly by Major Rossum and the Americans to destroy lightnings remaining program data while at the same time using a data capture device to pull the stolen consciousness data from lightning before he's destroyed so that Asuna and Rinko would be saved. This device would be based on the AI weapon Bomans ability to pull consciousness data from lightning that was used during the first fight with the rouge Ignis.
"I can't believe I just handed over what just might be the most dangerous technological weapon of war over to cyber terrorists" Rossum shouted through his comm link to the control room aboard Ocean Turtle.
To this Ryoken smirked before responding to the American Officer; "Your government did say do whatever it takes to repair the relationship with Japan. Your weapon is a shortcut allowing us to save time as building a comparable device would take months and, besides keeping an ALICE the most sophisticated and powerful weapon if used for that purpose out of the hands of a genocidal AI bent on world domination; I think this is a small price to pay to save the world not to mention face."
Annoyed Rossum sighed in defeat as even he had to admit Ryoken had a point; "You're right; By the way status report, Kikouka and JSDF special forces are en-route to USMC Camp Pendleton to stage for the confrontation with lightning."
All according to plan; and rest assured with our modifications to your weapon we'll be able to contain the collateral damage to the airport randevu location; we'll have it there and ready ASAP." Ryoken assured the American commander before closing the comm link.
The trio in the control room then looked at each other and with brief smiles confident that right now they have the upper hand they then nod to one another and returned to punching in programs into and moderating the RATH mainframe as right now they were truly in a race against time...
