Act I A/N

Hey people! Welcome to the first proper Author's Notes.

Which probably told you this month's 1sth won't have a chapter.

Or any chapter for that matter.

There is a good reason for that. But first! Two things.

1º Thank you to everyone who reads this. I know I am a bit… heavy for most. I detail a lot of shit, I tend to ramble a bit and I suffer from purple prose like [censored because holy fuck I need to keep some readers] on a good day.

2º As I promised I'll address all reviews (Or say thanks if they were general comments \o3o/) from last this Act. Unsurprisingly, all of them come from AO3. I also have a lot less problems than in Fanfiction to upload this, so if you want this with a lot less mistakes, because it is much easier to work with that one, search for this story on that site.

So, comments [If they are too big you'll have to go to the marked chapter to check 'em out]:

Trex is first, and in the first chapter, with almost three foking months of wait time… I may have to address comments the moment they appear then o3o. The reason to wait for replies was good (I think) but holy fuck this is not exactly 'nice' on my part.

Well, first thanks for the compliment ^^. Second: I hope you saw that Carlos is NOT the only one that needs therapy, as well as the reason behind why they are all fucked up. Some of these problems are more 'self inflicted' than others, but most of them were clearly pushed on them. Similarly, I hope the answer to the harem is clear XD. Though it won't be an 'harem' in the strict sense for a while considering not everyone is going to be there for the regular harem purposes… for a while at least. As for the Hazbin crew? Man, they are ten years away within this story's canon, and while the story WON'T cover the ten years (I plan on having 3 to 4 years, and not all months will be an Act), getting there will take time, more so considering Helluva Boss would come a year before that within this story. But the answer is that, yes, if I keep going THAT long, they will appear of course o3o.

Notchbrine comes next on chapter 7.

I wonder if some Sins would come by, maybe the friendlier ones like Queen Bee? It'd be interesting to see the family react to a Sin that doesn't look/act as their Sin would indicate.

The answer to this is, yes. I had planned for Asmodeus to be the first to visit for many reasons (some of which I won't divulge, of course), though a visit to Lust will come first, and some shenanigans and drama will happen before the visit itself. Consider it mild interest on the Sin's part (considering they are mighty fucking old and this is perhaps a first in this version of the Vivzieverse's Hell), as well as a chance to prod so they may get their own deals in. Remember: The family will not be forced or coerced, but if they are interested… individuals may make deals at their own leisure.

And that is it, cos this story is still young and not made for light readers. That, and I am a complete mess. Hah!

Now, with this lil bit done, let's get one issue out of the way.

Why won't this month have any chapters for you guys to read:

Simply put? Part of the original task I set out for is done. That doesn't mean the story IS done (Fuck, I have a lot more in story), only that the original purpose is fulfilled. Which purpose? Getting me back into writing.

Look, long story short: I have been writing for twenty years, some of those years were spent writing for commissions, translations and so on. Basically earning my keep like that. This kind of work, like any other, can burn you down however, and too much too fast… Well, I guess you probably know where this goes. Suffice to say that I stopped properly writing for a long time, but not planning.

Ouroboros was born of both Helluva and Hazbin as well as one of the many ideas for books I have been ironing in my mind. Of course there are many differences, but that is not important here. What is important is this: I am going to start properly working on some of my own works. This will take a lot of time, and those that have gotten this far will probably know why. The FIRST ACT of this damn story is slightly above 150k words. It is bigger than some proper books! AND IT IS A SINGLE FUCKING DAY IN HELL. If I want to, and I do, I can make something huge, and I will.

This, of course, cuts down time for 'less important things' (Meaning, things that don't feed me, because if I could I would just work on this for a while). HOWEVER! I plan on at least uploading one chapter a month starting next month (Because I am now on a roll with something else and I will not let inspiration go to waste), probably more, but I won't make any promises here.

So will I stop with this story? Fek no. But it won't be this fast for a while… or ever. Seriously, if I hadn't had RL problems this probably would've been done in two months instead of three. That is a lot of damn work.

Just have some patience. This will be updated next month again and it will follow a monthly schedule as I make more. That probably means I'll start answering comments every chapter considering the A/N plan may take a lot longer. Next Act is supposed to have 4 to 6 chapters, but that depends on how the story develops, and I won't make anyone wait SIX DAMN MONTHS for a reply.

That is pretty much it for a reason. Hope it doesn't disappoint anyone that this will go slower.

But do I have any info to give you guys about the next Act? Or this one perhaps?

A few things.

First -

Yes, it is a truckload of characters. No, MOST chapters after this won't have most of them appear at once, because holy fuck. Yes, they are all necessary for the plot to go as I envisioned it to go. No, I won't tell you how many will stay or leave. Suffice to say some will suffer huge changes in the second year, and a few's whole purpose will take until the end of the story to be made clear, while others will become secondary rather quickly, but all are needed.

Second -

I don't know how many girls I want to place in the harem. Originally it was 8 (Similar to the story that helped spawn this fanfiction), but I designed more. Whether I use them or not depends on what you guys think and how the story develops. I don't want to make it massive anyway, but who knows? Inspiration makes us do weird stuff.

Third, and most simple -

Next Act will have us mostly dealing with Stolas, some Octavia and a bit of Stella while the young(ish) in the family learn magic. So hopefully it will be a lighter Act to digest (Prolly not really).
