CHAPTER 6

Naruto wasted no time as he flew at high speeds towards the base of the rebellion, its location being provided to Naruto by Hiruzen. A trip which would take the average ninja days to achieve was done in an hour. Obviously, Naruto was no average ninja.

He landed just a short distance away from the camp, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention. He walked on an already created footpath, and not long after he arrived at a large camp which harbored those who were against the rule of the Mizukage.

"Halt! State your purpose!" shouted one of the two guards.

The other guard 2 bumped him with his elbow as the guard 1 looked at him, guard 2 learned into his ear and whispered, "That's Naruto Uzumaki, the one who was rumored to have become Jonin at 8 years old.". Guard 1's eyes widened, he looked towards the impassive Naruto who stood patiently for the two to finish.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to speak to the rebel leader. Tell them I'd like to assist in the war." Naruto spoke, interrupting the two.

The guards began whispering to each other again, "What if he wants to kill her when we bring her here." Guard 1 suggested.

"If he wanted to do that, he would've just started slashing with that sword of his. Maybe he really wants to end the war..." Guard 2 said.

"Fine, I'll bring her here, but if this goes wrong, it's all your fault." Guard 1 said as he turned to Naruto, "Ahem, I'll bring the leader here, just give me a moment.". He left as guard 2 kept an eye on Naruto, although he was a bit scared.

SCENE CHANGE

In one of the largest tents in the camp stood two people, two very important people. One of them was a beautiful, tall, slender woman with fair skin. She has green eyes, and ankle-length, auburn hair styled into a herringbone pattern at the back, a top-knot tied with a dark blue band, and with four bangs at the front. Two bangs are short, with one covering her right eye, and two are long, crossing each other on her bust, just below her chin. This was the leader of the rebellion, Mei Terumi.

Across the table where she sat was aa middle-aged man with blue hair which was styled in a moused-up manner. His left eye was blue, and his right eye was covered with an eye-patch, under which he concealed the Byakugan that he obtained from a Hyūga clan member he defeated. He wore a talisman in each ear with the kanji for a humble form of "to hear" (承, shō) written on them twice on each side. These talismans reacted when his Byakugan was under threat and would protect it from anyone, even himself. He also wore the standard striped, grey suit, with a green haori that had white trimmings that stop halfway down, over them, and a forehead protector. With the outbreak of the Fourth Shinobi World War, he donned the standard outfit of the shinobi alliance with a Hidden Mist flak jacket over it. This was the general of the army, Mei's second in command, Ao.

"Ms Terumi, many of our men have fallen in the last battle, the territories we held are decreasing day by day, we are losing ground and if we don't do something about this, we will lose the war." Ao said, frustration in his voice.

Meei rubbed her head, already feeling the incoming migraine. "I'm aware Ao, and I'm trying my best to make do with what we have... but it's not easy fighting against a Jinchuuriki." she responded. Their conversation was interrupted by someone entering their tent.

"You better have a good explanation for interrupting us." Ao threatened as the guard defensively put his hands up.

"Trust me, you and Leader will want to hear this." The guard said as the two now gave him their full attention. "Naruto Uzumaki, the S rank shinobi from what I just read. He said he's here to assist in ending the war." the guard said, shocking the two as they looked at each other.

The two looked at each other for a minute, in a silent interaction, contemplating what to do with the unexpected appearance of Naruto. Mei stood up, "Take me to him."

Ao, hearing this, quickly shot up, "Ms Temuri, you can't be serious. If anything, this could just be a ploy from the Mizukage.".

"Perhaps, but we are on the losing front Ao. If this is truly Naruto Uzumaki, then his help would be tremendous." Mei said as she looked at the guard, who nodded and left, with Mei following him. Ao sighed and only hoped for the best as he followed after them.

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto stood, patiently as he could sense the leader approaching with the guard, along with another unknown chakra which Naruto guessed was a general as his signature was higher than the rest but lower than the leader.

A few minutes later, the three came within the view of Naruto and in typical Mei fashion, 'He's quite the handsome one, his pictures do not do him justice.' she thought with a dreamy look on her face. As the three arrived Naruto did a slight bow of respect.

"I'm assuming you're the leader. Your chakra signature is quite impressive." Naruto said, putting his hand out to shake.

Mei's face turned from a dreamy expression to a stern one, although being handsome, him being a leaf shinobi did not gain him any favors due to the leaf rejecting her pleas for help. "As much as I appreciate any and all help, I trust you understand why im weary of the situation, especially since the Hidden Leaf refused to help." She spoke.

Naruto put his hand down, "I heard your pleas for help, I was listening in when you asked the Hokage and in my opinion, he was an idiot to turn it down. With the shinobi of the leaf, the Jichuuriki could be subdued, and the war would've been over by now. But I'm here to remedy that mistake. I can do all you need to win the war." Naruto said, complete confidence in his abilities.

Ao stepped up, "And you expect us to simply believe that?"

Naruto shook his head, "Of course not, you would be stupid to simply believe me." he said, kind of agitating Ao. "I'll prove myself, by taking what would be considered a suicide mission for one person to take. Taking over a fort for example." Naruto suggested.

Ao looked towards the Mizukage as they seemed to be considering it. The two nodded at each other as they turned to Naruto, "Very well." Mei said as she took out a map from her pocket. She opened the map as she pointed towards a marked area, "Just North-West from here is a fort consisting of a great deal of the Mizukage's shinobi. If we manage to obtain this fort, we will not only take out more of the Mizukage's forces, but it will also allow us to expand our territory, which may catch his attention." Mei explained.

Naruto studied the map for a second as he nodded and put up one finger, "One day, that's all I need." he said as he disappeared.

"Do you think he'll succeed?" Ao asked.

Mei rolled up the scroll and put it in her pocket, "I don't know, he seemed to be confident in himself." she said.

"Confidence he has... but can he back it up... that's the question." Ao said.

"...his eyes... did you see his eyes?" Mei asked.

Ao nodded, "A sharingan on his right eye and an unknown eye on his left... matches his description in the bingo book"

"Quite the unique one he is... unique, handsome and powerful, sounds like the perfect husband." Mei said as her expression turned dreamy once again. Ao shook his head, only hoping that the boy had no malicious intentions towards the rebellion.

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto, after getting out of sight, began to fly towards the fortress. Flying seamlessly through the forest. After a few seconds he slowed down his flying, sensing the fortress nearby. He landed as he began to walk towards the fortress.

"So, what's the plan?" Kurama asked

"You're awake..." Naruto said more than asked.

"Of course, I am, I heard fortress and taking over." Kurama responded

"Fair enough, taking over a fortress. A structure with man floors I'm assuming, what do you think I should use?" Naruto asked.

"How about fighting only using your dual wielding. The only exception is your Rinnegan since you can't turn that off, but the Sharingan you have to turn off. I want to see a bloodbath." Kurama said

"Very well." Naruto simply answered and turned off his sharingan. The fortress soon came into view as Naruto slowly but surely approached it.

A guard saw Naruto approaching the fortress as he ran up to him "Halt! State your purpose!" A guard said.

"I intend on killing everyone in this fortress." The guard quickly gets on guard and prepares to call for reinforcements, but a sword was already through his heart. Naruto removed the sword as the guard clenched his heart, falling in a pool of his own blood, his life slowly leaving his shocked eyes. Naruto dodged two arrows, coming from the two watchtowers beside the main gate. Naruto entered the gates as he entered and began to climb up the west tower, before he reached the top, he was met by the guard who shot the arrow. The guard tried to attack Naruto but he was swiftly cut in half. Naruto made his way up the stairs as he reached the top. He looked to the other tower to see the other guard who shot another arrow towards him. Naruto threw his sword with tremendous speed as the sword cut the arrow in half. The guard dodged to the side, but as the sword swished passed him, he felt a presence behind him. He turned to see Naruto, his one black eye and one glowing rinnegan seemingly gazing at the man soul, the guard was terrified. The man stepped back but he was stabbed through the back of the head by a flying sword. Naruto grabbed the sword as the man fell, dead. Naruto exited the watchtower as he went towards the door of the tower. The building had 5 floors in it, but he had sensed a lot of the shinobi within the 1st floor. Naruto entered, the large doors catching people's attention. "Intruder!" one of the shinobi said, Naruto allowed him to call for reinforcements as he saw many shinobi entering the room.

Naruto ran into the tower as the shinobi met him in the middle. Naruto ducked a kunai as deeply he stabbed a shinobi through the stomach, leaving only the hilt on his side. Naruto appeared behind another shinobi as he kicked him to the stabbed shinobi, stabbing him with the same sword. Naruto removed the sword as the guards fell. He swung his right arm and thrusted his left arm behind him. Cutting off two heads and stabbing another guard respectively. The massacre of the first floor continued as each and every floor was cut down. None remained alive, Naruto stood in the middle of the room, bodies filling the room. His senses told him that everyone else was waiting for him on the other floors, he graciously accepted the invitation as he ran up to the other floors.

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto walked out the tower, his swords covered in blood, but his clothes weren't, after all it was hard to remove red from white clothing.

"I should've said to only use your toes or something." Kurama said.

"I would've done it easily as well. Now to return to Mei with the good news."

"Just sounds like sleeping to me." Kurama closed the link and he went to sleep as Naruto began flying towards the camp.

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto flew through the forest, although he had to duck and weave through multiple trees. Flying was one of the only times he was able to just move and not think. Since his training with Indra and Asura, his mind had been plagued with thoughts for the future, thoughts of plans, who to recruit, who to kill, what to do. But he felt free of any burden when he was in the sky. Unfortunately, he's very fast, as quick as he felt his freedom, as soon as it ended as he sensed the rebellion camp approaching closer, he sighed as he landed and took to the rest of the journey on foot. He slightly flared his chakra to alert the sensors as he walked at a slow pace, hoping the guards would alert the Mei by the time he got there.

A few minutes later the camp comes into view as Naruto sees the Mizukage, Ao and a few guards around them.

"I truly hope you understand my disbelief of a successful mission, especially the site is 2 days of travel away, yet you returned at dusk on the same day." Mei said.

"Hm… I understand, well. We can go to the site if you wish to check yourself my Lady." Naruto said.

Ao interjected, "As if, taking such a trip will leave us vulnerable for an attack on our base. We can't afford sending out any more men."

Naruto closed his eyes, "I understand, then allow me to show you." He said as his base sharingan activated, looking at Mei as memories from the moment he left to the moment he returned. Ao and the guards, seeing their leader dazed, unleased their weapons as they prepared to attack. Before Ao could give the order, Mei raised her hand, halting them in their tracks.

"Enough!" she yelled, she stared intently at Naruto, meeting his unwavering Purple and red eyes. Honestly, Mei felt both intimidated and interested. "I'll allow it… but we'll be keeping an eye on you."

Naruto slightly bowed "Thank you."

She turned as she began to walk away, "Guards, give him a place to rest. I need to think this over.". Ao and some guards followed behind her as the two gate guards approached Naruto and guided him to a resting place.

One guard stood in front as the other stood behind, "Don't think of trying anything." One of the guards spoke, trying to look tough.

Naruto was amused at guards words, "Worry not, I will behave." He responded.

A few minutes later, the guards led Naruto to a tent as he thanked them. The guards went to report to Mei as Naruto laid on the bed, resting. He closed his eyes as he appeared in the mindscape, seeing a sleeping Kurama.

"I know you're awake." He said as Kurama opened his eye.

"What do you want?" he groggily asked

"I managed to get them to somewhat get their trust, they trust me enough to let me sleep here. Now all I need to do is end this war then get them on my side and I'll have a whole village on my side." He explained

"Hm… I see. I have a request." Kurama asked as Naruto listened. "This Mizukage has Isobu, the 3 tails, within him correct?" Naruto nodded, "Allow me to talk to him, it's been a while since I've seen my siblings."

Naruto smirked, "Never took you for the family type." He mocked.

"Shut it, I just wonder what he's doing when his host is leading a war." Kurama said, he knew Isobu, he was a lazy ass turtle. There's no way he'd just let this happen, something must've happened.

"Fine, we'll see about this later, for now I sense Mei incoming." Naruto said as he disappeared from the mindscape. He opened his eyes in the real world as Mei enters his tent.

"Forgive me for intruding on your rest, but I'm sure you understand why im here." She said.

"Of-course, there's enough space on the bed for the both of us." He offered.

"Heh… you'd have to take me out first, but I'll won't be here long. I just want to know what your deal is. It's suspicious to receive help from the Hidden Leaf after being rejected years ago. " Mei was a hardened warrior, her life in Kiri and the current war forcing her too. But even she had to admit, she felt a little scared seeing Naruto cut through every shinobi with ease. The worst in the fortress were Chunin and the best were Jonin, yet Naruto made them look like Genin.

Naruto stayed silent for a moment, "Mei Terumi, I am not loyal to the Hidden leaf Village." He spoke.

Mei snapped her head towards him, her eyes widened. "What?" she asked?

"I'm helping you in this war to help you and me, After I finish this war, I want you to rebuild, recover, and join me, not the Leaf." Mei stayed silent, not sure if she was hearing correctly. "This world is on it's last legs, wars constantly being on the horizon, and in your case, civil wars caused by your own Kage. All it takes it one mess up from a village and it's the 4th great shinobi war. I decided, Instead of waiting for everything to happen, I should initiate. I will remove the old generations of leaders and put in new ones, and they will all fall under me. I'll be the true mastermind behind the scenes." Naruto explained.

Silence filled the room as Mei tried to read Naruto's emotionless face for any lies but couldn't find any. "You tell me all of this, how do you know I won't betray you and rat you out to the Hidden Leaf?"

"Because you're a smart woman. But should it happen I could simply erase your memory of anything I don't need you to know. Additionally, I will kill any and all that get in my way, including you."

"I see… if you can truly defeat Yagura and end this war, then the Hidden Mist will be with you." Mei said. At this point, she might agree to any offers of help as it is impossible for them to defeat a perfect Jinchuuriki.

"Consider it done. Now, about my abilities… I will explain another day, for now, I must rest. Tomorrow I will take on any and all of your most difficult missions. By the end of the month I'll do enough damage to draw Yagura out, then I'll kill him." Naruto said.

"Heh… you make it sound so simple."

"It is, trust me." Naruto said as he closed his eyes. Mei turned and left the tent, with a lot in her mind.

'I hope I'm doing the right thing.'

YESSSSIIIIR, it's not an abandoned story…. Well it was but I remembered how I hated authors who didn't finish stories, especially good stories so I decided to finish this story. Hope you enjoyed the chapter, things will be wonky since I lost the information wrote initially on the characters abilities and the planning so I had to restart everything. So don't be too surprised if a few things don't match up or things are repeated, I'll try to fix them. Fun fact, this chapter was completely different initially and it was written in September last year, then April, then it was finished today. Anyways, see you next time, later.
