Chapter 12 Dinner with Scott
After ten minutes Inuyasha finally arrives to the dining room. Scott says I am glad that you came. It has been a long time since I had someone to join me. Inuyasha just blushes. Then says how can I refuse this kind of service. Being personally escorted to the dining room. Scott says I am happy the you like it. But I can understand that it will take some time getting used to. Inuyasha just nods. Scott then points to chair that is empty. Inuyasha was about to sit down but then says would it be any trouble if the chair be move next to you. Scott's eyes just go wide and accidentally chokes on the water in his mouth.
Peter and Chris's mouths are just opened in shock. They both just look to Scott for conformation. Scott just nods his head. So Peter and Chris move the chair next to Scott. After that was done Inuyasha sat down. Scott noticed that he was blushing a little and smiled. Scott asks how are you liking it here so far? Inuyasha says it is amazing. Being waited on hand and foot rocks. I could get used to this type of living. Scott smiles then says I am glad that you enjoying yourself. Scott asks if it is okay if I ask you some questions. Inuyasha then nods. So do you have any siblings and what are your hobbies? Inuyasha says yes but he died long ago. My hobbies are reading, writing, singing, fishing, watching cartoons, and playing videogames.
What about you Inuyasha asks? Scott says I did but he died at a young age also my mom died when I was young and my father died years ago in battle. My hobbies are reading, taking long walks, sight seeing, and fishing. But I have never watched cartoons before or played videogames before. My father was overly strict in raising me and hardly ever let me have some free time to laze around sadly. Hearing this Inuyasha couldn't help but cry because he never really had a normal childhood. During their conversation the table was being set with the food. The first thing that he noticed was the large display of various types of food which made his mouth water. Then his belly bellowed a loud growl. This in which made Scott chuckle.
After the table was set the servants bowed and left. Inuyasha looked at Scott in shock. Says is this really all for us. Scott just nods. Inuyasha states I don't think you should go all out just to impress me. Scott just says I want you to feel comfortable and well satisfied when you go to bed later. It doesn't matter where you start just dig in. Plus don't worry about making a mess my servants will clean any mess is made. Inuyasha just nods and digs in. Twenty minutes into dinner Inuyasha asks how old are you? Scott says I am 20 but will be 21 in a few days. Scott asks how about you? I just recently celebrated my 28th birthday a few months ago. Scott just looks a Inuyasha with shock and slightly chokes on his food. Then says 28 I would've guess 19 or early 20s. Inuyasha just shrugs it is my DNA it makes me look younger than I actually am.
About that do you mind me asking what you are. Inuyasha just looks at Scott with bewilderment and astonishment. Simply states that no one has ever asked me what I really was. Everyone also scowled at me in fear and resentment. Thinking that I was an abomination even though none of them were not entirely even human either. But anyway what I am is a half-demon. Scotts eyes went wide. Stating your really a half-demon. Inuyasha just nods. Then Scott says I thought all demons and half-demons died off centuries ago. At least that is what I learned from reading. Inuyasha says that is true I am the last of them. Scotts eyes just went even wider because he was staring and talking to a living relic of an age long gone.
Inuyasha just smiles. Then says I know it must be a shocked to you. Scott just nods. Then Scott asks how did you survive the extermination of your species if it isn't to much to ask? Inuyasha swallows the food that he was chewing then takes a deep breath. Then says I really don't know I really remember much from my past.
I had a traumatic experience when I was very little that cost me to lose most of my memory of my past. Scott asks how did you survive on your own? Inuyasha says after my father and mother scarified their lives to help me to escape. I guess I managed to survive through instinct until I was 4. Then Scott asks what happened when you were four?
Inuyasha says for starter I was gravely injured by a pack of werewolves. I would've died if a kind pack of werewolves hadn't found me. Then nursed me back to health. Then a couple years later when I was strong enough they gave me a choice to leave or stay with them till I was old enough to fend for myself.
Then Scott asks what did you choose. Inuyasha then says I chose to leave the pack to find my own place in life. Then I was adopted a year later. Scott can understand finding one's own path on their own. Since he has dealt with it himself since he was young as well. Then Scott asks why do you look like that now if it was not to much to ask. Inuyasha ponders for a moment then answers on the night of the new moon I shift to my human state. Scott just nods.
Remembering in a book that he once read that half-demons have a period of time when they lose their demon powers. Realizing that the night of the new moon is Inuyasha's time period. Then realizing that the food was starting to get cold they go back to eating. Then a hour later with their bellies filled plus got a chance to know each other. Then getting up and telling each other goodnight. Peter escorts Inuyasha back to his room. Then bids him sweet dreams.
