Chapter 32 Adrian's first birthday and the passing of Hojo
The next morning Inuyasha wakes up early. So, quietly climbing out of bed so not to wake up Scott he heads downstairs to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before heading out. Thirty minutes later, Inuyasha goes to find Peter and Chris after ten minutes of looking he finds them in the library.
Chris
Hey, sire what are you doing up so early in the morning?
Peter
Yeah, shouldn't you be resting off the big party last night.
Inuyasha
Yeah, about that I was thinking.
Chris
About what?
Inuyasha
About your guys gifts.
Chris and Peter
What about it?
Inuyasha
Well, I am grateful for it but I don't know how to shoot a bow. And I don't want to hurt myself or anyone else. So, I was thinking if both of you could teach me since you both are hunters. And to be skilled in sword and bow would be pretty badass. Not to mention I would be able to provide and protect my family in case if we are ever in danger in any sort of way.
Chris
You give some good points but what does Scott say in this matter.
Inuyasha
I don't care what he has to say. I am my own person and can make my own decisions without his approval. Not to mention I am pregnant so you wont want to make me mad.
Peter and Chris
Very well! Just don't come to us crying if you get yelled at.
Inuyasha
I won't if anything does happen, I will make sure to tell him it was my idea I promise.
Chris
So, when do you want to do this?
Inuyasha
I was thinking this Friday at 8am.
Chris
Very well, but this is going to bite us all in the ass later if and when the king finds out. Is there anything else we can help you with?
Inuyasha
No, nothing. Thanks again guys for the party and this. But I better get back before the king wakes up. You know how much he worries about me.
Peter
Yeah, you better get back before the king wakes.
After saying goodbyes to each other Inuyasha then goes back to his bedroom. Ten minutes later Inuyasha arrives to the doors. But, before entering Inuyasha is tackled to the floor. After regaining his composure he realizes that it was just little Adrian.
Inuyasha
Hey little one what are you done here and where is your father?

Oh him he is still asleep. I wanted to see you godfather. Also since it is my birthday I demand to spend it with you and Uncle Scott.
Inuyasha
Very well but we need to let your father know first. But before that do you want to surprise my mate by awaking him up for me.

So, Inuyasha opens the door to let Adrian in. Not twenty seconds later, Adrain pounces on Scott surprising him so badly. Causing him to shift into his primal form to defend himself but quickly calmed down when he realized that it was just Adrian. So he shifts back into his humanoid form.
Scott
You little stinker. you shouldn't do that especially to a fellow alpha because they could take it as an act of challenge.

I know that but it wasn't my idea it was your mates.
Scott then looks to Inuyasha, seeing him laughing his ass off from the scene that just unfolded. So he then pounces onto Inuyasha. By the time he lands on Inuyasha he was back in his primal form. But before he lands on Inuyasha, Adrian jumps out of his arms to prevent from getting injured. In which caused Inuyasha to fall over flat on his ass with wolf Scott on top of him. Scott then starts to maul him with licks and nips all over his body. So, Inuyasha quickly pushes him off then shifts into his primal form to play fight with him.
Adrian jumps out of the way to also prevent from getting trampled. After thirty minutes, of fighting Scott ultimately Inuyasha was pinned down again. Afterwards Scott gets off Inuyasha and they both shift back into their humanoid forms. Not caring that they were naked they embraced each other in hugs and kisses. Twenty minutes later, they broke apart then went to grab clothes to redress. After getting dressed Inuyasha walks over to Adrian and picks him up. Holding in his arms like a mother holding a newborn babe.
Scott
So little one why are you here. Not that I appreciate the surprise but what brought you here.

Well, as you know it is my birthday. Since it is also my first birthday, I demand you both to spend it with me.
Scott
How so?

First, we will all have breakfast together.
Second, we will go out on a run together.
Third, we will go for a swim together.
Fourth, we will go on a hut together and eat what we kill together for lunch.
Fifth, we will come back to castle and head to the library where you two will read me a story before my nap.
Lastly, after I wake from my nap, we will meet up with everyone in the ballroom for dinner and the party.
Scott
Sounds like a plan little one. But first we should let your father know. I am sure he is worried about you Adrian.

Scott and Inuyasha
Yes!
Adrian whines then lowers his head in submission. Seeing this Inuyasha goes over to pick him up. Then starts to cradle Adrian in his arms causing him to let out a purr like growl. Causing Inuyasha and Scott to giggle. So, then Scott and Inuyasha leave their bedroom and to the cave where the pack is living. Upon arriving the entire pack comes running out in their primal forms because they smelled Adrian. When the pack arrived to the entrance to great their guests they see that it was just the king and his mate.
So, after realizing who it was, they shift back to their humanoid forms. Not caring that he was naked Koga walks up to grab Adrian from Inuyasha but he blocks him.
Koga
Give my son to me right this instant pup!
Inuyasha
That I cannot do! You see Scott and I made a promise to him and we plan to uphold that promise.
Koga
Oh, really what sort of promise?
Scott
We promised to spend most of the day with him for his birthday until the dinner and party tonight.
Koga looks to his son to confirm what they said was true Adrian nods his head. Then Koga walks over to his son to pet him.
Koga
Very well, but you both better watch out for him every second and not lose sight of him. Also make sure he takes his nap on time. Lastly is fed and cleaned by dinner and the party tonight. And I mean it pup if you break these conditions I might revoke you status as his godfather.
Inuyasha
I promise my pack father and I accept these conditions also the consequences as well.
Koga
Good, and you little one you better be on your best behavior, and listen to everything and I mean everything that, they both say you here me.

Koga
Good!
Koga then leans down and licks Adrian's face affectionately in which caused him to groan in embarrassment in turn cause everyone to giggle at him. After Koga gave his love and affection to his son Inuyasha and Scott left and headed for the dining hall. After thirty minutes, the three of them arrived at the dining hall and sat down. Three minutes later, Victoria comes out of the kitchen greeting them.
Victoria
Hey there, my king and king's mate also little Adrian. How may I help you three?
Scott
If you could, please prepare use breakfast coexisting with steak, eggs, bacon, ham, milk, and juice also please blend little Adrian's food so it is easier for him to eat lastly put his drinks in some baby bottles as well.
Victoria
Very well, how would you and Inuyasha like you eggs, bacon, and steak cooked.
Scott
We will have the steaks rare, eggs scrambled, and the bacon semi crispy.
Victoria
Very well, just give me a half hour and I'll have that right out for you all.
So, for the next thirty minutes Scott and Inuyasha just chat and discuss their plans for the coming months leading up to the birth of their children. Five minutes later, Victoria come out of the kitchen pushing a cart full of the food. A minute later, Victoria started to set the table with plates, silverware, and the food. Also placed a bowl with blended food on the floor for Adrian then she bowed and left. After Victoria left to clean up the kitchen the boys started to eat.
Thirty minutes later, the boys finished eating. Victoria came out of the kitchen to grab all of the dishes and went back to the kitchen to finish cleaning. After Victoria finished grabbing all of the dishes the boy's thanks her for the meal. Afterwards Scott picked up Adrian and they left the dining hall. Then the three of them heading outside to the gardens. Scott put Adrian down then both Scott and Inuyasha disrobed and shifted into their primal forms.
Then ran into the woods. After doing so the three of them went for a run for the next two hours. Two hours later, the three of them stop at the edge of the creek to get a drink of water. After rehydrating they headed to the pond to go for a swim. Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the pond to the edge of the dock and jumped into the water. Just as they three of them jumped into the water Scott and Inuyasha shifted back into their humanoid forms mid jump.
So, for the next hour the three of them swam until they got hungry again. An hour later, the three of them heard a growl coming from Inuyasha's stomach. So, Scott looked up to the sky noticing that the sun was halfway down in the sky. Which symbolized afternoon the three of them got out of the water by swimming to shore. After climbing out of the water the three of them shook like canines that they are to remove the water from their bodies.
Three minutes later, after doing so, Scott and Inuyasha shifted back into their primal forms and the three of them went for a hunt. Thirty minutes later, after searching for something to hunt they finally found a small colony of rabbits. Slowly creeping upon them the three of them pounced and each killed one. Scott and Inuyasha gave their kill to Adrian so he can grow big and strong. Scott looked to Inuyasha then said.

Babe, you stay here and watch Adrian I will be back with our lunch.
Inuyasha walks up to Scott and licks his face and then nods. So, Scott left to find a decent sized prey for him and his mate. Ten minutes later, while searching the woods Scott finally comes upon a giant boar. So, Scott quickly but quietly creeps upon the boar and pounced. During mid pounce Scott shifted back into his humanoid form and landed on the boars back. Then quickly killed the boar by slashing its throat open with his claws and snapping its neck with his mouth.
After the boar was dead Scott climbs off of the boar and bends over to pick it up. After picking up the boar he slings it over his shoulder and heads back to the spot where he left Inuyasha and Adrian. Ten minutes later, Scott arrives back and then drops the boar. Afterwards Inuyasha shifts back into his humanoid form. After Inuyasha shifted back into his humanoid form he goes to collect firewood and stones. Thirty minutes later, Inuyasha returns with the stones and wood.
Placing them on the ground then Inuyasha sits down on the ground to set up the campfire. After the campfire was ready Inuyasha used some flint that he found while searching for wood and stones. Striking the flint with a rock to light the fire so to keep them warm since it was early fall. After lighting the fire Inuyasha goes over to join Scott by the boar to eat for lunch. An hour later, after bellies were filled Inuyasha and Scott stands up and walks over to Adrian and then Inuyasha picks him up cradling him in his arms.
Then the two of them head back to the pond to clean off their bodies of blood and dirt. Twenty minutes later, after cleaning off the three of them climb out of the water and then shake the water off their bodies. After that was done Inuyasha picked up Adrian and cradled him in his arms. Then Inuyasha and Scott started walking back to the gardens. Twenty minutes later, they finally arrived at the castle gardens. So, Inuyasha hands Scott Adrian so he could get dressed and vice versa.
After getting dressed they both headed back into the castle heading to the library. Ten minutes later, they arrive at the library. Upon entering the library, they see that Koga was in the library with Liam reading books. Koga then noticed the new arrivals to the library. Seeing that it was the king, the king's mate and his son Adrian.
Koga
So, you guys are back and not a minute late. I am glad that you kept to your words it makes me happy.
Inuyasha
Have you ever doubted me to break a promise that I made to you pack father?
Koga
No, but I am still happy you kept your promise. So, do you boys want to join me and little Liam in story time before these two go down for a nap?
Inuyasha and Scott
Sure!
Scott and Inuyasha head over to the open couch to sit down. After sitting down Liam shifts in his wolf form and jumps into Scott's lap and curls up in a ball. Koga then continues the book that he was reading to Liam. A hour later, Koga notice that both Liam and Adrian were asleep. So, he closes the book and stands up then walks over to the other couch and picks both Adrian and Liam up. Then leaves with them and head to the cave for to put them in the makeshift crib.
Seven minutes later, after using the secret entrance to the cave from the library. He then places both of the boys in the crib. After doing so Koga himself goes to sleep laying down on the makeshift bed out of fur and pelts. Seven minutes prior, after Koga left Scott and Inuyasha left the library to head back to their room. Ten minutes later, they arrived at the room and went inside to go to sleep themselves. Three hours later, Scott and Inuyasha were woken up by a sad and mournful howl.
Jumping out of bed and heading to the source of the noise. Ten minutes later, after arriving to the source they arrive at the cave of the pack. Upon entering the cave they see a sad sight Hojo not moving or breathing and the Twins crying. Scott and Inuyasha walk over to the twins to comfort them after realizing what happened and why they were crying. Hojo passed in his sleep of old age. They also noticed little Adrian was curled up in a ball next to his grandfather.
Inuyasha picked up Adrian to comfort him in doing so to calming him down.
Inuyasha
Its alright little one he is no longer in pain he is with the great moon goddess. So, don't worry he will always be with you in your heart and watching over you as you grow into a great and powerful alpha that your meant to be.

But he is gone. He will never meet your children and my future children well when I am old enough.
Inuyasha
That is true but like I said he will be watching over them and you. Also, there is a part of him as well in your heart. Now don't be sad you still have your birthday party, and your grandfather wouldn't want you to be sad on your birthday, right?
Adrian
Right!
Inuyasha so let's go and have fun. But first let's bury your grandfather also look he left a present for you how about we open it now and see what it is while your father and the twins bury him okay.
Adrian nods. Scott walks over to the present and bends over to pick it up with both hands since it was a big box. Scott then brings it over to Inuyasha and Adrian and places it on the ground then goes to help the boys carry Hojo out of the cave to bury him next to his son Aiden. Inuyasha then sits down on the ground and starts to open the box for Adrian and inside was a wooden cradle carved out of wood with the cradle being held up by carvings of the pack in their wolf forms.
Inuyasha
See, look at the big wolf that is your grandfather. He left a way for you to always have him with you even more now. He carved this cradle out with his own claws so he scent and love is all over it just for you. So, now every night you go to sleep you can imagine yourself laying on his back every time. And in say that Adrian is in a more cheerful mood now. Ten minutes later, the boys return from burying Hojo. Koga then walks over to Inuyasha to grab his son.
Koga
So, son are you ready for dinner and the party?
Adrian nods.
Koga
Alright, let's go boys. I am sure everyone is wondering where we are.
So, the six of them leave the cave together and head through the secret passage from the cave to the library. Seven minutes later, they arrived at the library and five minutes later, they all arrived at the ballroom. Upon entering the ballroom, they see the lights are suddenly turned on.

SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADRIAN!
Adrian yipped in happiness and surprise. Adrian then jumped out of Inuyasha's arms but in mid jump he shifted into his humanoid form. In which shocked his father since he didn't shift humanoid till the age of four. Then he ran over to the food. Then Koga runs over to his son to pick up wrapping him in a blanket. Inuyasha then goes over the table with the presents grabbing the gift from Him and Scott. Opening it revealing a onesie and diapers. Then hands them to Koga.
Koga taking them then heading to couch in the ballroom to dress Adrian to make him look more decent. Then they both walk back to the table with food and presents. Then presents were handed to Adrian one by one.
Victoria gives Adrian a small box. Adrian opens it and inside the box is some baby toys and books.
Peter gives Adrian a small box. Adrian opens it and inside the box is some baby clothes with wolves on them.
Chris gives Adrian a medium box. Adrian opens it and inside the box is some baby blankets.
Melissa gives Adrian a large box. Adrian opens it and inside the box is a rocking horse.
Rafael gives Adrian a large box. Adrian opens it and inside the box is a crib.
Shippou gives Adrian a small box. Adrian opens it and inside is a drawing of the pack.
Allison gives Adrian a medium box. Adrian opens it and inside is some knitted clothes and winter clothes.
Ginta gives Adrian a large box. Adrian opens it and inside is a dog bed.
Hakkaku gives Adrian a large box. Adrian opens it and inside is a woven bed made out of fur.
Liam gives Adrian small box. Adrian opens it and inside is a necklace made out of shells and noodles with a wolf claw in the middle.
Koga gives Adrian a giant box. Adrian opens it and inside a baby bed.
After the presents were handed out and opened everyone sat at the big table in the middle of the ballroom. Three minutes later Koga got up to start serving everyone. Ten minutes later, after that was done Koga sat back down and everyone started to eat. For the next hour conversations were made. After the food and dessert were eaten Koga then noticed that Adrian had fallen asleep. So, he got up and picked up Adrian cradling him in his arms. Then turns to everyone.
Koga
Thanks, everyone for the gifts and the party it was amazing it was much appreciated.
