I was a little time poor this week, so for the prompts 14days event prompts, Breathless Kisses and Ask Me To Stay, here is an excerpt from something new I have in the works. A sort of AU Steampunk, gothic romance. At least, that's what I envision in my head. Hopefully I can pull it off. Story summary insides, as there is not enough space here!

A death at the Winter Palace is not, exactly, a rare occurrence. The culprit, in the end, is far too easy to catch and the motive behind it, easier still for Celene to understand. At best, this little accident has only helped Morrigan and Celene understand each other a little better. TW: descriptions of a corpse and very mild (implied) sexual assault.
