No.
Not today. Not today for fuck's sake.
Hannah walked out and looked at me, and the smile dropped from her face. "What's the matter?"
"Theo is here. Do me a favor, Hannah. Please, calmly walk over to Luna and let her know that something has come up. Tell her that Knott is here, but not to call the guys. We've all had some drinks; we don't want this night to end badly. I'm okay. Please, reassure her that I am okay. I cannot stress to you enough that I don't want to see any trouble."
"Are you sure that I should leave you here?"
"This needs to end."
I slowly walked over to Theo, who was sitting at the bar nursing a drink. A smile crossed his face, and he lifted his hands up to show that he had nothing to hide.
"Hello, peaches. How's it going? Look, hands are up. I've got nothing on me. I come in peace."
"What the flying fuck do you want? How did you find me?"
"Would you believe that it was pure coincidence?"
"Nothing is with you, Theodore. Did you not get the message the last time around?"
"Oh, peaches, why can't we handle this like adults who have a colorful history?"
"Colorful history? That's a sick way of looking at it. Again, I'm going to ask: What do you want? I am so tired of this back and forth. I want nothing to do with you. I want you gone from my life. I am happy, I am fulfilled, and you are this dark, disgusting cloud that keeps showing up in my life. What do you want?"
"Ouch, love, a dark, disgusting cloud? Listen, I just want my good name back. You've spun this colorful tale to make it look like I'm this great villain when you weren't an active participant." And before he could get another word out, my fist made contact with his face.
"Ouch, peaches. That's a mean right hook, but you're not getting away with it that easily." He had my wrist in his hand, a tight grip.
Suddenly, a large burly man stepped up behind the bar, pointing a wand at Theo, who instantly dropped my wrist.
"Do we have a problem here? Miss Granger, are you okay?"
At that moment, everything was a blur, and the next thing I knew, I looked over, and a furious, fiery, white-blonde fairy was standing next to me. "What in the hell, Hermione? What is this son of a bitch doing here? What did you do? Did you hit him?"
"I don't know. I hit him. Yes."
"Hermione, I'm calling Harry."
"No, Luna, not tonight. Your bachelorette."
Luna cut me off immediately. "Don't you dare. I'm tired of this son of a bitch. He needs out. We're done with him. We cannot keep waiting for this fool to show up whenever he feels like stirring up trouble. Is this what we needed, right? For him to try to do something?" Luna looked over at the burly man pointing his wand at Theo, who looked miserable and seated at the bar. "Carter, are you okay? Did this fool do any damage?"
"No, Miss. Lovegood. All is good. I'll keep him here. You call who you need."
"I'm calling Harry, Hermione. That's that. This is now officially an enforcement matter, and it's our ticket to get rid of him."
Theo looked over our way. "Ladies, I am standing right here."
"You shut the fuck up. You just made the highlight of my bachelorette party. Getting rid of you has been on my bucket list, so thank you for that." With that, Luna stepped away and picked up her phone, and within minutes, Harry, Draco, and Blaise had all arrived and made their way to the commotion.
Draco and I locked eyes, and he walked over to me, held me in his arms, and whispered into my hair, "Please tell me that you're okay. He didn't do anything, did he?"
"No, Draco. I'm okay. It's okay. It's over."
Harry walked over to us. "Are you okay, Hermione? I just took Carter's statement, and we have enough to send him away, at least until trial."
Theo looked over, a smug look planted on his face.
"Hey Potter, long time no see. Look at you, Boy Who Lived, is now Head Auror? Of course, how predictable. All that's missing is a Weasley." He turned around, looking at Harry and Hermione with a satisfied smirk. "It's been a long time, but I guess some things never change. What are you going to take me in for? It's Granger here spinning tales, who needs to answer for her-"
At that moment, for the second time that night, a fist made contact with Theo's face, this time knocking him to the ground. Draco's chest was heaving as he stood over Theo's unconscious body.
"You dare to talk about Hermione like that, you slimy bastard?" Draco's voice was laced with fury, his knuckles white from clenching his fists.
Hermione stepped closer to Draco, placing a hand on his arm to calm him down. "Draco, it's okay. He's not worth it."
Draco turned to Hermione, his anger still palpable. "He had no right to speak about you that way, Hermione. This ends now"
Harry stepped forward, placing a hand on Draco's shoulder. "He's not worth your time, mate. Let's call for some backup and get him out of here."
Harry called for additional Aurors to assist in handling the situation. Soon, a team arrived to secure Theo and take him into custody.
As the Aurors hauled Theo away, Luna, Blaise, Hermione, Draco, and Hannah gathered together, trying to salvage the last of Luna's bachelorette party. The atmosphere was tense, but they were determined not to let Theo's presence ruin the night entirely.
Luna took a deep breath and looked at her friends. "Well, that was unexpected. But you know what? We're not going to let him ruin our night. Let's make the most of what's left of my bachelorette party."
Blaise nodded in agreement. "Luna's right. We've got each other, and we're not going to let some pathetic shit ruin this."
They found a corner of the brewery away from the commotion, where they could enjoy each other's company. They raised their glasses, toasting to Luna and Blaise's upcoming wedding and to the strength of their chosen family.
Draco kept Hermione close the rest of the night, his arm draped around her shoulders, still wired from the events of the night. Hermione leaned into his embrace, finding comfort in his presence.
As the night wore on, laughter and chatter returned to their group. They celebrated the bonds that had brought them all together. Draco's grip on Hermione never wavered, his protectiveness evident in his every gesture. She leaned up to kiss him on the cheek, silently thanking him for being her rock.
And as the night came to a close, Luna's bachelorette party ended on a high note, surrounded by friendship, love, and the unwavering support of those who truly mattered.
As Luna made her way in what can only be described as the most fairy-like ethereal wedding dress I have seen, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about the man beside me. Holding my hand tightly on his own. All the boys, all the failed meaningless one-night stands…..what did they matter if they all brought me here! To him.
The night went by in a blur…..a blur of love and magic. Luna looked like Blaise's Patronus personified. The way they melted together as they danced under the strings of lights in this enchanted forestry place. So much dance, wine, and happiness. It didn't cross my mind until late the following day as Draco and I were enjoying the most wonderful long lazy Sunday dinner on the couch that not a single Weasley was in sight during the entire festivity.
"Hmmmm it just crossed my mind Draco, did you notice something missing from yesterday's festivities?"
"I was too consumed with the luscious purple number you had on to focus on much else but humor me what was missing".
"Haha Draco, well I just thought of the lack of redheads".
"Now why did you have to bring that image to mind? Well at least now I know why I had such a good night, no one to bring down the festivities with their sour attitudes".
"It's just sad that it's all Draco. So much has changed. Some for the better" - I say as I look down to see Draco fluttering kisses up my thigh. "I couldn't be happier if I try".
"That's good to know because I'm not going anywhere Granger. You're under my skin and nothing and I mean nothing and no one will take that from me". The hungry possessive look in his eyes sent a shiver down my spine. I felt his teeth rise higher up my thigh and I shakingly breathed out.
"Well isn't that presumptuous of you"?
"How So?"
I replied, slightly teasingly, "Well, assuming you'll have to keep me under your skin to begin with. Perhaps I'll change my mind and decide to escape to a tropical island with a handsome Muggle lifeguard."
Draco's eyes widened with mock horror. "You wouldn't dare, Granger. I'd hunt you down to the ends of the Earth."
I laughed, running my fingers through his platinum hair. "I guess we'll just have to see, won't we? But for now, I'm content right here with you."
We continued our lazy Sunday dinner, enjoying each other's company and reveling in the warmth of our love. The absence of the Weasleys at Luna's wedding still lingered in the back of my mind, but I didn't want it to overshadow the joyous occasion. Luna and Blaise deserved their moment of happiness, and Draco and I were living our own fairytale.
As the evening sun cast a golden glow through the window, Draco leaned in closer, his voice low and intimate. "You know, Granger, sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am. I never thought I'd find someone who truly understands me, who sees through all the masks I've worn."
I placed my hand on his cheek, looking into his stormy gray eyes. "And I never thought I'd find someone who could challenge me, who sees beyond my know-it-all facade."
Draco smiled softly, his fingers tracing patterns on the back of my hand. "We've come a long way, haven't we?"
Draco leaned in, his lips brushing against mine in a tender kiss. "I'm with you every step of the way, Granger. No matter what challenges we face, no matter how the world changes, I promise to always be by your side."
Draco smiled softly, his fingers tracing patterns on the back of my hand. "We've come a long way, haven't we? From enemies to partners in crime."
"And beyond," I added, a tinge of anticipation in my voice. "Draco, what do you think the future holds for us?"
He gazed at me, his expression filled with a mixture of hope and determination. "I think the future holds endless possibilities for us, Granger. We've overcome so much already, and I believe we can conquer whatever comes our way."
I nodded, feeling a surge of excitement within me. "I believe it too, Draco. Together, we can create a world where our past doesn't define us, where love and acceptance triumph over prejudice and hate."
Draco leaned in, his lips brushing against mine in a tender kiss. "I'm with you every step of the way, Granger. No matter what challenges we face, no matter how the world changes, I promise to always be by your side."
And at that moment, as our lips met and our hearts intertwined, I knew that our love story was just beginning. The past was behind us, the present was blissful, and the future held endless possibilities for Draco and me. Together, we would forge a path filled with love, magic and the unwavering belief that true happiness could be found in the most unexpected places.
