After putting the chest away, Enny proceeds with details of her Wyvern, the Yian Garuga.
"In case any of you forget, the Yian Garuga is also known as the Black Wolf Bird," Enny reminded as her Wyvern leans its head to her right to receive a few pats from her, "It is classified as a Bird Wyvern, but to your standards; you may as well classify this Wyvern as part of the Mystery Class,"
Hiccup and Fishleg wrote this down, then the latter proceeds with a question, "What's their average height? Their wing spans, and the type of fire they breathe out?"
"The Average Height of a Yian Garuga is about 45 feet, and Their Wing Span is much longer. As for their fire," Enny snaps her finger, and her Yian Garuga narrows its sights on an empty field, and breaths out a fireball that explodes upon contact, "They breathe fireballs,"
"Impressive," Fishleg said as he wrote this down,
"But that's just the tip of the iceberg. In this World, The Yian Garuga is a highly aggressive monster, possesses keen night vision, and prefers to hunt at night since their shell makes this monster hard to spot," Enny added, "It kinda reminds you of a certain dragon here, doesn't it?"
Hiccup chuckled as he patted Toothless' head.
"But unlike the nature of a Night Fury, the Black Wolf Bird has a War-like Nature and is often avoided by most hunters. They're also solitary creatures and rarely seen in groups unless it's mating season for them. And here comes the ugly part of its nature,"
"Which is?" Mala inquired,
"After mating, a Yian Garuga will often find a nest belonging to a Yian Kut Ku, A cousin of its species, destroys their eggs without hesitation, and lay their own for the oblivious mother to raise and care for," Enny bluntly reveals, "In other words, the Yian Garuga is a Brood Parasite for its cousin species. As for their reason, it's due to their poor parental behavior and general crazy demeanor"
Everyone seemed shocked knowing that the Wyvern that stood by her aside was so aggressive. They may as well say that the Black Wolf Bird matches the fury of Vikings, Dragons, and more. It was something to admire, and fear at the same time.
"But beneath its personalities lies remarkable intelligence as it avoids certain traps that normal monsters fall into and they link their attacks against opponents. From their shovel-shaped beak to their poisonous tail,"
"Wait, Wait, Wait! Did you just say poisonous tail," Snotlout inquired,
"Indeed, but one that kills you," Enny said as she pulled out an empty cup, went to the tail of her Wyvern, and tapped onto it a few times to extract the poison before showing it to her audience, "Quite deadly, but curable with the herbs of this world,"
"Is there anything else about this Dragon," Hiccup inquired
"Well, they are considered the strongest and most feared member of the Bird Wyvern class. Even top predators would think twice in fighting a Yian Garuga head-on due to the combination of their nearly unparallel aggression and intelligence. They're also carnivorous to lesser predators of the food chain," Enny explained, "They'll even hunt a Yian Kut-Ku if they wanted to,"
"They eat their own kind," Fishleg asked while Meatlug worryingly grumbled,
"Just because their cousins doesn't mean they won't hurt each other. In fact, there is a saying in this world 'If a Yian Kut Ku lives here, a Yian Garuga can't be far,'" Enny cited,
"If spoken of this Yian Kut Ku lately, what does it look like?" Valka inquired,
"The Yian Kut Ku dons brighter colors than this Wyvern of mine. They also call it the Strange Bird, and its quite low on the food chain," Enny summarized,
"I see," Valka understood, "Does your Dragon have a name?"
"No, I haven't named her after I raised her," Enny revealed, "But knowing how easy you all name your dragons, I've already thought of a name beforehand,"
"And what would that be?" Astrid inquired,
"Shierker," Enny revealed,
"Shierker? Why would want to call it that?" Ruffnut questioned,
"It's because of the Yian Garuga's roar," Enny said, then snapped her finger once,
The Yian Garuga then proceeds to flap its wings until it hovers in the air, then lets out its ear-deafening roar that distorts both Vikings and Dragons as they try to block the sound.
After its roar, the Yian Garuga lands beside Enny and the latter placed her hands on each side of her mouth, "WELL! WHAT DO YOU THINK?"
"I think we understand why you call it that!" Snotlout yelled since the ringing has yet to pass,
"What?!" Ruffnut yelled,
"We can't hear you!" Tuffnut added,
Before long, the ringing had come to pass and they tend to their dragons as they were affected by Yian Garuga's roar. In time, the ringing no longer affects the Dragons and some begrudgingly growled at Enny's Yian Garuga.
"Whenever a Yian Garuga lets out its ear-deafening roar, it means it's on the hunt," Enny explained, "Monsters are often disoriented when they hear its roar, and that gives it the opportunity to go in for the kill,"
"Well, that's one way to demonstrate an ability," Hiccup said, "Though, you could have warned us about it?"
"I did, I chose not to since I'm aware that you and your dragons wouldn't burst your eardrums upon hearing a Yian Garuga's roar at close range," Enny remarked, "Now, do you have any other questions, in mind?"
"I want to ask how you trained it?" Fishleg said, "If this monster is as aggressive as you said, how is it that it's neutral around you?"
"That's easy for someone like it," Enny said, then turns to Shierker, "Wouldn't you agree?"
Shierker just squawked and Enny nodded, "Thought so,"
"You understand your dragon?" Astrid presumed,
"More than understanding, I can communicate with them similar to how people communicate with each other. In simple terms, I can talk to any creature I wish," Enny revealed, "I could even talk to your dragons if I wanted to,"
Toothless grunts in surprise, and Enny's response follows suit, "Exactly!"
This surprised everyone, even Hiccup as he looked at his dragon. There was more to Enny than what they knew, and most are indecisive about whether this is considered a good thing or a bad thing.
"Alright, any other questions?" Enny questioned,
"It's diet, what else do they eat?" Fishleg asked,
"The Yian Garuga normally eats meat, but it truth; the Black Wolf Bird is an omnivore since they almost share the same diet as birds such as berries, nuts, and fruit. The food is vast in this world compared to yours," Enny explained,
"Fascinating," Fishlegs remarked, "Oh, how about eels? Are they afraid of eels?"
"No, they aren't afraid of eels," Enny revealed, "In fact, the nature of dragons isn't shared with the monsters of this world,"
"Speaking of monsters, you've mentioned Top Predators. What other predators lurk in the corners of this world?" Stoick inquired,
"That is a topic will cover in the future, it is better to see them yourselves than listen to a lengthy lecture," Enny said, then ridden Shierker's back, "Unless you all prefer it that way?"
Most of the people, particularly Snotlout, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, and a few others wanted a direct confrontation than a boring lecture.
"We are going next?" Astrid inquired,
"Our next monster," Enny answered, "Or rather, Monsters to be exact,"
"And what monster would that be?" Hiccup inquired,
"The Queen of the Land and the King of the Skies," Enny revealed, "The Rathian and Rathalos!"
Without hesitation, Enny departs from the area and the Vikings mounted their dragons as they followed after her. With so much to see in this world, they couldn't help but venture in this foreign land and see what's in store.
That is it for today, Guys! I hope you enjoyed the update and I appreciate the reviews I've received from the previous chapters.
I promise to do more for this story, and I will answer any questions you might have in mind.
