Luz was casually walking around Gravesfield. It was a weekend and she had just woken up. She was still getting used to the fact that she had returned home alongside his friends and that the Boiling Isles was in serious danger which they could do nothing about. Luz especially was heartbroken by this. Despite Camila saying they would find a way back eventually, Luz still promised her to stay forever.
"Luz!"
She turned around to find Amity behind her looking pretty mad.
"Amity? How did you know where I was?" Luz asked.
"Luz, how could you let me be stuck here?!"
"What?!"
"I am stuck here away from home, possibly forever, because of you!"
"Amity it was an accident! I'm sorry!"
"My family could be dead and I wasn't there for them. How can I forgive you!?"
And suddenly, Amity started running away.
"Amity, wait! Let me explain!" Luz chased after her with tears starting to come out.
She was hurt by what Amity had said but she had a feeling she might be right. However, Luz lost her and didn't know where she was. As she was frantically looking around, she noticed movement coming from a bush in the forest. Desperate, Luz dashed over there in the hopes of finding Amity and apologising. But when she looked inside the bush, Belos jumped out and transformed his hand into a gooey blade and used it to slash at Luz. Luz couldn't react in time and ended up getting a massive scar on her cheek.
"Belos!" she screamed while holding her cheek.
"Did you really think that was your little girlfriend? You are so gullible" Belos revealed he was Amity in disguise before striking at Luz again.
Suddenly, Luz woke up in her bed at 1:00 am. It was a nightmare all along. Luz had tears already coming out, which didn't go unnoticed by Amity, who got woken up by Luz's nightmare.
"Luz, are you okay?" Amity asked.
"Amity! Are you mad at me for getting you guys stranded?!" Luz desperately asked back.
"What? No. It was an accident"
"Thank goodness"
Luz would go on to tell Amity what happened in the nightmare. From Amity arguing with her to Belos appearing and giving her a painful scar. Getting more and more emotional in the process.
"Luz… I'm so sorry you had that nightmare. Don't worry. It wasn't your fault" Amity reassured Luz before wrapping her in a long embrace, which Luz returned while quietly sobbing in her shoulder to prevent waking up anyone else. They hugged for a few minutes, but it felt like the rest of the night.
This was kinda hard to write. Then again, angst would always be difficult to write, nevertheless.
