Chapter 33

Vesperia

William got out of bed and walked over to his bathroom.

"Ugh, that sleep was terrible", he groaned. "That the last time I agree to let Adrian convince the chefs to make spicy crispy chicken tacos". There was a knock at his door.

"Come in" he groaned. Valerie then opened the door.

"Oh, hi Valerie" groaned William.

"You okay?" Asked Valerie.

"I was on the toilet most of the night", answered William. "Those tacos tore up my stomach like a paper shredder".

"There's coffee if you want it" said Valerie.

"Thank you" said William.

"Also, there's someone that your dad would like you to meet" said Valerie. William was confused.

"Huh, who?" He asked.

"Someone you might be familiar with", said Valerie. "He also requested Adrian". After finished getting ready, William and Adrian made way to the lobby with Ronald.

"Huh?", thought William. "Who could it-". When William saw who it was, his eyes widened.

"No" he said. There was a girl about his age with caucasian skin, blue eyes, blonde hair with a streak of pink. She wore a white shirt with a pink flower on the front under a leather jacket, yellow pants and multi-patterned sneakers.

"I take it that remember your friend from New York?", asked Ronald. "This is Zoe Lee. He dad recently opened up a law firm here in Paris. And well, he asked us if, Zoe could live here".

"Hi William" greeted Zoe.

"Hi Zoe" said William.

"Could you show Zoe to her room?" Asked Ronald.

"Sure" answered William. He then grabbed Zoe's luggage and walked away. Zoe soon followed him. Eventually, they arrived at her room.

"Well, here's your room" said William handing Zoe a key.

"Thanks Billy" said Zoe.

"You know I don't like being called that" sighed William.

"That's news to me" said Zoe. William then leaned up against the wall.

"Zoe, things have changed", said William. "But, how are things with Audrey?".

"Ugh, a nightmare", groaned Zoe. "She has to hide me from EVERY news outlet. Because it would 'ruin her image if the world found out she had an affair'".

"In her case, it would be an improvement" said William. Zoe laughed at this.

"You say things have changed", said Zoe. "But I don't think they have".

"Anyways, we better get ready", said William. "We got school to go to".

Later.

William, Adrian and Zoe arrived at the school and exited the limo.

"Welcome to hell" said William as he opened the door.

"Not what I was expecting hell to look like" said Zoe. After they got out, the limo drove off. As they walked up the stairs, William heard someone call out his name. He turned to see Marinette running up to him.

"Hi Marinette", said William. "Zoe, this is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, her parents are excellent bakers. Marinette, this is Zoe Lee, a friend of mine from New York".

"Nice to meet you" said Marinette.

"Like wise" said Zoe.

"Anyway, you in Bustier's class?" Asked William.

"No, I'm not" answered Zoe.

"Lucky you", said William. "You don't have to deal with a shit show". William then walked off.

"Huh", said Zoe. "Wonder what he meant by-".

"Long story" said Marinette.

Lunch.

William was sitting on a bench when a shadow loomed over him. He looked up to see Chloe.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Asked William.

"Why did I just hear that Adrian's living with you?" Asked Chloe.

"None of your fucking business" answered William.

"As Adrikin's childhood friend AND future wife", said Chloe pompously. "It IS my business".

"His childhood must've been terrible if you were the only he had", said William. "And I don't think he sees you in that kind of way either".

"*gasp* What do you know?" Asked Chloe.

"A lot more than you", answered William. "I even know that you have a sister". That caught Chloe's attention.

"Excuse me?" Asked Chloe.

"You heard me", said William as he got up. "And guess what, one of you is the affair child". Chloe then grabbed William by his vest.

"Who?" Demanded Chloe. William smirked at this.

"Can't tell won't tell", answered William. "After all, you wouldn't believe me if I told you". He then kneed Chloe in the groin, which made her let go of William. He then walked away.

Meanwhile, Zoe was looking over the homework she had when she heard the sound of shouting. She looked and saw Marinette arguing with her class. Zoe then remembered what William told her. 'Her classmates are entitled fucking idiots. But, go easy on Sabrina, Nathaniel and, maybe Max? I'm not sure he grew brain cells back yet'. She sighed and stomped over.

"HEY!", she shouted. "What the fuck is going on here?".

"We just want a cake for Lila, who's still upset about, uh, recent events", said Alya, purposefully taking a dig at Marinette. "And I was think that-".

"And I told you", said Marinette. "Cash or credit?".

"I shouldn't have to pay anything", said Alya. "After all, you owe me".

"Owe you?" Asked Marinette.

"You and William got me Akumatized", answered Alya. "I also almost became Wendigo chow".

"Cash or credit?" Asked Marinette. Alya was about to tackle her when Zoe punched Alya in the face, knocking her to the floor.

"Let's go Marinette", said Zoe. "Let's leave these beggars to choose, okay that sounded corny".

"It did" said Marinette. The two of them then walked away and Alya only growled.

Later that day, School was nearly finished when Zoe met up with William, Adrian and Marinette.

"So, who's class were you in?" Asked Marinette.

"Some strict teacher with purple hair" answered Zoe. Marinette's eyes widened.

"You're in Ms. Mendeleiev's class?", said Marinette. "I wish you luck in her class".

"ADRIKINS!".

"Oh no", said William. "Not that bitch again". Chloe went to hug Adrian, but William put his hands in front of her face.

"You're welcome" said William. Chloe grumbled, but her face was in William's hand. William then tossed Chloe to the ground.

"Now, let's get out of here" said William. They then walked away.

Later that day.

William, Adrian and Zoe were hanging around the resort.

"You guys got any plans for tomorrow?" Asked Adrian.

"I was thinking you and I could have a 'boy's night' one night" answered William.

"Boy's night?" Asked Adrian. William smirked at this.

"You'll see" answered William.

Later on, William was in his room, when a knock came.

"Come in" said William. The door then opened and Zoe came in.

"Oh, hi Zoe" said William.

"Your room still looks like it did back in New York" said Zoe.

"Why'd you choose here of all places?" Asked William.

"Because I missed you", answered Zoe. "I wanted to see you again".

"You know what happened, right?" Asked William.

"William, that was years ago", answered Zoe. "What happened wasn't your fault".

"You're just saying that to make me feel better" said William.

"I'm not", said Zoe. "From what I can see, nothing's happened to Marinette when she hangs out with you". She then left and closed the door.

The next morning, William's peaceful sleep was shattered by the sound of bitchy whining.

"Oh no" groaned William. He walked down to the lobby and saw that Audrey and Chloe were talking to Ronald.

"Come now, Ronald", said Audrey. "Must you be so difficult?".

"You know my answer, Audrey" answered Ronald.

"Well change it" demanded Chloe.

"What's going on?" William asked.

"Ah, William", said Audrey walking towards him. "Nice to see you, I was wondering if you'd graciously allow Adrian to live with us".

"Fuck no" said William.

"Come now", said Audrey. "Can't you-".

"Mom, let me handle this" said Chloe as she walked up to William.

"Williboo, surely there is SOME way to convince you", said Chloe in a saultry tone. "After all, don't you think Adrikins would be more comfortable-". William wasn't paying attention after this, he also knew that the outfit Chloe was now wearing left VERY little to the imagination.

"Do you EVER stop trying to suck someone's dick?" Asked William. Chloe only stared at him.

"Because Adrian says he likes it here", continued William. "Now, if you don't mind". He then grabbed Chloe by the hair and pulled her out of the hotel and was tossed onto the floor.

"Now fuck off!", shouted William. "You're making the place untidy". He then went up to Zoe's room and knocked on the door. Zoe then answered it.

"Oh, hi William" said Zoe.

"Want to get a burger?" Asked William.

"Uh, sure", said Zoe. "Know any places with spicy chicken burgers?".

Half an hour later.

William and Zoe were outside a burger joint.

"Didn't know Paris had a place like this", said Zoe. "That burger was delicious".

"I think I've had spicy stuff for today", said William. "I'm surprised you haven't asked why Adrian's living with me?".

"I thought it was a sleepover", answered Zoe. "But now, I do want to know".

"CPS took him out of his father's custody" said William.

"Really?" Asked Zoe.

"Really", answered William. "I could feel his fucking ribs on my hands. Not to mention my aunt says that he was very malnourished".

"So, is Adrian going to be living with you forever?" Asked Zoe.

"Not sure yet", answered William. "We are trying to keep this out of the media".

"Look out!". William and Zoe looked up and saw a car coming towards them.

"WHOA!" They shouted. They got out of the way before the car came crashing down.

"Where the hell did that come from?" Asked Zoe. The ground started to shake.

"And the hell is that?" Asked William. What came towards them, was a giant golden Chloe decorated with Diamonds and had antler-like horns on her head. It didn't take a genius to figure out that this was an Akuma.

"I knew you were gold digger, Chloe!", shouted William. "But THIS is taking it a bit too far!".

"The name's Sole Crusher now", said the Akuma. "And I'm here to-".

"Ya should be grateful Hawkmoth never gave ya a skirt", said William. "With how tall you are, I smell up-skirt shots for days".

"You little!" Shouted Sole Crusher. She tried to crush Zoe and William with her foot, but William picked Zoe up bridal style and ran off.

"I'm not to heavy, am I?" Asked Zoe.

"I'd answer that", answered William. "But you might take it the wrong way". William then found s phone booth and opened it. Thankfully, the windows were tinted.

"Stay here and do NOT come out" said William before he pushes Zoe inside.

"Wha? William no", said Zoe. "You ca-".

"I'm not letting history repeat itself", said William. "Now, please stay here". He then closed the door and ran off.

"HEY CHLOE!", shouted William, catching her attention. "I'M OVER HERE!".

"Not the smartest move" said Sole Crusher. She then stomped towards him, which caused William to run.

"You can run", said Sole Crusher. "But not very far". She was about to grab William when a yo-yo wrapped her arm. Both looked to see Ladybug and Chat Noir.

"We need to stop meeting like this" said William.

"Chat Noir, get William out of here" said Ladybug.

"On it" said Chat Noir. He jumped down, picked up William and jumped away. Ladybug tried to distract Sole Crusher and Chat Noir found a place to put William.

"Get away from here as fast as you can" said Chat Noir. The building they were in front of then crumbled away and Sole Crusher stared at them.

Meanwhile, Zoe got out of the phone booth and saw the fight.

"Oh no" she said. Sole Crusher then grabbed William, unaware that he had something in his hand.

"Let go of him!" Shouted Ladybug. Sole Crusher just swatted them away. They then landed next Zoe.

"Later losers" said Sole Crusher before walking away.

"You okay, Chat Noir?" Asked Ladybug getting up.

"Yeah, I'm fine" groaned Chat Noir.

"Are you two okay?" Asked Zoe.

"Yeah", groaned Chat Noir as he got up. "Thanks, uh".

"Zoe, Zoe Lee", said Zoe. "And you are?".

"I'm Ladybug".

"And I'm Chat Noir".

"So, are you, superheroes?" Asked Zoe.

"Why, yess we are" answered Chat Noir.

"Please, you have to save William" begged Zoe.

"You a friend of his?" Asked Chat Noir.

"Yeah, we met in New York", answered Zoe. "But, something happened and we, well, it's hard to explain". Ladybug was surprised by this, William never mentioned having friends before coming to Paris.

"LUCKY CHARM!" Shouted Ladybug. Her yo-yo spun in the air until, a ladybug patterned shoe came down.

"A shoe?" Wondered Ladybug.

"Hey, that's one of the shoes that William gave me for my birthday" said Zoe.

"I think it's saying that we need your help" said Chat Noir.

"M-m-m-m-m-me?", asked Zoe in shock. "I won't be able to help you". Ladybug then opened up her yo-yo and pulled out a wooden box.

"Zoe Lee", she said. "This is the Miraculous of the Bee, which grants the power of subjection. You will use it for the greater good. Once the job is done, you'll return it to me. Can I trust you with this?". Zoe took the box, she just looked at it.

"Yes", said Zoe. "Even though William doesn't think he deserves it, I still call him my friend". She opened the box and a small light flew around her.

"Huh, what?!" Shouted Zoe. The light faded to reveal a small bee-like creature.

"How may I please you?" It asked in a high-pitch voice.

"Um, who are you?" Asked Zoe.

"My name is Pollen", the creature answered. "And I'm you're Kwami".

"Chat Noir and I will distract Sole Crusher and you rescue William", explained Ladybug. "All you need to do is put your miraculous on and say 'Pollen, Buzz On'". Zoe then put the miraculous, a bee shaped comb, in her hair.

"I'm coming to save you, William", said Zoe. "POLLEN! BUZZ ON!". Her comb then got coloured like a bee. After her transformation, she was now wearing a yellow domino mask with black lining, her hair tied into a ponytail with a black streak and had black bangs over her face. She wore a skin-tight suit that was black up top with yellow stripes, yellow forearms, black fingers, a yellow bottom with black stripes and black boots with yellow lining. Around her waist, was a spinning top.

Meanwhile, William was struggling to get out of Sole Crusher's hand.

"You're really doing this because Adrian wouldn't live with ya?" Asked William. Sole Crusher brought him up to her face.

"Why aren't you scared?", Sole Crusher demanded. "You need to be scared".

"Of you, never" said William.

"HEY!". Sole Crusher and William looked to see Chat Noir and Ladybug running towards them.

"You again?" Said Sole Crusher. She tried to crush them, but they kept dodging.

"Well, how about THREE on one?" said William. William then pulled out a saw. Sole Crusher then saw this.

"A Saw?", asked Sole Crusher mockingly. "What are y-". William then started cutting into Sole Crusher's skin, making her scream in pain. This caused her to release William, making him land on the floor.

"You little shit!", shouted Sole Crusher reaching for him. "I'm gonna-".

"HEY BITCH!". William and Sole Crusher looked to see Zoe jump towards them.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY FRIEND!", she shouted. "VENOM!". She held her spinning top and it started to pulse, she then jabbed it into Sole Crusher's eye. A piece of rubble hit William in the head, knocking him out.

When he came to, he saw Chat Noir, Ladybug and Zoe waving to cheering people.

"Ladybug", a civilian said. "Who's the new hero?". William walked up and held Zoe's hand in the air.

"This is Vesperia", said William. "And she stopped Sole Crusher with the help of Ladybug and Chat Noir. And I sure hope, she does a better job, then Queen Bee EVER did". The crowd cheered and started chanting 'Vesperia'.

"WHAT?!". Every looked at Chloe who stomped towards them.

"How DARE you", said Chloe. "I'm the one and only Queen Bee, that Miraculous belongs to me and-".

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! SHUT UP!" Shouted Vesperia before punching Chloe square in the face. She wobbled for a bit before collapsing to the floor.

"Consider yourself dethroned", said Vesperia. "Oh, and your costume made you look, like, a". She then realised that the crowd was watching her. They then cheered for her. Someone even shouted 'Fuck that rich bitch!'.

Later, William was in his room, when a knock came at the door.

"Come in" he said. Zoe then opened the door and entered.

"Hi Zoe" said William.

"Hi William" said Zoe.

"Why weren't you in the phone booth?" Asked William.

"Ladybug and Chat Noir found me" answered Zoe. William just sighed.

"William", said Zoe trying to comfort him. "You need to let it go".

"You shouldn't have come here Zoe", said William. "Last time you were near me, it cost you your leg".

"Oh, I get around", said Zoe before knocking on her left leg. "Knock on wood". She then placed a hand on William's shoulder.

"We're both at fault", said Zoe. "So stop pinning the blame on yourself". William looked at her.

"First you, then Sabrina and now Marinette", said William. "How do I keep getting girls in my friends circle more than boys?".

"Maybe it's just you" said Zoe. She then turned around and walked out, closing the door behind her.

'How am I gonna tell her?' William wondered.
