"General Landry, I'd like to request some outside assistance before we begin searching for the Sangraal." Daniel Jackson, asked.

"Oh? Who would that be Dr. Jackson?"

"Willow Rosenberg, sir. She's a member of the Research Team that works for the Sunnydale Protectors Pack. She's extremely intelligent, on the same level as myself and Sam. She just finished her Master's in Mythology and Folklore. While she specializes in the study of demons in myths, because of the dimensional invaders, she still knows a great many things about many different topics. I'm certain she could help us speed up our search. She's has clearance, sir."

"Very well, Dr. Jackson, go ahead and invite her along."

"Thank you, sir. I'll call her now."

"So, Willow, why have you called this meeting? New demon in town?" Xander asked.

"No, this is unrelated to demons. At least I hope so. Daniel called, he wants my help with a research project. It would be open ended and I'd have to go off world, possibly to several worlds."

"What kind of research project?"

"Looking for the Sangraal."

"Okay, I'll bite." Tor said. "What's the Sangraal?"

"It's also known as the Cup of Christ, but it's best known as the Holy Grail."

"The Holy Grail is real?" Giles was definitely spluttering. "The Watchers Council has never found any proof that the Grail is real!"

"Well, that's because they've been looking in the wrong place and for the wrong thing. Apparently, the true Grail is a weapon, created to destroy Ascended beings."

"Why would anyone want to destroy an Ascended being? As far as we know, the Ascended don't even bother with us, it's against their rules." Heidi said.

"Well apparently they have cousins in their original home galaxy who also Ascended and are pretending to be gods and forcing people to worship them. They feed off of the energy of their followers."

"Okay, so now we're dealing energy vampires? Weren't the ones we already have to deal with bad enough? And how, exactly is this our problem? Because last I heard we can only go to the Pegasus Galaxy and they've got space vampires, not energy vampires." Xander said.

"Well there's a lot of trouble going on in our galaxy right now. Daniel and Vala used an Ancient communication device, they hoped to find actual Ancients. Instead, they found another galaxy full of humans and accidentally alerted these other Ascended, who call themselves the Ori and their religion Origin. They tried to create a Supergate to come to our galaxy. Vala sacrificed herself to stop it. At least it looked like she did. Instead, she ended up in their galaxy. They forced her to bear a child. It grew to adulthood in four days. It's leading a crusade to our galaxy. The Sangraal may stop them."

A dead silence met Willow's statement and then Cordelia said. "They forced her to bear a child? Gods, she must be hurting. A child should be a gift, not a nightmare. These Ascended sound like demons in their own right."

"I'd have to agree with that statement. While the gods we're familiar with do have a connection to us, they don't feed from us and certainty don't force us. I urge you to take this position, Willow. If these people can be helped, we must do all we can." Giles told her.

"It's up to you, Willow." Xander said. "You have our support."

"You should go, Willow." Tara said. "This is important. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here when you get back."

Willow left for Colorado the next morning, beginning a new adventure, this time without her family.

When General Landry called a few weeks later to tell them they'd lost contact with SG 1, it was a sober and prayfull group that began a vigil, waiting for their sister to come home.
