A/N: Thank you for your patience so far! I hope you like the way the story is heading so far... I hope I will surprise you, but maybe not with the village's need to piss people off. Lol. Oh, I'm changing the timeline a bit... Sasuke never leaves the village and neither does Naruto.
Naruto led the three to a tall building with peeling paint, sending small glares towards the black haired kid every now and then. What was the kid's problem with orange? He looked so young, too. Both short, which was saying something since Naruto was shorter than all of his friends, and skinny!
"Why are you looking at me like that?" the foreigner asked.
Naruto shook his head. "Just wondering why you hate the color orange, how old you are, and why you're so short and skinny." The guy's expression closed off, and Naruto worried that he had overstepped somehow. "I'm sorry," he said.
"Nah, it's okay. My friend had his entire room in orange. He betrayed me." His green eyes focused on a faraway distance. "My past is the reason for my appearance and why I'm so short for my age. I'm thirteen... fourteen in July." He looked back at Naruto with eyes that put Sakura's to shame. "I'm Harry, by the way."
"Naruto," he said, staring at the other boy in shock. They were about the same age, but Hari was a good four inches shorter. "I'll be fourteen in October."
"Cool," Harry said, turning to look around them some more.
A few moments later, they reached a three-story building with peeling paint on the outside. "Well, here we are," Naruto said. "I'm sorry about the look of the place, but I don't have much time to fix it up… with all of the missions I'm on."
"That's fine," Sirius said. "My childhood home is probably worse by now."
"Siri," hissed the other man. He turned to the blond. "It's perfectly fine, Naruto-kun," he said.
Naruto blushed a little at the kindness from a stranger. "Nng. Come on, I'll show you the inside and you can choose from the three floors to reside on." He hurried to let them into the building.
"How many rooms are there?" Harry asked, curious.
Naruto scratched the back of his head. "I actually don't know. This place used to be an apartment complex, and I have a one-bedroom place on the third floor." The green-eyed boy blinked, making Naruto a little uncomfortable as they walked around the first floor. "What?"
"I think we all better take the third floor," Harry stated. "Then, when we get the outside and inside all fixed up, you can rent out the other rooms to bring money in."
"What?!" Naruto cried out. "You would do something like that for someone you don't know? Why? And you haven't even seen how people in the village treat me!"
"My ex-friend, Hermione, used to say that I have a saving people thing." Harry scratched the back of his neck. "So, of course I'd help you out. You're letting us stay in your house, so why not? And how do the villagers treat you?"
Remus and Sirius looked at each other briefly. "Pup, I don't think you should ask that question," Sirius said.
Naruto scuffed his shoe on the floor. He looked into Harry's eyes and said, "They don't treat me as badly as they used to, but most of them still don't trust me." He left it at that.
A/N: I'm going to leave this kinda short, but I hope you liked an insight into Naruto! Oh, I know that some of you were thinking that Sirius would get with Tsunade, so I'm sorry if I disappointed you. And what do you think about Harry carrying his own children?
