Chapter 9: The Masquerade - Rose

Third-Person Perspective

At the Lockwood Party:

Lucy arrives. She has the moonstone in her hand.

"Katherine, the spell on this room has been broken, you're free to leave." Lucy tells Kathrine.

"Thank God." Kathrine says, relieved.

"When I hand this over my debt to you is over." Lucy tells Kathrine

"Done." Kathrine says.

"I owe you nothing." Lucy says.

" I said done. Give it." Kathrine tells Lucy.

"I wouldn't do that." Damon says.

Lucy gives Kathrine the moonstone. When Katherine touches it, she can't breathe.

"You should have told me another witch was involved. She's a Bennett witch, Katherine, but I'm sure you knew that. " Lucy tells Kathrine.

"Wait, Elena!" Stefan yell's to Elena as she runs out of the room.

"Elena's fine." Lucy tells them.

Katherine falls on the floor.

"The spell is broken. She'll heal quickly, Bonnie's with her. I lifted the spell on your other friend as well" Lucy tells them.

Katherine is suffocating.

"What friend?" Damon asks her,

"Anastasia. Kathrine told me to put her in a deep sleep, she was interfering with Katherine's plans, but the spell is lifted and she should be waking up soon." Lucy tells Damon. "I apologize for my involvement." Lucy says, and leaves . Katherine is now unconscious.

Damon looks shocked, at what Lucy just told him.

Anastasia's Pov:

I open my eyes to see bright light, I guess this is how it is when you just got out of a coma. I look around the room, there is no one there. I felt kind of disappointed. 'How long have I been in a coma?' I thought to myself, what if the originals are already here, I need to find out.

I see a nurse walking outside my room.

"Excuse me" I say to her.

She stops and looks through the door, she looks shocked to see me awake.

"You're awake" She says, walking into the room.

"I'll just call for the doctor to check up on you, and then inform your family that you're awake" She tells me walking out of the room again.

After 10 minutes the doctor came and checked on me, everything was fine. Caroline and Liz came 10 minutes after the doctor came, he had just walked out of the room when Caroline came running in.

"Ana, oh god I have been worried sick" She tells me while hugging me.

"It's okay Care, I'm fine" I assured her.

"You're not fine, you just been in a coma" Liz says, walking over to the bed.

"Hi, mom," I say to her. She hugs me as well.

"So, what happened while I was gone, you look dressed up Care" I say to Caroline.

"Yeah, I have been to a masquerade at the Lockwood's tonight." She tells me.

Okay, at least I know where I am in the plot, right before Elena gets kidnapped, or maybe she has already been kidnapped.

"I wish I would have been there," I tell them.

After a few minutes of conversation Caroline and Liz left. And I fell asleep not even two seconds after they left the room.

The next morning I woke up and was ready to go home. Caroline drove me home, and I heard her saying something about Elena being Kidnapped, which meant that Elijah was going to come to town soon.

Caroline left to meet up with Bonnie, she asked if I wanted to come but I just felt like being alone.

I decided that the falls would be a nice place for relaxation and alone time.

So that where I am now, alone at the falls, it's quite nice being alone, not having to worry about anything.

I had a book with me and stayed there for what felt like days. When the sun was beginning to go down I packed up, but just when I was about to lift the book I heard the sound of wind behind me.

"I'm sorry I couldn't have come earlier" I hear his voice behind me. I relaxed and a smile crept onto my face.

"It's okay, you're here now" I said and turned around. There he was standing with his hands in his pockets. He was wearing a suite, just like always.

"I like your hair," I said, looking at it.

"Yours is shorter than last time." He said looking at mine.

"Does it suit me?" I said to him.

"Nothing could make you less beautiful" He said walking closer to me.

"I don't understand everything, but I have seen some of it." I said to him.

"Everything will come back to you Anastasia, when the time is right." Elijah tells me. He was only one feet away from me now.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this," I told him. "Me dying and then showing up a few hundred years later."

"Who told you that?"

"Kathrine, she has informed me a little."

"Oh, Katerina. Yes she should me around here somewhere."

"In the caves, yes."

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine, better than fine actually." I said a little nervous, I could feel Elijah's breath on my lips.

Elijah closed the gap and our lips wet, at first it was a light kiss, but it grew deeper and more passionate the longer it went on. One of Elijah's hands was on my lower back, and the other was at the back of my head, bringer making the kiss deeper than it already was, if that was even possible. Both of my hands were in Elijah's hair. It felt weird kissing someone that you have just met, but at the same time it also felt like it was meant to be, like we were meant to be.

After some time Elijah pulled away from the kiss. He rested his forehead against mine. "I have missed you so much" He says in a low voice.

A smile crept onto my face. "I've missed you too" I tell him.

"I have some things I need to do, but I will return to you, I give you my word." He tells me and pulls away. "I don't want you to get pulled into this thing, that is happening between your friend and me."

"I can't promise you that Elijah, they are my friends, I have to help them no matter what" I tell him.

"Just don't get yourself killed, I can't wait 200 years again so soon." He tells me and starts walking away.

"Elijah" I say to him, he stops and turns around. "I have to tell you something" I look around to see if anyone is listening. "I know stuff that I'm not supposed to know about the past and the future, I can't explain it any further." I tell to him. He looks intrigued.

"Everything will make sense when the time comes" He tells me and vamps away.

I feel confused this is not how I imagent meeting Elijah for the first time.

My phone starts ringing, I take a look at it to see Damon calling me.

"Hey Damon," I said into the phone.

"Ana, you need to stay indoors, Elena was kidnapped today, and I don't want you to be the next." Damon tells me on the phone.

"I'm fine Damon, I'm on my way home now" I say to him.

You're on your way home? Where have you been?" Damon says questionable.

"Just out for a walk." I said to him, a little white lie.

Okay, I gotta go, I'll stop by your house later okay." Damon tells me and hangs up.

After that I went home, made some dinner, and went up to my room for bedtime.

I was looking at myself in the mirror when I saw the reflection of Damon behind me.

"Damon!, you can't creep up on me like that." I tell him, turning around.

"I'm sorry I just had to see if you were okay." He tells me walking closer.

"I'm fine." I tell him. "How's Elena?" I ask.

"She's fine, a little shaken up, but fine." He tells me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask him.

"I have to tell you something, I love you." He tells me, walking closer. "And it's because I love you that you can't remember this." He says, taking off my vervain bracelet.

And then was gone, of course he didn't know I was drinking vervain as well, so that compulsion was a complete failure. God, I totally screwed up, he was supposed to fall in love with Elena, not me.

Chapter 9. Anastasia met Elijah, yeah that just happened. Didn't really know how it was going to happen so this is just what I ended up with, hope you liked it. Feel free to leave a review/comment.
