Learning that Aizen has played him from the very start, almost everyone's memories of Ichigo has been erased. Despite that, Ichigo isn't going to give up. He knows he's got to try and do something to stop Aizen from getting what he desires. In attempt to use Nel's charm power to aid him in this cause, he tried to copy it only for Orihime to see it. When she did, she was in tears and doesn't know why.
"Ichigo, what did you do to Orihime?!" Tatsuki said as she sounded mad.
"Wait! It's not what you think!" Ichigo said.
"Poor Orihime... Come on. Let's get you away from this creep." Chizuru said as her friends tried to help and be supportive of her.
"Orihime, I can explain what you saw." Ichigo said. "You're crying and you don't know why, but I do. I know what I'm going to tell you sounds crazy, but you need to trust me with it." 'If she's crying, maybe there is a way I can reach her. The memories might be gone, but the feelings still seem to be there. She's crying for some reason, so maybe a part of her still remembers me.' He thought.
"Okay. I'm listening." Orihime said.
"Not here. We need to talk in private." Ichigo said.
"You've lost it! You just stay away from Orihime!" Tatsuki said as she was being protective of Ichigo. As long as she's around, Ichigo worries he's not even gonna get close to her.
"It's okay, Tatsuki." Orihime said as she stepped forward. "I don't know why, but I feel like I can trust you." Ichigo was right. A part of Orihime still remembers him and he might be able to use that. Once he knew that, he grabbed her by the arm and went somewhere they could talk more privately.
"Orihime, wait! Are you sure about this?!" Tatsuki said.
"It will be okay, Tatsuki!" Orihime assured with her friends hoping it will be.
...
Ichigo and Orihime
Once Ichigo managed to convince Orihime to listen to him, he found a safe and private spot for them to talk. He told her everything he knew and can only hope she believes him.
"You're saying I'm a witch with the ability to switch bodies with whoever I kiss?" Orihime said.
"Yeah, and Nel is one too. What you saw was me trying to copy her powers." Ichigo said. "I was hoping to use her powers to try and get the rest of the Supernatural Club to listen to me since we're all friends." That's what he's explaining to Orihime, but it looks like she's having a hard time believing. "I know it might be hard to believe, but you have to. I don't know what he wants, but Principal Aizen is after something that involves the witches. He'll be coming for you eventually. He had your memories erased so it be easier to get to you."
"But how am I a witch? I don't have a pointy hat, flying broom, or a black cat." Orihime said.
"It's not a stereotypical witch!" Ichigo said seeing Orihime still has her bubbly personality. "Listen, I can prove I'm telling the truth." He said as he placed his hands on her shoulders. "All you have to do is kiss me. I swear this isn't some cheap trick or anything. You have to trust me." He was hoping she would, but she looked a little hesitant. 'It's no good. She doesn't believe me. How can I convince her?' He wondered.
"I trust you." Orihime said with Ichigo surprised to say that. "I don't know why, but I feel like I can trust you more than anyone." That meant a lot to Ichigo and that meant he can prove it. He went right for it and kissed her with it feeling like Orihime got her first kiss once again. When they pulled away from each other, they saw they were in each other's bodies once again.
"See, Orihime?" Ichigo said as Orihime took a look at herself in Ichigo's body. "This proves I'm telling the truth." He said, but Orihime still looked rather stunned. "I know it might be freaky, but we still have to..." He didn't finish that sentence as Orihime surprised him by hugging him.
"Ichigo... I remember everything now." Orihime said.
"What?!" Ichigo said.
"I remember! It's all starting to come back to me!" Orihime said. "The kiss and using our powers must have been what broke Ruri's spell over me! I remember us falling down the stairs, the camping trip, and the promise to go to college together." All the memories of their biggest moments were back and Ichigo was glad to hear she remembers them now.
"Although, I'm sorry." Ichigo said. "You saw me kiss Nel, and you wanted my memory of my first kiss to remain be you."
"Yeah, but you didn't get your memories erased. I was the one who lost them." Orihime said as she was happy. "You were my first kiss as well, and you brought that memory...and the moment back." Ichigo was just glad she was back to herself. Their memories were still alive, and now he doesn't have to handle this alone. "By the way, wouldn't it have been easier for you to kiss one of us back at the Supernatural Club and switched bodies then? We would have listened to you and you didn't need to use the charm power."
"Argh! Stupid!" Ichigo complained as he smacked Orihime's own head.
...
The Next Day
Since Orihime's memories came back, Ichigo now has some help to stop Aizen. Still, only the two of them might not be enough. They need a plan if they're going to stop Aizen before he can get whatever it is he desires.
"So, what's the plan? What do we do about Aizen?" Orihime asked as the two of them were chatting on the roof.
"I'm not sure. I'm sort of making this up as I go." Ichigo said.
"We've got to do something." Orihime said. "I went by the club earlier to try and explain the others what was going on, but they all thought I was just being my adorable and bubbly self. They all thought it was just my imagination. I even tried to switch bodies with them, but I couldn't get one in. They were too shy. I almost did with Renji, but Rukia pushed me away."
"If they won't let you kiss them, I doubt I'll have any luck." Ichigo said. "On top of that, Aizen is bound to learn what we're up to. With Kyoka as his little spy, he'll learn you have your memories back eventually."
"We'll just have to try after school. In the meantime, it looks like it's just you and me." Orihime said with her smiling and Ichigo blushed a little from seeing that. Just them sounds nice, but they're on a mission. That was when their little moment was ruined as Nel came barging through the door and kissed Ichigo.
"Finally! Ichigo, what's the big idea using my own charm power on me?" Nel said. "I couldn't focus on anything today but you. I stopped by the Supernatural Club, but Uryu said you weren't a member. That was rather strange."
"Hold on! Nel, you remember me now?!" Ichigo said.
"That's right! You kissed Nel before me, and it broke the spell on her like it did with me!" Orihime realized.
"You're right! I was so wrapped up with you that I forgot!" Ichigo said.
"What are you two talking about? What's going on?" Nel questioned. That's when they took the opportunity to tell Nel everything that was going on. "She has the ability to erase everyone's memories? Even witches? That explains a few things. I thought it was strange how I had trouble remember Ichigo earlier, or why Grimmjow and the others don't really remember you either."
"Aizen knew all along what Ruri could do." Ichigo said. "He was spared, but the others weren't. It was some sort of attempt to keep us from getting in his way."
"I don't get it. Why is he doing all of this?" Nel said.
"That's something we don't know." Ichigo said. "At least now we know that a kiss will help break Ruri's spell."
"I don't think that works, Ichigo." Nel said. "When I was looking for you, I used my charm power on Renji because I thought he was holding out on me. My charm power worked on him, but he still had no idea who you were."
"He didn't?" Orihime questioned. "I wonder if that means only Ichigo can do it or if this only works on the witches."
"If we can use it on the witches, good. We can get their memories back, we can protect them from Aizen, but we have to do it fast." Ichigo said. It seemed like they were finally catching a break, but that was when things got difficult.
"Attention students!"
"That's Kyoka's voice!" Ichigo said as the three of them hurried to the edge and saw she was making some sort of announcement.
"It has come to our attention that some intimate yet inappropriate behavior has been happening on school grounds." Kyoka said. "Now that we are aware of this, the principal has issued that any student caught in such actions will lead to suspension." That announcement made it clear what that meant, and Kyoka spotted Ichigo and the girls on the roof throwing them a smirk.
"Damn! That bastard!" Ichigo said. "He's clearly doing this just to try and stop us."
"And it won't. We have to restore the memories of the other witches. We'll just have to be careful and move fast." Nel said.
"You're right." Ichigo said. "Let's start with Ashi and Kori. Those two are bound to be together. We can get both of them at once if we do this." That sounded good to the girls. They have to do this.
...
Ashi and Kori
It would seem that even though their memories of Ichigo were erased, the two of them are trying to act close. Still, they walked with some space between the two them like there's still some sort of void between them.
"Do you want to come over to my place and watch a movie?" Ashi questioned.
"Uh... I don't know." Kori said. The two of them just kept walking, but things were awkward between them. They just kept on walking until Ichigo came by and bumped into Ashi and made it look like an accident.
"Sorry about that." Ichigo said.
"Oh, that's fine. I didn't see you." Ashi said. "Wait a minute. I think your name is...Ichigo isn't it? I think I've seen you around."
"Yeah, and here's something to remember me." Ichigo said as he just went straight for it and kissed Ashi with her and Kori surprised.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Kori said, but that was when Nel and Orihime came out and grabbed her so she doesn't run. Ichigo moved quickly and kissed her while he still could. It took a second, but Ashi and Kori's memories began to come back. When they did, everything felt like they did before.
"Ichigo!" Kori and Ashi cheered as they both hugged him.
"Hey! I'm glad to see both of you, but easy!" Ichigo said as he tried to get them off. "If people see this, we're in real trouble." He said as he got them to let go.
"Sorry, but it's great to see you. I can't believe we forgot you." Ashi said.
"I know. It was weird, but it makes sense now." Kori said. "We were still friends, but it felt like there was some void between us. Since it was you who brought us back together, and we forgot you, our friendship didn't exactly feel whole."
"Wow. I kind of thought that since they forgot Ichigo, they wouldn't be friends at all." Nel said.
"Memories might be erased, but the feelings can't be." Ichigo said. Since the two of them felt so good to be friends again, they were still there. They just couldn't remember how they became friends again and that meant things were still unstable with them.
"Why did we forget you in the first place?" Ashi said.
"I'll explain later, but we need to find Rachel now. Do either of you know where she is?" Ichigo said.
"Rachel? I think I saw her earlier, but she looked...miserable." Kori said. Rachel looked miserable? What could that be about?
...
Rachel
Rachel was actually resting in the nurse's office, but Kori was right. She looked miserable. She looked tired and devoid of any joy or even life. Once Ichigo found out where she was, he went right over when she was alone. He was a bit puzzled to see her like this.
"Are you okay?" Ichigo asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine." Rachel said, but she sounded so monotone.
"You're clearly not, otherwise you wouldn't even be here." Ichigo said. "What's wrong?"
"I... I don't know. I just feel so unhappy for some reason." Rachel said. "I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going and just tripped. When I wouldn't get up or move, I was brought here. I don't know why, but I just feel...miserable." While those two were talking, the girls waited outside the nurse's office and kept guard for him.
"Come on, Ichigo. Just plant one on her and be done with it." Ashi said.
"Hey! I'm back!" Kori said as she hurried over. "I talked to Rachel's friends. They say they're not sure why she seems so miserable. They just know that she is, saying that she feels like someone important to her is gone."
"Someone important?" Orihime questioned. "I bet that would be Ichigo. It's like Ichigo said earlier; the memories are gone, but not the feelings." She said as she knew what went on with Rachel.
"What's the problem? Maybe I can help." Ichigo said.
"I don't know why, but it feels like someone important to me is gone." Rachel said. "I just feel so lost and lonely, and that person was someone who helped me when I really needed it. The thing is I don't remember who it is or waht they look like. All I know is that I miss whoever that is and I want to see him again." Ichigo understood what she was talking about. Rachel always felt like some kind of outcast when she wanted to be a part of her group. She even used her powers to try and help her new friends. When Ichigo was the one that stepped in, she felt like she was saved from solitude and claimed she fell in love with him. Too bad he just doesn't feel the same. "Why am I even telling you this? I don't even know who you are."
"You will soon." Ichigo said as he bent down and kissed her. Once he pulled away, Rachel's memories were starting to come back. "Hopefully, you'll pull yourself together." He was about to walk out of there, but that was when he felt Rachel grab his arm.
"Ichigo!" Rachel cheered as she pulled him down and hugged him as tight as she could and was feeling great again. That didn't take as long as Ichigo thought. He never realized he left a strong impact on these girls, but at least now he got their memories. Now that the seven witches have returned to normal, Ichigo has to figure out how to return his other friends to normal and stop Aizen.
