Episode 263: Ninjask, Shedinja Rap!
A couple of hours passed since Sora battled his Barboach's old Trainer before evolving into a Whiscash. Sora decided to use Whiscash in his upcoming Gym battle, so he thought it would be a good idea to have a practice battle to sharpen Whiscash's battle prowess.
"Okay, Whishcash, are you ready?" Sora asked.
"Cash!" Whishcash replied.
"I thought you were!" Sora said, taking out Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Wingull!" His Pokéball opened and Wingull came out, ready to go. "Okay, Wingull! Use Water Gun and Whishcash, you dodge it!" Wingull fired Water Gun, so the Whiskers Pokémon dodged Wingull's attack. "Use Water Pulse!" Whishcash hurls a Water Pulse and sent it right at the Seagull Pokémon. "Okay, Wingull! Dodge it!" Wingull dodged Whiscash's move. "That was an awesome dodge, Wingull! Use Wing Attack!" Wingull flew right at Whiscash and he got pelted by Wingull's wings. "Nice!"
"Wingull!" Wingul beamed as he started to evolve. Wingull has now become a Pelipper. "Lipper!"
"You're a Pelipper now!" Sora said.
"Pelipper!" Pelipper said.
"Let's see, since you evolved, you should have learned to use Protect," Sora said.
"Pelipper," Pelipper said.
"Let's give it a shot. Whiscash, you try using Water Pulse on Pelipper," Sora said.
"Cash," Whiscash nodded. The Whiskers Pokemon hurls a Water Pulse right at Pelipper. "Okay, Pelipper! Protect!" Pelipper creates a protective barrier, making Whiscash's attack bounce right off. "That was awesome, Pelipper! Better head back, becuase it's almost time for dinner. You guys must be getting hungry."Whiscash and Pelipper beamed at the thought of eating Kairi's Pokémon food.
After calling Whischash and Pelipper back, Sora decided to bring over Nincada, so he exchanged Loudred for Nincada. Sora and Pikachu rejoined the group as they were just in time for dinnertime.
"Good timing, because I was about to come and get you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I wouldn't miss this for anything, Kairi. Not even the Heartless will keep me away," Sora said.
"I'm glad to hear it," Kairi said. She noticed Pelipper with them. "Wait a minute, isn't that Wingull?"
"Yeah, he evolved while we were training," Sora said.
"So cool," Davis said.
"This is the first time I have seen a Pelipper up close," Cody said.
"Same here," Ken said.
Sora and Kairi's other Pokémon were surprised to see Pelipper with them, so they ate the food provided to them. After having quite a meal, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, the DigiDestined, and the Pokémon were having themselves a goodnight's sleep.
On the next morning, Nincada woke up and started to forage for some berries. Just when Nincada grabbed one, an angry Dustox came out and attacked. The Dustox flapped its wings and blew Nincada away. But he wasn't blown too far when he slammed into the camp of Takuya, Koji, Kouchi, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Mime R, and Munchlax when they were sleeping soundly. The sound of the crash woke them all up, quite alarmed, not knowing what it was.
"What in the world is that thing?" JP asked.
"It's a Nincada," Koji said.
"You think it's a wild Nincada?" Tommy asked.
"I don't think so. Nincada don't normally roam this area. So I think this one belongs to someone," Kouchi said.
"I can bet that its Trainer is probably looking for Nincada, worried sick," Zoe said.
"Munchlax," Munchlax said.
"Mime, Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Well, if its Trainer is here, then we'll have to look for him or her," Takuya said.
"Cada," Nincada said.
"Don't worry, Nincada, we'll find whoever it is, and make sure your Trainer knows you're safe," Takuya said.
"Nin," Nincada said.
Back with the group, Pikachu woke up with a yawn. He sleepily looked around the other Pokemon and he noticed Nincada wasn't with them at all. Pikachu then bolted up right and he knew something was very wrong.
"PIKA!" Pikachu shouted at the top of his lungs, waking up everyone.
"Pikachu, what's the gag? You shouldn't be so loud so early in the morning!" Sora scolded.
"Pika, Pika, Pika, Pikachu, Pika!" Pikachu said, making Nincada's face.
"Nincada? What about Ninca-" Sora was cut off when he noticed Nincada missing. "HUH?!"
"What's going on, Sora 2?" Matt asked.
"It's Nincada! He's missing!" Sora said.
"Missing?" Tai asked.
"Where could he have gone?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said with concern.
"Hopefully not too far. Let's split up and cover more ground. Maybe we can get lucky and find him," Sora said.
"Right," the rest of the group agreed as Kairi went with her boyfriend as Lisia and the DigiDestined went their own way, looking for the Trainee Pokémon. They didn't see any signs of Nincada anywhere at all. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were searching for Nincada, trying to find a sign.
"Nincada, where are you?" Sora asked.
"Pika!" Pikachu called out.
"Nincada, answer if you can hear us!" Kairi called out.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"Cada!" Nincada said, approaching the couple. They saw Nincada along with some familiar faces.
"Sora, Kairi!" Takuya exclaimed.
"Takuya, Koji, JP!" Sora said.
"Zoe, Koichi, Tommy!" Kairi added.
"Long time no see," Takuya said.
"What are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"Well, just traveling around," JP said.
"So which one of you does this Nincada belong to?" Takuya asked.
"Nincada's actually my Pokémon," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded. Sora bends down.
"You made us worry about you, Nincada. You shouldn't have wondered off like that," Sora scolded. Nincada felt bad about wondering off. He didn't mean to make Sora worry about him when he did. "Sorry if my Nincada's been bothering you."
"Nincada didn't bother us at all," Zoe assured.
"But Nincada does look ready to evolve into a Ninjask," Koji said.
"Seriously?" Sora asked.
"Yeah," Koji said.
"I think I saw something like that before," Sora said. He took out his Rotom Phone to look up Ninjask's information.

Type: Bug/Flying
Ninjask moves around at such a high speed that it cannot be seen, even while its crying can be clearly heard. For that reason, this Pokémon was long believed to be invisible.
"I thought as much, but there was another one just like it," Sora said.
"I think you're talking about Shedinja," Kairi said, remembering Colonel Hansen's Shedinja.
"Okay, Shedinja," Sora said, looking up Shedinja's data.

Type: Bug/Ghost
Shedinja's hard body doesn't move; not even a twitch. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this Pokémon will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back. Shedinja only appears in the party when there is a Pokeball and a vacant spot.
"So that's how it's done," Sora said. He puts his Rotom Phone away. "Well, you guys can join up with us if you want, because we could us e the time to catch up," Sora said.
"Ketchum, did you find Nincada or what?" Tai asked, coming along. He noticed the group of six. "Looks like you found more than Nincada."
"We should rejoin the others; we can explain then," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Lisia and the rest of the DigiDestined came back to the camp.
"Anything?" Sora T asked.
"Not so much as a scratch mark," Izzy said.
"Maybe Tai, Sora 2, and Kairi had better luck than we did," Kari said.
"I hope you're right, Kari," Ken said. Sora, Kairi, Tai, Pikachu, Angel, and Nincada came back, and they're joined by Takuya, Koji, Kouchi, JP, Zoe, and Tommy.
"Hey, guys," Sora greeted.
"Looks like you were right, Kari. They did have better luck than us," Lisia said.
"And they found some other kids out here," Joe said.
"Who are they?" Yolei asked.
"Twelve of these kids are friends we bumped into shortly after we left Odaiba City. And the girl with the turquoise hair we met during our travel here in Hoenn," Sora said. "We think we should let them introduce themselves."
"I'm Takuya Kanbara."
"Koji Minamoto."
"I'm Koichi Kimura."
"I'm JP Shibayama."
"I'm Zoe Orimoto."
"My name's Tommy Himi."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Tai Kamiya, and this is my little sister, Kari Kamiya," introduced.
"Hi," Kari greeted.
"I'm Matt Ishida, and this my little brother TK Takaishi," Matt introduced.
"Good to meet you," TK said.
"I'm Izzy Izumi."
"I'm Sora Takenouchi."
"I'm Mimi Tachikawa."
"I'm Joe Kido."
"My name's Davis Motomiya."
"My name's Ken Ichijouji."
"My name's Cody Hida."
"And I'm Yolei Inoue."
"And my name's Lisia," Lisia finished.
"Wait a minute, Lisia, as in the Contest Idol?" Zoe asked, surprised.
"That's me," Lisia said.
"I thought you looked familiar!" Zoe said. She looked over at Ali. "And that Altaria is your partner, Ali!"
"Taria," Ali chirped.
"Well, Lisia has been traveling with us since the Slateport City Pokémon Contest," Sora said.
"That's a Contest Kairi won, right?" JP asked.
"Yeah, why?" Kairi asked.
"Because we were watching you perform. The way you handled your Ralts and Beautifly were awesome," JP said.
"We even saw you being scouted by her along with that other girl," Takuya said.
"You mean May. She's another friend. We actually met her when we first got here in the Hoenn region," Sora explained. He didn't want to reveal more than he should about the Heartless, the Nobodies, the Unversed, Vanitas, Zell, or about Organization XIII since they had doubts they would believe it.
"Anyway, Sora, what brings you out here?" Tommy asked.
"Well, I'm taking part of the Gym challenges here in Hoenn, and I'm also taking on the Battle Frontier, too. I already won three Gym Badges, and two Frontier Symbols," Sora said.
"Cool," Takuya said.
"How about we have some breakfast while we talk?" Kairi suggested.
"I can go for some breakfast. I'm starting to get hungry anyway," Davis said.
"You six can join us too if you want," Kairi offered.
"That'll be awesome, Kairi," Tommy said.
With that said, the six kids joined the group for some breakfast. Takuya has let out his Charmander, Aguni, along with a Camerupt, and a Magmar. Koji has let out a Manectric. Koichi has let out a Gengar. JP has let out a Pinsir, Tommy has let out a Piloswine. And Zoe has let out a Clefable and a Togetic.
As they ate, the DigiDestined explained to Takuya's group on how they know Sora and Kairi, and why they kept calling him Sora 2. Matt and TK explained about their parents being divorced when they have different last names. Koji and Koichi explained that it's the same situation with them despite being twins. As they ate, Sora looked over to Nincada and he figured since he learned he can get a Shedinja when there is room on his team and an empty Pokéball after Nincada evolved, he thought hard about which one he was going to send over to Professor Oak's lab.
Sora called back his Pokémon back inside, except for Nincada, and he took out his Pokémon Box and he thought long and hard. He decided to send Breloom to Professor Oak's lab.
"Okay, Nincada, let's work on getting you to evolve," Sora said.
"You sure you wanna do that, Sora? It might be tricky," Lisia pointed out.
"Well, Nincada can evolve into a Ninjask, and then a Shedinja can suddenly appear inside a vacant Pokéball when that happens, so I got room for it now, and I have plenty of Pokéballs to spare. And maybe training Nincada to evolve will help out," Sora said.
"Cada," Nincada said.
"So, Nincada, you ready to go?" Sora asked.
"Cada!" Nincada said.
"All right! Let's get started!" Sora said.
Meanwhile, a car drives through the mountain region, and a Pokémon Hunter makes a stop when he spotted a group of Spinda. He grinned.
"Spinda! Probably more than I can count. They have to be worth at least two thousand each!" The Pokémon Hunter said. He took out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Okay, Swalot, Weezing, go!" His Pokéballs opened to reveal a Weezing and a new Pokémon. It is a tall, purple, amorphous Pokémon. It has red, beady eyes and yellow whiskers. It has puckered lips and can fit an automobile tire in its mouth. Its hands have three fingers. It has a single row of black rhombi running across its midsection. "You guys know what to do!" Weezing and Swalot nodded and started to round up the Spinda. Many of them tried to fight back, but Weezing spewed a Smokescreen, making it too difficult for the Spot Panda Pokémon to see a thing. "Good job, Weezing! Swalot! Use your Poison Gas on them!" Swalot spewed a noxious purple haze and poisoned the Spinda. He laughed. "Well done! Let's round them all up!"
Back with the group, Nincada has been practing on evolving into a Ninjask and make a Shedinja appear. Sora got Aguni to help out.
"You ready, Aguni?" Takuya asked.
"Mander," Aguni answered.
"Okay, Nincada, go!" Sora said.
"Nincada!" Nincada said.
"Aguni! Use Fire Punch!" Takuya ordered. Aguni's fist emits fire and comes right at Nincada.
"Use Dig to dodge!" Sora ordered. Nincada dug into the earth to avoid Aguni's Fire Punch.
"Keep your eyes peeled, Aguni. Nincada could come out from anywhere," Takuya said. Aguni looked around for the Trainee Pokémon, so he emerged from underneath. "Behind you!" Aguni turned to see Nincada and land a hit with one of his claws. "Aguni! Use Dragon Breath!" Aguni spewed a Dragon Breath right at Nincada.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Nincada tried to dig, but Aguni's Dragon Breath came too fast for Nincada to dodge in time.
"That was a good hit! Use Fire Fang!" Takuya ordered. Aguni charged right at Nincada with a Fire Fang.
"Use Mud-Slap!" Sora ordered. Nincada hurls a Mud-Slap, hitting Aguni on the spot, and cutting his accuracy. "Now use Scratch!" Nincada gave the Charmander a scratch across the face.
"Not too shabby, Sora, but it's not going to be easy!" Takuya said.
"Let's wrap this up!" Sora said.
"You read my mind!" Takuya said.
"SPINDA!" A voice yelled. Everyone heard the sound and they saw a single Spinda running.
"A Spinda?" Yolei asked.
"What's it running from?" Tommy asked. He got his answer when a Swalot jumped out and fired a Sludge Bomb, hitting the running Spinda.
"What is that?" Sora asked, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Type: Poison
It can swallow a tire whole in one gulp. It secretes a horribly toxic fluid from the pores on its body.
"An evolved form of Gulpin," Sora said. A Weezing appeared and lands a couple of hits on Spinda.
"And a Weezing?!" TK exclaimed.
"Great job, you two! Bring that Spinda here!" A new voice called out. The group saw it was the Pokémon Hunter from earlier, and he has a bunch of poisoned Spinda in his cage.
"That guy's a Hunter, and he rounded up all those poor Spinda!" Kairi exclaimed.
"That won't stand!" JP said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Pinsir!" His Pokéball opened and Pinsir emerged from inside. "Pinsir! Use Slash on that cage!" Pinsir rushes over to the cage to slash it opened.
"No, you don't! Swalot! Use Sludge Bomb on that Pinsir!" The Hunter ordered. Swalot fired Sludge Bomb, hitting Pinsir before it could get to the cage.
"Pinsir!" JP gasped.
"That was uncalled for!" Izzy stated.
"I do what I have to do in order for you to keep you kids from letting my profits from getting away," the Hunter said.
"Is that what Pokémon are to you? Just means to make you rich?" Sora asked.
"These Spinda are going to make me rich, so yes! And you kids aren't going to stop me! Weezing, Swalot! Get ready!" The Hunter said as his Pokémon complied with their Trainer. "Use Sludge Bomb!" Weezing and Swalot fired Sludge Bomb, hitting the ground surrounding them. Nincada dug underground and tunneled his way towards the cage. Nincada emerged from underneath and destroyed the lock and opened the cage. The Hunter hears the Spinda getting away and he exclaimed in shock. "My Spinda!" He looked at Nincada, feeling proud of the Spinda getting out. "You little runt! You're gonna pay for that! Swalot, Weezing! Get it!" Weezing and Swalot rushed at Nincada. "Use Sludge Bomb!" Weezing and Swalot fired their attacks right at Nincada, hitting him. Nincada lands right on his back, but he gets back on his feet.
"Nincada did it. He got them out of that cage," Joe said.
"Nincada! Get out of there, now!" Sora said. Nincada tried to get away from Weezing and Swalot, but the two Poison-types weren't going to let Nincada get away that easily, so the ganged up on him. Nincada stood his ground.
"Weezing! Use Double Hit!" The Hunter ordered. Weezing rushed at Nincada and he took the hit. "Swalot! Use Body Slam!" Swalot slammed its body on Nincada, keeping him from moving.
"Nincada! Try to get out of there!" Sora called out.
"Swalot, keep that Nincada from going anywhere! I'll just have to round up those Spinda all over again, but I'll have a Nincada to sell to the highest bidder," the Hunter said.
"You what?!" Cody growled.
"No way I'm going to let you! Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt on that Swalot!" Sora ordered. Pikachu complied with Sora and fired a Thunderbolt, hitting Swalot. Luckily, Nincada's immuned to Electric-type moves since he's a Ground-type, so he got out from underneath Swalot when he moved. Nincada took his stance again when he started to evolve, much to everyone's surprise.
"Nincada's evolving!" Koji said.
"All that training has paid off," Sora said. Nincada has now become a Ninjask. He then took out a Pokéball and he threw it. "Come on out!" Sora's Pokéball opened to reveal a Shedinja. "Yes! I got a Ninjask and a Shedinja!"
"So cool!" Tommy said.
"So your Nincada evolved! Big deal! But a Ninjask and a Shedinja should be worth a whole lot of money when they're sold as a set!" The Hunter said.
"Pokemon are not to be bought or sold! You don't seem to get it! Ninjask! Use Fury Swipes on Weezing!" Sora ordered. Ninjask rushed at Weezing and swiped his claws repeatedly. The Hunter growled in frustration.
"Swalot! Use Sludge Bomb!" The Hunter ordered. Swalot fired Sludge Bomb, but Shedinja was hit, but he didn't take any damage at all. "But how?!"
"Ah, that would be Shedinja's ability, Wonder Guard. Moves that are not effective against Shedinja are repelled. This is a battle you gravely miscalculated," Izzy said.
"Why you little!" The Hunter exclaimed, getting more angry.
"Let's test out Shedinja's newfound powers, shall we?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
"Shedinja! Use Shadow Ball!" Sora ordered. Shedinja fired a Shadow Ball and it struck Swalot hard on the mark. "That was awesome! Use Feint Attack!" Shedinja faded and lands a hit with a Feint Attack.
"Forget Shedinja! Set your attention on that Ninjask! Use Sludge Bomb!" The Hunter ordered.
"Use Double Team!" Sora ordered. Ninjask has made several copies of himself, making it harder for the Poison-types to land a hit. "Use Fury Cutter!" Ninjask rushed at Swalot and lands a swipe on it. "Fury Cutter again!" Ninjask flew at Swalot, landing another Fury Cutter.
"Try to focus!" The Hunter yelled.
"Shedinja! Use Silver Wind!" Sora ordered. Shedinja unleashed a Silver Wind and struck the Poison-types. "Ninjask! Use Aerial Ace" Ninjask dashed and land a hit onto Swalot, knowking it out. "Aerial Ace again!" Ninjask dashed and lands a hit with Aerial Ace, resulting in a knockout.
"No, this can't be happening!" The Hunter roared.
"But it is!" Sora said. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu jumped and fired Thunderbolt, shocking the Pokémon Hunter and knocked him out. They called Officer Jenny had him arrested for Pokémon poaching. As for the Spinda, the group made an effort to have the Spinda cured of their poisoning and had them sent back to their homes.
"It feels good to know we did a good thing for Pokémon," Kairi said.
"It sure does. No Pokémon should go through all that and be sold to some greedy creep," Sora T said.
"But it was Ninjask and Shedinja who saved the day," TK said.
"TK's right. If Nincada hadn't saved all those Spinda just before evolving, the poor things would have been in trouble," Kari said.
"And so would we," Ken said.
"You guys were awesome out there," Sora said. Ninjask and Shedinja both beamed from the compliment they got. "I look forward in seeing how you'd hold up in a double battle." Sora called his two Pokémon back inside. So the group were making their way towards Mount Chimney when they were greeted by a girl with green hair and olive eyes. She wore a white shirt, a dark blue short skirt, black and red shoes with white heels and a yellow streak on each shoe. She also wore a red and yellow jacket.
"Hey, you with the spiky-hair! I'm looking for top-notch Trainers to battle, and you look strong enough!" The girl challenged.
"If it's a battle you want, I can accept," Sora said.
"Glad to hear it," the girl said.
"But, let's make this a double battle," Sora said.
"Fine with me! A double battle is loads of fun for me and my Pokémon," the girl said, taking out two Great Balls and threw them. "Go! Zangoose and Delcatty!" Her Great Balls opened and her Delcatty and Zangoose came out at the same time. Sora took out his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Ninjask and Shedinja!" Sora called out. His Pokéballs opened and Ninjask and Shedinja emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"A Ninjask and a Shedinja, huh? Those look tough, but let's see how tough. Delcatty! Use Ice Beam! Zangoose! Metal Claw!" The girl ordered. Delcatty fired Ice Beam while Zangoose rushed with a Metal Claw.
"Shedinja! Use Feint Attack! Ninjask! Use Double Team!" Sora ordered. Ninjask made several copies of himself as Shedinja lands a hit on Zangoose with Feint Attack.
"That was a good hit," Tommy said.
"Yeah, but Shedinja's at a disadvantage the way I see it," Ken said.
"What do you mean?" Tommy asked.
"What Ken mean is, even though neither of those attacks can hit Shedinja because of Wonder Guard, but Shedinja has to know some Ghost-type moves, which will have no effect on either Zangoose or Delcatty because they're both Normal-types," Cody said.
"But Feint Attack is a Dark-type move, and that can hit them," Koichi said.
"And that's working for him," Ken said.
"Delcatty! Use Iron Tail! Zangoose! Use Crush Claw!" The girl ordered.
"Ninjask! Use Fury Cutter!" Sora ordered. Ninjask repeatedly slashed Zangoose in the face five times. "Shedinja! Use Silver Wind!" Shedinja unleashed Silver Wind, hitting the both of them.
"Zangoose! Use Crush Claw again!" The girl ordered.
"Ninjask! Use Fury Cutter again!" Sora ordered.
Zangoose came at Ninjask with a Crush Claw, but Ninjask lands another Fury Cutter, stronger than the first one.
"Delcatty! Ice Beam!" The girl ordered.
"Shedinja! Silver Wind!" Sora ordered. Shedinja unleashed Silver Wind, hitting the Normal-types on the mark. "Ninjask! Use Aerial Ace!" Ninjask dashed right at Zangoose, knocking the Cat Ferret Pokémon out. "Use Fury Cutter!" Ninjask slashed right at Delcatty, also knocking it out. The girl was shocked and surprised by what she saw.
"No way! You're tougher than I gave you credit for," the girl said, calling back her Zangoose and Delcatty.
"Thanks, I thought you were pretty tough, too," Sora said, calling back Ninjask and Shedinja. The girl just smiled and shook hands with her opponent.
"Good match. I hope I get to battle again someday," the girl said.
"Me too," Sora said.
With that said, the girl has taken her leave.
The newly evolved Ninjask and Shedinja have saved the wild Spinda from a terrible fate, so Sora, Kairi, and their friends continue on their way for Lavaridge Town and towards Mount Chimney with some more adventures coming their way, very soon.
