Hey everyone, it's been awhile and I apologize for that. The past year has been insanely busy for me with everything and I mean, EVERYTHING. However, now that I'm done with school, it'll be easier for me to focus on personal projects. Even with an upcoming seasonal job I have, I'll still have more time than I did last year. I do want to focus on my professional career, but I'll still make personal projects like these!

Thanks again for your patience and support!

The four heroes, Toothless, and Angus walked through a path. They were all very tired, each step was heavy and slow. Jack didn't have energy to float and Rapunzel was getting sick of carrying her hair. Hiccup had a few cramps and Merida was groaning under her breath. Even Toothless and Angus couldn't carry people and materials for much longer.

"Alright, how about we take a day to rest?" Hiccup suggested.

Merida's stomach growled, making her blush. She held her stomach and looked away from the group. Hiccup was right, they needed to take at least one day off.

"We have to stock up on things like food as well," Merida added.

"As long as it's a break, then I'm fine," Jack said.

Toothless and Angus made a crying sound, showing they needed food and rest too. On the tip of Rapunzel's eye, she noticed smoke emerging. Rapunzel turned aside to see a town in the distance. It was faint, but she could also hear chatter from the same location.

"Guys, look over there!" she said while pointing towards the town, "I think we can rest and find what we need over there!"

"I spy with my little eye: a town!" Jack said.

"Couldn't have arrived at a better time!" Merida added.

"Wait, what about, Toothless?" Hiccup asked, "Won't people be scared of a dragon?"

"Oh, I wouldn't be so sure," Jack said, "You'll be surprised."

"Yeah, I think Toothless will feel quite welcomed here," Rapunzel added.

Hiccup readied a knife in case something happened. Jack and Rapunzel were going to say something to him, but Merida stopped them. They then walked over all trying to stay calm or on guard. The group soon made it to the town with Hiccup and Toothless in the back.

"If these people hurt Toothless, then you guys are his lunch today," Haddock said.

Jack and Rapunzel smiled to tell Hiccup things were going to be okay. Merida readied her bow and arrow just in case. Toothless also showed his fangs if something happened as well. Angus stood tall and strong, having his friends backs.

As soon as they entered, they caught all the villagers' attention. Everyone stared at Toothless, amazed to see a dragon. Hiccup got in front of Toothless, getting ready to run and/or fight. Merida and Angus were prepared for combat as well.

"Oh my goodness," a man said while pointing at Toothless, "They have an actual dragon!"

"And it's a Night Fury!" a woman said, "That's so awesome!"

They signed in relief, happy the villagers didn't see Toothless as a monster. Jack and Rapunzel high fived, knowing this would happen all along. As they walked into the town, a lot of people gathered around the group. They all wanted to see Toothless, ask questions, and meet the team.

"How did you train your dragon?" a man asked.

"Was he/she a gift to you?" a woman asked.

"Can I ride him?" a boy asked.

"I thought Night Fury's went extinct, so this is an even more incredible sign!" another man said.

"Wow, wow, everyone, please," the viking said, "One at a time!"

A few dogs ran up to Toothless with happy faces. Toothless smiled back at them before playing with the dogs. Toothless rolled on the ground, allowing the dogs to crawl on his belly. They all panted happily to show they became friends right away.

"Note to self," Hiccup told himself, "Visit this place again."

"How about you stay here while we find a place to sleep?" Jack asked.

"Sure," Hiccup said, "I'll do a little shopping too."

As Merida, Angus, Jack, and Rapunzel walked along, they saw all the area's lovely features. The village was full of stores, restaurants, and houses of all kinds. A few fountains were located in the area to make the town look prettier. Everyone seemed to be so kind and happy in this village, seeming like they welcomed everyone.

"How'd you know this would be a good place to stay?" Merida asked.

"I've crossed this area quite often," Jack answered.

"Mother also told me this is the happiest place she's been," Rapunzel added.

A bunch of little girls then ran up to Rapunzel, catching her attention. They all surrounded her with dolls, haircoms, and bracelets. A middle aged woman walked up behind the girls, panting a little.

"Forgive me," the woman said, "I'm their caretaker, they couldn't help but notice your hair."

"My hair, huh?" Rapunzel asked, "Would they be interested in helping me with my hair?"

The girls answered by grabbing Rapunzel before pushing/pulling away.

"Hey, be gentle, girls!" the woman said, "Not too rough!"

The blonde woman took a seat by a fountain with the girls. They all braided her long hair, having a great time doing so. They used braids of many different colors: pink, purple, sky blue, the list went on. Rapunzel needed this, especially after having to carry her hair forever.

"Do you have magic hair?" one of the girls asked.

"Yes, in a way, very magical," Rapunzel answered.

"How did it get so long?" another asked.

"I grew it out," Rapunzel answered.

The girls showed the blonde their dolls, which she played with. Rapunzel easily kept up with their energy and games. She also kept them calm and focused so they wouldn't run off. This allowed the caretaker to take a few minute break.

"How about we leave Rapunzel here for a bit?" Jack asked.

"You read my mind," Merida answered.

The iceman and redhead soon found a hotel before entering it. The hotel had a very warm and happy feeling to it. Healthy plants were around the front desk with comfy chairs. A man around 60 years old sat at the front desk doing paperwork. They walked up to him before ringing a bell to catch his attention.

"Excuse me?" Merida asked, "We'd like two rooms for two people each, please?"

"How long will you be staying?" he asked.

"Two or three days," she answered.

After reaching into a box below his desk, he handed a pair of gray keys to Merida.

"There you go, young lady," the man told.

Merida got a little annoyed by the sight of the keys. After her eyes opened wider, she made a big smirk. She stuck her hand into her bag before pulling out more money.

"Give us a pair of your nicest rooms, please?" she asked.

Merida placed a bunch of gold coins on the desk, making the man gasp.

"Y-yes, ma'am!" He said, "Please take these!"

He handed her golden shiny keys, which made her smirk grow.

"Thank you very much," Merida said.

After getting their room numbers, Jack and Merida walked up the stairs.

"Where'd you get all that money?" he asked.

"I'm a princess," she answered.

They soon reached their rooms, each first class. The walls had paintings and busts of people all around. All the furniture were suited for royalty, not one thing was out of place. Both the rooms were spotless, clean as a whistle. A patio and large baths were found in each as well.

"Having you as a friend is a blessing," Jack said, "I mean that from the bottom of my heart."

Merida made a small smile with a warm blush. This showed she could be loved as a princess for her kindness rather than power. It also meant she was more than just royalty: she was a friend, hero, and, of course, a person like everyone.

"Thanks, Jack," she said in a soft tone.

After placing their bags down, Merida walked outside to find Angus a stable. At the same time Jack went to tell the others about the hotel. He soon found Rapunzel dancing with the little girls from earlier. They finished braiding her hair and it looked marvelous. Her hair now reached her ankles, allowing her to run around without carrying it. Flowers of all colors made her already beautiful hair glow more.

"My compliments to the braiders," Jack said.

"Aww, thanks, Jack," Rapunzel said.

Seeing she was having a good time with the kids, Jack decided to join the fun. He made small bits of snow fall on all of them to lighten the mood more. This allowed their hair, clothes, and faces to shine like diamonds. Seeing how pretty they looked made them all happier. Rapunzel gave Jack a smile which he returned.

Hiccup and Toothless soon meetup with Jack and Rapunzel, catching their attention. After guiding them to the hotel, Jack showed his friends their room. Hiccup and Rapunzel's jaws dropped when seeing how amazing they were.

"Where did you get this?!" Hiccup asked.

"A gift from a princess," Jack answered, "One room for the dudes, other for the ladies."

"Aww, that's so sweet of Merida!" Rapunzel said.

Hiccup then found a note on the bed.

It said:

"I found a stable that Toothless and Angus can stay in. I would much rather them sleep with us, but this hotel has strict rules about pets. The stable's behind the hotel and you can find me at the fitness center."

Merida

"At least we have this," the viking said.

Hiccup then took Toothless to the stable Merida told them about. Turns out, it was a very nice place for animals like Toothless and Angus. It was very large, able to fit many large animals at once. Food, toys, and comfy beds were free for all of them. As soon as Toothless saw Angus, they began playing with each other and the animals around. The dragon and horse couldn't have been more happy with old and new friends.

"Thank you, hotel," Hiccup said.

The three then went to meet Merida at the fitness center. They were very surprised to see Merida working out. The redhead was easily lifting heavy weights with each hand. How she handled them in different positions shocked them too. Seeing them watching her gave Merida an idea: she took a seat before placing her arm in arm wrestling position.

"Care to go with me?" she asked in a cocky tone.

All three looked at each other, confused who she was asking.

"All of you…," she said before pausing, "At once!"

Rapunzel almost fainted, Hiccup's face turned white, and Jack gasped. Merida's smirk grew, happy with all their reactions. Not wanting to throw away their pride, they sat across from her. Despite going all at once, they couldn't even move Merida. Their faces were red with sweat pouring down as Merida stayed happy. She then flipped them over, sending all three to the floor.

"You know how I got this strong?" she asked, "I'm Scottish!"

Jack got up to show his angry face, bright pink and grit teeth. Merida smirked at the mad ice man glaring at her.

"I want a rematch!" he said in a demanding tone.

"I beat you all at once," she said, "You really think you can handle me one-on-one?"

Jack took a minute to think, knowing what she said was right. He then moved a few steps back as he calmed down.

"Uh, you know what?" he asked, "On second thought, nevermind."

Hiccup and Rapunzel giggled before Jack gave them unamused faces. Trying to brighten everyone's mood, Rapunzel saw people dancing outside. It appeared to be a festival the town had.

"Hey, is anyone in the mood for a dance?" Rapunzel asked.

They looked outside before smiling back at her.

"Then let's go join them!" the blonde said.

As they danced, Merida easily took the lead over everyone. She dances around at a fast pace, doing many different moves. From spinning on the floor to giant backflips, she was a dancing Queen. Everyone gasped when seeing how skilled she was.

"You rock, Merida!" Rapunzel said.

"I can tell you're a party animal!" Hiccup said.

"You must be the host of most parties in your kingdom!" Jack added.

That last comment made Merida pause for a moment. She then had flashbacks of her mother telling her to act like a lady. For her whole life, Merida wanted to be a party person going on adventures: Now she was finally that person. This moment was something she really wanted, but could it keep happening?

"I…," she said before pausing, "I need to take a minute."

The redhead walked away to get some space.

"Did I say something?" Jack asked.

"I think it was unintentional, but I'll check on her in a few minutes," Hiccup said.

Seeing Merida walk away triggered a memory for Rapunzel. Gothel always told her to stay in the tower because it was for her own good. However, Rapunzel loved this feeling of being around others so much. Dancing, playing games, and making friends is just what she wanted. Was she going to follow her mother's wishes or stay with her friends?

"Rapunzel, are you okay?" Hiccup asked.

Both boys moved closer to her before someone walked through Jack. That caused Frost to freeze in shock and breathe heavily. Jack started to panic when realizing the villagers didn't see him. Hiccup then noticed Jack and was confused on who to help first.

"I need to take a moment as well," Jack said before flying away.

Seeing Hiccup was getting overwhelmed, Rapunzel stepped in to help.

"How about I talk to Jack and you go help Merida?" she suggested.

That allowed Hiccup to exhale before nodding.

"Thank you so much, Rapunzel," he said.

"My pleasure," she replied.

After giving Merida and Jack a few minutes, Hiccup and Rapunzel went to check on them. Hiccup found Merida on the bridge, looking down at the water. Though her face was calmer, Hiccup could still see she was upset. He inhaled before he went to talk with her.

"You okay?" he asked.

She looked at him with a small smile, trying to hide her emotions.

"Yeah," she answered, "Just needed to clear my head."

Hiccup saw through her so he tried helping more. He took a few steps closer, but still gave her space.

"I can tell someone triggered you back there," he said, "If you don't feel comfortable talking about it, I understand. However, I'm here if you need to talk to anyone."

Seeing she could trust him, Merida exhaled and closed her eyes. She then turned to face Hiccup, ready to speak.

"Throughout my whole life, I've wanted to go on adventures and have big parties," she said, "My father, brothers, and other relatives were always supporting me."

"Wow, that sounds great," he said..

"However, my mother has always been the opposite," she said, "Constantly telling me to act like a lady and a princess. She's always said to stay out of fighting, learn manners, and follow her wants."

"Well, she's concerned for you," Hiccup said.

"You don't get it!" she snapped at him with an angry face.

The viking took a step back, intimidated by her angry voice. She exhaled to calm herself down as the angry face faded.

"My mother wouldn't let me be myself!" Merida said, "She wanted to force me to get married and throw away my adventure life! She's always telling me to do this and that! She even wants me to marry some stupid prince for our family! Well I never wanted to marry anyone or do some proper lady crap! She thinks I'm some mink with a giant ego when she's the monster! I didn't ask to be born a princess, nor did I ask to come from a tube who thinks she knows everything!"

As she went on, Hiccup saw Merida start crying a little. He was surprised, Merida was the last person he'd expect to shed tears. They were tears of anger, sadness, and humiliation all mixed together.

"Somehow, I don't even get to pick who I want to marry," Merida complained, "It has to be a prince who's either ugly, selfish, and some weirdo! What's so wrong about me just being myself! It's why I ran away from my kingdom so I can live away from any eejit telling me what to do!"

Merida stopped ranting, letting herself breathe. When they first met, Merida beat Hiccup to a pulp and took pride in it. Now she's telling him all of her issues, even personal ones. Shows how close they've really got to one another.

"I understand how that feels," he said.

Merida looked at him with a confused expression.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"My dad has always put a lot of pressure on me," Hiccup answered, "In fact, he's doubted me for most of my life."

Merida wiped her tears away before listening closer.

"I'm an inventor, a really talented one too," he told, "However, that comes with a price: I'm not a big strong viking like everyone else from my village. And since my father's chief, it makes him disappointed in me even more."

Merida kept listening, understanding his struggles perfectly.

"Recently my dragon training has made me more popular," Hiccup said, "However, no one knows I train with Toothless to find dragon's weaknesses. And with my village being dragon hunters, I can't tell anyone my secrets. My skills are only good on dragons, not much for humans yet."

Merida gasped before stepping back, eyes wide open.

"You mean the reason they had you fight me was because of that?" she asked.

"Yes," Hiccup answered, "And I can't tell anyone or else they could kill Toothless."

"Oh no," Merida said, "Hiccup I'm so sorry!"

"It's fine," he said, "You weren't aware."

"I humiliated you and destroyed the reputation you built up!" she said, "Now all the people who finally came to admire you hate you! And it's all my fault, all I seem to do is make a mess of everything! Why, why are our lives such a mess?!"

"No, it's not your fault," he said, "It's our families."

Merida realized he was right, this hatred between Vikings and Scottish really had harmed so much. Hiccup and Merida's lives were even harder with the awful views they had for each other.

"If only we could make peace," Hiccup said.

"Thanks," Merida said, "For helping me."

"Of course," he replied, "Thank you, too."

Meanwhile, Rapunzel was checking on how Jack Frost was. She saw him sitting on a bench with his head down. She then remembered people walking through him earlier, knowing that's very hard for him.

"What to do?" she asked herself.

"Excuse me?" a small voice came.

Rapunzel turned to see a little boy walking up to her.

"My parents told me to say thank you for everything," he said.

"You're most welcome," she replied.

Seeing the boy then gave Rapunzel a great idea.

"Say, could you do me a really big favor?" she asked.

"Sure," the boy answered.

Rapunzel kneeled down before pointing to where Jack was.

"My friend's over there," she said, "You can't see him now, but if you believe, you will."

"How do I believe?" he asked.

"Just go over to that bench, and say Jack Frost, I want to be your friend," she explained.

The boy was confused but decided to go along with it. When he arrived at the bench, he searched for Jack. The guardian ignored him, knowing he didn't see him.

"J-Jack Frost?" he asked, "Are you there?"

Jack looked forward, surprised the boy said his said.

"I heard you were sad so I wanted to cheer you up," he said.

Seeing this was his chance, Jack made it snow slightly above him. The boy smiled before he danced in the flakes. Jack then made a small horse out of snow which the boy hugged. The snow horse licked him, leaving a chilling feeling.

"This is so awesome!" He said.

The boy gasped before realizing Rapunzel was telling the truth.

"Wait, there must be someone controlling the snow!" he said.

Frost gasped, seeing the boy must somehow believe in him. He turned aside, dropping his jaw when looking towards where Jack was. His eyes were wide open as if he was staring at a supernatural being. His body remained frozen as if it was paused.

"J-Jack Frost?" he asked.

"T-that's me," Jack said.

The iceman gasped before covering his mouth. He was frozen in shock and a small tap of happiness. Their eye contact was strong, locked on one another. He wasn't sure if it was true, but did this boy see him?

"C-can ...," Jack said before pausing, "Can you see me?"

The boy fell down on his rear, eye's still locked on Frost.

"Y-you're real?" he asked.

Jack began crying with a big warm smile, his happiness had gone through the roof. He released a small chuckle, barely able to contain his joy. He felt like jumping, but wanted to keep himself relaxed.

"You can really see me?!" Jack asked in a louder tone.

The boy could only nod, still lost in amazement.

"You see me!" Jack said, full of joy.

He jumped up high before doing many backflips. After landing on his feet, Jack got close to the boy while still giving him space. The boy could see the happiness in his face with warm cheeks, teary eyes, and a giant smile.

"After what felt like forever, more people believe in me!" he said.

The boy smiled, seeing it really meant a lot of Jack.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Frost said.

"Uh, I think you should thank her," he told while pointing aside.

Jack saw Rapunzel waving at the two of them. Before she knew it, Jack was hugging her tightly. She smiled before hugging back, embracing his gratitude.

"H-how can I ever repay you?" he asked, his tears going onto her shoulder.

"There's no price, fee, or tax for a random act of kindness," she answered.

Jack hugged her tightly, so happy he could barely form words. As they hugged, Rapunzel winked at the boy. The boy gave her a thumbs up to reply back.

Music stops

Hiccup, Merida, Rapunzel, and Jack were outside the hotel ready to call it a day.

"We really are something together, I never expected this," Hiccup said, "We're strong alone, but even more as a team."

"Not only that, but it seems we all have a want," Merida added, "All our wants are related in some way."

"We've all had struggles that we still deal with today," Jack said, "They help us understand each other's pains better."

"And if anyone can get us to overcome these problems, it's each other," Rapunzel said, "That's why we need to stick together."

They put their hands together one by one. After that, they smiled at each other, fully trusting them all.

"From now on, we're a team!" Rapunzel said.

"A team of love, adventure, and friendship!" Merida added.

"A team that couldn't be the same without the others!" Jack said.

"This team only goes one way: forward!" Hiccup said to finish the speech.

The Big Four threw their hands up before going to sleep, preparing themselves for the next chapter.
