On Today's Episode: The spies chase Wavemaster up to the very top of his secret base for the final showdown, hoping to stop him before he can cause a flood powerful enough to destroy Beverly Hills. But Wavemaster's got a rather nasty trick up his sleeve that involves the nethicite he's been collecting. Can the spies prevent this world from meeting the same fate as the Moonflow Tides?

Act 3: Wave Warrior

6:21 P.M. – Over Santa Monica

("Jump" by Van Halen plays)

"Hey, water guy, why don't you stop fleeing from us and fight us like a man?!" Britney boasted once the spies had reached the very top of the base.

"You know we'll follow you no matter where you decide to chicken out to!" Alex taunted.

"Who said I was running?" Wavemaster sneered.

That took some of the spies by surprise.

"...and that's supposed to mean what?" Nick chastised.

"You don't get it, buddy, your goose is cooked regardless of what you do..." Mat added.

"On the contrary..." Wavemaster sneered. "I knew you'd follow me, which means that you're just in time to witness the instrument of your demise!"

"Oh, bring it on, buddy!" Bridget proclaimed.

"We got a score to settle, too," Britney remarked, regarding the pool incident.

Wavemaster sneered as if that was what he wanted to hear.

"I'll make you eat your words now..." Wavemaster proclaimed.

The spies then heard rumbling as Wavemaster unleashed his trump card, the nethicite shards they'd seen all across the base suddenly appearing and spinning around him.

"...oh, this can't be good," Alex quipped.

The nethicite shards all converged and fused with the jewel in Wavemaster's staff and created a bright flash of light. When the light had cleared...

"Wait, what the hell did he just turn into?!" May wondered.

Wavemaster had seemingly transformed into a much larger version of himself made entirely of raging water, the nethicite jewel from his staff now protruding from the beast's forehead.

"Regardless, we can beat him," Sam quipped in her leader tone.

"Time to go to war, guys," Nick added.

"YOU'RE NOTHING MORE THAN ANTS TO ME IN THIS NEW FORM!" Wavemaster proclaimed, raising his hand and firing a water tornado straight for Britney, fully intending to rip her apart.

But Mat wasn't having any of that, rocketing forward to push Britney away from the water blast just in time.

"Oof, that was way too close," Britney quipped, leaning over to kiss Mat on the cheek. "Thanks for the save."

"Anytime, Brit," Mat replied.

"So, any ideas on how to take this thing down?" Haruka wondered as the spies circled Wavemaster, keeping their distance from him just in case he tried anything.

"I'm willing to bet that we need to get that nethicite out of his head," Sam answered. "Without that nethicite, he'll be powerless."

"Until then, let's just do what we do best," May quipped as she flew in closer, bashing Wavemaster's hands away with her anchor, until she reached his body and sprayed it with a blast of Ice Queen Perfume, freezing Wavemaster in a sheet of ice.

Of course, Wavemaster didn't stay frozen for long, but it gave the spies a chance to search their gadget loadout for anything that would give them the advantage.

Thanks to the water that made up Wavemaster's current body, they knew it was best to use electric and ice-based gadgets.

Which was why when Wavemaster tried to smash Nozomi with an overhead double-fisted slam attack, she swiftly dodged it and threw a set of Electric Snare Bolas to ensnare Wavemaster's hands and shock his water body.

While this was happening, Nick flew closer to try and find a way to remove the nethicite from Wavemaster's head, only to suddenly be surrounded by a large bubble of water.

"YOU REALLY THINK YOU'RE ANY THREAT TO ME?!" Wavemaster bellowed, clenching his hand to make the bubble constrict around Nick. "YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE CHALLENGED ME!"

"You keep your hands off!" Melissa shouted, freezing Wavemaster's hands so that May could swing her anchor downwards and bash them clean off, causing the bubble surrounding Nick to dissipate.

"Nice save, ladies," Nick quipped as he flew higher into the air just as Wavemaster's water body regrew its hands. "Should have figured he'd do that, honestly."

"At least this seems to be working," May responded. "We just need an opening to get that nethicite out of his head, and he'll be easy pickings."

"Hey, Bridget, is Sonic Mode as effective in the air as it is on land and underwater?" Melissa wondered.

"Against something like this, no better time to find out, really," Bridget proclaimed, reaching for her brooch. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Wavemaster attempted to surround her with a vortex of water like he'd tried to do before, but Bridget had already sped off in the opposite direction before it could do anything to her, an emerald-green light trailing behind her as she moved.

"Now let's see how you like being surrounded, jackass!" Bridget exclaimed as she started flying around Wavemaster to build up kinetic energy while he tried to swipe at her, missing every time.

"ENOUGH OF THIS!" Wavemaster proclaimed, raising his hands and surrounding them with a massive whirlpool.

"Oh, crapbaskets, that's much bigger than the other ones," Sam stated.

"It must be the nethicite amplifying his powers!" Nozomi shouted.

"Somebody get Bridget out of there now!" Britney exclaimed.

"I HOPE YOU ENJOY BEING CONSIGNED TO A WATERY GRAVE, LITTLE GIRL!" Wavemaster cackled.

In response, Bridget gestured to her Sonic Mode suit, which was glowing brightly. "Did you already forget?" Bridget taunted. "I'm not scared of you or your water whirligigs. So you can go and suck it!"

Before Wavemaster could process that insult, Bridget snapped her fingers, expelling her gathered kinetic energy outwards around her in the form of a shockwave of emerald lightning. Wavemaster could only curse his own carelessness as the shockwave struck his water body, electrocuting it thoroughly and dissipating the whirlpool around them.

Nick finally saw his opportunity, flying forward to grasp the large nethicite in Wavemaster's hand and yank it out. Not waiting for a retaliation, Nick flew into the air, tossed the nethicite higher into the air, and much like he had earlier, blasted the jewel with a Final Shine Attack. Unlike last time, however, Nick quickly raised his hands to surround the nethicite with a large psychic bubble just before it could explode, containing the explosion within the bubble.

Without the nethicite to empower him, Wavemaster's water body fell apart rather quickly, the water itself splashing on the roof of the base.

Wavemaster himself, back in his normal body, started falling towards the water until Nick caught him in his psychic hold, then snapped his fingers to encase the villain in a psychic bubble.

"I was so close..." Wavemaster growled. "If only I could have destroyed you brats sooner, then I would have been able to drown this undeserving world!"

"Welcome to the rogues' gallery, then," Nick quipped. "You really shouldn't have underestimated people who have years of experience in the world-saving game, especially when one of them has psychic powers. Read up and try better next time, how about that?"

With that done, Nick flicked his hand upwards to send the bubbled Wavemaster off to containment.

"Man, am I glad that's over," Britney sighed in relief. "That guy was a freak, and we already have a lot of freaks in our rogues' gallery."

"Well, at least he's dealt with," Melissa quipped. "How about we go and check in with Jerry, then?"

"Sounds like a plan," Mat quipped.

7:31 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters

Jerry's Office

"Excellent performance as always, everyone," Jerry proclaimed once the spies had reconvened in his office. RiCO waved her hand to change the image on the office viewscreen to a video feed of the containment facility, where Wavemaster could be seen sulking in his new cell.

"Make sure he can't get his hands on any more nethicite," Sam quipped.

"We're already sweeping his base just to make sure he didn't hide any others away, so you don't have to worry about that one," RiCO responded. "You can all head back home now. I'm pretty sure you all need some relaxing time after that harrowing mess."

"Oh, tell me about it!" Clover exclaimed as RiCO sent everyone back to the beach house.

9:01 A.M. – The Spies' Beach House

The Next Day

When the next day came around, everyone had a good breakfast, but Bridget wanted to be sure to put any extra "demons" out regarding the pool.

"Hey, Brit, if you still have any bad vibes from earlier, maybe we should get those out... what do you say?" Bridget asked.

In the meantime, Mat and a few of the other spies were checking out the 250 broadcast from Thunder Valley in Lakewood, CO after Honda's Ivan Tedesco #9 won the 450 class. Calling the race were the same team as the 450 broadcast – Jason Weigandt, Jeff Emig, and pit reporter Erin Bates.

Currently, Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Christophe Pourcel #377 was the points leader by just 2 points over Suzuki's Ryan Dungey, 177-175; 3rd in points Trey Canard #39 on the GEICO Powersports Honda was out for the year after his bad crash at the last race in Mt. Morris, PA.

"Go on, Brit," Mat encouraged. "It's a legit concern; I'll be waiting."

"Yeah, okay," Britney stated as she got up to follow Bridget.

Bridget was the first to dive in, even doing a stylish little flip as she did so, something she'd clearly picked up from Nick, and that inspired Britney to cast away the last of her own worries and jump in after Bridget.

In the meantime, the moto 1 highlights had just concluded with Pourcel having a DOMINANT ride en route to the first moto victory. His teammate Jake Weimer #19 finished in 2nd, and Star Yamaha's Broc Tickle #43 finished a commendable 3rd place; as for fellow title contender Ryan Dungey, he got held up in the first turn and came back for 6th.

"I thought they were racing at night, dude," Nick told Mat.

"I thought so, too, but the 250 class is normally run first at a live Motocross event," Mat replied. "I guess they wanted the 250s to race in the dusk, and the 450s at night."

Moto 2 got under way with KTM's Martin Davalos #577 getting the early lead with Pro Circuit's Weimer in a close 2nd.

Jason: And the obvious question... WHERE is Pourcel – WHERE is Dungey?! Could Weimer take advantage of this and get his first career win? He finished 2nd in moto 1; if he wins moto 2, it's ALL HIS!

Mat was trying to find both combatants, but he had no luck.

"Big opportunity for Weimer here," Mat replied a bit later.

"Wonder what..." Nick started to ask until a replay came up concerning Pourcel.

Jeff: Watch the start here! Pourcel, the gate BOUNCES and he gets HUNG UP...

Jason: [Laughs] I CANNOT BELIEVE HE STAYED ON THE BIKE!

"That's what you call a mini 'Flying W' there," Mat stated in complete disbelief.

"What the heck did I just witness?" Melissa wondered.

"He's lucky he didn't get bounced right off the bike," May quipped.

Mat had reacted at GEICO Powersports Honda's Blake Wharton #61, who went down after the completion of the first lap. A replay showed Wharton had gotten taken out by KTM's Tommy Searle #123.

As the second 250 moto continued, the spies all saw Britney and Bridget return from their other duty regarding the pool and exercising those possible demons. At the time they'd returned, Weimer and Barcia were now battling it out for the lead.

"Hey, how'd that go?" Clover asked.

"Oh, it was a lot of fun," Britney giggled. "I just couldn't catch Bridget when she dared me to..."

"Hey, being a track star kinda gives me that advantage," Bridget laughed.

Mat had reacted again, this time silently, at Weimer crashing with the lead and losing two positions to Barcia and Davalos.

Jason: Good news for Weimer – he could still possibly win the overall today. Our first moto winner, Pourcel, is in 11th, and Weimer finished 2nd, and the rider who finished 3rd in the first moto – Tickle – he is 8th. So Weimer could still conceivably win the overall. He might have to battle with Searle, who's back in 4th...

"Hopefully a green bike wins again," Sam giggled.

Dungey was finally found and was listed in 10th place.

Simultaneously, Britney, bikini on and all, went to sit with Mat.

"What'd we miss?" Bridget asked.

"Other than that 'Flying W' Mat spoke of with Pourcel off the start, not a lot," May answered.

"Hey, Mat, you were saying that Barcia guy might win one?" Blaine stated. "Maybe this is the one?"

It was true since Barcia had led the way since Weimer's crash.

"I don't know," Mat replied. "I think Weimer's not done."

In the meantime, Dungey had moved up to 9th, but Pourcel was right behind him in 10th.

"Bro, I'm with ya," Nick deduced.

"Hard to bet against Weimer since he's been a pro rider since 2006, and Barcia's been around for... five races now," Mat replied.

The moto continued until Weimer got back around Barcia for the lead with over 10 minutes remaining and began pulling a gap. Behind him, another fracas was taking place as several riders were battling for 3rd place.

Jeff: No wonder... no wonder – Weimer probably took one look behind him, seeing there's about a trillion-rider train there of some extremely talented guys, and look what this has... Dungey and Pourcel, who STILL have not made their way past [Tyla] Rattray, Tickle, [Matt] Lemoine, Metcalfe...

Jason: That's major points on the line. If Dungey made moves late in this race, it was too late for Pourcel to get around them as well...

Currently, KTM's Searle led the train of riders in the battle for 3rd.

"We're having a donnybrook here now!" Mat exclaimed.

"This is the most amount of guys that I've seen in one battle," Haruka commented.

The battle continued all the way down to the end, and some of the spies got to their feet on some guys. GEICO Powersports Honda's Metcalfe then came under attack from Suzuki's Dungey, but he was able to hold off Dungey.

"Oh, here we go!" Blaine exclaimed as Metcalfe DID get around Searle with 2 laps to go.

Jason: Now over this big table, Dungey's been using an inside line! HERE HE GOES! Can he make it work to get around Searle? Wheel to wheel!

Jeff: HE'S GOT THE DRIVE! HE'S GOT THE POSITION! DUNGEY ONE MORE SPOT BUT NO! SEARLE HOLDS ON!

Jason: Well, Dungey got held up by Metcalfe, but Dungey still keeps the throttle wide open!

Seconds later, Searle and Metcalfe bumped and Searle passed Metcalfe back for 3rd. As a result, Metcalfe fell from 3rd to 6th as Dungey and Pourcel got around him.

"Okay, this is turning into a madhouse!" May shouted.

"As all good sports battles should," Nick teased.

Weimer and Barcia were long gone in the meantime.

Mat was just as excited as this battle took the white flag. He then reacted as Dungey did get around Searle for 3rd.

Jason: Now this is big! Pourcel needs to get Searle as well to prevent Dungey from making up – this would be 4 points if Dungey can finish with Searle between he and Pourcel...

Mat was too excited to say something as Pourcel inched up on Searle.

Jeff: Very nice line for Searle – HE TAKES IT BACK!

Jason: Wow! I didn't expect Searle to get Dungey back! Dungey's going to have to get desperate – only a few corners left this moto!

"Searle better not leave the door open a crack!" Mat exclaimed.

That was when Metcalfe attacked Pourcel for 5th place and got around him.

Jason: And meanwhile Jake Weimer looking for his first ever overall win in AMA Pro Motocross AND HE GETS IT! Justin Barcia 2nd, Jake Weimer wins.

Jeff: SEARLE... DUNGEY...

Jason: Metcalfe and Pourcel... and we are out of breath from the high altitude!

Jeff: How is that?! Mitch Payton's boys come through once again! Kawasaki has won every 250F race here!

Jason: And Jake Weimer keeps the streak alive! What a race!

"WOW-EE!" Mat exclaimed as Weimer claimed the overall with his 2-1 moto scores to Pourcel's 1-6.

KTM's Searle rounded out the podium with a 5-3.

That was when Britney and Bridget saw what happened to Pourcel out of the gate in the race recap.

"Wow, talk about getting bounced, for lack of a better word to use," Bridget quipped.

"Tell me about it," Britney replied.

"Wacky, huh?" May told them.

After that was when Britney began getting cuddly with Mat; Mat noticed this and returned the favor since she hadn't had a turn with him yet.

"I hope nobody didn't get the same feelings Britney and Bridget did from the mission," Alex told the others.

"I highly doubt something like that would happen again since that was all Wavemaster's own doing," Melissa stated.

"And, to be fair, we've really been through a lot worse in our spy careers," Clover admitted. "What with all the various death traps and everything."

"No kidding," Bridget responded.

9:34 P.M. – Kedaro Station, Cordelion

Rubicon Forge

A loud beeping caught Ashley's attention, and she looked up just in time to see the Rubicon Forge slowly return to its resting position and a bright glow coming from the forge, indicating that what she'd been searching for was finally within her grasp.

Ashley ran down the stairway and towards the forge just as it opened up to reveal her prize.

A large rifle-like cannon with an oddly-shaped spherical barrel.

At long last, the Dimensionator was hers again.

Ashley reached out to claim the Dimensionator before activating her wrist device to summon the piece of phase quartz she'd mined in the Moonflow Tides, allowing her to open the barrel and place the phase quartz into the slot just inside the barrel.

The Dimensionator shook a bit before coming to life, the phase quartz glowing brightly.

"...I still can't believe I actually did it," Ashley gasped. "All of this dimension-jumping, all of this go-around nonsense... I somehow managed to rebuild this thing."

"I guess that means we'll be heading back home to join up with the resistance?" Glitch asked.

"...not yet, Glitch," Ashley answered. "Despite the fact that we finally have a rebuilt Dimensionator in our hands, if we don't take down Emperor Terrence, then this is liable to loop back to the beginning in an endless cycle."

Ashley adjusted the coordinates on the Dimensionator before raising it and firing it, sending a burst of deep purple light forward before it opened a Quantum Rift to a very familiar beach house.

"And if we're going to take down the Emperor..." Ashley stated. "...we're gonna need some suitable backup."

Totally Spies: Grim Tide-ings

~The End~

Final Note from Mat49324: Well, that's all she wrote for Grim Tide-ings. Hope you liked this one. As I said in the prequel, I did get this from a scene from the 2009 movie, Hole. Hope you might've seen that one; I didn't watch the whole movie (scary movies aren't for me), but I definitely found that pool scene on YouTube. Anyway, with this all done, we're now ready to commence with our S7 finale, Dimensional Cataclysm, and that will be posted on Nick's page. For those of you who still seemed to be scratching your heads at the Ashley OC that showed up early in S7, well, that mystery will very well be unraveled in Dimensional Cataclysm. For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for anything he'd like to say.

Final Note from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's a wrap once again! It felt fun to make an original villain once again and just have him be an utterly unredeemable jerkface, unlike some of my other original villains. I've got ideas for the future when it comes to that, but that's in the future, like I said.

Anyways, the next episode of Totally Spies: The New Adventures is the season seven finale, and we're making one last interdimensional trip (for now, anyway, movie is approaching). We've got an emperor to stomp on and all of reality to save, so don't miss all of the madness next time on Dimensional Cataclysm, which will be posted by me. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Dimensional Cataclysm, and we'll see you next mission!

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

"I saw that coming a mile away," Melissa chuckled when she saw that both Sam and Mat had already jumped into the pool. The spies had just returned from a trip to The Groove, and the weather had gotten real hot and humid real fast.

"Hey, it looks like it's gonna be one of those days," May admitted, using her X-Powder to change into her own swimsuit. "And when in Rome... well, you know the rest."

"Tell me about it, girl," Britney laughed.

"All right, then, who wants to hit the pool?!" Alex proclaimed, earning a loud affirmative from the rest of the spies.

But before they could change and head for the pool, a strange light appeared near the ceiling of the living room. Alex barely had time to reach for her X-Powder before she looked upwards and saw that it appeared to be a glass plate with cracks in it. Suddenly, that glass shattered outwards and a familiar purple glow surrounded the "doorway", the 'glass shards' hanging there in the air.

Before any of the spies could react, Ashley fell through the rift and onto the floor before the rift closed up just as quickly as it had appeared, the "glass shards" retreating to reform the "glass plate" before it disappeared.

"Okay, wasn't expecting that," Dawn quipped.

Nick quickly noticed that Ashley was carrying a large rifle in her hand, with an oddly-shaped spherical barrel and a glowing purple stone in the center that Nick recognized as the Phase Quartz he'd helped her mine in the Moonflow Tides.

That meant this could only be one thing.

"Wow, Ashley, you finally rebuilt the Dimensionator?" Bridget gasped.

"Yeah, and I went through what is essentially hell to do so," Ashley admitted. "But I won't bore you with the gritty details."

Ashley aimed the Dimensionator and fired, opening a Quantum Rift just ahead of her.

"I came here first because... well, I think you know what time it is," Ashley proclaimed.

To be continued in Totally Spies: Dimensional Cataclysm...
