In Minnesota before the guys moved to Los Angelas they spent their afternoons practicing their hockey skills on a frozen lake which always worries Logan. When he notices it looks different than usual and isn’t safe to use anymore he warns his buddies multiple times. Fun turns to fear when they fall through ice and Logan is the only one who can save them

11. Chapter 11

No one likes me at my school. All the kids in my grade ignore me. I've tried so hard to follow the advice you and the guidance counselor have given me. It doesn't work!! I hate school!!! "Katie says tearing up"

They go to school*

Later that afternoon she is walking home when two boys from her class start following her and taunting her* I know you're following me Jackson and Matthew! Leave me alone!

Or what? "Matthew says"

You don't have any friends to protect you "Jackson says"

Leave me alone! "Katie says and walks away faster"

Matthew grabs her ponytail hard and Jackson pushes her against a tree*

You're gonna do as we say! You're nothing but weak little girl with no one to protect you. Whose gonna come? No one!! "Jackson says"

We're gonna give you a makeover "Matthew says and slaps her so she stomps on his foot and bites his hand then runs away"

She's getting away!! Come on! "Jackson says"

He and Matthew run behind her*

Katie runs across the road and slips on some ice just as a car is coming. It stops and she hears a familiar voice*

Katie are you ok? What are you doing in the middle of the road? "Officer Garcia says as he gets out and helps her up"

These two boys from

my school Mathew and Jackson were chasing me. I was walking home and they wouldn't leave me alone. Matthew slapped me so I stomped on his foot and bit his hand to escape "Katie says"

It's ok mija. I'll protect you "Officer Garcia says hugging her and puts her in his car to warm her up and help her calm down"

Matthew and Jackson nervously walk up to him*

You're in A LOT of trouble!! You know better than to ever put your hands on a girl!!! What makes you think it's ok to be a bully?! You should be ashamed of yourselves!! You assaulted her and that's not ok!! I'm gonna teach you a lesson you'll NEVER forget. Get in the back of my car right now and don't talk to Katie. I'm taking you down to the police station where you'll call your parents and tell them exactly what you did!!
