Loki stared at the woman in shock for a few seconds, not quite comprehending that anyone would laugh at his threat. Especially when they knew it came from a literal god, but the girl was laughing at him or at the very least didn't see him as a threat. He frowned at her slightly peeved at her near gasping hysterics because now other passengers were looking at her as if she was insane. He looked away briefly and noted that everyone in the car had moved away from them and quite a few of them had gotten off the train altogether.
He mentally groaned at the fact that her laughter had just negated his plan B which was to threaten the passengers on the train to get her to comply. At the moment he had no idea what to do to get her to help him, though it was imperative that she stop laughing at him. "oh for goodness sake do stop already, nothing I have said is humorous" said Loki, glaring at the women angrily as he turned back towards her. Oh why did his brother insist on surrounding himself with people who were downright insufferable?
She had no idea why she was laughing at him. What he said wasn't the slightest bit funny but for some reason it struck a chord in her that made the laughter bubble to the surface. Perhaps she had truly lost it, and this was the result. She was after all dealing with stuff no sane person would be able to handle. She reasoned that she was still processing everything on some level, I mean who wouldn't.
She should have died when that tornado picked her up. Hell she should have died when it dropped her here, quite literally but instead she developed superpowers. It was like something straight out of a comic book, yet here she was living it. Her support structure or friends were quite literally superheroes and gods. She should be worried that the brother of one of her friends, also a god in his own right was threatening her. For some reason she wasn't and honestly had no way to deal with that revelation other than to laugh like a mad woman.
Gin wasn't insane or at least she hoped she wasn't and that everything that was happening wasn't some giant delusion while she was laying in a coma somewhere. She was however smart enough to extend her shield to the rest of her body and to silently urge their fellow passengers that this was the stop they should get off at while he looked away and struggled with his composure.
She didn't know what he would do and yes that made him dangerous as did his apparent interest in her. When Thor had said that his brother was acting like a love struck teen it had been anything but amusing, she had felt very much afraid of the man sitting next to her. She had never bought into all of those romantic comedy tropes, nor thought the guy suddenly showing up at the heroine's work or wherever as romantic, to her it was straight up stalking and creepy. Just the fact that the man next to her obviously had no concept of boundaries nor what actually was romantic, it was no wonder why both brothers were single. It should have had her running for the hills but right now she was stalling him which meant she was going to have to talk to him.
She frowned that wasn't something she really wanted to do, but if it saved people so be it. Hopefully if she distracted the man long enough she could buy enough time for her friends to step in and capture the idiot. If that's what it took she would do it. She wasn't going to let him cop any more feels while she did so, the man desperately needed to learn boundaries. She was still giggling at him while she studied him. So far he had yet to notice her shield and honestly seemed to be struggling with a response to her reaction. He had probably been expecting her to cower, maybe beg that he not hurt her friends and the very least to be afraid of him enough to do whatever he asked.
Yeah, that was so not happening, she had gradually lost that fear back at the mansion. Tasha had shown her that she could be powerful and fight her own battles. She didn't need to act like the damsel in distress, she could handle this asshole herself. He turned to her and essentially told her to shut up, which she had to admit riled her somewhat. "No" said Gin He had opened his mouth most likely in another attempt to scare her into submission, so she blocked his attempt with a distraction.
"what gives with the hideous helmets?" said Gin The question stunned him because he definitely had not expected it; plus her way of speaking had him scrambling to understand her meaning "Gives?" said Loki once again wearing a frown, though it was from confusion this time. He honestly wasn't sure if this small human was insulting him or not. "you know why are you guys wearing something so hideous on your heads?" said Gin Yeah she didn't really care why but it was the first thought that came to mind to distract him from his plans.
He smirked ever so slightly it had been an insult, but he was surprisingly okay with it because it was also directed at his brother as well. "they are symbols of our rank, though I agree they are a bit. ..ugly" said Loki He was watching her with an unreadable expression as if he had never really had this topic come up in conversation before.
"they couldn't have gone with a less.. bad opera design?" said Gin Loki shook his head no, finally figuring out the woman was not truly interested in his head wear and was most likely stalling to give her friends time to show up. He was however still smiling because she had managed to distract him from his goals however briefly and he was somewhat impressed, few people were able to trick the god of mischief. "did my brother and his friends tell you when they will be arriving?" said Loki He was still grinning when he asked. "Naw, just that I should lock myself in and hide as usual" said Gin
She had no idea why she told him that bit of information maybe she was hoping he would underestimate her even when he was calling her out. He smiled at her and moved closer to her. "and yet here you are doing both as per their request" said Loki He was straight out grinning at her like a cat that had just caught a canary. She let her breath out in a slight huff. "wow, you two really are brothers aren't you" said Gin He tilted his head slightly to regard her as if trying to gauge her reasoning behind that statement. "yes, we are" said Thor Loki rolled his eyes and groaned, standing slowly to meet his brother and her friends.
He was still blocking her path however and didn't look like he had any intention of moving. Gin glanced out the window of the train which was now halted at their current station. Shield agents occupied the platform and it looked like they had already evacuated the station and the train. She glanced back at Thor and noted that he looked pissed off, unless she was seriously misreading the tension in his shoulders and the way his eyes literally looked like he had sparks dancing across his irises. Gin swallowed nervously, certain some of that anger was directed at her and slunk back into her seat wishing she was anywhere but here.
"Hello brother" said Loki Thor narrowed his eyes at the man and crossed his arms over his chest. "step away from her brother" said Thor Loki sighed but didn't move one inch."now why would I do that, we were getting along so nicely"said Loki Thor narrowed his eyes and let out a string of words which she was certain were swear words in a language that sounded vaguely like Norwegian.
