Peering back and forth between the two tables, you eventually find your feet walking toward Melissa and the other seniors. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Horie look completely dejected before turning her attention back to the conversation with her new social circle.

Realizing you were joining her, Melissa's smile brightened. You could hear some whispering as Melissa and Gary scooted away from one another to make more room at the table for you, Himiko, and Pony.

"I'm so glad you could join us," Melissa beams.

"So, are these the three from Japan?" Gary questions.

Pony blushes, flustered. "Um, I'm actually your underclassman?"

"I mean, obviously," the martial artist, Jason, jumps in. "Just because you're from Japan doesn't mean they aren't our underclassmen."

"I-I, I've been here for the last three years," Pony clarifies.

"Her name is Pony Tsunotori, daughter of the retired Pro Hero, Cow Lady," Julius, the student council president, jumps in, a slight smirk on his face. "You should really pay attention to things besides your martial arts, Jason."

"Idiot," the goth girl mumbles.

"Technically, Mark forgot, too," Melissa teases.

"Guess I did," he scratches the back of his neck. "Though it's not like I often hang out with the underclassman."

"No, because you'd much rather hang out with your girlfriend."

Most of the table, minus the goth and the one remaining nerdy-looking boy, who you swear has fallen asleep, laugh at Mark's expense.

As you, Himiko, and Pony take your seats, Melissa turns to the latter, offering her hand. "My name is Melissa Shields. I'm president of the support gear club. It's nice to meet you properly for the first time, Pony."

Pony shakes her hand a bit awkwardly. "N-nice to meet you, too."

"Do you have any hobbies or anything like that?" Mark questions.

"I'm part of the cheerleading squad with Kauzha. I'm also in the theatre club and have a pretty little doggy."

"We should introduce her to you all," Melissa encourages with a wink. "Violet is such a sweet dog. And her sister is just as adorable."

You prevent yourself from scoffing, not appreciating Melissa bringing up that can of worms here and now, but luckily the group seems to move on as Pony goes.

"Um, I like an-anime and manga," Pony admits, flinching back slightly, nervous about how the new group might react.

"Are we sure she's not from Japan?" Jason jokes. "Still, at least your head isn't always buried in a book like some people I know."

The goth girl elbows the martial artist before returning to her book.

"See?" Jason flinches, subconsciously rubbing his side. "Anyway, guess we should continue introductions. My name is Jason Thomas. I'm the president of the school's martial arts team. And… that's about it."

"That's about it?" Melissa rolls her eyes. "Don't be so modest. You're the national champion for your age bracket two years in a row!"

"Wow, that's impressive," you praise. "I'm assuming you have an awesome quirk."

"I'm actually quirkless," Jason explains. "Traditional martial arts tournaments don't allow the use of quirks. In fact, people with mutation quirks are considered the same as a different weight or age category."

"Really? Huh. I figured most people who practice martial arts are doing it to become heroes."

Jason's brow furrows. "Just because I'm quirkless doesn't mean I don't want to become a hero."

"No offense, Jason, but how do you figure you're gonna do that?"

"Have you ever heard of Terry Sparks and Sparks Industries?"

"Obviously," the nerdy boy who was previously asleep jumps in, a twinkle in his eye. "He was a prodigy when it came support gear. Using his fortune, he built a prototype armored suit that could replicate quirks. He even used it to become a hero during the dark ages until he was assassinated."

Julius flinches at the word, glaring at the boy.

"Oh. Sorry, Julus," he says apologetically.

"It's fine, Milies," Julius says softly but sternly. "Really."

From his facial expressions alone, you can tell that Julius is anything but 'fine.'

The tension's so thick it could be cut with a knife. And yet I think I'm the only one who noticed.

"Anyway, after Mr. Sparks was killed, the U.S. military accessed all his research and used it to build the Morphers."

"The Morphers?" you question.

"They're a team of quirkless individuals who work under the U.S. government and are given power suits derived from Sparks' research. These suits and their weapons increase the wearer's durability and strength and can even replicate the abilities of quirks to some extent."

You can see the determination in Jason's eyes. "It's my dream to join the Morphers."

"But… why wouldn't they just pick people with quirks to pilot the suits?"

"Because the suits weren't originally designed for people with quirks in mind," Jason describes. "There can be some weird side effects. And more importantly, the Morphers are supposed to symbolize to our people that anyone can be a hero. And that's what I want to be."

"This coming from the same country that treats its quirkless population as if it's a handicap?" you lean back, unconvinced. "You sure that's all there is to it?"

"You really think quirkless people can't be heroes?"

"Not once have I seen a quirkless student make their way into the hero course, nor have I heard of a quirkless student getting in at another hero school. I'm not saying they can't be heroes, but they are so disadvantaged. The Japanese government thinks it's more cost-efficient to build support items on heroes with proven quirks that aren't reliant on machinery than the Morphers."

"Japan is also infamous for the discrimination faced by their quirkless population. The United States isn't perfect, but it hasn't gotten so bad that most of our quirkless population migrated out of the country after the dark ages. Besides, what makes you an expert on the topic?"

Maybe the fact I grew up in an orphanage where the power of your quirk determined your chances of getting adopted? Though he's not wrong. At least I developed a quirk. It's not like I experienced continued discrimination like Izuku or Natsumi had to.

You shake off those thoughts, focusing on the main crux of the debate.

"I've lived at U.A. for basically my entire life. I think I'd know a thing or two about this."

Gary's eyes widen in recognition. "I thought you seemed somewhat familiar. You're Kazuha Chiba-Shunzenji?"

You slightly bow. "At your service. Though I'm surprised that you know who I am."

"After visiting U.A. for his presentation a few years back, my dad talked about having me apply there as an international student. And he talked about the dinner with you and your family as a major selling point."

You sigh. "My dad is quite the salesman, I guess. So will you be my upperclassman again in the future?"

Gary chuckles, though you can sense a bit of a strain in it. "No, I won't be. No offense, but I'd rather go to a hero school in the country where I plan to be a pro hero."

"Is that what you want to be, or what your dad is forcing you to be?"

"I won't deny my dad is somewhat pressuring me to follow in his footsteps," Gary admits. "But it's not like I don't want to be a hero. Becoming one is the only… I don't know what I'd be otherwise."

You decided it was best not to pry. "What about everyone else? I know Pony has been considering applying to U.A. What about the rest of you?"

Most others don't respond… except for one person who sheepishly raises her hand.

"I applied," Melissa states, causing your eyes to widen slightly.

"Really?" you say, surprised. "I thought you wanted to go to I-Island Academy?"

"I do. But… U.A. has an excellent support course too. And… I thought I might want to spend more time with you?"

You and Himiko smile. "We'd like that. I'm sure Horie would as well."

"I-I'm still deciding," Melissa admits. "It's not a sure thing yet."

Seeing the conversation derailing, Julius leans forward. "So you're both foreign exchange students?"

"Yep," Himiko confirms.

"I don't think we've been acquainted," Julius points out. "My name is Julius LeRouge, student council president."

"Himiko Toga. Kazuha is my girlfriend."

Luckily, nobody at the table gives any second thought to that comment, allowing you to relax your guard a bit.

"Are you going to be stealing his job?" Himiko bluntly asks you aloud.

Julius raises an eyebrow at that. "Job?"

"Sorry about her," you apologize. "I'm the student council president back home."

"I see," Julius muses. "I'm assuming you gave up the position to come out here?"

"Nope."

"But it's a thirteen-hour time difference," Gary reasons.

"Exactly," you counter. "Most student council work takes place during the morning anyway, so I'll just work on it after school our time. And I've got that place running like such a well-oiled machine that there's no shot I'll lose the election. I'll probably even have time to join this school's cheerleaders to stay in practice."

"So dedicated," Julius praises. "Maybe we should spend some time together? Exchange notes from one president to another?"

"Wow," Jason smirks. "Our school's ladies' man is finally making a move? And on a taken woman?"

Julius rolls his eyes. "Stop trying to make this something it's not, or I will cut your club's budget in half."

"You threatened to do the same thing last week, so that means little," the goth girl points out. "Name's Rae Robins, by the way. Now leave me alone."

"The resident ice queen gracing us with her presence," Gary notes. "That's probably all you're getting out of her."

"And I'm Miles Parker," the final boy at the table introduces himself. "I'm in the support course with Melissa."

Recognizing his name from Pony's description, you decide to play the sympathy card. "I'm sorry about your loss."

"Huh?"

"I heard something about your uncle passing away."

"Oh," Miles says dejectedly. "Yeah. That was about six months ago, actually."

"Doesn't make it better."

"No," Miles says harshly. "It really doesn't."

Melissa puts a comforting hand on Miles' shoulder. "It's not your fault."

You can't help it, letting curiosity get the better of you. "What exactly happened, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I was at a convenience store," Miles explains. "I was trying to get a carton of milk, but the owner had raised the prices, so I was a few cents short. He was dismissive of me and told me it "wasn't his problem" I was broke. So when this guy walked into the store with a gun, threatening to steal the money from the cash register, I didn't do anything. And when the guy got away, and the owner looked at me, I told him it "wasn't my problem" either."

"What?" you scoff. "Did the owner expect you to use your quirk?"

"I-I don't have one," Miles admits, though something about his tone makes you feel like he's lying. "Anyway, my uncle was a police officer, and he was coincidentally patrolling the neighborhood. Because I didn't stop that guy, you can… probably figure out the rest."

You frown. "That's… awful. I apologize for making you relive it."

"No," Miles reaffirms. "I'll probably wish for the rest of my life that I could relive that day, but it taught me that great power comes with great responsibility. And my power is, uh, it comes from the support items I make."

"You should see him work," Melissa jumps in. "Not only does it have really cool functions, but it's so well designed. You should see his notebook. The art and blueprinting are incredible. None of us could hope to match it."

"You say that, but then you've cut your workload in half, and your grades have been slipping," Jason interrupts. "You're almost as bad as Julius, and at least he has the excuse of not caring about schoolwork outside the council duties. And you call that responsible?"

Julius doesn't even flinch, almost seeming disinterested in Jason dragging him under the bus, but Miles is clearly more hurt by those words.

"Lay off," Rae speaks up. "The Parkers had financial issues before Davis' death. With it just being his Aunt Rio, he's got a responsibility to his family first and foremost."

"Big words from the most apathetic person in the school. When did you grow a heart?"

"Maybe I always had one," Rae shrugs. "Your head's just too big to notice."

"That's enough," Miles intervenes. "Please don't fight over this."

The group seems to settle down, but it makes you wonder.

These people don't exactly seem to get along. They're all so different. Why exactly are they drawn to each other?

It doesn't take long for Himiko to draw her own conclusion, one you were suspicious about but had the social grace not to ask. "So, is everyone at this table quirkless?"

Gary shakes his head. "Rae and I aren't, but the rest? You hit the nail on the head."

"What are they?"

"My quirk is called Invincible," Gary explains. "It grants me truly superhuman durability. Basically, my body just refuses to die."

"That seems really potent."

"It's got some drawbacks," Julius clarifies. "Just because he is physically impervious doesn't mean he doesn't feel the damage he would've taken. The mental scars remain."

"Did you have to reveal my big secret to a bunch of strangers?"

"You're the one who offered details on your quirk."

"My quirk is called Astral Projection," Rae explains. "Effectively, I can channel my, for lack of a better word, consciousness, into a projection. It's an extension of myself and my personality. But if I don't keep my emotions in check, my soul can go on a rampage, acting off my feelings."

"That seems incredibly versatile," you comment.

"And incredibly dangerous." Rae shakes her head. "What about your quirks?"

"Mine's called Transform," Himiko begins. "By absorbing the DNA of a living thing, I can become a perfect copy of that person, minus being able to use their quirk."

"Like blood? Sick."

Don't give her any weird ideas, goth girl.

Pony goes next. "My quirk is a bit quirky. It's called horn cannon. I can shoot the horns from my head as projectiles, and they'll regrow instantly. They also grant me a form of flight if I focus hard enough."

"You're a duel-quirk user, correct," Julius observes. "Those are quite rare."

"You mean my horse biology?" Pony notes. "Yeah, that's more from my mother's side. I got a quirk based on both my parents. At least I don't shoot eyes like my Dad."

"What about you?" Rae questions.

Part of me wants to lie, considering it's obvious that at least one person at this table is hiding something about their quirk or lack of one, but considering Melissa might of told them about me and my real quirk, it's not worth the risk of her exposing me.

"It's Duplication," you reveal. "If someone willingly gives me their DNA, I can create a weaker copy of their quirk. Though sometimes they mutate in unexpected ways."

"If you could believe it, Kazuha wasn't always a dragon," Melissa says. "It was so weird when we got reunited after that. I felt so bad to not recognize her."

"I recognized her," Himiko brags, a flirtatious edge on the end of it. "How couldn't I?"

"Wow," Rae voices sarcastically. "Two people whose quirks require DNA to use effectively? It's so surprising that you two got together."

Before you can retort, the bell rings.

"Oh shoot!" you realize, looking down at your now inevitably lukewarm cafeteria food. "We haven't eaten!"

"How about we get something after school as a group?" Jason suggests. "Give us a chance to get to know each other."

"Pizza," Rae puts her foot down. "Nothing is better than New York Pizza."

"You say that until you work at one of those places," Miles groans. "I didn't even last a week there."

"All over a late pizza, right?" Jason remembers. "Weren't you only five minutes late."

"It was closer to fifteen. Twice," Rae reminds the jock. "And one of them was dropped."

"Did you have to bring it up?" Miles complains. "It's an accident."

"And a sin."

Miles shakes his head. "Anyway, I can't make it today, but I hope the rest of you have fun."

"Same here," Julius interrupts. "I've got some business to attend to."

"When have you two ever not been busy?" Mark smirks. "Granted, most of the rest of us will be busy once the clubs get underway."

"Enjoy the freedom while it lasts," Rae recommends. "Or just quit. I love having a life outside school."

"And inside a book instead?"

"I like books."

As you all dismiss yourselves to get to your next classes, you peer back at your new group of friends.

There's something weird about this group, but that just makes me want to get to the bottom of it all. And I do no doubt I will if given a little time.

Something tells me that this semester is going to be an interesting one.

Report Card: Kazuya Chiba-Shuzenji

Age: 17 (as of Chapter 14, not counting the flash forward in Chapter 10)

Strength: 2.0 (E+)

Dexterity: 1.0 (E)

Constitution: 3.5 (D)

Intelligence: 4.0 (D+)

Charisma: 5.0 (C)

Technique: 1.5 (E)

Flight: 0.0 (F)

Special: 0.0 (N/A)

Statistic Descriptions:

Strength measures a hero's ability to exert physical force. A hero with high strength can lift heavier objects. Additionally, their melee attacks deal more damage, and they are more capable of performing incredible athletic feats. If you want to hit things hard, this is your stat.

Dexterity measures a character's agility, speed, reflexes, hand-eye coordination, balance, acrobatics, and stealth. Compared to flight, this primarily focuses on your ground maneuverability, so this is what to focus on if you want to go fast.

Constitution measures a hero's physique, toughness, health, resilience, stamina, and overall endurance. The higher a hero's constitution, the longer they can stay in the fight and the more damage they can take before taping out. This is the stat to raise if you want to take many hits. In addition, it determines how many quirks that Kazuha can have.

Intelligence measures mental acuity, a hero's reasoning ability, strategic capabilities, and investigative skills. It comes into play when the hero needs to draw on logic, education, memory, or deductive reasoning. If you want to work smarter, not harder, the more intelligent, the better.

Charisma measures your force of personality and a hero's ability to interact effectively with others, including reading body language, speech habits, and other changes in mannerisms. The more charismatic the hero, the more insight they'll have into other people's motivations, and the easier it will be for them to use their words to either manipulate or persuade other people. If you believe the pen is mightier than the sword and words can be just as strong as actions, then this stat is one you'll want to prioritize.

Technique measures a hero's ability to use their quirk(s) effectively and efficiently within their natural limitations. Often times alternatively called precision, technique gauges a hero's accuracy with ranged weaponry and special abilities. In some instances, even in melee combat, it can assist a hero in targeting an opponent's weak point, such as hitting pressure points or vitals. Lastly, it considers a hero's general awareness of their surroundings and the keenness of their senses, their ability to perceive. The technique stat is essential for a hero who primarily fights at range or has a difficult-to-control quirk.

Flight measures a hero's ability to move in the air. Flight is to the sky, as dexterity is to the ground. The better a hero is at flying, the more aerial maneuvers they can perform, the better they will be at midair combat, and the faster they will be.

Special measures a hero's ability to get the most destructive force possible out of their quirks. This stat is almost exclusively reserved for holders of emitter-type quirks and is distinctive from physical strength in that most special moves do not require the user to make direct contact with the opponent to deal damage.

Alternate Outcomes:

Chapter 1 (Male or Female: Who Do You See Looking Back In the Reflection?):

Your choice of sex determined quite a few things moving forward. Firstly, it has subtle effects, such as who would be the PC's bunkmate at the orphanage. But it also impacted the PC's development, locking off specific mentors and, as a result, particular quirks.

Most important was romance options. Kazuya would be able to date any of his female classmates, some female pro heroes and villains, The Big 3, as well as Yuga Aoyama, Koji Koda, Minoru Mineta, and Neito Monoma, assuming your choices didn't seal them off. Kazuha, conversely, is a bit more limited when it comes to romance options (not that it matters, considering you're already dating Himiko Toga, lol). For reference, Kazuya can date Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Tenya Ida, Eijiro Kirishima, Fumikage Tokoyami, Neito Monoma, Tsuyu Asui, Momo Yaoyorozu, Himiko Toga, the Big 3, and some villains, including as you already know, Himiko Toga. This list is non-exhaustive, though it serves as a reasonable basis for anyone curious.

But yes, this was pretty standard determining romance options and lots of subtle things that are often or indirectly contributed to biological sex.

Chapter 2 (What Is Your Birthday Wish?):

Each of the wishes lined up with the obtaining of a different starting quirk. While the other starting quirks would also be available later on in specific other routes, as you saw by later getting Benimaru's quirk a few chapters down the road, this would be your primary quirk and would automatically reach Level 2 before reaching U.A. It would additionally set your character on the path of getting more quirks like it more quickly than they otherwise would be to obtain.

Picking "I Wish I Could Fight People Like Sadow" led to you getting his quirk, Adrenaline Rush, sometimes called Action Surge.

Choosing "I Wish I Could Protect Myself Like Ben" would have Kazuha get Shield as her starting quirk.

Deciding on C, "I Wish I Could Help People Like Horie," gets you Horie's quirk, Lay on Hands.

Chapter 3 (Who Are You Interested In Adopting You?):

This is probably the single most crucial decision you've made thus far.

Choosing Inko Midoriya would lead to you becoming Deku's sister, sealing off a future romance with Deku. You would've had a choice between supporting Deku or Bakugo. Picking Deku would lead to him being more serious about being a quirkless hero, and as such would be better able to handle One for All at the start of the series. Deku would instantly trust you with the secret (regardless of who you sided with, considering Deku is your brother, he can't avoid it even if he dislikes you). If you sided with Bakugo, you would be on the fast track to getting his quirk. You'd also be able to start dating him before getting into U.A. (much like you did Himiko). However, Deku would consider you a rival, much like Bakugo, if not worse.

Choosing Enji Todoroki would have had two effects. Firstly, you would've had a choice between Enji and Shoto. Picking Enji would result in you not only getting Enji and Rei's quirks, but Enji would've called in his pro-hero connections to get you a free quirk from a pro-hero. In exchange, Shoto and Dabi would despise you. Picking Shoto doesn't give you the free quirk, but you and Shoto would be actual siblings, and you may have had a chance of preventing Dabi from becoming a villain. You also get Shoto's quirk rather than Enji and Rei's, which is frankly just more cost-effective.

Choosing David Shield causes Kazuha to be raised by Melissa, the two having to fend for themselves mostly. This Kazuha would have no interest in becoming a hero, instead enrolling in U.A.'s support course. While you could eventually move to the hero course through the sports festival, it would regardless give Kazuha more significant connections and better gear when it comes to getting and making support equipment. Alternatively, instead of just having this summer in the U.S., your entire childhood would be in the U.S., giving you a higher chance of getting specific quirks from the American heroes (hint: Stars and Stripes).

Choosing Nezu and Nobody are mirror images of one another, with some considerable deviations. With Nezu, you were raised by heroes and deeply involved with hero culture. You had hero mentors and are on track to be a hero. Of course, there are other benefits you haven't yet been exposed to, but you picked it, so you have an idea about how this goes.

But with Nobody? That's the villain version. You would have the option to be a hero or a villain. Staying on the hero path means Kazuha has to start as a general course student; she wouldn't have the quirks to pass the hero course exam from the get-go. It would effectively be the hard mode for MMS. But if you pick the villain path, you run away with Himiko and would join the League of Villians. If you did join U.A., it would be as an uncover agent, much like another character whose name I won't mention for spoiler's sake. On the villain path, you would've been groomed by All for One to be Shigaraki's right-hand woman and would've given you one of numerous extra quirks, basically treating you as a human Nomu.

Chapter 4 (What Are Your Final Words To Benimaru?):

Most of these final words were merely flavor text and neutral responses. The only responses that have any noticeable effect are asking Benimaru for his quirk and giving him Mr. Fluffles. Asking for his quirk does not, in fact, get you his quirk. Instead, he resents you a little, his final memory of Kazuha souring his image of her. Giving him Mr. Fluflles results in you getting his quirk (so congrats). Note that you only received this choice because of the route chosen. Only the Inko and Nezu routes give you a chance to say farewell. Shields doesn't have enough time (a plane to catch, meaning an early morning pickup, and you'd have to leave early), and Endeavor is… Endeavor, lol. Lastly, in the Nobody route, your final interaction with him is pretty negative, regardless of choice, primarily due to him resenting you for not taking your golden ticket.

Chapter 5 (What Will You Say To Himiko?)

So there was really only one good option here. Telling Himiko you would only be friends with her if Horie was friends with Himiko would lead to her becoming your friend, but she'd be distant, much like Himiko was with her 'friends' in the canon timeline. As a result, you would not be able to interfere with Himiko attacking Saito and becoming a villain. Deciding not to be her friend at all leads to the same thing, just Himiko would not consider Kazuha a friend.

Chapter 6 (What Should Kazuya Do About Himiko?)

This was the second important choice in Himiko's development, and a lot harder than the first one to not screw up if you wanted to avoid her path to villainy from the get-go.

Telling Himiko, "You Should Listen To Your Parents," would lead to Himiko doing so, eventually breaking at the time that she attacks Saito. It would also cause Himiko to think bitterly of Kazuha moving forward, associating her with her parents. She then goes on to join the League of Villains.

"You Need Help" and Getting Nezu leads to Kazuha showing fear of Himiko, which breaks Himiko. She runs away from home even sooner and becomes a far more formidable villain, becoming Shigaraki's right-hand woman. Moving forward, Himiko would still consider Kazuha a friend.

Asking Himiko for her quirk leads to Kazuha getting Himiko's quirk. This leads to a Kazuha who views Himiko as a minion to be controlled. Himiko's fate would either be to become a villain, one who despises Kazuha, or Kazuha to effectively put a leash on Himiko. Their 'relationship' would be incredibly toxic, and the moment you did something to screw it up, Himiko would defect to the villains.

The only correct option here was to accept Himiko, which is what you did. Good job, because you successfully bypassed the second roadblock to hero Himiko.

Chapter 7 (Who Should Be Kazuya's Mentor?):

Obviously, vote rigging ended up tainting this option, so none of these options technically got chosen directly, meaning plenty of things to explain.

I'll start with the two that you basically got a fusion of. Picking Ryukyu or Yu means you get their quirk and have them as a mentor moving forward. Picking Ryukyu secures that you also end up having a working relationship with Miriko (this goes vice versa if you choose Miriko as a mentor). Picking Yu means you end up meeting The Lurkers and building a bond with them early. Due to the vote rigging, I had to reconsider my plans for Yu, but I'll get into that when discussing the next chapter's outcome.

Picking Emi technically gets you Ms. Joke's quirk, but let's be honest; it's not all that good. The real benefit of choosing Emi is that she will join the U.A. staff instead of Ketsubutsu Academy. This gives the U.A. staff a massive boost, as she will be a teacher for your class.

Lastly, picking Anan Kurose… would've not been good for Kazuha's health. Kazuha's body was nowhere near strong enough to handle Anan's quirk, and it was an incredibly dangerous quirk to boot. Trying to use this quirk would've backfired, resulting in Kazuha losing her right arm and replacing it with a mechanical one (think Edward Elric from FMA or Atsuhiro Sako from MHA). Thirteen would feel incredibly guilty and would always keep a close eye on you. However, you could get this arm upgraded with support equipment, even if it limits what quirks you can use moving forward.

Additionally, each mentor would give Kazuha a character trait associated with them.

Picking Ryukyu makes Kazuha a team player, making Kazuha more inclined to work with others. Otherwise, she pushes Kazuha toward being more lawful good, the traditional image of a hero.

Picking Miriko makes Kazuha a lone wolf… or, I guess, rabbit. Her only real exception would be Miriko and her boyfriend/girlfriend. She's more likely to rely on her own strength and would generally be more aggressive and competitive.

Picking Emi would lead to Kazuha being more of a prankster. She'd also have a desire to become a teacher. Emi was basically how to ensure Kazuha would become Nezu's successor as Ms. Prefect.

Picking Kurose wouldn't change Kazuha's base personality too much, but it would make her desire to become a rescue hero.

Picking Yu causes Kazuha to become more flirtatious and playful, but not to the point of weaponizing it, which is what occurred due to the changed circumstances for Yu.

Chapter 8 (Mentor Rematch):

So obviously, as part of the tie-breaker, Kazuha already got Ryukyu's quirk, so that wasn't on the line. The question is… what changed in the rematch? The answer is quite a bit… at least for Yu, as a result of the dramatically different circumstances for becoming Kazuha's mentor that arose due to bashing these two mentorships together and conforming to the desires of voters who wanted Yu to begin with. With Ryukyu, you'd get Level 2 in the Dragon Quirk instead of Level 1. Though most of everything else is the same.

Picking Yu will lead Yu on a dramatically different path for her from canon if her trajectory isn't altered due to your decisions. Instead of joining the Lurkers, she is on track to become more of a Uwabami figure who, outside of emergency situations, is a hero in name only. Frankly, she's selling her body and image. However, you did get a massive boost to Charisma by picking her. Otherwise, things are the same as the last time, though Yu's innate extra bonds are gone.

Chapter 9 (What Type of Relationship Should Kazuha Have With Himiko?)

Each of the different relationships had a different result. Staying friends with Himiko would've not given you any proper Himiko management choices yet, instead giving you the option to handle Himiko's crush on Saito, which means she could still become a villain, depending on what you did.

Picking friends with benefits for Himiko does give you Himiko management choices… a total of two. Depending on the choices made, it's still likely that Saito is eventually attacked by Himiko, assuming her sociability and sanity were less than four combined. It also automatically makes Himiko's promiscuity a 2.

Going with a casual relationship with Himiko starts you off with 3 Himiko management points, and she gains 1 promiscuity. She would need only a combined value of above two in sociability and sanity to avoid attacking Saito and pushing her instead down the path of a hero.

Going with a committed relationship with Himiko gets you 4 Himiko management points. Her promiscuity starts at 0, and she will never attack Saito. However, she's committed to this relationship, and breaking up with her will go even worse than if you were merely causal. If you wanna mess around with others, you're gonna have to bump up the promiscuity value… or another value you haven't unlocked yet.

Chapter 10 (Time Skip Choices):

Most of these choices will be available later, particularly the Himiko management. As a result, I will choose to refrain from discussing those that will be relevant in the future. Sorry for the lack of completeness. To make up for it, I will spell out what choices you did take clearly.

Picking to join the sports team results in a (1) strength and (.5) constitution boost. The upgraded version also gets you a dexterity boost (1), as well as more significant increases to strength (1.5) and constitution (1) than the standard version. Picking a sports team here means you can join a sports team at U.A. Otherwise, you can only take the sport as a club.

Picking cheerleading gives you minor (.5) dexterity, technique, and charisma boosts. Choosing to be captain gives you double the increase in all three stats. Kazuha can join the cheer squad at U.A. as an elective by picking this.

Picking theatre boosts technique (1) and charisma (.5). Getting the starting role boosts both stats to 1.5. You could also join the theatre club in U.A. as an elective. Otherwise, you can't.

Becoming student council president boosted your intelligence and charisma by 1 each. More importantly, is that it will give Kazuha multiple opportunities later, including setting you up to become class representative at U.A. reasonably quickly, which will provide you with a bit more power in U.A. than you might've had otherwise (which was already a lot because of Nezu being your dad).

Becoming valedictorian would've been a boost of +2.5 to intelligence, a substantial growth to your abilities. This doesn't lock you out of becoming valedictorian in the future, but it's gonna be more challenging without getting it in high school.

Taking an elective on support gear would've increased your intelligence by 1 and your technique by .5. It would also give you a chance to take a support class elective (there is really only one other opportunity to begin going down this track, should you desire it). Taking such a class would mean better gear in the future potentially.

Picking the exchange program gives you a .5 in charisma and .5 intelligence. The intelligence is for multitasking with your duties back in Japan and being exposed to new teaching methods. The .5 charisma is due to exposure to people of a different culture and restarting your social life. It also allows you to begin with a fantastic original arc you're just seeing the start of. I hope you're enjoying it. And yes, you'll get the chance for more significant boosts to stats based on your choices in this arc.

Asking Himiko for her quirk just has her give it to you if you are in a relationship. It will cost points to do so if not, going up by 1 for friends with benefits or 2 for just friends.

Proposing to Himiko Upon Graduation gives you two advantages. Firstly, moving forward, you will have 5 Himiko Management Points. Additionally, you will get a free boost or decrease to any stat you choose without spending Himiko Management Points. In exchange, your relationship would immediately jump to the highest level. A lot of choices would be sealed off, especially romantic ones. Though it would've opened new paths too.

Having Himiko join you in any club will give her a boost in two stats in exchange for a negative in independence. If she joined that club alone, then there is no negative to independence. For cheer, Himiko got a bonus for sociability and promiscuity. For theatre, she got a bonus for skill and sociability. Picking these will allow Himiko the options that Kazuha has for clubs and electives.

Training Himiko with her quirk increases both her skill and sanity. Additionally, due to Kazuha getting Transform, Kazuha is now Level 2 with the quirk.

Helping Himiko socialize increased her sociability by 2.

Getting Himiko a Puppy under normal circumstances gives Himiko a boost of happiness, sanity, and independence. However, you picked one of the secret 'upgrades' by taking quirk training, which lowered the cost by 1 but led to the Chapter 11 choice.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the rest.

Chapter 11 (What Will You Do About Puppy?):

Squashing Himiko's idea and hiring a trainer would've had Himiko get incredibly sad, but there would be no negatives out of it because it's a logical decision, and she can't fault your logic. Puppy/Violet would become incredibly well trained and would imprint onto Himiko properly, and Himiko would be able to take care of Puppy/Violet all by herself. The bad news is that this would be incredibly expensive, and coming home from New York, Nezu would cut you off from your credit card and expect Kazuha to pay him back so that she can learn to be responsible with money. As a result, in the break you have before beginning at U.A., you'll be limited to only options that make you money.

B (squashing the idea and training the dog yourselves) would've made Himiko assume that Kazuha didn't trust Himiko to care for Puppy/Violet. Puppy/Violet would've also imprinted onto Kaz and basically become her dog rather than Himiko's. It would lead to an overall increase in Himiko's happiness stat since Puppy/Violet would still be her dog by association, and she'd play with it often. Still, it neutralizes her independence gained from getting a puppy to begin with since it doesn't teach Himiko responsibility. This is the third best-trained dog and would not lead to complications in New York.

C is arguably the worst option and will, without question, cut into your trip. While Himiko does bond with Puppy/Violet, she does not have the training from Horie to translate into her own care of her dog. As a result, Himiko has no choice but to rely on Kazuha's help and loses confidence in herself, resulting in a -1 independence.

Picking D as you did, resulted in Himiko losing independence due to getting trained by Kazuha. However, Puppy/Violet is incredibly well-trained. This also led to the bonus choice in the next chapter, which would be necessary for determining Himiko's development moving forward. Lastly, this ended up causing some tension in your relationship with Nezu due to the plan. If this turns into something more, we'll have to see.

By picking E and joining Himiko as a dog, Puppy/Violet doesn't imprint onto Horie due to her just not being a good dog trainer. However, Violet bonds with both Himiko and Kazuha incredibly well, and Kazuha would, like Himiko, begin to understand Violet and is roughly able to translate Violet. You would still have to train her during your time in New York, though. Frankly, the best part would be Sayaka stealing Kazuha, getting an absolute kick out of this situation, and taking advantage of every second of it before your trip. Basically, the only downside is Kazuha getting embarrassed.

Chapter 12 (Which Dog Is Himiko?):

You picked correctly and suffered no adverse consequences. But if you did choose incorrectly, it would negatively affect Himiko's psyche. As a result, while Himiko's promiscuity would go up by 1, her independence and sanity would each go down by 1.

Chapter 12 (Who Would You Bunk With?):

Picking Himiko as your roommate would be an unoffensive option and make Himiko happy. This also leads to a boost in promiscuity as Kazuha and Himiko would officially take their relationship to the next level. There are no negatives with either Melissa or Horie since it's what they expected to happen.

Picking the living room sleepover only would've happened on the first night. After that, everyone would rotate who got to have Kazuha on what night far more consistently. As a result, there would not be a boost with or negative with anyone. A completely neutral option.

Picking to stay with Horie would cause Melissa to be disappointed. She wouldn't hate Kazuha for this, but you would seal off any opportunity to convince Melissa to attend U.A. rather than I-Island University. However, Himiko wouldn't have too much of a reaction, primarily because, in Himiko's mind, Kazuha stays with Horie all the time. Doesn't mean she wouldn't be a little disappointed, though, with how disappointed being related to if Violet has bonded with her. It would have been a -1 to her happiness if you didn't adopt Violet at all. However, picking Horie makes Horie feel special, meaning no change to your relationship with your sister.

Lastly, picking to stay with Melissa confuses Himiko. Again, her relationship with Violet determines Himiko's reaction. In the specific instance that you got, Himiko is okay with it, but only because it allows Himiko to be with Violet… though this also means Himiko is spending more time as a dog (the effects of which will be revealed later). On the other hand, Horie, while understanding Kazuha wants to stay with Himiko, is a bit peeved that she's gone from the third wheel to the fourth wheel. You'll always be her sister, but it is clear that this choice and the next choice were a turning point in your relationship with Horie. On the plus side, picking Melissa opened the door for Melissa to attend U.A.

Chapter 13 (Which Table Will You Sit At?)

This choice determines who will be Kazuha's main friend group during her time at Midtown Horizon High. By picking the seniors, Kazuha and Himiko will spend the semester, for the most part, getting to know the seniors (Miles, Gary, Jason, Rae, and Julius) rather than the juniors (Devin, Manny, Marianne, Ralphie, and Lee). That doesn't mean the juniors won't have time to shine, though, since you do share a class with them.

More importantly, this was effectively picking a side in the Horie vs Melissa debate, who if you haven't noticed, are somewhat rivals to one another. Since you picked Melissa as your roommate, she would not have minded too much if you sat with the juniors (especially since they're your classmates). If you had been Horie's roommate, then the opposite would have been true since she would understand you did come to the States to spend time with Melissa.

However, picking Melissa as your roommate AND sitting with the seniors is going to rub Horie the wrong way. As a result, Horie will not be sticking around for the summer hero camp, instead returning to Japan in order to get more training from Chiyo, which is just more practically useful for Horie.
