A/N A new chapter! :) Here ya go

The following morning at school, I searched for my friends to tell them what happened. I finally caught them hanging out by Hanna's locker.

"Spencer, Aria, Hanna" I called out and waved my arms to let my presence be known. They made their way towards me eager to know what information the

"Well, I didn't exactly tell her, " I began. "I just sort of got caught into the moment. I was angry."

Spencer rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Emily, are you scared of her?"

"No," I defended myself. "She was in the bathroom wrapping a bandage on her hand and then she said she didn't want to talk to me. She dropped her stuff and I helped her pick them up and she kept making digs at me for dating Paige."

"Wait, why was she in the bathroom putting a bandage on,' Hanna asked confused. "Like what happened to her?"

Spencer snapped her fingers in front of Hanna. "Hello, earth to Hanna. A bandage is not something we should be focused on right now!"

Before Hanna could respond, we could hear Alison's footsteps stomp on the hallway floor. We all turned around to see Alison wearing a pink satin dress with a denim jacket. She had her hair in a ponytail. I couldn't help but notice her bandage. She was strutting down the hallway with her minions in tow.

Feeling the courage, I walked up to her. "H-hey"

Alison stopped dead in her tracks and responded softly. "Hey, Em. I'm sorry for the way I talked to you yesterday, I was stressed out-"

I placed my hand on her shoulder. "You don't need to apologize. I know you are going through alot right now."

Alison smiled warmly. "Oh Em, you were always so empathic. That's why I love you… you were always my favorite."

My heart skipped a beat. "Thanks"

Alison's eyes met with mine before she murmured. "Well, I have to go. I'll catch you later?"

I nodded and smiled, forgetting the thing I was supposed to do. She slowly began to walk away. "Wait!" i grabbed her arm, making her turn around swiftly, giving me a confused look

"I need to talk to you…..alone" i whispered

Alison answered. "Sure. I'll see you at lunch."

I nodded my head and she walked away.

I walked over to the girls and said. "I'll have lunch with Ali at 12pm and then we'll talk."

The girls smiled and couldn't wait to find out if Alison was behind the threats.

I was sitting at the lunch table, early awaiting Alison's arrival. I checked myself in the mirror making sure I looked somewhat decent.

"Hey" A voice bellowed. I looked up and found the beautiful blonde girl standing before me..

"You wanted to talk?" Alison studied my face curiously, it seemed like she couldn't trust me.

I took a deep breath and spoke. "Are you the one sending threatening text messages to the girls?"

Alison's eyes grew wide. "W-what do you mean?"

"Look, don't play dumb with me," I replied, making my voice more bold. "If you are the one sending me text messages because you went-"

"You mean texts like these?" Alison pulled out her phone and showed me the same exact text that we got two days ago. "I've been getting these."

"Has A done anything to you?" I asked , growing concerned.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. I was in the girls locker room to get ready for gym class. Suddenly, someone slammed the locker on my hand. As soon as I turn around, someone in a black hoodie and mask pushes me to the ground. Then I get a text saying "if i tell the school faculty, he could kill me."

"Look," Alison began. "I know I probably did deserve it. I let a lot of things happen that shouldn't have happened.

"Alison," I begged, ignoring her statement. I didn't know if she truly meant it or not. "Do you know who could be doing this to us?"

"Not a clue!" Alison winced.

Suddenly our phone buzzed and we picked it up to read the text message.

Alison and Emily together again? I don't like this, i'll kill you two.

We glanced at our phones, looked at each other and froze."

"We have to tell the girls." Alison broke her silence

"You need to apologize to them," I informed her. "You weren't the greatest friend to us."

Alison nodded. "Come tell the girls to come over to my place tonight and so we can settle this once and for all. If this is happening to all 5 of us. We need to work together as a team so we can beat A. Clearly, this person doesn't like all of us, I guess in particular you and I are together."

"I will"

Alison stood up from her seat. "Well I have to go, I'll see you later at 6."

"Ok"

The blonde girl stood up, turned away and looked at me again. "Hey, Em…..It's nice that we are talking again."

My heart jumped at her comment. "I missed you."

"I missed you too"

After school, all 5 of us were sprawled around Alison's pink bedroom. Alison sat in her bed with her legs crossed. Spencer and Aria sat at the bay window, Hanna sat on Alison's computer desk and then I made myself comfy at the pink bean bag that stood next to Alison's front door.

We all were sitting in silence and I must admit, I missed how it used to be with 5 of us.

Alison began, breaking the awkward silence. "When i was in jail, i was thinking what did i do to deserve this?"

Spencer let out a small chuckle in disbelief in how Ali wondered what she could have possibly done to land her in jail.. Aria elbowed her and glared at her.

"I honestly thought I was helping you girls by telling you what to wear, how to act, who to like. And then when you stopped listening. I found new people who would," Alison continued on. "Being in jail, no one listens to me. I can't even decide what to wear, what to eat and when to shower. I'm told everything, everything's in order and I never realized how bad that felt. To be on the other side of that..so i'm sorry."

Alison's voice cracked and let a tear fall. "Do you think that maybe we could start over?"

"I don't know!" Hanna's voice trailed off, unsure of what to really say..

"But maybe we can try," Aria suggested, looking at the others.

The three of us looked at Spencer who sighed and responded. "Look, Ali, if this is going to work. You need to treat us like a real friend would. We don't want to be puppets anymore.

"Duely Noted" Alison responded.

"You don't know what the hell we've been through with all the press and everything because of the stunt you pulled." i mentioned.

Alison wiped her tears off her face and let out a small smile.

"But there's one more person who you need to apologize to," I said carefully, not to mention her name. But I knew Ali would know who I was talking about.

"Okay" Alison agreed, biting her lip. I could tell she was getting nervous, I don't think admitting that she was wrong was her strongest suit. But I could tell she was trying.

"Okay, now that everything is settled," Spencer said "We know who A is. We need to figure out who this person is, and why are they torturing us?"

"It's not that hard to figure out," Alison admitted. "I made my own dirty messes. But the truth is, I've done a lot of things that I may not be proud of.

"Because then it's hard to pin-point exactly who it is," I finished for her.

She looked at me and smiled embarrassingly. "Exactly"

All of a sudden, a rock came bashing through the window and it shattered. We all screamed in fright. The broken pieces falling on both Spencer and Aria.

I looked at Alison, her eyes widened in fear and she looked at me. Bravely, she got up from her bed and picked the rock up.

"You are getting closer to the truth. Buckle up because this is gonna be a wild ride-A" She read aloud

Alison looked up from the rock and looked at us. "Well, I guess i'm the one that A wants.." She declared..

The five of us looked at each other in shock and frightened. This was seriously getting more out of hand. I wanted to know who was torturing us and why. I was scared for our safety but i couldn't help feeling worried about Alison's safety.
