Chapter 4: Eclipse (1/4)
(Raccoon City University)
"Elza, please hurry up!" Yoko rushed her from outside.
"I'm coming, just hold on a bit!" Elza Walker had to make her way back to Raccoon City University in a hurry in order to encounter Yoko. She was getting dressed in a hurry to accompany her friend on the trip to the lab. "Done, let's go." She spoke once she was done.
"What?" Yoko seemed surprised. "You took that long to put on the exact same clothes?"
"Different jeans, different shoes and different T-shirts." Elza informed her as she pointed at each piece of clothing. "Only the jacket is the same."
Yoko sighed in clear annoyance. "It doesn't matter, let's go."
But before the two girls could leave, the telephone inside of Elza's room started to ring. "Hold up." And the blond immediately moved to answer.
"Elza!" Yoko was clearly in a hurry.
"Just a second." She replied as she picked the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, it's me." It was Roger. "I'm just calling to tell you that the guy was arrested and Cindy just went home after pressing charges." He informed her.
"Great, did you find out anything about the guy?" She asked in curiosity.
"Yes, but I'll tell you later." Roger also seemed to be in a hurry. "Listen, I will be going on a mission with the team, so I will probably not be home today so..."
"Elza!" Yoko hurried her.
"I'm coming!" Elza yelled at her friend. "Be careful, alright."
"Always, see you when I get back." Roger assured her. "Love you."
"Love you, love you, love you..." Elza said it back before she hung up the phone. I hope this isn't anything serious. "Go! Go! Go!" The blond rushed towards the door of her room and pushed Yoko, before shutting the door behind her.
(Arklay Mountains)
"Alright, a final recap of everything before we begin." Enrico Marini, the team leader of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team and Vice-Captain of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service under Captain Albert Wesker, spoke to everyone. "The Ecliptic Express, a limited express train service used by Umbrella USA for transporting its employees between cities, has been attacked." He gave the details to everyone present. "We have the suspicion that the culprit of the attack was Billy Coen, a U.S. Marine Corps Second Lieutenant-turned death-row inmate that escaped into the Arklay Mountains after the military transport vehicle escorting him was mysteriously forced off the road."
"Captain," Dr. Kenneth J. Sullivan, The S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team's point man and in charge of reconnaissance and position security, raised his hand to ask a question. "What exactly is the reason behind the suspicion?"
"Coen was actually hiding in Racoon City." Roger, who was sitting besides Rebecca, decided to speak. "I worked alongside a private detective by the name of Ark Thompson under Captain Wesker's orders to investigate Coen's presence in the city." He began to explain the course of his and Ark's investigation. "Coen participated in a robbery with two other criminals named Nathan Donnelly and Samuel Kirk, Kirk actually informed us of Coen's plan of escaping the city by boarding the Eclipse Express."
"Umm..." Richard Aiken ,the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team communications expert, raised his hand. "Are you sure that guy was a reliable source of information?" That was an understandable concern, since Samuel Kirk was nothing more than a scummy criminal.
"Detective Ark and I actually managed to locate Coen and we attempted to apprehend him." Roger pointed at the bruise on his forehead. "As you can see, it didn't go too well." He was actually quite ashamed of what happened. "And the very same train that Kirk spoke about being attacked soon after Coen's escape is just too much of a coincidence." That part was obvious.
"Regardless of Coen's involvement or not, we must investigate the cause of this attack." The Bravo Team's Captain continued. "We will be landing not far away from the rails where the train is currently located, our mission is to investigate what happened there and if our suspicion is correct, capture the escaped inmate, Billy Coen."
The truth was, the Bravo Team was currently inside a Bell UH-1 Iroquois, flying out into a section of the Arklay Mountains several miles northwest of the city.
"Lincoln, you were not supposed to be in here since you're not part of this team, but Captain Wesker told me to bring you along, so you're under my command and will do as I say." Enrico told Roger, not in an authoritarian way. "Once we land, I want you and Chambers to investigate the train and look for survivors." Those were his instructions.
Despite the two of them being the rookies of the teams, Rebecca was the medic of the team while Roger was the Marksman, so that team-up made sense.
"Captain, do you think Coen could still be on the train?" Rebecca asked him.
"Honestly, anyone in their right mind would have taken off as soon as the train stopped." Enrico pointed out to Rebecca. "But the possibility of him still hiding inside the train can't be dismissed, so I want all of you on high alert." The possibility wasn't exactly unreasonable, since the train stopped in the middle of a forest.
"If we find him there, how exactly are we supposed to proceed?" Richard asked the captain.
"If his presence on the train is confirmed, inform the team immediately and if he poses a threat, shoot to kill." Those were his instructions. "If the profile that was provided by Detective Thompson is accurate, he is a very dangerous individual and no chances should be taken. "
Everyone on Team Bravo and Roger nodded in agreement as they awaited for the helicopter to land.
"I didn't get the chance to ask but..." Rebecca, who was sitting beside him, asked him a question. "Are you okay?" Since she probably heard about what happened in Jack's Bar.
"Well, my pride is certainly harmed because Coen got the drop on me because of dumb mistake." Seriously, why the hell didn't I check the bathtub?! That was like... The second most cliche place anyone could hide! Only behind hiding under the bed. "Then there was the mess that happened at Jack's bar."
"What exactly happened there anyway?" Richard asked in curiosity.
"Me and my girlfriend were having some drinks while watching a Pro-Wrestling match on the TV there." Roger proceeded to explain. "Then the waitress, who is a friend of ours, told us that this creepy guy has been following her since morning, so we stayed there to keep an eye on him." Roger adjusted the GSX watch that Barry gave him before he left with the team. "And then closing time came and the guy continued there until the bartender told him to leave."
"Did he do something?" Rebecca asked him.
"No, he just stood up and left, but the bartender told the waitress that he had to leave to go to a birthday party or something." I wonder if he already heard the news of what happened there. "So my girlfriend and I decided to stay for the night, because the poor girl was terrified."
"You did the right thing, she would have been an easy target otherwise." Enrico pointed out the obvious.
"However, while my girlfriend and I were sleeping," With Cindy of course. Roger had to resist an urge to blush because the image of Cindy's large chest appeared on his mind. "I heard a noise and went to check it out just to find some creepy old guy wearing a hat in the middle of the room, with him pulling out a single shot gun on me."
"What happened next?" Rebecca asked in deep curiosity, the rest of the team seemed very curious as well.
"I distracted the guy by asking him a bunch of unnecessary questions while my girlfriend sneaked behind him and smashed his head with a bottle of Whiskey." Who knew Elza was a hidden badass. "Then I-" Before Roger could continue the story, the pilot interrupted him.
"Arriving shortly at our destination. Edward Dewey, the pilot, informed everyone.
"Alright, you all know what to do." Enrico spoke to the team. "I want you all on high alert and remember, if Coen is indeed there and poses a threat, shoot to kill."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Roger simply pulled out his Samurai Edge in order to inspect it. Barry did tell me that Kendo could make some customizations to it if I wanted. Roger was sincerely considering the idea and tried to come up with something interesting to do with the handgun.
As he inspected his handgun, he also checked his uniform. Roger was wearing his S.T.A.R.S uniform. He only wore it briefly to show Elza and now he would have to wear it on a mission. Though, he ended up adding a cap to his uniform, a blue cap that had the S.T.A.R.S symbol on it. "Thanks for the cap." Rebecca was the one that gave it to him.
"The hair may get on the way, so it's better to have something to keep it in place." Rebecca pointed at her red headband. "So ummm... Tell me, do you actually think Coen attacked the train?" Since Roger is the only one of them that actually came into contact with him.
"Honestly, I don't think so." He admitted. "Coen wanted to use the train to escape, so I highly doubt that he would gain anything by attacking it." It really didn't make any sense to Roger. "So I think this was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time." Coen just came out to him as a pragmatic individual and he wouldn't risk his freedom like this.
"Whatever it is, we have to investigate." Richard spoke afterwards. "If it really wasn't Coen then it was something or someone else."
"Exactly." Roger agreed with him.
"Oh shit!" Everyone, who was sitting tight waiting for the chopper to land, was startled by the pilot's sudden cursing. "Hold up to everyone!" Out of nowhere, the helicopter started to shake, causing everyone to nearly fall off their seats.
"Edward, what the hell is going on!?" Enrico asked the pilot as he moved towards his seat and held tightly to it.
"Something is wrong with the engine, I can't stabilize it!" Edward yelled in response as he attempted to regain control of it.
"Dammit!" Enrico moved his head to look at the rest of the team. "Everyone, hold on to something!" He ordered them.
"Emergency landing!" Edward was visibly desperate as he searched for a safe spot to land the out of control chopper.
Roger could only look out the window as he saw the dark and dense forest. With the helicopter shaking uncontrollably, the Bravo Team and Roger were all forced to hold on as Edward attempted to do an emergency landing.
"Check the current position and investigate the surrounding area." As soon as they made an emergency landing in the forest. The Bravo Team and Roger left the chopper and followed Captain Enrico's orders.
Roger held his Samurai Edge in a thumbs up grip. Searching around the area alongside the rest of the team. This is not a good sign. Because the chopper crashing like this just cannot be a sign of good luck.
"This way." Rebecca signalled him to follow her. Roger didn't have much of a choice since he had no flashlight on him, while Rebecca had one attached to her Samurai Edge.
"Arklay Mountains..." Roger couldn't help but mention something. "If I recall correctly , there have been several reports of cannibalistic murders around here."
"And you thought this was the best time to mention that?" Rebecca spoke apprehensively considering that the two were in the middle of a dark forest.
"Yes, because that means we need to be extra alert." If there is more danger, they need to be prepared.
"Of that, I agree with you." The auburn haired girl replied.
The two of them slowly moved through a path that had several trees surrounding it. With Roger looking in every direction, because he has the feeling that some animal may come out of the woods and attack them. "Is this your first mission?" He decided to ask Rebecca.
"Kind of, I did accompany the team in an operation before. " She admitted to him. "But it was more of a training drill."
"So you're as clueless as I am." Roger replied as he walked behind her. "That's actually a little reassuring."
She gave him a confused look. "How so?"
"I don't have to worry about screwing up in front of you." Roger admitted with a smile.
Rebecca smiled back. "Oh, but you do, I happen to have high standards." She joked.
"I'll bet... You seem like someone who is hard to please." Roger couldn't help but comment that while checking Rebecca out.
Rebecca, however, seems to have caught the double meaning behind his words. "You're nasty." Though, she didn't seem to be angry at him.
"I just tell what I see." Roger spoke with a smug, however that smug disappeared as soon as he saw what was ahead of them. "Look." He pointed forward to show Rebecca.
Rebecca moved her head to look at where Roger was pointing. "Is that..." Right ahead of them, there was an train
"The Eclipse Express." Roger pointed out as there was no way that wasn't it.
Rebecca pulled out her radio and made a call. "This is Rebecca, the Eclipse Express is located north of the zone we crashed over." She informed the rest of the team.
"Copy that, proceed with the investigation, over." Captain Enrico ordered them.
Rebecca nodded before moving her head to look at Roger. "Ready?" She asked him.
"Ready." He prepared his Samurai Edge up and slowly moved towards the train with Rebecca following behind him.
Slowly, the two of them approached the train and the first thing that was noticed by the two, was the awful smell. "Ahhh..." Rebecca grunted as she pinched her nose. "What is this?"
"Hmmm..." Roger covered his nose as well, because the smell was truly awful. "Whatever is, it cannot be good." The Rookies couldn't identify what that smell was.
It got worse as they finally reached one of the doors of the locomotive. With a frown in his face, Roger slowly opened the door that led into the train compartments.
"Jesus Christ." The smell just got worse, but they ignored and proceeded to make their way into the train.
Taking slow steps, Roger and Rebecca slowly stepped into the compartment. Despite the awful smell, everything seemed to be in place. But the two S.T.A.R.S had a bad feeling about this, so Roger signalled Rebecca towards the door that led to a different carriage to continue to investigate.
A thunder came from outside, indicating that rain was starting. "Great..." He commented sarcastically.
"Afraid of lightning?" Rebecca asked him l.
"Usually not, but being inside a train with a dangerous criminal on the loose is certainly not the time that I would like a thunderstorm to happen." Roger responded with a sarcastic remark.
"Yeah..." Rebecca decided to stop talking and simply proceeded with their investigation.
Once they were in front of the door, Roger slowly slided open and the duo entered the compartment. The smell was clearly coming from there and the two of them were quickly to investigate further.
Rebecca was about to speak up, probably to search for civilians. But Roger immediately signalled her to be quiet, as they didn't want to warn anyone of their presence.
Roger went forward with Rebecca watching his back, but once he reached the middle of the carriages. He moved his head to the left. "Jesus Christ..." That was all he could say.
Rebecca moved her head and ended up gasping at the sight.
There was a dead body on one of the seats. Roger approached to look closely. "Wait," And after a short inspection, he could tell that something was off. "It looks like this man has been dead for a while." The was a thirty-something man wearing a suit, but what stood out about him was the fact that his body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
"But, this train was either attacked yesterday or the day before." Rebecca pointed out, which was the reason why that was strange. "That's nowhere near enough time for a body to reach that level of decomposition." Roger already knew that, but hearing Rebecca confirm it only added to the strangeness.
"What the hell-" Roger turned his head to look at Rebecca to express his confusion. Only to stop mid sentence and widened his eyes at the sight of what was behind Rebecca.
Rebecca noticed and immediately turned around. Only to gasp at the sight.
Standing right in front of the door that they used to enter, was some kind of monster. It looked like a man, who's whole body seemed to be in an advanced state of decomposition. "Ahhh..." The monster grunted and began to approach the duo.
"Stay back." Rebecca ordered as she pointed her handgun at it.
Roger on the other hand, immediately opened fire, firing two shots on the monster's head. The first shot didn't do anything, but the second one caused it to fall backwards into the floor.
"What the-" Rebecca immediately turned around to question Roger, only to widen her eyes. "Behind you!"
Roger turned around instantly, only to see two more monsters walking towards them. Before he could take aim, however, the dead body that he was inspecting a few seconds ago, stood up from the seat.
"Ahhh..." Letting out a strange grunt as it grabbed Roger's arm.
"Ah!" Roger let out a startled scream, before he yanked his arm off the monster's grip and proceeded to shoot it's head.
"Back up!" Rebecca told Roger as she also took aim and proceeded to fire at the other two monsters.
Roger backed up and stood beside Rebecca. However, he realized that there were more of them. "Dammit!" Roger yelled as he saw three more of them standing up from their seats and moving towards them. So he grabbed Rebecca's arm and pulled her towards the door that led to the next compartment while simultaneously firing at the two that were in front of it.
Rebecca yanked her arm off Roger's grip and proceeded to fire at the three that were coming their way.
But once Roger managed to kill the two that were blocking the way to the door. "Come on!" He yelled to the Bravo Team's Medic as he opened the door.
Who continued to fire at the three monsters. Not as accurately as Roger, but she landed a considerable amount of shots at the torso of one of the monsters . After five shots, it fell forward into the floor but the rest kept approaching them. Causing Rebecca to finally turn around and run to the other compartment. With Roger locking the door behind them.
"What the hell were those things?!" Rebecca asked as she aimed at the door in an Isosceles Shooting Stance.
"No idea." Roger stepped away from the door and inspected the room that they were in. "I think they were Zombies." They seemed to be in a carriage with bedrooms.
"Zombies?" Rebecca asked in confusion since she didn't know what that was.
"Reanimated dead bodies." Roger explained as he checked to see if there's more of them. "In Haitian Folklore, they are said to be reanimated by necromancers for use as slave labor."
"Are you being serious?" Rebecca asked him as she continued to carefully point her Samurai Edge at the door. "Necromancers?" She was a Medic, who clearly didn't believe in things like dark magic.
"I don't know about the necromancer part, but those things were definitely rotting corpses that just stood up and attacked us." Roger had no doubt about that, because anyone could tell that those things were in an advanced state of decomposition that you would only find in a dead body.
"We don't know for sure." Rebecca tried to propose that since it didn't make any sense. Until the face of one of them appeared at the door window, a face which the skin was completely falling apart. "Jesus Christ, how is that possible?!" She asked in clear disbelief as she stepped away from the door.
"No idea, but that's really not important." Roger pointed out. "Warn the rest of the Team before they get an unpleasant surprise."
Rebecca nodded in agreement before grabbing her radio. "Bravo Team, this Rebecca Chambers, over." She called out for the team. However, there was no answer. "Bravo Team, please respond, over." But what they heard was static.
"Not a good sign." Roger couldn't help but comment. "Come on, let's keep moving." Holding his Samurai Edge even tighter, the Rookie signalled the Medic to follow him.
"Do you think that's a good idea?" Because that didn't seem to be a safe place to explore.
Roger's response was to move his head to the Zombie that was bashing the door of the carriage with it rubbing it's face at the door 's glass, leaving a trail of blood as it's rotten face seemed to be peeling off. "Yes." Roger then responded while holding his urge to vomit at the sight.
Rebecca clearly had the same urge as she looked away. Moving away from the door, Roger Lincoln and Rebecca Chambers moved through the small corridor with their weapons ready. There were two doors in there, and Roger carefully checked to see what was behind them.
"Bedrooms." He informed Rebecca as he looks at the messy room. There was a corpse there, but that one seemed dead. So Roger closed the door and inspected the other. Which was just another messy room, but no bodies in there.
"We really need to find the others." Rebecca told him as he closed the door.
"They are all armed and capable, don't worry too much." Roger pointed out and some of them were better armed than them, who only had pistols.
The two of them then reached a small corner, turning to the right and then turning to the left again, reaching another corridor that had windows on it. The light of the thunder could be seen through the window. With Roger looking outside and only seeing darkness outside that coupled with the heavy rain.
There's something off... Roger thought as he looked outside.
Though, he didn't notice that Rebecca moved past him, towards the end of the corridor. "Roger..." Rebecca called him, causing Roger to move his head to look at her, before approaching it.
There, he saw the door that led to the next carriage, but right in front of it. There was a dead body sitting on the floor and leaning on the wall. Unlike the other dead bodies, that one seemed to have been dead recently.
Roger approached and dropped to one knee to inspect it closely. "This one seems fresh."
"It is fresh, he died a few hours at most." Rebecca pointed out and Roger accepted since it was clearly her medical opinion. "It seems to be one of the train employers." Judging by his uniform.
Roger inspected the body closely and realized something. "He was shot." He found a bullet wound in his chest.
"What a great guess, genius." Suddenly, Roger heard a familiar voice and immediately stood up and turned around. Only to catch the sight of Rebecca looking terrified as someone pointed a Magnum Revolver to her head. "Drop the gun." The individual was none other than Billy Coen, armed with a Taurus Raging Bull that he was aiming at Rebecca's head.
Roger pointed his Samurai Edge at them after Rebecca dropped hers and put her hands up.
"You again?" Coen recognized Roger. "Don't you have anything better to do than follow me around, kid?"
"What the hell happened here?!" That was Roger's major concern at the moment. "Did you have something to do with this?" He doubted that Coen was some type of Necromancer that could bring dead bodies back to life.
"Kid, no offense, but should have stayed home with dollface." He was referring to Rebecca. "Unload the gun and then drop it on the floor.." He ordered the Rookie as he pressed the barrel of the revolver at Rebecca's head.
"Don't do it!" Rebecca told Roger, only for Coen to push the barrel on her head.
"Now." Coen made it clear that he wasn't playing around.
Roger could only sigh in deep frustration before pressing the magazine release and dropping the mag on the floor, before he tossed him unloaded Samurai Edge on the floor.
"Nice..." Coen spoke, before he smashed the back of Rebecca's head with the bottom of the revolver.
"Hey!" With Rebecca being knocked out right away and falling forward, only for Roger to grab her before she fell on the floor. "What the hell did you do that for?!" The Rookie asked angrily as he gently placed the unconscious Medic on the floor.
"Take a wild guess, Kid." Coen spoke sarcastically before he stepped back while aiming at Roger.
"You didn't have anything to do with what happened here, did you?" Roger asked as he stood up.
"Nope, I was simply taking a ride here, I was hiding in the Conductor's room when whatever the hell killed everyone happened." Billy spoke with a lot of apathy towards everyone that died there. "But I'm pretty sure that you will all blame me for this as well."
"What are yo-'' Roger was about to ask what exactly he meant by that. But before he could. Loud sounds of gunfire could be heard by them, and so were the muzzle flashes coming from the window, indicating that it was happening right outside.
Both Billy and Roger moved their heads to see where it was coming from. However, Roger immediately moved his head back to Billy as he realized that was his chance. So before Billy had any time to react, Roger charged at him and tackled the fugitive, pushing him towards the wall, colliding with the spot right besides one of the windows. The S.T.A.R.S member immediately tried to grab the revolver off the former Marine's hand, with him firing his weapon accidentally and the sound echoed through the corridor, with both clearly suffering tinnitus as a result.
But Roger fought through it and hammerfisted Billy's wrist, causing him to open his hand and drop the Magnum Revolver on the floor. However, Billy quickly recovered and kneed Roger in the gut, but Roger quickly responded by wrapping his arms around him in a bodylock position and performing a belly-to-belly suplex. "Ahh!" With Billy grunting as soon as Roger flips him over by violently bridging his own body with Billy landing on his back and Roger getting into a side control position.
Unfortunately, before Roger could do anything, Billy grabbed Roger's hair, which was now exposed since his cap fell when he tackled Billy, and harsly pulled it before he kneed him in the face. Pushing Roger off of him right after the knee landed.
Once Roger was off of him,Billy rolled to the left and stood up. Roger, who fell on his back after getting pushed, immediately performed a Kip-up to get up from the floor.
Wasting no time, Roger put his hands up and immediately charged towards Billy once again. Coen also got his hands up, but did not attempt any sort of defense when Roger attacked by delivering a cross to his face, followed by a left hook and then an uppercut. All three punches landed perfectly and he attempted to finish with a left roundhouse kick to his face. Which Billy finally defended by simply moving his head back and evading the kick. However, he had no response to Roger following with a right spinning heel kick that landed perfectly on his temple. But Coen took the kick quite well and simply stumbled backwards after receiving it.
Roger then decided to continue, so he delivered a left feint punch, followed by a right hook. Unfortunately, Billy was actually able to parry his punch with his forearm before grabbing Roger by his vest and headbutting him on the nose. Then the Fugitive pushed the Rookie into one of the windows, breaking it upon impact.
The only thing that kept Roger from getting thrown outside, was the fact that he held on to the window's jambs. With the cold wind and even colder rain drops falling on him as Coen tried to push him through the window.
Despite his best efforts, Billy was able to make Roger lose his grip, but fortunately, he was able to keep himself from falling by wrapping his legs around Billy's waist , grabbing the back of his head as soon as the hold was tight.
The fugitive, in an attempt to make the Rookie let go, lifted Roger up by grabbing his vest, clearly looking to try to slam Roger into the edge of the window. But that turned out to be a mistake, because as soon as Billy lifted Roger enough, the S.T.A.R.S member let go of his head and grabbed the head of the window.
Once he had a strong grip, Roger grabbed the back of Billy's head with his left hand while holding the upper part of the window with his right, using his new position to wrap his legs from his waist and wrapped around his neck, placing Billy Coen in a triangle choke. With Roger delivering several downward elbows to his head as soon as he managed to hold it tightly.
After four elbow strikes to the top of his head, Coen pulled Roger off the window, however, he still had the hold tight. Until Billy lifted Roger up and slammed him at full force into the floor. "Ahhh!" With Roger feeling every bit of the impact, and unintentionally letting go of the triangle hold.
Fortunately, Roger was able to place his right foot on Billy's chest, which he used to push Billy off of him before he could mount any sort of offense towards him.
Roger immediately rolled backwards to stand up while Billy stumbled backwards but didn't fall down. Wasting no time, Roger charged towards Billy once again and delivered a Dropkick at the fugitive. The impact caused Billy to fall backwards and land on the broken glass from the window that he tried to toss Roger from.
Roger fell on the floor after the kick, but immediately stood up and approached Billy once again. With the former Marine turning around and placing his hand on the wall, using it as a support to stand up.
"You're under arrest, Coen." Roger declared as he almost closed the distance once again.
"No thanks," Coen replied sarcastically while having his back turned. "I'm done with handcuffs."
Roger simply rolled his eyes and attempted to grab Coen. "AAHH!" Only for the man to turn around and stab Roger in the arm, causing him to lean on the wall to keep himself from falling on the floor. Widening his green eyes, Roger realized that Coen had grabbed one of the pieces of glass from the broken window and stabbed him in the bicep with it. "Goddammit!" The young man yelled as he pulled the piece of glass off his arm. "Ammm..."
As Roger grunted in pain, Billy turned around once again and proceeded to move towards the end of the corridor. With Roger widening his green eyes as he realized that Coen was going towards the Magnum Revolver. Causing the S.T.A.R.S member to do the same thing and immediately rush towards the end of the corridor where the revolver was located. Sadly, Billy simply reached the weapon first and immediately picked up, but as he turned around to aim, he saw Roger diving forward and landing on the floor on his right.
The moment Billy moved to the right to point the Magnum Revolver at Roger, he was greeted by a gunshot to the chest. As it turns out, Roger actually jumped in order to grab Rebecca's Samurai Edge.
Billy Coen widened his eyes in response to what just happened. And could only move his head down to see the bullet hole on his chest. "Seriously...?" He asked that to someone, though it was clearly not Roger.
It only took a few seconds for Coen to drop the revolver, before falling on the floor right in front of Roger. With the Rookie panting heavily as that was incredibly close. Sorry, but I ain't entering the list of people Claire Redfield lost. Roger thought as he really didn't want to add a dead boyfriend to go alongside dead parents. With that, Roger sat up while grabbing on to his bleeding arm. Dammit, I'm gonna need Rebecca to take a look at this. He moved his head to look at the unconscious Medic. "Rebecca..."
However, before Roger could try to wake Rebecca up, something happened.
"What the?!" He was startled by something coming through one of the windows. The one right besides the broken one that Coen attempted to toss him from. "Holy shit..." With the Rookie realizing that it was one of the members of the Bravo Team. Wasting no time, he stood up and approached him. "Edward?!" It was Edward Dewey, the Bravo Team's pilot. The man seemed to be heavily injured.
"Ahh..." The Pilot leaned on the wall right below the window.
"What the hell happened?!" Roger asked in deep concern as he kneeled down to inspect the man.
"It's worse than.w..we can't..y..you must be careful, Roger." The man spoke to him with a lot of difficulty. Just by looking at him, Roger could tell that his injuries were fatal. "The forest is full of monsters." He warned him.
"The whole forest?" Roger asked him in deep worry.
"Ughh, ahhhhhhh..." Roger could only look away as Edward succumbed to his wounds.
"Shit..." With him cursing in response as the man died in front of him.
But then, out of nowhere, something else entered the train through the same window. "Huh?" Roger moved his head to see what it was, only to widened his dark green eyes once agains as he saw what it was. A large dog, but the animal's flesh was rotting and the bones were exposed.
The beast growls and starts to move towards Roger.
Q and A:
Okay very important question now since Elza mentioned Roger has a fondness for girls in cosplay in the bedroom what's his favourite cosplay that a girl could wear we talking School girl, Cat girl, sexy nurse, maid, bunny girl, dog girl, fox girl etc etc my money is school girl cosplay haha
With Fiona possibly turning up be nice if she turns up after the events of RE1 she meets Roger not only to thank him for taking down her lunatic uncle but she could ask if he's okay with her writing a story based off his experience then after hopefully really hitting it off with Roger she leaves Raccoon city but stays in touch then after the events of RE2 Roger and his lady loves could crash at Fiona's mansion
I say mansion because she could have sold that castle of her uncles making her easily a millionaire
Also if Fiona is in this hope at some point she just wears the famous cream coloured silk sheet in a scene with Roger and maybe some other girls haha that also has her drop said sheet to the floor haha
By the way with Rose hope in this growing up she had a bit easier of a time due to the influence of Roger and the girls basically she has some friends and doesn't resent her powers the nightmare could just stem from her getting to close to the seed due to curiosity and getting sucked in not due to her thinking it's a way to remove her powers
Really a downside for Rose could be having to hear how hot her friends find Roger and Sherry could relate to her on this point haha
Oh yeah for the events of RE5 hope due to Rogers influence on the story Wesker doesn't have himself a brainwashed enforcer so for the events of that game Roger has Sheva and at least Jill with him
Well that is if Wesker is able to survive to that point haha
Been meaning to say with the mysterious Ada Wong hope for some fun even if she remains mostly a mystery still it be funny if she still casually lives with Roger and the others she just kinda comes and goes so picture Roger wakes up goes to the kitchen to make a cup of tea and Ada is just there waiting for him with said tea and he just kisses her and says something like hey Ada nice to have you back
Wrong... It's sexy nurse...
Actually, not exactly, the Fiona here is different from the one from Haunting Ground.
Rose will be slightly different and that's all that I'm going to say.
Well...
Don't worry about it.
Maybe not...
Kind of hard to imagine that but I get what you're saying.
Haha! Loved the references.
Clock Tower as a Slasher Film.
Haunting Ground as a novel based on true events.
Street Fighter is still a video game.
Are you gonna make more of those? Because I like it.
More or less...
Well Done,
thanks...
It's such an interesting debut ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡) that I can't quite keep up with Finally going into the events of chapter zero, I'm excited to read the next chapter \(ᵔ︠͜ʖ ︡ᵔ)/
- How much will the events in this version of zero differ from the original? ( ͠ ͟ʖ ͡)
- Among the members of the s.t.a.r team, who did Roger most admire and dislike the most? ( ͡ - ͡)
- Will Angela Miller play a role in the future? Or is she just an extra? -
- Will twins with different looks and nationalities like jade and billie play a role in the future? (I'm joking about this, you don't have to answer, but it's fine if you answer) (*o)乂(-*)
And in case I don't see ya, good afternoon good evening and good night!
I'm glad to hear that.
Well, you already saw the first change, Billy Coen is dead.
Probably Barry, and certanly Wesker.
Both, if that makes any sense.
Nope...
Same.
Hm let's Cindy in a sexy bunny outfit yep great way to start the chapter
Followed by a threesome that started off with Roger fucking Cindy doggy style with Elza underneath also great
Creepy old fuck watching them stopped it from being perfect
Still glad Roger had a very easy time bringing down Ricardo
After this can see Cindy wanting to move in really with Roger and Elza and that's a good thing
Yep Rogers record is even more impressive now that his third arrest is a serial killer
Plus I can see Fiona wanting to get in contact with Roger to thank him… also would be nice if that lead to some fucking haha
It's great having Jill and Roger properly together in a scene and eager for more of their future interactions
Sure nothing bad whatsoever will happen on the train Wesker is going to send Roger to
Preview wise so happy Rose is in the harem
Little tweaks I suggest making first when Rose mentions who'd skin her for leaving Roger behind considering the amount of women he'd be with at that point I'd have her say if I come back from this without you Elza, Claire, Sherry to name a few would skin me and who knows what the likes of Ada or the vampires would try
The other tweak is when he spots the face eater the arm that's not holding a gun would go around Rose protectively with the side benefit of Rose being then able to shift herself to that his hand is cupping her ass
Plus maybe have him remember what Zoe told him
Also regardless of how tired Roger is or was to be more accepted with her family I don't think he'd be the type to hold that against Rose and just in general I'd have him show he's happy being around Rose
Like don't have him be annoyed with Rose in the slightest if anything he could be annoyed at that Bastard masquerading as his good friend the Duke
I'm glad to hear that.
Haha...
Agreed.
It's a middle-aged guy with not combat experience.
Nah, she's good now, though, she might invite them over reguarly.
All accidentally.
Unfortunately no...
More of it at the Mansion...
Nothing bad at all...
Rose only knows them, so it kind of makes sense that she mostly mentions them.
It wasn't really the time or place to do that...
Roger wasn't exactly conciouss when she said it.
(Explanation: In here, Mya is actually Jack and Marguerite Baker daughter, and Lucas and Zoe's older sister. And Ethan was the guy that killed Roger's father, which is why Roger has a particular dislike for them, despite knowing what his father did.)
Roger actually hates being around Rose, but that will change later.
Obrigado pelo capítulo incrível Autor-San!
De nada...
Is Sherry going to be part of harem too or do they have more of a father daughter relationship? Either one is fine with me.
This might answer your question:
{
Sherry: No way!
Chris: Listen, as much as I hate to ask, he's the only one that can reach it in time.
Sherry: I don't care! You already put Roger in enough danger today.
Chris: (Touches his face in frustration.) My god, you're worse than Claire.
Sherry: Good, because she would be just as angry at you for wanting to put Daddy into more danger.
Chris: (Shocked) Did you just call him Daddy?!
Sherry: He is my Daddy now, remember?
Chris: I know that he is technically your legal guardian, but it's a little strange for a girl your age to call him that.
Sherry: Claire calls him that at times and she's older than me.
Chris: (Grunts in deep frustration after hearing that.)
Sherry: Though, he doesn't let me kiss him on the lips like she does.
Chris: Please stop talking.
Sherry: Elza said that maybe he will let me when I grow up a bit more, but I don't understand why do I have to wait.
Chris: Please shut up.
Sherry: I mean, they don't even let me participate in the costume party that they have on their room at times.
Chris: STOP, TALKING, NOW!
Sherry: (Giggled in response because she just said all of that to tease him.) But seriously though, don't put my Daddy in any more danger, Chris.
