A/N A new chapter! :) Here ya go

It was another sleepless night. I tossed and turned in bed all night, I could barely catch some sleep. I woke up after only being asleep for barely two hours. I showered and changed into clothes. I ran downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee and a bannna.

Honk Honk.

I kissed my mom's cheek and said. "Goodbye Mom, I'll see you after school."

"Have a good day at school sweetheart!" My mother smiled.

I ran outside the door to find Hanna, Spencer, and Aria in one car. I hopped in the car, Spencer turned up the volume and we all sang along to Ariana Grande songs

We stopped at Alison's house. Within a few seconds, the car door flew open and then Alison was dressed in a leather romper with a baby pink furry vest with leather boots. She completed the look with a juicy couture handbag. She was stunning in her own Ali way.

"Are you ready?" Spencer asked, fixing her rearview mirror.

"Yes" We all shouted in unison.

When we arrived at school, we got out of the car and walked inside the school building. Alison led the way and the four of us were behind her. We were met with stares and whispers from people. All 5 of us were together again.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Paige and Mona standing next to each other by the lockers staring at us.

I could tell Paige getting upset. I heard her say to Mona "i can't watch this."

"I'll be right back." I told the girls.

"We'll catch you later." Alison smiled and then I watched her walk even more with the rest of the girls behind her. To be completely honest, it felt like we were her puppets and she was the ringleader of our group.

"Paige," I called out. "I want to talk to you."

She didn't even turn around. "Paige," i grabbed her arm and she finally turned around. I could tell that she was hurt.

"Dancing with the devil, i see" She commented with hurt written all over her face.

"People can change," I reminded her. "She wants to talk to you and apologize. Can you please listen to what she has to say?"

Paige was silent for a moment alone in her thoughts before finally replying. "Can we get back together?"

"No," I said firmly. "But that doesn't we cant be friends"

She looked disappointed. "I'll only do this…only for you."

"Meet me at lunch?"

"Okay!" She agreed.

I didn't know if my idea was good or bad. I just wanted peace and civil between all of us.

Paige and I were sitting at the lunch table. I looked around to see if I could catch a glimpse at Ali.

"Thank you for waiting for me," We spun around to find Alison standing behind us. She took a seat right across from us. "And thank you for getting us together, Em. Paige and i are lucky to have you as a friend."

Paige rolled her eyes and snapped. "That's the only thing we have in common."

"I'm ashamed of the way I treated you," Alison ignored her response and apologized. "I put people down to feel better about myself.'

"You were a terrible person, Alison and I hated you for it." Paige interjected. "I wouldn't have cared if you even died, I would have been happy if you were gone."

Alison swallowed her throat and replied. "I'm sorry."

"Are you sorry for me or for yourself?" Paige questioned eying her, not believing a word Ali said.

"For all of it." Alison admitted.

Paige looked furious, stared at me down and get up from the lunch table. "Well I'm happy for you Emily, you have your best friend back." She remarked sarcastically.

I grabbed her arm and pleaded. "Don't go!"

She ignored me and stalked off. I gave Alison an apologetic look and got up from the lunch table and chased after her

I guess Paige must have heard me. She didn't even turn around to look at me and kept walking away.

I spun her around softly. "Don't walk away from me."

Paige finally turned around and yelled. "Unbelievable."

"Come on Paige," I begged for her to give me a chance to explain.

"Nothing's changed, has it Em," Paige argued.

"Look, I've known Alison for years," I reasoned with her. "I'm not gonna drop her off like a fly because she was horrible to people. She's changed."

Paige rolled her eyes and shouted. "She saw us getting close again and she's now driving a wedge between 's the same person as she used to be. She doesn't want anyone happy unless its on her own terms."

"Don't leave," I begged.

"No, I have too because you are still controlled by her," She ranted angrily. "It's like you are still her puppet."

"No, that's not what this is about," I tried to explain. "If you would just listen to me."

"No, you know what," Paige responded firmly. "Call me when you decide to cut the strings."

She walked away for good. What we had over this past year is finished and I felt sad. It was like a chapter of my life was done..
