If there was one thing that Mirabel knew, it was that not every gift came from an enchanted candle. And if there was one gift she surely had, it was the fact that she had a way with kids.

Everywhere she went, little kids following Mirabel like cute little ducklings following their mommy.

The kids were always asking her lots of questions about the family and other things too. And with each question they had, Mirabel always had a story to tell.

Mirabel loved to create things, mostly embroidery and sewing patterns. Her cousin Milagro, also known as Mila, liked to create too. She was super smart and loved to invent things. But together, these two cousins liked to make up their own stories. When you're the only one in your family without magical powers, or at least one who chose not to use it, a lot of time was left to pick up on various hobbies.

On this fine day, Mirabel sat in a chair as she had something she borrowed from her cousin Milagro today.

"Alright, niños. Everyone sit down and we'll begin our story." Mirabel said, taking a seat.

"What story are you gonna tell us?" asked a little girl.

"This is a special story that Mila wrote based on a fairytale some of you may know. A story of true love and magic."

Mirabel opened the book, and here began the story of Cinder-Bruno.
