Uncharted Hearts

A/N: Hello everyone! This is my first attempt at dipping my toe into Creddie fanfiction. After completing season 4 of the revamped series, I got bit by the Creddie bug. Please don't be too harsh on me as this is my first time attempting to write iCarly fanfiction. Please leave me some feedback and if you believe I should continue with this story. I have some ideas on how I want it to go, but I'd love some feedback. I hope you enjoy! Rated T for now but may possibly change to M later.

Flashback

Senior year, filming the last episode of iCarly.

I wiggled my finger guns towards the camera smiling, "And thaaaaaaat is why you cannot use a sock with a jar of mayonnaise in it as a weapon." Freddie covered his face with his hands and shook his head dragging his fingertips down his face. "We miss you, Sam!" he said into the camera as I waved adding my own sentiment, "Love you, Sam! Be safe out there! We also… Want to say thank you to everyone who has continued to watch us through the years. We will miss you all, thank you." Freddie hit a button on his remote that faded our episode out to black.

"That was a great show, Freddie! I think you're really getting the videography down. Your editing has gotten a lot better through the years." Freddie shrugged awkwardly "Meh, it only took me like 400 episodes, multiple cups of coffee, and 20 meltdowns because the editing software refused to work." I sighed plopping down onto the large bean bag chair staring at the ceiling. "Can you believe that we graduate tomorrow? After tomorrow the world is our oyster and we can do whatever we want." The silence was deafening, the only sound to be heard was Freddie zipping up the case of his equipment. "No honestly…Not really. To your question I mean" he coughed, stumbling over his words. "Technically, we can't do anything we want. I mean look at where it got Sam." I smiled remembering the psychotic memories I had with Sam and sighed. "I told her that Ms. Briggs wouldn't appreciate a giant bucket full of glue falling on her head and walking into a trash bag full of feathers."

Freddie laughed sitting next to Carly on the bean bag next to her. "I still want to know where she got all those feathers." I cringed, my eye twitching slightly, "No… No, you do not." He raised his eyebrow at me but didn't push the topic further. "Have you gotten anymore letters from Juvie?" I tapped my fingers on the knees of my jeans. "No… I haven't heard from her in a long time. Maybe she got her privileges taken away… Again." Freddie put his hand on my shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze, his warmth lingering there. "I'm sure she is okay. She is Sam after all." I placed my hand over his, lost in thought. "You're right, I'm sure she snuck into the kitchen and filled a pillowcase with baked beans." Freddie snorted, "Didn't she do that to Gibby once?" I grinned as I mentally started going down memory lane. "Yeah, she did because he made fun of her big toe during a game of Twister."

Freddie moved his hand off my shoulder snapping his fingers "Yes! That's what it was! God, that happened so long ago. That was what? Sophomore year?" I nodded at the recollected memory "Yeah, it was at Wendy's birthday party." The conversation dropped into dead air. "Soooo…." Freddie began trying to break the awkward silence, "Are you excited for your trip to Italy tomorrow night?" To be completely honest, I was terrified. It is the longest trip I have ever taken on a plane, but I couldn't back down now with the flight so close. "Uh, yeah. I'm excited to see my dad honestly." Freddie stood up offering his hand to help me up off the bean bag. I took his hand as he pulled me up off the bag. "What about you? Are you excited to start college next week?" He hoisted his bag over his shoulder and shrugged.

"I'm more excited to get away from my mother. I had to promise her that I would sanitize my dorm once a week… Including my sheets." I laughed "She just cares about you Freddie; she wants to make sure you stay away from those nasty, nasty germs." Freddie rolled his eyes, turning his back to me, placing his hand on the doorknob. "Freddie… Wait." He turned around to face me as I tried to work up the nerve to finally tell him about the feelings that had been burning in the pit of my stomach. "Yeah Carly?" I took a deep breath and exhaled, "Promise to stay in touch?" he smiled and nodded "Of course Carly, I promise."

The following day was a complete blur. Between the graduation rehearsal, rushing home long enough to get ready for the graduation ceremony, and being passed around my family members in congratulation hugs I never got the chance to say goodbye to Freddie before I got on the plane. I took out my phone at the airport, typing out my congratulations text to Freddie and hitting send. I turned my phone off and stepped onto the plane.
