It's been a week since the Wolgram attack, I've been quite busy too! From my butler work to my lessons with Ram. I'm also doing Radio Calisthenics with the village kids.

And mayonnaise was a big hit too!

" Hah! Some long awaited free-time!"

I launched myself from my seat and strolled out of my room. Emilia is probably busy studying, Ram and Rem are busy cleaning. Puck is with Emila and who knows where that clown has disappeared to.

" Welp! I'll hang out with Beako for now!"

Walking through the corridor, I picked a door and opened it.

" Hello Beako-"

Beatrice " What an annoying brat I suppose, time for you to get some wings in fact!"

" Hey wait-!"

Beatrice then proceeded to throw me out of the library.

" Owww!"

? " Barusu, do you believe you can fly again?"

" Hello Ram, and no! Beako threw me out!"

Ram " Deserved."

Ram " Either way, I needed to talk to you. I have an errand for you, and you can't say no."

" HUH? I have been working this whole time! I just got my first break after a week!"

Ram " Sad. Either way, Emilia is going to take part in the Royal selection in a week. We'll be having guests in a couple hours too. They are from the Karstan household."

Karstan household… I've been reading up on the other candidates. They have Crusch the lie detector. Wilhelm, the grandfather of Reinhard who seeks revenge for his wife. Who was killed by the White Whale, and Felix, the best healer in Lugnica.

" Oh, so just accompany Emilia?"

Ram " Nope, we don't trust Barusu enough to not embarrass Emilia."

" Rude."

Ram " You'll be going to the capital to take part in a deal with the Suwen trading company."

" Huh? What for?"

Ram " An alliance so to speak. Rem would do it if she wasn't busy, I'm forced to pass this task to you."

" Great! And I can't say no, can I?"

Ram " Nope, you'll ride back with the guests and stay at the Karstan mansion for two weeks, Rem will join you for the second week."

" So I'll be staying there for two weeks huh?"

Ram " Don't embarrass us, either way. These are the rest of the details. "

Ram handed me a piece of paper with the details and left.

" Damn, I'm glad I studied. I can now read this without much difficulty."

The paper just stated the location and time of the meet up, along with a couple other details.

I stood up and walked to the main lounge and sat down on the couch.

" Damn, negotiations huh? This might be difficult."

After a while, a carriage rolled up to the front entrance and two people exited, specifically, a old man and a half-cat who looked like a girl. But in reality, the half-cat was a boy.

" Wilhelm and Felix."

I folded the note and the maids opened the door.

Rem & Ram " Welcome to Roswaal's mansion Wilhelm and Felix. We hope you enjoy your stay."

Wilhelm " Thank you. We will."

Felix " Hey! It's my patient! How are you faring Nyaa?"

" Could be better, I haven't taken a break for these past two weeks. And these next two weeks won't be any different. You're Felix right? Name's Subaru Natsuki."

Felix " Call me Ferris, nya. You really should take a break."

" I was about to, but Ram forced a job onto me. And I can't say no."

Wilhelm " The negotiations with the Suwen trading company, right?"

" Yep. You are Wilhelm, correct?"

Wilhelm " Ah sorry, yes I am. You are Subaru, correct?"

" Yep!"

Felix " Nya. You know I heard about your adventure with the Wolgarms. Can't say I'm impressed with you risking your life twice."

Wilhelm " However, it is valiant."

" Ehe, I do see where you're coming from, Ferris. But I can't make any promises that I wouldn't do it again."

" And wouldn't you do the same if someone close to you is in danger? Like perhaps… Crusch?"

Felix " Nya? How did you-"

" I already have a good read on you, it's really obvious."

Rem " I can attest to that, he can read someone."

Ram " That is, if Barusu actually cared to pay attention."

" Back to our man to man conversation, Felix~"

Felix " You saw through that too? Nyan-"

Wilhelm " You truly are more than meets the eye."

" Would you do the same thing?"

Felix " … Nya Yes…"

" I knew it! Well anyways, I'm sure you have an important conversation to get to that I certainly won't understand!"

Felix quickly hopped off the couch and followed Rem to the dining room. While I head outside with Wilhelm.

Wilhelm " Subaru Natsuki."

" Wilhelm Van Astrea, let me ask. When was the last time you traveled to my homeworld?"

BOOM! Did you like this plot twist? This just came to me as I was writing and it was a good idea. Writing the same story with one aspect changed isn't that fun. Though it still will follow canon, this is going to divert it.
