Introduction Notes
For as far as I can remember, I always wanted to watch My Hero Academia; but, for a long time, I kept pushing that away. It is always difficult for me to engage into a new cartoon or anime, because I know how obsessive I can get with things that I end up liking. Finally, after season 5 had aired, I found the courage to finally watch it… and I loved it!
I love how the story is so engaging and complex, with even the smallest details and story arcs taking a major part in the main story. I love how it is so rich in characters that are so diverse and complex. The manga/anime does a very great job in taking down the status quo of both heroes and villains, showing them in a much grey lighting, showing that good and evil are not as clear as black and white. And let's not talk about the quirks, as some are so unique and powerful.
But if there's one part of My Hero Academia I love is, without a doubt, the Todoroki family… especially Endeavor and how he is the perfect example of a hero that is not that much heroic, but ends up suffering a major character development. When I first met him, I found him kind of a jerk (especially after realizing how he was such an abusive husband and father). However, he ended up becoming one of my favorite characters, especially with him finally realizing what it takes to be a real hero and taking responsibility for his actions.
Because of that, I decided to make a brand new story centered on my favorite family in My Hero Academia.
About the story:
This story is an AU of the manga/anime My Hero Academia (or Boku no Hero Academia in the original). Therefore, despite it may share some traits with it, it will have a much different story than the one showed in the original manga/anime.
Because the story will be different, the characters in them will also suffer some changes (being minor or major), either in their design, personality, quirks, relationships or background. Because of that, you can count on many radical changes, especially regarding Heroes being Villains or Villains being Heroes.
The story will have the Todoroki family as a center. Despite it will still show Endeavor in his quest to surpass All Might and having family conflicts, the truth is he will not be as abusive/negligent as he is showed in the manga/anime. The reason for that will come in the form of specific key events that will push Endeavor to become a better man, hero, husband and father.
Endeavor's initial story is like the one in the manga/anime, so it will be told in a general way and not have much detail about it, but the big change will come after one specific moment that will start the change I had talked above.
Another thing that will have a major change is Izuko Midoriya/Deku. In this story, he will have a quirk of his own and that will also put him at the center of the story. Not just that, but his father will also be present and become one crucial part of the story. Not to mention that the all thing about One For All and All For One will have major changes as well. After all, if Izuku has a quirk, then it's obvious he will not inherit the OFA. But that's okay, because I already have a successor that is the consequence of another change I did.
I hope you all enjoy this story, as much as I enjoyed envision it…
