Alan Walker (The Dinner)
"So, Alan, you have met my lovely wife, Caroline." Elijah re-introduced Caroline to Alan Walker, the head of the human faction when they had arrived to the restaurant where Alan Walker was already waiting for them.
"Of course, how could I forget a pretty thing like her." Walker said to them as he drooled all over Caroline's hand and when he was done with that, they sat down and as Alan Walker and Elijah talked business, Walker kept giving her those looks, those dirty looks like he was only thinking of one thing he wanted to with her.
All of a sudden Elijah excused himself, "Excuse me Alan, but I saw a friend here who I need to have a word with."
"Elijah!" Caroline pleaded with him not to leave.
"I'll be back in a minute, sweety. Until then, please, be a good company to Mr Walker here."
"Of course she will," Alan Walker told him, "Mrs Mikaelson and I will have a good time while you are away. Don't even worry about it, Elijah."
'He is such a sleazebag,' Caroline thought and looked at Elijah, pleading him not to leave her alone with him.
But Elijah ignored her and went anyway.
"So, Caroline, I can call you that right, honey?" Walker started.
"Of course you can." Caroline turned her attention back to him and faked a smile.
"As, I was saying, Caroline, is he treating you good, because you seem unhappy?"
"I'm very happy, Mr Walker."
"I bet. If you were my wife, I would make sure you were always happy. The things I could do for you…"
"He's already doing and giving me everything I need Mr Walker."
"Call me, Alan, please. You know, your husband has left it seems and I-"
Caroline panicked and started to look around to see that Elijah was nowhere to be seen.
"So how about it dear?" Mr Walker brought her attention back to him.
"How about what?" Caroline asked him while looking around for Elijah.
"How about we leave this place and you join me at my mansion for a little jacuzzi session. I heard it's your-"
But before he could finish, she slapped him hard on the cheek and stormed off, taking the first taxi she could get off the streets and went straight home.
Klaus was currently in the living room when the elevator doors opened and a very upset Caroline stormed past him to her bedroom. She tried to hit the door close to lock it but as surprised and worried as Klaus was, he was faster.
When she saw that she couldn't fight him off, she let the door open fully and fell in his embrace, crying.
"Sweetheart, what happened?"
"I can't take this anymore. My life, it's a nightmare. The things that I have to suffer… you have no idea." She cried.
Then he got more worried and broke the hug to look her in the eye.
"What are you talking about? What happened tonight?"
So Caroline told him everything that transpired that night.
"I'm usually very cool with them hitting on me, but this guy, something about him is just off."
"I know. A lot of women who have been seen with him over the years have just disappeared."
"What!?"
"Don't worry, Caroline, these were regular women, you are a vampire. Me and Elijah, we're the Originals, nothing's going to happen to you, I promise."
Caroline sobbed as she again closed the distance between them and fell into his embrace. Klaus held on to her tightly as she sobbed. They stayed like that for a few minutes, until Klaus' phone buzzed and he had to pull away to check it.
"Elijah is on his way up. Seems angry."
"Oh, I'll give him angry." And Caroline stormed off to meet her husband at the elevator.
"Caroline!" was all he could say as the elevator doors opened and Elijah stormed in.
Klaus looked as both of them yelled at one another, blaming the other for ditching them.
"Why didn't you come to find me when you felt that things got out of hand?"
"I tried, I didn't find you anywhere. And why exactly didn't you tell me what a creep he really was?"
"Because, It doesn't matter. You are well protected and you're a vampire Caroline, don't forget that."
"Oh, how could I ever and you protected me well."
"HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU!"
"Elijah!" Klaus suddenly interrupted them.
"What is it, Niklaus?" They both turned to look at him like they were only now acknowledging that he was also in the room with them.
"I agree with Caroline. Walker has a past and a very ugly past with women. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near your wife."
Elijah waved it off. "He's only a human. He's no match for us."
"Maybe, but he could be dangerous to Caroline."
"Somebody is always with her, so what could possibly ever happen to her!?"
Klaus didn't say anything, just stared at his brother, who stared right back. Caroline saw that something was said between the brothers without using words and then Elijah rolled his eyes.
"Fine, fine, Niklaus, go teach him a lesson, but he needs to be alive after that."
"I know."
And Klaus flashed to the elevator, but not before giving her an assuring look when Elijah wasn't looking. A look that assured Caroline of everything, that Klaus loved her and would never let that man hurt her.
** Elijah went to shower and change clothes while Caroline did the same in her room.
A half an hour later, Klaus came back and saw that the lights were dimmed and obviously both of them were resting. He decided to change out of his bloody clothes and go shower himself. When he got to his bedroom and was in the middle of changing the clothes, his phone buzzed on the bed and he couldn't help but smile when he saw that Caroline was texting him.
'What happened?'
'Nothing. Walker just lost an eye tonight. He won't be a problem anymore.'
'Thank you, Klaus. (heart'
"It's nothing, sweetheart. Stop thanking me for things that come naturally for me.'
'Okay, I will, when you stop doing them.:)'
'Never. (Heart)'
'Okay, then you have to deal with the gratitude, I guess.'
Klaus couldn't help but smile at that and then he did something he never thought he would do again after what happened 1000 years ago. The words wore written and sent before he could stop himself.
'I love you, Caroline. I would do anything for you.'
Then he held his breath not knowing what her answer would be. After a while, there was a knock on the door.
When he opened the door Caroline almost ran him to the ground when her lips crashed to his. It wasn't tongues-used-kind-of-a-kiss. Elijah was home after all and they didn't want to wake him up when things got from one thing to another. So silently they kissed and held on to each other.
After that, no words were spoken between them but so much was said as they both smiled from ear to ear and silently worded 'Good night' to one another.
The next day Caroline had to do her daily schedule without Klaus as he had to be with Elijah the whole day and was currently in the middle of a Internet search about marketing when her whone buzzed.
'What is the most beautiful girl in the world doing right now?' : )
'I really don't know, but I am currently studying.' : )
There was a short pause when her phone buzzed again.
'I would give anything to be with you right now, to kiss you, to have my way with you.'
'Then why don't you?' :P
'You know why, sweetheart."
'I do. I'm just teasing.'
'Something you will regret soon.' :P
Caroline couldn't help but smile. She knew that having an affair with her husband's brother in front of him wasn't the best of decisions but Klaus was worth it. She felt it, that he would never hurt her or leave her. She trusted him.
They continued to flirt that day whenever they could but when Klaus and Elijah came home late at night, Caroline was already sleeping.
The next morning Caroline had a free morning before breakfast. She slept as long as she could, then showered and got ready for it. When she walked to the dining room, Elijah and Klaus were already there and it surprised her how casual Klaus was. No nerves showing that how excited he must have been that it was his whole day with her this time, at least according to the schedule she received from Elijah late at night over Whatsapp.
"Good morning," Caroline said sitting down at the table.
"Good morning," Elijah said casually with out looking at her but his news paper.
"Yes, good morning," Klaus also was so casual as he texted someone, only glancing at her one second.
Rest of the breakfast Klaus and Elijah discussed business while Caroline just ate and looked over daily schedule, which was pretty much same as previous days. But something was scheduled in the day, an errand to run.
"Elijah, what is that errand I'm suppose to go to at 2 pm."
"Oh, that, you need a new passport as all three of us are going on a little trip soon."
"What trip?"
"You'll find out soon enough. But Right now please be a dear and go to the office to do the passport."
Caroline wanted to pry some more but when Elijah wasn't looking, Klaus shook his head to indicate her not to do it.
When Elijah was about to leave, only then Klaus's body language changed, he turned from casual to attentative and attentative to her. Looking her straight in the eye with that sexy look of his when Elijah was in his room.
Then when Elijah went to the elevator, Klaus seemed nervous. Looking at his phone for the longest time, his phone suddenly buzzed and next thing she knew, she was standing with Klaus, his hands wrapped around her waist and hers around his neck and they were kissing.
In between kissing her, he muttered, "I missed you so much. You have no idea."
"Klaus, what trip am I going to?"
"Later," He said as he took her in his lap and flashed to the bedroom.
They stayed there until it was time to go at 2 pm.
They casually went outside when Klaus was stopped by one of men who needed to give him some important message.
Caroline was maybe 10 feet away, at the side of the road, by the car when a car pulled in front of theirs, it was some kind of delivery, Caroline didn't pay attention as he just looked at Klaus. When suddenly someone grabbed her and when she called for Klaus, Klaus was stabbed from behind by one of his men and then in the head by the one he was talking to. It wouldn't kill him, but it made it impossible for Klaus to help Caroline who was dragged to the delivery car and then it drove away. The vampires who hit Klaus also disappeared and then Klaus had a little time getting rid of the stake in his back and the knife in his head. People all around him were screaming and calling for ambulance. But when he got them out, he immediately called Elijah to tell him what happened. Elijah ordered the people to be compelled right away by him and that he was on his way home. SO Klaus did exactly that, compelled everyone who saw anything.
