Stephanie made her way back to Camp Kidney, entering Cocoa cabin and plopping on the bed, she wanted to get some rest. Andy was meditating on his mat, looking at the wolf, too tired to even change out of her uniform, Andy asked what was up as Stephanie sighed. "I Had to walk all the way into the woods and back".
Stephanie told him about the deal with Suzie to dispel the rumors of him being gay. Andy chuckled at the Stephanie. knowing there was no way the wolf was gay. but asked Steven if the wolf wasn't sure he wanted to shower before bed, tossing him a can of sausages as he missed dinner.
It was Veggie casserole, you did not miss much" Jakk replied, tuning his guitar, plucking a string as he wound the peg. Stephanie got up, deciding she would take a shower before bed, leaving as the boys of Cocoa Cabin looked at each other.
"Is it me or is something wrong with Steven" Tusk asked concerned, laying on his bed as Andy shrugged, claiming Steven was the toughest SOB he knew, and whatever was eating him, the wolf could deal with it. Andy finished up his stretches, getting out of his clothes and crawling into his bed. The tiger closed his eyes, curious what the new day would bring.
Andy could not have fathomed that the next day another group of scouts would be coming to camp. They were standing at the flagpole, as Slinkman was informing the scouts on what would be going on. "Okay Scouts, Camp Garbanzo in Pineapple Plantations burned down do to...circumstances, surprisingly no one was hurt but the Bean Scouts of Pineapple Plantations are being split up and sent to different Bean Scout Camps.
"So, we're getting more campers?" Raj asked nervous about meeting new people as Edward groaned. the odds of the new campers being as cool as Cocoa was unlikely, but more number could never hurt. Slinkman nodded. as They had empty cabins.
"We're only getting four campers though" Slinkman explained as Lumpus grumbled, having to deal with more campers. eventually a bus pulled into Camp Kidney, it was slightly worse than the usual bus, having 'Camp Garbanzo' written in the side. Slinkman instructed the scouts to give the new boys a warm welcome.
The First boy off the bus was some sort of green Chameleon, he was into the book he was reading that he almost tripped getting off the bus as the driver, called out to the boy to watch were he going.
"Geroge Salazar" Slinkman read as the Panther Chameleon perked up, hearing his name, introducing himself as leader of the group, keeping his introduction short. The lizard was Followed by the next scout, a pig who was a little chubby.
"Martin Morel" Slinkman read as the pig poked his head out waving to the group, seeming friendly as he stood beside the Chameleon. The third was a white fox.
"Felix Finestein" Slinkman read as the white fox stepped down, styling his hair as he stood the group followed by the fourth and final boy, a German Shepard.
"Alejandro Riviara" Slinkman finished as the canine waved to the boys, giving a smug yet charming personality.
Slinkman looked over the clipboard. welcoming the four to Camp Kidney as George nodded, closing his book. asking Slinkman to instruct them where they could unpack their belongings. Slinkman led the four of them to one of the empty cabins. offering to get the four settled on, dismissing the rest of the boys.
"Feel free to look around, it's a free day" Slinkman instructed as Geroge, put his fingers on his chin, telling the rest of them to go ahead, he would be with them soon.
Cocoa cabin met up at the burnt-out fire pit, talking about how they were no longer the new kids at camp and how this would affect them. Jakk was all for having some new campers, meaning they were no longer the rookies.
"Actually, they are transfer campers, they've been in the scouts longer than us, we're still the rookies" Andy explained as the boys nodded. The new campers seemed to be nice as Tusk nodded, pulling a snack cake that he had bought off Edward, unwrapping it as shoveling it in his mouth.
Andy looked at him, joking that his eating was the reason Tusk was Chubby. The boar simply took another bite, knowing the joke was lighthearted and not mean spirited.
Across the lake The Squirrels were also getting some new campers from Pineapple plantations, specifically from Walnut Fields which along with Camp Garbanzo burned down.
Unlike The Bean Scouts however there were only two new girls. a purple vampire bat, named Alice Cavernsworth, and a panda named Mimi Ling. Miss Doe was welcoming the new campers, giving them a tour.
"You see after the fire our Cabin leader's parents pulled her out of the scouts" Mimi told Jane Doe, explaining why there was only two of them as she nodded. felling sorry that the two lost their camp but was more than willing to welcome them to Acorn Flats.
"Since there are only two of you, we'll put one of our regulars into your cabin" Jane added, showing them an empty cabin, where they would be staying. introducing it as Cabin Running Squirrel. The two girls set their bags down, looking around the cabin. the wooden bedframes, the vanity mirror against the wall.
Mimi thanked the elder deer who introduced them to another scout, telling them that Almondine Nestelle would be acting as their cabin leader, transferring from Tree Squirrel to give each cabin 3 scouts. Alice extended her hand to shake with Almondine.
"Don't worry, I have a lot of experience and I'll do my best to be your cabin leader" Almondine offered, helping the two girls finish unpacking. After getting the girls settled in Almondine escorted them to the Food Terrace where Jane was going to introduce them formally. calling for the girls' attention as all the scouts kept talking.
"PIPE DOWN!" Miss Mucus called out, getting the girls to freeze as if on cue. the Food Terrace was so quiet, a cough could be heard as Jane spoke again in her soft tone. "Thank You Miss Mucus, now as some of you may know, a town to the north; Pineapple Plantations was the subject of a fire which burnt down the area."
"Wait a whole camp burned down?" Amber called out, surprised to hear about this as Jane Nodded, looking at the girls.
"As a result, this fire, the scouts of that town have all been separated and sent to different Squirrel and Bean Camps surrounding the area until Walnut Fields and Camp Garbanzo can be reconstructed, meaning we have two new campers" Jane added, introducing Mimi and Alice to the other girls.
Mimi smiled, thanking Miss Doe for her hospitality, as they introduced themselves to the other campers. Almondine looked at Amber, saying this made her a Cabin leader now, looking at the star on her vest as the Rabbit nodded, saying that Tree Squirrel would not be the same without her.
Amber helped the owl pack up her stuff to move into Running Squirrel as this meant that she would be promoted to Cabin leader and was genuinely happy for her friend. Almondine helped them get unpacked, the other scouts met in the new Running Squirrel cabin to get to know the two new scouts looking at the two.
"So why not tell me about yourselves?" Almondine asked, wanting to know about her new cabinmates as Alice sat her bed, going first. The Bat mentioned that her grandfather was an adventurer who often took her along.
"My real passion though is in art, painting specifically" The Bat went on about her hobby, stating that she did not have any of works to show them, but she had a few sketches in her bag, passing them around. Rachel looked at them, complimenting the artistic skill. Alice smiled, admitting they were just some rough ideas.
Mimi mentioned that she was more into martial arts, having been in a few junior martial arts competitions. in addition to that, she enjoyed singing. "Seriously get me in front of a karaoke machine and watch me". Gretchen asked what kind of music she was into as Mimi explained she had a wide taste. The Girls kept talking.
Back at Camp Kidney the boys in Garbanzo Cabin finished decorating their cabin, Geroge adjusting the small solar panel on their cabin roof, screwing it in, the panel mainly went to an in-cabin air conditioner. he turned to Stephanie, asking how the wiring was coming along as the wolf nodded.
"Coming along, this network of wires should power the AC units in the cabins" The wolf replied, happy to have someone else who was good with tools.
At the Mess Hall Tusk was showing Martin around, guiding the pig to all the food, I know it's not the best stuff, but I Hope you'll like it. Tusk replied, asking Mcmuesli for two specials. each boy being handed a tray as they walked to the table sitting down.
"The food at Camp Garbanzo was worse, from what I've seen this Camp is way better, a forest, a lake. all we had was rocky terrain" Martin replied, reaching into his backpack, commenting a little mix of spices would liven this food up, shaking some containers over the food, taking another bite. Tusk asked to try that as Martin did so. Tusk nodded how much it improved the taste.
In Cabin Garbanzo, Felix was decorating the interior of the cabin, looking for a way to really make the colors pop. holding up two fabrics, looking at the samples before turning to the German Shepard laying down "Cyan or Cobalt".
The Fox pondered as Alejandro was laying on his bed, getting a feel for the bed springs, commenting the mattresses were only slightly better than their former camp. according to the four new boys, the Scouts at Camp Kidney knew how to live, a forest, a lake, running water, decent food.
"I Think This change will be good for everyone" Geroge said entering the cabin with Stephanie and Andy, wiping his hands with a rag, handing it to the wolf who nodded. Andy spoke up, reminding George to meet him at the Secret fort, as the Big Five was already becoming the Big Six, due to Geroge's merit as a leader at Camp Garbanzo.
