I walked over slowly and sat down beside her.
(We can pick this up and up and talk if you want too?) Elijah suggested.
(Dad's sick and no one will really tell me what's going to happen.) Belinda explained.
(We don't want to upset you or scare you. Plus we have to take this step by step.
(We're all nervous and afraid. Dad needs us all right now.) Elijah explained.
(What if the surgery and chemo don't work?) Belinda asked.
(Then they will find medicine that does. We have to trust and believe in dad.) Elijah said.
Belinda pulled him into her arms hugging tightly.
Elijah hugged her back. Wiping her tears.
Together they cleaned up the bedroom.

Clothes over bros
(We're closing in a few minutes.)Brooke said.
(I just thought you should know. I'm changing my last name from Scott to Davis.) Brian announced.
(You are nothing more then a pawn in their game to hurt this family.)
(When are you going to wake up and realize you don't belong there.?) Brooke asked.
(They are my family too and I have no reason to not give them a chance.) Brian replied.
(What's going at home? I tried to talk to Elijah at school but he wouldn't tell me.) Brian questioned.
Brooke sighed deeply. Staring back at her son.
(You're father had cancer of the blood. Stage 2.)
(We are just doing all we can to love support and be there.) Brooke revealed.
(Now I really have to go.) Brooke insisted.

Weeks Later
Lucas 's surgery was successfully done. He had been home from the hospital for a few days now. And he planned to begin chemo next.
That would take a toll on his body and his feelings. He was well aware of that.
And ultimately there was no guarantee it would work. But he would go through what was needed to gain the time and quality of life he was desperate for.

He sat down in the hospital cancer wing. Getting his first round of chemo.
Brooke was seated nearby. With water and ice cream she had bought for him to eat.
As she read out loud to him BDavis Magazine.

He got multiple rounds of chemo during the week now.
Days where he ate and others when he didn't.
Once his hair started falling out he just decided to shave it off.
