Dr. Facilier woke up the next morning and rubbed his face. He got up and stumbled to the floor. He cursed himself because he was still weak; Ravenna rushed into the room upon hearing him fall.
Ravenna asked, "Charles, are you okay?" Charles smiled at her and ran his hand through his hair.
Yes, darling, I'm fine. Forgot I can't walk yet," Facilier said as Ravenna helped him up and she placed him on the bed.
Ravenna smiled at him while making sure he was okay since he had fallen and begun to get lost in thought. Facilier knew what to do now and gently lifted her chin.
"I would like to go out today after breakfast." Facilier says as she pulled away and looked at him
"Out? You mean in town? Are you sure your not even walking yet." Ravenna says concerned about him and he nodded in response
Facilier wanted to get into town to see the two people he wanted revenge on. He looked at Ravenna with a sweet smile and grabbed her hand, kissing it gently.
Yes, darling, I'll be fine. Maybe you can help me learn how to walk again," Facilier said as he touched her cheek, causing Ravenna to blush.
"Yes, I can teach you how to walk," Ravenna said as she handed him his breakfast and then left the room.
Facilier sipped his coffee while thinking about his revenge on the two people who caused this. Facilier finished his coffee as Ravenna entered the room with clothing and helped him into the clothes. Facilier looked at himself in the mirror as she helped him stand up to see how he looked. The white shirt and black jeans looked good on him.
"Looks good darling. Now let's go." Facilier says as she helped him in a wheelchair and she pushed him out of the room
"So where to first? There is this new restaurant that opened called Tiana's place." Ravenna says looking at Facilier and his eyes widen
Facilier gritted his teeth in anger, but then he turned towards her with a friendly smile. Facilier didn't trust her with his plan, nor did he plan on telling her who he was.
"Tiana's place can wait till I can walk. How about that voodoo pace." Facilier says as she looked scared and he rubbed her hand
Voodoo? Like the Shadow Man who died? No thank you, Charles. I'm not into that." Ravenna said, frowning and looking away angrily.
How the hell was he supposed to contact his friends on the other side? Or did they not want to talk to him? What if they decided to take him to the grave for what he owed? Facilier couldn't risk that; he needed to get his revenge at any cost. Keeping Ravenna in the dark was the best option and letting her help him walk.
After going into town Facilier started trying to put strength back into his legs and Ravenna helped him by walking with him. Facilier was very determined to walk so he could get revenge on Naveen and Tiana for what they did to him.

Facilier started becoming very hostile towards Ravenna and she tried to calm him down by assuring him that everything was okay, but he wouldn't listen. He started to put the blame on Ravenna and he made her cry.
"Charles, please!" Ravenna said as she glared at him and he pushed himself off the bed, falling onto the floor.
"Look here, darling! If I can't walk, I might as well not even be a man!" Facilier shouted at Ravenna, who looked away with tears in her eyes.

Days passed, and the fighting grew worse. Ravenna wondered if she had made a mistake in helping Facilier walk. But she realized he was just angry and perhaps he would thank her once he could walk again.

Unfortunately, Facilier did not take her kindness and understanding to heart. He began to walk on his own without her assistance.
Ravenna pleaded, "Please, Charles, don't do this." As she pulled on his arm, he yanked it away.
"I'll do this if I want to!" Facilier shouted as he slapped her and she fell to the ground, clutching her cheek.
Facilier glared at her with anger as he continued to walk away without her, while she stood there, staring at him with regret for having helped him in his time of need. Ravenna watched Facilier walk away, and she left the room with tears streaming down her face.

Ravenna had stopped going into Facilier's room and he was walking alone. Facilier smiled to himself for accomplishing walking within just a few days and he sat on the bed, smiling evilly at his revenge plan coming together in his mind.

Ravenna went to Facilier and she looked at him. "Charles, this isn't working out. I think it's best if you left." Ravenna said as she stood up and walked towards him.
"I was done here anyway," he said as he looked at her and Ravenna looked away angrily.
The days of him being an ass towards her were building up inside her, and she slapped him across his face. Facilier held his cheek, staring at her in shock.

I could have left you where you were! I could have let you die! But no, I opened up my house to you; I was kind to you, and I tried my best to help you walk. But you wanted to walk too soon! I still think it's too soon; I'm only human, Charles, but if you don't see what I've done and you've been taking me for granted, don't blame me when you fail... flat on your ass! Ravenna says, walking out of the room and rubbing her cheek in shock.

Facilier left Ravenna's room without a word to her, and Ravenna slammed the door behind him, locking it. Facilier turned around, staring at the door, before walking away.

Facilier could only think about her sweet smile and her greeting him each morning. Facilier looked at his hands remembering when he had hit her and he sat down placing his head in his hands. "What have I done?" Facilier asked himself and he looked up to the sky.
Facilier was so focused on taking his revenge that he hurt his only friend and the only one who cared about him. Facilier couldn't turn back and he couldn't apologize to her; could he? Was it too late? Facilier ran back to Ravenna, knocked on the door, and she opened it with a glare.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken you for granted, nor should I have hurt you, Ravenna," Facilier begged her, and she stared at him.
No. You lost your chance at forgiveness when you said nothing. Goodbye, Charles." Ravenna said as she closed the door, leaving Facilier staring at it with tears in his eyes.
For the first time in his life, his heart ached; he wanted to hold her and kiss her, but it was too late. He had lost her, and he could never get her back.
