"You're sure he is here?" The local team rocket leader asked.
"Yes" The grunt affirmed.
"Good now then we can kill him and steal the meteor there as well" She smiled.
"What's so important about that kid anyways. All he has is a devil fruit that turns him into rubber?" the grunt asked.
"It's the natural counter to the Goro Goro no mi. The pokemon that has it right now is damn near impossible to beat. With the Gomu Gomu no mi you can hit him without haki and are immune to the effects of his devil fruit" She explained.
"Ah so you can kill him easier and Team Rocket can gain control of the Goro Goro no mi" The grunt finished.
"Precisely now let's prepare the strike team" She smiled in glee at the thought of being the one to have the Gomu Gomu no mi and getting her mits on the Goro Goro no mi. Granted yes you could get the Goro Goro no mi with Haki and whatnot but previous attempts to do so led to the person with it to slaughter everyone. Then he would disappear and be extremely difficult to deal with. An unknown reason was that the Gomu Gomu no mi could be quite versatile when in the hands of someone competent and creative. Finally to get rid of a future threat before he became too expierenced to deal with, it shouldn't be that hard right.
The next day after breakfast Ash had spent the entire morning trying to find a damn water or grass type but couldn't. He swore that they were avoiding him on purpose just to spite him for some reason. However on the other hand he did get some extra practise in for his inevitable rematch against the Pewter City Gym. Eventually it was about mid afternoon when he decided that it was time for a break.
"Say Pikcahu, Ninetails how about going to see the museum?" Ash asked as he decided to keep Ninetails out of her pokeball in order to get to know her a bit better.
"Hmm that sounds really nice actually" Pikachu put a paw to his chin.
"Do they even allow pokemon inside" Ninetails asked.
"According to the website only those under a certain size and one that is well behaved" Ash answered.
"Why not better than trying to hunt down nonexistent grass types" Ninetails huffed in frustration at their lack of success.
"Ok then let's get going" Ash smiled. Everyone decided to go their separate ways for a bit before meeting back together at the pokemon center after a couple days. He walked through Pewter City and finally made it to the museum. Looking to his left he saw a sign that read Pewter City Muesum on it. Looking around some more Ash saw a small line at the front and figured that this was where he was supposed to go in order to enter. After getting in the museum Ash really didn't know where to go first.
"So where should we go first?" Ash asked as he held out the map of the museum.
"Hmm how about this?" Pikachu pointed to a spot on the map with his paw while on Ash's shoulder.
"What about you?" Ash asked ninetails.
"I'm fine with anywhere" She said. So then Ash set off.
"I've been meaning to ask, but why did you want Ash to be your trainer?" Pikachu asked.
"I've been interested in these devil fruits" She replied.
"What about the Gomu Gomu no mi?" Pikachu asked again.
"It seems like an interesting power but I'm sure there are more powerful ones out there" Ninetails answered.
"Like the Chi Chi no mi?" Pikachu wondered what her response to an interesting devil fruit like this one would be.
"That one disgusts me the ability to turn yourself into blood and to control someone elses blood" Ninetails shuddered at the thought.
"As a fire type would you eat the Mera Mera no mi?" Pikachu had been thinking about if he would eat one if he came across a devil fruit.
"Nah I would eat the Magu Magu no mi" Ninetails, ever since she heard about this devil fruit had dreamed about turning herself into magma and emitting it from her body. Yes she would lose the ability to swim but she never liked swimming much anyways.
"I wouldn't mind eating the Goro Goro no mi" Pikachu and the rest of Ash's team forced him to tell them more about the devil fruits and Pikachu made no small fuss about chomping down on Ash if he got himself hurt. Butterfree also threatened to give Ash a bad case of confusion and sleeping powder if he decided to try and fight a pokemon without them. As Pikachu had put it the pokemon were supposed to protect the trainer not the other way around.
"Sir everything is ready" The Team Rocket Grunt reported.
"Good time to begin, now remember our goal is to kill as many people as possible. Also make sure to steal the moon stone located at the museum. Finally our agents have reported that Ash Ketchum is located at the museum as well, if you find him kill him" The lady said.
"Let me deal with the rubber freak" An older man grinned.
"Fine he's all yours" She acknowledged.
Meanwhile Ash was looking at the various fossils that the museum storred. He never really understood why the remains of dead pokemon were so fastinating to others. Part of him wondered how he would felt if his skeletal remains were put on display for the whole world to see. Deciding to go see another exhibit Ash left and as he was walking to something else. Now Ash had it to the top floor when a explosion ripped through the bottom floor at the entrance. Some Team Rocket grunts and pokemon started to appear through the smoke, having the most sinister looks on their faces.
"Kill them all" A Team Rocket grunt yelled. Right after he said that the pokemon started to launch attacks into the crowd and people started to drop dead as a result. This caused a huge panic as people started to try and flee only to get cut off by a second group who began cutting them down. Meanwhile an older man with the ability to use aura sensed Ash at the top floor and began heading up.
"What's going on I felt a sudden shaking" A civilian said.
"I don't know maybe an earthquake" Another suggested.
"Pewter City isn't even near any fault lines dumbass" Another scoffed.
"Well perhaps its arrrggghhhhh" The woman dropped dead after being hit by a thunder bolt by a elekid.
"You stupid Kantoians never chang do you. You slaughtered my parents and damn near killed my baby brother now consider this revenge" Elekid knew no one could understand him but launched a few more attacks killing a few more civilians. The rest began to flee and Ash knew that he couldn't just use his devil fruit in the public.
"HOLD IT RUBBER BOY" A voice boomed out. Ash turned to the sound of the voice and saw an older man appear. He had brown eyes and short black curly hair. He didn't have any facial hair of any kind and had a small scar on his chin. He wasn't tall but not short either, only being an inch or two taller than Ash. He wore a Team Rocket uniform and stood in front of Ash.
"So you're the one with the Gomu Gomu no mi well I'm here to kill you" He bellowed. Pikachu and Ninetails jumped in front of Ash ready to do battle and protect him at the same time.
"Let's get the small fry out of here" A shark tail grew out of his butt and he swung smacking both Pikachu and Ninetails into a wall.
"A devil fruit" Ash growled.
"That's right I ate the Uo Uo no mi model Garchomp" The man smiled.
"All right then let's begin Gum Gum Rifle" Ash wound his arm and unloaded into the man's chest but it barely moved him. The guy then tried to use the same move on Ash who jumped out of the way. The man then opened his mouth to unleash a dark misty like substance that shot straight at Ash who flung his arm to a nearby pillar and got out of the way.
"Dragon Breath" Ash mumbled.
"Fine then how about this" The man then had his teeth change to those of a Garchomp and he sped towards Ash with his mouth wide open.
"Gum Gum whip" Ash then flung one of his legs and smacked into the man's head before sending him flying into a wall off to the side. As the man was being sent into the wall he started plowing through the floor creating a large path. As he got up the man got flame thrower to the face and then a thunder bolt. He yelled in pain as the attacks hit home before he launched his own attack. Large purple like claws grew out of his hands before charging Ash's pokemon intending on skewering them with Dragon Claw. He got about 3 quarters of the distance before a foot to the side of the face interrupted him.
"Gum Gum Stamp" Ash was not going to let this bastard kill his friends and sent the man crashing into a exhibit. Now he was beyond pissed, he was incensed at this little shit.
"You really want to die that badly fine then TIME TO DIE" The man then shot a flamethrower at Ash but Ninetails jumped in front tanking the hit herself while Ash jumped in the air.
"Gum Gum Spear" Ash launched both of his feet into the man but the guy dodged.
"Posion Jab" Poison then began coating his fingers before he charged Ash while he was in midair.
"Shit" Ash cursed himself. Pikachu meanwhile would not allow this man devil fruits be damned to kill his trainer. He unleashed a thunder bolt on the man who trying to kill Ash with posion. The man was so focused on Ash that he didn't notice the thunder bolt and that got him and caused him to fall to the ground.
"THAT'S IT TIME TO KILL YOU FUCKERS" The man screeched. This time he turned into a Garchomp.
"You know, its a lot different seeing a devil fruit in action compared to hearing about it" Pikachu thought outloud only to get interrupted as the man tackled him into a glass case before using one of his arms to smack Pikachu further. This sent him flying then Garchomp transitioned into Bulldoze making Pikachu plow into several other exhibits and into a wall. He then turned to the ninetails and bit down on one of her tails with Thunder Fang sending a large amount of voltage into her. Then he swung around and threw her across the room as well. Finally he finished it off with Take Down.
With those two pissants out of the way he could focus on his primary target. As he turned to face him he got an stretched knee to the mouth before Ash angled his attack downwards. This caused the man to have the back of his get slammed into the floor.
"Gum Gum Bazooka" Ash then charged across the room as the man got up. His attack hit the guy in the gut causing his eyes to bulge from the impact before sending him flying. The man got up again and jumped a bit before flying and smacking Ash in the chest with Ariel Ace. Sending Ash crashing through the wall and into the next room before crashing into a statue and knocking it over.
Ash got up before he got hit again with Dragon Rush and got sent crashing into a nearby pillar. This attack casued Ash to caugh up some blood before Garchomp bit down on Ash's arm causing more blood to spurt out and Ash yelled out in pain.
"Gum Gum Pistol" Ash stretched his arm sideways and retracted it into the man's eye causing him to let go and roar in pain. Ash took this chance to launch his counter attack.
"Gum Gum Gatling" Ash launched his barrage of punches into Garchomp. The attack defintily did some damage and Ash then transitioned into his next attack.
"Gum Gum Bullet" Ash ran as his arm stretched out and this time he aimed for the guys teeth. His attack hit home again causing a bit of Garchomp's face to warp around the attack and for some of his teeth to fly out. He skidded back a bit before regaining his composer. Sure his eye hurt like hell but he still had one that wasn't hit and he had one thought on his mind.
"This kid needs to die" The man then used his anger to fuel his next attack.
"Outrage" This attack took Ash off guard a bit before hitting him square on. Even more blood was coming out and this attack had enough power to send him airborne.
"Damn that hurt" Ash grumbled before shakily getting to his feet wiping the blood from his face. He then noticed the guy seemed to be confused.
"Thats right Outrage can cause confusion. Gum Gum Sniper" Ash grabbed some debris, stretched out his arm while running at the Garchomp before it retracted and slammed into the Garchomp sending him back. Then Ash transitioned into his next attack as a follow up.
"Gum Gum Pistol Shot" Ash then began sending his arm out and then twang it as his fist and began landing multiple hits on Garchomp. Then he grabbed the Pokemon with both of his hands and stretched back before retracting them which caused Ash to fly into the Garchomp.
"Gum Gum Rocket" He slammed into Garchomp with his entire body sending Garchomp flying backwards into a wall causing parts of it to snapped Garchomp out of his confusion and lifted the debris off of himself. He then flew into Ash before impailing one of his claws into Ash's shoulder before throwing hin across the room. Ash gritted his teeth in pain before seeing the Garchomp preparing to roast him.
"This has gone on for long enough" Garchomp declared.
"Flame thrower" The flames roared towards Ash who just barely got out of the way and got sinched in the process. Ash winced in pain a bit before getting stuck in Liquidation before getting sucker punched in the face and getting sent back as the guy went hybrid for the attack. Trying to get back up Ash was sent back down with the guy in a human Garchomp hybrid mode, who also had his foot on Ash's stomach.
"You never had a chance rubber freak" The guy sneered before grabbing Ash by the throat and holding him to the wall. He then bit down hard on Ash's shoulder/neck area as Ash screamed in pain. Garchomp also had his claw in Ash's other shoulder as well, Pikachu and Ninetails woke up to the scream and saw the position Ash was in. Before they could charge in they were stopped by Elekid.
"Time to see your trainer die" He sneered.
Ash grabbed the arm of Garchomp before violently snapping it in the other direction. This caused an audible crunch as the bone in Garchomp's arm broke causing it the be bent in a anatomically incorrect position. Garchomp let go and roared in pain before Ash stretched his leg into the ceiling. This broke it and his leg went on for a bit before stopping.
"Gum Gum Battle Axe" Ash then retracted his leg and slammed it into Garchomp's back and driving it into his dorsal fin.
"Arrrrghhh" Ash drove the last of his energy into this attack and floor started to give way and began cracking. Ash then drove the Garchomp into the 2nd floor before reaching ground level. Garchomp didn't get back up from this and Ash had spent the last of his energy in this attack. He collapsed to the ground abolsolutly exhausted and unable to move. Elekid then decided that this was his chance to murder the fool only to get interupted by a certain Pikachu and Ninetails.
