Luke was training on the Falcon with a training remote while Obi was watching. Padme appeared next to Obi wan. Luke was trying to block shots from the remote. "Remember jedi can feel the force flowing through him. "Obi wan said. "You mean it controls your actions? "Luke asked. "Partially and it obeys your commands. "Obi wan answered. Luke got hit by a small blast and stopped. "HA HA HA! Ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side. "Han said. "I want you to try again and let go of your feelings. "Obi Wan as he put a helmet with a blast shield down on Luke's head. "With the blast shield down how will I be able to see? "Luke asked. Luke ignited his lightsaber and started blocking shots from the remote. After blocking a few he stopped and lowered his lightsaber. "Your right I could almost see the remote. "Luke said. "You have taken your first steps into a larger world. "Obi wan replied. "Just don't try to make him follow that useless jedi code. "Padme warned. "The code has changed, and attachments are allowed now. "Obi wan explained. "I hope so. Kept trying to get Anakin to leave me. Did you think he mind tricked me into marrying him? "Padme asked. "No. The code didn't allow attachments at the time. I was wrong. "Obi wan said as beeping was heard from the console where Han was sitting. "Looks like we are coming up on Alderaan. "Han said as he and Chewie headed for the cockpit.
"I am cutting in the sublight engines. "Han said as he threw some switches. Alderaan appeared before them. Just then a Tie Fighter shot and then flew by. "It's a short fighter. "Obi wan. "Chewie jam it's transmissions. "Han ordered. Chewbacca push some buttons to cut off the signal from the Tie Figther. "A fighter couldn't get this far into space. 'Obi wan was puzzled. "He must have gotten lost as part of a convoy or something. "Luke added. They followed the fighter. "Look he is heading towards that small moon. "Luke replied. "That's no moon. It's a space station. "Obi wan said. "It's too big to be a space station. "Han said. "That is the death star. The empire's new super weapon. "Padme explained. "Let's get out of here. Chewie lock in the auxiliary power. "Han ordered. The ship was shaking. Chewie moved a lever, and nothing changed. "Lock in the auxiliary power! "Han ordered. "Why are we still moving towards it? "Luke asked. "We're caught in a tractor beam. I am going to have to shut everything down. "We are in trouble. "Han said. "There are alternatives to fighting. "Obi wan said. The Falcon was pulled into a docking bay. Tarkin and Vader were in a conference room when the comm beeped. Tarkin answered it. "We captured a freighter entering the Alderaan system. Its markings match one that blasted its way out of Mos Eisley. "An officer said over the comm. "They may be trying to return the plans to the princess. She may yet be of some use to us. "Vader said.
Stormtroopers walked down the boarding ramp from the Falcon and met an officer. Darth Vader walked over to the officer. "It must be a derelict. According to the log they abandoned ship shortly after takeoff. "The officer said. "Did you find any droids? "Vader asked. "No sir. If they had been aboard, they must also have been jettisoned. "The officer replied. Padme floated beside Vader. "I felt something. A presence I haven't felt since. "Vader said. "Felt something? "Padme asked. "You were in that ship. Who was on it with you? "Vader asked. "No one you care about. "Padme answered with a smile. Vader walked away. "Get me a scanning crew on the double. "An officer ordered. Two men carried a big blue crate towards the ship and stopped by a stormtrooper. 'Okay if the scanners pick up anything report it immediately. "A stormtrooper told the men. They carried the crate up the ramp and onto the ship. Some banging and bumping were heard. "Hey down there could you give up a hand? "A voice called from the ship. The two stormtroopers standing by the ramp went onto the ship and blaster fire was heard. "TK421 why are you not at your post? TK421 do you read me? "An officer called on the comm. He looked out a window down towards the Falcon and saw a stormtrooper tapping his helmet. "Take over We've got a bad transmitter. "The officer said. As the door opened Chewie attacked him and Han shot him and his coworker. The droids, Obi wan and Luke followed them in and Luke closed the door. "Between his roared and your blasting, it's no wonder everyone in the whole station doesn't know about us now. "Luke groaned. "Bring'em on. I prefer a straight-out fight to all this sneaking around. "Han replied. "We've found the computer outlet sir. "Threepio said. "Plug in artoo should be able to interpret the entire imperial network from here. "Threepio explained. Artoo plugged in and started accessing the computer system. "He has found information on the tractor beam holding the ship here. He will display it on the monitor. "There are several locations where the tractor beam is controlled. A power disruption will disable the tractor beam. "Threepio explained as a control panel over a shaft appeared on the screen. "I will disable it." Obiwan said. "Han can... "Luke was cut off. "You must deliver the plans safely or other planets could suffer the fate Alderaan nearly did. "Obi wan said as he left Luke. Chewie growled. "You said it. Where did you dig up that old fossil. "Han groaned. "Ben is a great man. 'Luke said "Great at getting us into trouble. "Han replied. Artoo started beeping frantically. "What is he upset about? "Luke asked. "He keeps repeating I found her and says she's here. "Threepio explained. "Who? "Luke asked. "Princess Leia. "Threepio answered. "My daughter! We have to save her. "Padme shouted. "Where is she being held? 'Luke asked. "Level 5 detention area AA23. "Threepio answered. "A minute ago you were bored and now you don't want to do anything? "Luke asked. "Marching into the detention area is not my idea of fun. Maybe your mother could get her out. "Han groaned. "I could get her out of her cell, but not out of the detention area. It's too heavily guarded. "Padme explained. "She's rich. "Luke said. "How rich? "Han asked. "As much as you can imagine. "Luke said. "Okay" Han said. "Could you hand me those binders? "Luke asked. Chewie growled as Luke tried to put the binders on. "Okay you put them on. "Luke said as he handed the binders to Han. "Don't worry I think I know what he has in mind. "Han said to Chewie as he cuffed the Wookie. "What should we do if we are discovered? "Threepio asked. "Lock the door and hope they don't have blasters. "Han answered. "That is not very reinsuring. "Threepio said. They left and headed to the elevators. Threepio closed and locked the door behind them. They entered the elevator and the doors started to close. "I can't see a thing in this helmet. "Luke groaned. They stood in the elevator riding up to the detention block. The elevator stopped and the doors opened to the detention block. They stepped out and stopped before an officer. "Where are you taking this thing? "The officer asked. "Prisoner transfer from cell box 1138. "Luke answered. "I wasn't notified. I will have to clear it. "The officer said as he signaled two guards towards the group. Suddenly Chewie started firing. "He is lose. "Han shouted. The group shot both guards and the officer dead. They blasted the holocorders and the proximity charges. Han then blasted the last guard running down the cell bay towards them. Han ran to the control panel. "We gotta find this princess of yours. There is she is. "Han said. "I can lead him to her. Follow me, Luke. "Padme said. They reached the cell and Luke opened the door headed in. "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper? "Princess Leia asked. "I am Luke Skywalker and I am here to rescue you. "Luke said. "He is your brother. "Padme said as she floated beside Luke. "I have your little R2 unit, and I am with Ben Kenobi. "Luke explained. "Ben Kenobi! "Leia shouted as they left the cell.
Tarkin and Vader were standing in a conference room when the comm beeped. "Yes "Tarkin said. "We have an emergency alert in detention area AA23. "The man explained on the comm. "The princess. Put all sections on alert. "Tarkin ordered. "He is here. "Vader replied. "Obi wan Kenobi? "Tarkin asked. "The last time I felt his presence was when I was with my old master. "Vader explained. "Surely, he must be dead. "Tarkin said. "Don't underestimate the force. "Vader warned. "He must not be allowed to escape. "Tarkin said. "Escape is not his plan. I must face him alone. "Vader said as he walked out.
They heard the elevator approaching. "Get behind me. Get behind me! "Han shouted to Chewie. The door exploded and stormtroopers rushed out blasting. Luke and Leia stopped behind Han. They moved to either side of the cell bay. "This is some rescue. "Leia shouted. "Perhaps you would like to get back in your cell your highness. "Han replied. Padme floated in front of the group and started blocking the shots from the imperials. "Somebody has to save our skins. "Leia said as she grabbed a blaster from Han. She fired several shots at the troops and then blasted the grate over the shaft to the garbage chute. "Into the garbage chute flyboy! "She shouted as she entered the chute. "Wonderful girl. Now that they are not going to kill her I am beginning to like her. "Han said as Chewie approached the chute. Chewie stopped at the chute. "Get in there. I don't care what you smell. Get in there. "Han said as he pushed his co pilot with his boot. Luke jumped in next, and Han followed him. When Han landed in the trash compactor he got up and looked around. Chewbacca was banging on the hatch leading out. Leia was on a trash pile to the left and Luke stood in the middle. Padme floated slightly above the trash. "This garbage chute was a wonderful idea. What a wonderful smell you discovered. Han turned towards the door. "Get out of the way. "Han said as he shot the door causing the blast to bounce off it and around the room. "I already tried i''s magnetically sealed. "Luke warned. "Put that thing away before you get us all killed! "Leia shouted. "Absolutely your worshipness. "Han groaned. "I had everything under control until you lead us in here. "Han growled. "Mother could you try to open the door from the outside? 'Leia asked. Padme flew through the door and stood on the other side. She looked at the control pane and frowned. Padme flew back into the compactor. "It needs a code key to unlock it. "Padme groaned. "There is something alive in here. Something just moved past my leg. "Luke groaned. An eye on a stalk popped up from the water and looked around. It dropped out of sight afterward. Suddenly a tenacle wrapped around Luke and dragged him down into the water. He popped up again. Padme pulled the Dianoga out of the water with her power and it floated in the air holding Luke. She shoved its bulk against the wall. "Drop him! Drop him! My son is not food! "Padme shouted. The dianoga dropped Luke. There was a rumbling sound and the creative still suspended in the air squirmed like crazy trying to get away. The walls started to move. "The walls are closing in! "Leia shouted. Padme dropped the dianoga and it started grabbing at the far wall from the hatch. "What is it doing? "Luke asked. "That rumble was a warning for the dianoga to get into a hiding spot before the walls started moving. It's stuck in here now. "Padme explained. "Try to brace it with something. "Leia said. They put several rods together making one long rod which failed to stop the walls. Chewie pushed on one wall trying to stop it. Padme hovered in the middle of the room with her arms outstretched using her power to try to stop the walls from moving. She could only slow them down. "Wait a minute. "Luke said as he grabbed his commlink. "Threepio Threepio will you come in. "Luke said. The droids had to out smart some stormtroopers that entered the control room. After Threepio told the stormtroopers he was taking Artoo to maintenance the droids made their way back to the ship. They hid behind some barrel shaped containers. "Thank goodness they haven't found that. See if you can locate them in a hurry. "Threepio said. Artoo plugged in and started searching the computer banks. "Use the commlink. Oh, I forgot. "Threepio said. "Are you there sir? "Threepio asked. "Threepio? "Luke asked. "We've some problems. "Threepio said. "Will you shut up and listen to me. They left the trash compactor. Han and Luke got out of their stormtrooper disguises. A roar was herad from the compactor and Chewie shot into it. He started to run away. "Come here you big coward. Chewie comes here. "Han ordered. Leia looked at Han. "I don't know who you are or where you came from, but from now on you do as I say. "Leia said. "Look I take over from just one person. ME! "Han replied. "It's a wonder you're still alive. Could someone get this big walking carpet out of my way. "Leia groaned as she walked around Chewie. "Really came you two calms down. "Padme asked. "Leia you are a mess. I can clean you up if you need it. "Padme asked.
They approached a viewpoint overlooking the ship. "There she is. "Han said. "Threepio we are right above you. "Luke over the commlink. "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought. "Leia said as she looked at the Falcon. They turned a corner and right into a column of stormtroopers. "It's them blast them! "The commander shouted. Han fired on them and then changed the stormtroopers down the corridor. "I have to give it to him. He certainly has courage. "Leia said. "What good will it do him if he gets himself killed. "Luke groaned.
Obi wan had finished disabling the tractor beam when Padme appeared beside him. "Obi wan. Vader is after you. Hurry back to the ship and stary there. "Padme warned. "Padme if I have to face him then so be it. There is nothing you can do. "Obi wan replied. Padme went to check on Luke and Leia. They were being chased by stormtroopers and got stuck by an open draw bridge. Leia hit the control panel and dropped the door behind them. "There's no lock. "Leia groaned. Luke blasted the control panel. "Quick we have to get across. Find the control that extends the bridge. "Leia shouted. "I think I just blasted it. "Luke replied. "Mother try the panel on the other side. "Luke said. Padme appeared on the other side of the shaft and tried the control panel for the bridge. It didn't work. "It's broken. "Padme shouted. Luke pulled out a grappling hook and cable from his belt. Leia fired on some nearby stormtroopers. Luke threw the hook on a light hanging from above and wrapping his arm around Leia. Leia turned and kissed him "For luck" They swung across the void and landed on the other side. "Beautiful. I only wish that was Anakin and me doing that. "Padme said. They headed on towards the ship. Obi wan was walking down a corridor when he encountered Darth Vader. "I have been waiting for you Obi wan. When I left you, I was but a learner and now I am the master. "Vader said. Obi wan ignited his lightsaber. "Only a master of evil darth. "Obi wan said as Darth Vader strike at him. Obi wan blocked the blow and the two continued to fight. Padme got between them. "Stop Anakin! "Padme shouted. They ignored her. The fight moved down the hall towards the hanger where the Falcon was. "Don't hurt Obi wan! Don't seek revenge! "Padme shouted. "No Padme let him go. "A voice said. Padme saw a blonde woman in a dark blue and purple dress appear before her. "Satine! What are you doing here? "Padme asked. No one heard or saw the two women talking. "He has suffered enough. Let him go. "Satine said to Padme. Vader backed Obi Wan against a wall near a wide opening leading to the hanger where the Falcon sat. The others were waiting across the hanger when the stormtroopers guarding the boarding ramp were drawn to the two men battling with lightsabers. "Let's go. "Han said and the group ran to the boarding ramp and the droids joined them. Luke saw Obi wan fighting Vader and stopped. Obi wan stopped and looking towards Luke. He held up his lightsaber and Vader struck him down. "NOOO! "Luke screamed. The stormtroopers turned around and started firing at him. He shot one. "Blast the door kid. Blast the door. "Han shouted. Luke shot the door control panel and the blast doors closed before Vader and more stormtroopers could arrive. "Obi wan I forgive you. You wouldn't give up that stupid jedi code and that caused your suffering. "Satine said as she put her hands around Obi wan's spirit. "Satine, I thought you hated me after Maul killed you. "Obi Wan said. "How are you here? "Obi Wan asked Satine. "I am an angel like Padme. I was sent to help you help Anakin and Padme defeat the Sith. "Satine explained. 'I am sorry. I didn't know. "Obi Wan sobbed. "It's alright now. "Satine said and then they kissed. "I am sorry Padme I was wrong about you two. "Obi wan said to Padme. "It's alright. Go be happy. You need it as much as Anakin. "Padme said. "Run Luke Run! "Obi wan shouted at Luke. Luke ran into the Falcon and the ship took off. Padme returned to Vader. "How could you kill your old master? "Padme asked. "Now he has paid for his failure. "Vader replied. "Anakin how can you live with yourself after that? "Padme groaned. Vader didn't answer. Padme disappeared and reappeared on the Falcon where Luke and Leia were sitting at the Holo table. "I can't believe he is gone. 'Luke sobbed. "He's not gone. He is with Satine now. "Padme explained. "We are coming up on their sentry fighters. "Han groaned. Han and Luke entered the turrets. They shot down all the fighters and the Falcon jumped to lightspeed. "That was some rescue. You know I even impress myself. "Han said to Leia. "That was easy. They let us go. "Leia replied. "Easy you call that easy? "Han asked. "They're tracking us. It's the only reason for our escape. "Leia warned. "Not this ship sister. "Han replied. "I only hope the information Artoo is carrying is safe. It's not over yet. "Leia said. "What's so important what is he carrying? "Han asked. "The technical readouts of that battlestation. Only when they are analyzed a weakness can be found. "Leia replied. "Listen princess I am not in this for your revolution. I am in this for the money.
