Sorry for the delay I got lazy. Once again since this is the beginning of the story so the fight scenes won't be detailed but I will try to make them as entertaining as I can. Enjoy.
Chapter 6: Unexpected Help
''I sure hope you don't mind me crashing the party!'' Jiraiya declared as he whips his head around, his long spiky hair flowing smoothly with his spinning head.
He then gives them all a big smile.
Kakashi, Guy, Naruto, Skarlet, Sasuke, the Raikage and everyone else just gave the Sannin a deadpan expression. Kabuto and the wounded Tayuya just glaring at the Sannin with heavily annoyed expressions while Karui and Omoi were wide-eyed at the newest member of the brawl. Feeling all eyes were on him and realizing he made himself look like a fool Jiraiya sweatdropped and scratched the back of his head while giving out a nervous chuckle.
"Heh, well I sure hope my entrance was entertaining. You see Kakashi I was tailing you guys since you left the village and decided now was the perfect time to announce my presence.'' chuckled the Sannin.
Everyone was just staring at the Sannin like he was the biggest idiot in the world and after a few minutes of silence Naruto would be the one to finally say something.
"Alright frog man who are you?! You can't just crash a fight like that!" exclaimed the blonde teen in frustration.
Jiraiya looked at the blonde boy like he was some kind of fool. How dare he speak to him like that!
"You better watch your mouth there son because if I didn't crash the party the Raikage would've quite literally turn you into the Yellow Splash." Jiraiya snarked.
"That is indeed him, Jiraiya one of Konoha's legendary Sannin. Just what the hell is he doing here?" the Raikage thought in anger.
"There has to be a reason why he's here. Please tell me all this is just some weird coincidence." Kabuto thought.
Naruto and Jiraiya stared at each other clearly aggravated with each other's presence and before either could say something the Raikage would be the one to make his voice heard. While he was shocked and nervous at the prospect of confronting one of Konoha's legendary Sannin he knew there was no way he could get out of this fight without getting hurt as he knew Jiraiya was one of the strongest ninja to ever come out of Konoha.
''Hmph, so the legendary Toad Sage joins the battle? No matter I am the Raikage I will show you why I hold this position with my raw power!'' A announced proudly before going into his chakra armor mode.
Jiraiya dispelled the toad he was standing on and turned around to face the Raikage and knowing he was the fastest man alive since the Fourth Hokage's passing his jolly expression quickly turned into a serious one that even Kakashi and Guy had never seen it on him before.
''Listen here A I don't care if you're the Raikage or some little brat like that blonde kid you tried to break in half. Just an FYI being a Kage doesn't make you the strongest ninja alive I hope you know. In other words I'll gladly show you why I earned my place among the Sannin!'' Jiraiya declared, ''And so what if you're the fastest man alive? That doesn't make you the fastest man to ever live.''
''Oh, burn.'' Naruto thought.
"Well damn Master Jiraiya that's a little harsh.'' Kakashi whispered to himself.
Jiraiya then looked toward Kakashi and Guy with a big smile on his face.
''You guys don't want to join in on the fun to show the Raikage why the three of us are some of Konoha's best? I'm sure your brats can handle those underlings of Orochimaru and A on their own.''
Kakashi and Guy looked at each other and despite getting bruised up by the Raikage a few minutes ago they still had enough strength to get up and fight. So dusting themselves off they got up and walked over to stand side-by-side with Jiraiya. Kakashi held his father's blade protectively in front of him and had his sharingan activated while guy got into his usual taijutsu stance.
''Sure thing Master Jiraiya. Glad you're here.'' Kakashi said.
''Yes! A most youthful trio indeed! We will fill you with the power of youth Raikage-sama!'' Guy exclaimed.
Jiraiya then turned to look at Naruto who was still sitting on the ground.
''Alright you three let's take on steroids over here. Naruto go help your redheaded friend out over there will ya?'' ordered the Sannin.
''Uh, sure thing frog man!'' Naruto exclaimed before running off.
With the blonde out of the way Jiraiya, Kakashi and Guy turned to stare the Raikage down and despite being outnumbered the latter showed no sign of being intimidated and only stood his ground clad in his famed lightning armor.
''You really committed an international incident just by attacking us Lord A.'' Kakashi said as he drew his father's chakra saber.
''With our combined youth we will defeat you Raikage-sama!'' Guy exclaimed as he got into his taijutsu stance.
''Fine then I'll show you the power of the Raikage and leave you a puddle of pulverized flesh!'' declared A as he goes flying toward the Sannin.
-With Skarlet and Tayuya-
''What the fuck and how the fuck did you use my blood as a weapon you red bitch!? You're some kind of freak that's for sure!'' Tayuya growled in anger as she parried a blow from Skarlet's dagger.
Tayuya didn't even get an answer from Skarlet as the Leaf kunoichi went for a flurry of swings with her dagger hoping to get more of her blood to use as a weapon. Seeing what the red-haired girl was attempting Tayuya used her flute to summoned a few spectral worms that go flying toward Skarlet but the latter ducks under them and goes in for a slash only for Tayuya to successfully kick Skarlet away creating some distance between them and taking her chance the Oto kunoichi takes some kunai and tosses them at Skarlet. Skarlet was still staggering backwards from the kick to the stomach and before she could raise her dagger to intercept the flying kunai Naruto appears right in front of her and tosses his own kunai and stops Tayuya's weapons causing both their kunai to drop to the ground harmlessly.
''Don't hurt my friends you failed musician!'' Naruto snarked, ''You good Skarlet?''
''Yes thanks for the help Naruto.'' Skarlet replied.
''Aw how cute of you to help your friend. She isn't just your friend is she you blonde asshole am I right?'' Tayuya said in a mocking tone which only served to annoy the two.
Naruto's only response to Tayuya's insult was to roll his eyes.
''Blow me.'' the blonde retorted.
''Fuck you pencil dick.'' Tayuya said before going in for an attack on Naruto and Skarlet by summoning more of those strange worm constructs hoping to get the two but the duo managed to dodge the blow and in perfect unison they deliver a series of kicks and punches to Tayuya making the Oto girl grunt in pain.
The redheaded Oto girl manages to summon more worm constructs and the Konoha duo were two busy laying into her to notice the constructs coming her way and the two of them are struck head on by the constructs sending them flying backwards for a moment before landing on the ground with a thud.
''Ah! Dang that hurt!'' Naruto cried out.
''Ugh, what a powerful attack.'' Skarlet groaned.
Getting up and recovering from her beating Tayuya spat a glob of blood at the duo before placing the flute on her mouth once more.
''You think those worms are hard hitting? I'll show you what I can really do!'' declared the Oto girl.
Playing a note on her flute a cloud of smoke appeared in front of Tayuya and standing in front of her was a humanoid creature that was shirtless and wears dark pants. It was bald, had scars on its head and wears a blindfold with claws on each arm. The sight of the creature made Naruto almost cringe at how ugly it was and Skarlet couldn't help but look away slightly as it was making her uncomfortable.
''What the hell is that thing?'' Naruto questioned incredulously.
''What an ugly creature.'' Skarlet thought to herself.
Tayuya saw the shocked look on their faces and couldn't help but smile smugly at them.
''You red freak you think you're cool with that freaky shit you did earlier? Let's see how you'll like it when my Doki cuts you to ribbons!'' barked the Oto girl.
Tayuya then played a brief melody and as if it was controlled the clawed monstrosity began dashing toward Naruto and Skarlet and the two Konoha Genin had to jump out of the way as they knew they couldn't take the creature head on. Both Genin whipped out some kunai and began peppering the Doki with the blades and though they hit it a number of times the creature just shrugged it off before swinging its clawed arms upward in an attempt to slice the two apart. Thinking quickly Naruto summoned two shadow clone and grabbed Skarlet before dashing back onto the ground away from the clones allowing them to take the attacks in their place saving themselves.
''Thanks Naruto I appreciate that. Smart move too.'' Skarlet said as they both land on the ground.
''No prob Skarlet. How the heck are we gonna deal with that big freak?''
Tayuya played another melody sending the Doki barreling toward the two while swinging both its arms in a maniacal fashion prompting the two to dodge and weave the attacks.
''Haha! You're both fucked!'' Tayuya shouted.
Naruto summoned several dozen shadow clones and ordered them to charge straight at the Doki who again take the hits from the creature and seeing it was too busy attacking his clones Naruto had an idea in his head.
''Hey Skarlet check this out.'' the blonde said before holding his palm out.
To Skarlet's surprise a ball of spiraling chakra formed in Naruto's hand and with a smirk of confidence dashes toward the Doki who was too busy scrapping with his clones he takes the chance to shove the rasengan full force into the creature's face as it takes out his last clone and sends it flying into woods crashing through several trees before dispelling in a puff of smoke much to Tayuya's annoyance.
''What the fuck kind of jutsu was that? Grr, this isn't good these fuckheads are better than I thought with their freak jutsu.'' Tayuya thought in anger.
While she was too distracted over the dispelling of her Doki she could easily call upon it again but before she can use her flute to do so She felt a presence near her and turned to look at Skarlet swinging her dagger at her and she just barely manages to avoid getting her face sliced open and simply got a graze on her cheek. Before she could strike back she felt a strange feeling where her injury was and saw that Skarlet perform a hand seal and she felt her blood leave the wound and form into another dagger in Skarlet's non dominant hand.
''What the fuck? That weird blood shit again?!''
Like what happened earlier when she witnessed Skarlet do this she was so shocked she just did not know what to say to the red-headed girl and out of instinct she raises her arm to protect herself from Skarlet's attack and gets stabbed in the forearm making her cry out in pain.
''Fuck! What the hell are you and how the hell are you doing this shit again you freaky bitch!?''
Skarlet only looked at Tayuya with anger in her eyes and before the former could attack her again a retreat whistle was heard in the background. The calming but ear piercing sound caused Skarlet to lose focus on defeating Tayuya and the dagger formed from Tayuya's blood disappears and makes its way back into the Oto girl's wound. Snapped out of her fighting mode she steps back away from Tayuya so Naruto can use a smoke bomb to cover his and Skarlet's escape leaving Tayuya in a state of shock and confusion.
-With Jiraiya, Kakashi and Guy-
Cloaking himself in his lightning armor the Raikage goes flying toward Jiraiya with his arm raised and just as he was about to cave in Jiraiya's face the Sannin performed a hand seal.
''Ninja Art: Needle Jizo!''
Seeing his opponent's hair grow into a needle like structure the Raikage pulls back as fast as he came only for Kakashi to come speeding toward him with his chidori and Guy flying toward him with his famed dynamic entry kick and he could only smile smugly at their efforts.
''Pathetic, they think they can catch me? I am the fastest man alive!'' A thought.
Without much effort the Raikage then speeds around him completely avoiding their attacks and goes to punch Jiraiya despite being in his defensive jutsu he knew he could still strike the Sannin in his face as it was completely exposed to an attack.
''Take this!''
Before he could strike Jiraiya he failed to notice the big shadow that loomed over him and just as his fist was mere centimeters from Jiraiya's face a fair sized toad lands on the Raikage pinning him to the ground much to his shock and awe.
''Ack! What in the world?''
He then sees Kakashi and Guy coming down on him ready to deliver blows but manages to summon enough strength to use his lightning armor once more and manages to free himself from the toad and goes flying into the nearby tree line and it was only then he noticed the impact of the toad crushing him broke his arm leaving him holding it in severe pain.
''Damn, I was too focused on defeating you to notice your summon coming down upon me.'' A admitted.
Just then A took a powerful blow to the gut courtesy of Guy hitting him with immense force it caused the Raikage to vomit a bit before Kakashi came forth with his chidori and went for a crippling blow aimed at his other arm but the Raikage shrouds himself in lightning armor once more causing the chidori to fail to penetrate his body and he zips away to create a few meters worth of distance between him and the leaf ninjas.
''I was careless again! This is a good enough reason for war between our villages with you attacking another Kage!'' A declared, ''Omoi!, Karui! Let's go we're out of here!''
Hearing the voice of their Raikage Omoi and Karui stopped fighting Team Guy and turned in the direction of their leader.
''Understood Lord Raikage!'' Karui called out as she used a lightning version of the shunshin to leave the area.
''Well I rather be doing something else anyway.'' Omoi said before he shunshins out of the area.
With the Kumo ninjas out of the area Kakash takes out a whistle and blows into it.
Elsewhere Sasuke and Kabuto were seen locked in a test of strength and while Kabuto held the advantage at being slightly taller than the Uchiha boy it meant nothing as Sasuke's natural talent and combat prowess allowed him to keep their confrontation even.
''You would make a good protégé for Orochimaru Sasuke.'' Kabuto said in a creepy tone.
The tone of his voice did nothing but annoy the Uchiha.
''I don't like creeps.'' was all Sasuke said before managing to swing his kunai at Kabuto which causes the older teen to step away from him.
The two males hear the whistle and knowing what this meant Sasuke disengage Kabuto and used a smoke bomb to cover his escape back to his allies. Kabuto didn't bother to chase after the Uchiha and when the smoke cleared he saw he was left alone and only smirked to himself before heading off to find Tayuya. He walks to where he last recalled seeing Tayuya fight that blonde kid and the red-headed girl and saw that she seemed a little freaked out from her fight and it made him a bit confused as he never saw his colleague look anything but arrogant but confident in her abilities.
''What's with the look Tayuya?'' Kabuto questioned curiously.
Tayuya turned her head after hearing her colleague's voice and she pointed in the direction Skarlet and Naruto retreated in.
''You know that red-headed cunt that was with those Konoha fuck faces?'' Tayuya replied.
''Yeah?''
''You see...''
-Forests outside Konoha-
''Thanks for showing up out of nowhere Master Jiraiya we really appreciated the help.'' Kakashi said.
After they had retreated from their unexpected confrontation with the Raikage Team 7, Team Guy and Jiraiya were seen resting in a small clearing in the woods somewhere safe within their nation's borders. While everyone got out of the fight unscathed save for Kakashi and Guy having a couple of bruises they were all relatively fine.
''No problem Kakashi I thought I'd teach that muscle head a lesson in humility. Though I couldn't have done it without you guys.'' Jiraiya replied.
''YOSH! A MOST YOUTHFUL ENTRANCE ON YOUR BEHALF MASTER JIRAIYA!'' Guy bellowed.
''YES! AN HONORABLE EXPERIENCE TO HAVE A SANNIN FIGHT BY MY SIDE!'' Rock Lee added.
Their loud voices and annoying enthusiasm only served to annoy the heck out of everyone, Jiraiya included.
''Uh yeah, what they said.'' Neji said.
''Sheesh you guys are so loud it makes my eardrums burst.'' Tenten joked.
''Kami these two bowl cuts need to cut that out.'' Sasuke said under his breath.
Naruto and Skarlet had no vocal response to Guy and Lee's antics and simply rolled their eyes. Neji and Tenten then knocked out both Lee and Guy and dragged them away to give Jiraiya space to talk with Team 7 about the events earlier.
Jiraiya on the other hand only chuckled at their antics.
''It's not really that big a deal guys. Anyway if you're wondering how and why I showed so suddenly was because I know about the mission Tsunade gave you guys. We keep in touch more than you guys realize and after hearing about it from her slug summon Katsuyu I decided to follow you guys on the mission and provide help if needed. Truthfully I was looking into this whole debacle myself in regards to Oto and Kumo ninja meeting at the border and after our little scuffle with the Raikage and those Oto ninja today it only confirms my suspicions.'' Jiraiya explained.
''It's enough evidence for our mission objective too so we can report this to Lady Tsunade and see what her approach is.'' Kakashi said earning nods from the rest.
''I agree and I already know what kind of approach she's gonna take in this. Knowing Tsunade she will make an attempt at diplomacy but that's gonna be tough with how hard headed and stubborn the Raikage is. He'll never agree to terms unless it heavily favors Kumo.'' Jiraiya seconded.
''I highly doubt that the Raikage were always known for being hot headed and to act without thinking. I mean it isn't uncharacteristic of the them but to attempt to kill a Genin as young as Naruto is where I draw the line especially my student.''
''Bah! That Roidkage tried to smash my head into the ground so I say we take him out!'' Naruto declared.
''Yeah then we have another war on our hands dobe.'' Sasuke said rolling his eyes.
''That is not a very wise decision Naruto. From what I have read in history books the last war left a lasting impact on all the great villages and even though ours has recovered greatly a war with Kumo will only lead to unnecessary death and destruction.'' Skarlet interjected.
''Oh speaking of which I don't believe I met your new teammate Kakashi.''
Kakashi turned to look at Skarlet and motioned for her to stand next to him and the girl did what was expected of her and walked up to her sensei and stood beside him and looked at Jiraiya who had a smirk on his face.
''Right, you remembered Tsunade saying Sakura's uselessness and obsession over Sasuke got her put in a psych ward for life. This is her replacement Skarlet Ketsueki.'' Kakashi said, ''Go on Skarlet say hello.''
''Oh um, hello.'' said the girl quietly.
''Skarlet? Never heard of that name before so I take it you're not from the Land of Fire?'' questioned Jiraiya.
''Um no it is a long story actually.''
Sensing the sadness in her voice Jiraiya raised his hand in front of him and decided to drop the topic as he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable talking about where she was from because he's seen that look and heard that tone of voice way too many times throughout the years.
''No need to explain so maybe another time. Anyway I'm gonna check on my spy network to see if I can get anymore concrete information on you know who. I'll be in touch with you through our summons alright?''
''Alright Master Jiraiya we'll talk again soon.''
Jiraiya and Kakashi bid each other a farewell and the Sannin disappeared in a puff of smoke.
After regaining consciousness Guy stood up rubbing his neck pressure point and noticed that Jiraiya was now gone.
''Where did Master Jiraiya go Kakashi?''
"He went to get more info from his spy network. You remember why we went on this mission to the border between Kumo and Oto?'' Kakashi asked earning a nod from Guy, ''Seems like Master Jiraiya is using his spy network to get as much info as he can about the sightings of the Kumo and Oto ninja meeting up regularly at the border. He knows they are thanks to his spies but he is still trying to get info on why they're meeting in the first place.''
''Understood.''
Guy then looked at his two students and noticed that Lee was still unconscious courtesy of Tenten choking him out to silence him.
''He just fell asleep Guy-sensei he was exhausted after fighting those Kumo Chunin.'' Tenten said with an innocent smile.
Guy then gives Tenten a thumbs up.
''As expected of my star pupil! Working himself to unconsciousness! Now I shall get your report about your battle with those Chunin!''
''I'm tempted to knock him out again.'' Neji groaned.
Kakashi only rolled his eyes at his bushier brow friend's loudness and turned to face him team to get their report on their fights.
''Okay guys I need you to write down what happened with you and your opponents so I can turn this in to Lady Tsunade.''
-Somewhere in Sound Country-
Many believed Oto was a village of its own but in reality it was a series of hideouts built by the third member of Konoha's Sannin Orochimaru. Years ago when Naruto was just an infant he defected from the village and became one of their most wanted criminals. He was known as one of the smartest ninja ever from his home village but he became wanted after his former sensei the third Hokage and his former teammates Jiraiya and Tsunade caught him conducting horrendous experiments on newborn babies he would abduct throughout the Land of Fire.
After fleeing Konoha he made base in Sound Country to continued to conduct his illegal experiments in peace. At the entrance to one of his hideouts we see Tayuya and Kabuto descending down a flight of stairs that led somewhere several hundred feet deep into the ground and soon they come across a set of doors. Kabuto would be the one to knock on the door and they were greeted to the sound of what sounds like people being tortured before the sounds ceased. After a few seconds of silence they got a response.
''Come in.'' a creepy voice ordered.
Kabuto then opens the door and led Tayuya and himself in and the room was revealed to be a lab of sorts that was littered with tables that had corpses on them and at the other side of the room they saw a lone figure messing around with what looked like the corpse of a male and they walked over. The figure was seen tinkering around with body parts and tosses what looks like to be someone's arm into a bucket but the sight of it didn't deter Kabuto or Tayuya.
''What happened?'' the now revealed Orochimaru asked without looking at his subordinates.
''Lord Orochimaru we met with the Raikage as usual but there was a major setback.'' Kabuto began.
''Go on.''
''He is still agreeing to our attack on Konoha but did not say which part he will like us to launch our joint assault. Before we could even come to some kind of conclusion we soon found ourselves engaged in combat with two teams from Konoha. One consisted of a team led by Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy.'' Kabuto continued.
''Mm, this story is getting interesting please go on.'' Orochimaru said as he disposed of the body on the examination table.
''Yes, I engaged one Sasuke Uchiha and Tayuya found herself fighting a boy who looked like Minato Namikaze and a...''
''I fought this other red-headed girl and you will not believed what she did to me.'' Tayuya interrupted.
Kabuto was caught off guard at the interruption and looked at Tayuya with a bewildered expression. His years of knowing the girl she always was so arrogant, rude and extremely cocky with her fighting skills but the sound of her voice just now showed that she had a hint of fear in it which was so uncharacteristic of her and it even confused him. Orochimaru picked up on this too and motioned for Tayuya to continue.
''You ain't gonna believe this Lord Orochimaru but this bitch used something I never saw in my life. She has some kind of kekkei genkai that I'm sure will impress you. This fucking bitch took blood from my wounds and formed them into fucking daggers and she stabbed me in the forearm with it.'' Tayuya explained without thought into her language.
Tayuya shows her bandaged forearm to Orochimaru to show she was serious and while that sounded far fetched the Sannin could sense the truth in his subordinates voice.
''Blood? Are you sure you weren't hallucinating?'' he questioned.
''No damn way! I know what I saw Lord Orochimaru!'' Tayuya replied.
This peaked Orochimaru's interesting in learning all the jutsu in the world and if there was truth to Tayuya's statement then he knew who his target would be when he attacks Konoha in several months.
''How does she look like? I need to know so I can get her when we attack.'' Orochimaru said with an evil smile.
''Her hair is red like mine and she's the same height and I think her name was Skarlet? Something like that I never heard a name so stupid sounding.''
Orochimaru chuckled hearing this and immediately knew there was something he will consider 'special' with this Skarlet girl from Konoha.
''This girl does sound interesting and I would like to see this blood ability of hers and if it is really true then she will be incredibly useful to me. I believe Kin would enjoy bringing her to me.'' the Sannin chuckled evilly.
