Loki's face softened. The rest of the world fell way and it was just him and Thor.
"I never thought-" Loki began.
Thor smiled and replied, "It was always this way."
Then, a thought his Loki and his face fell. "But what of Jane?"
It was Thor's turn to look upset. "She knew I loved you."
"So… she left because-" Loki felt terrible though he didn't understand why.
Thor shook his head. "She didn't let me explain. Just kicked me out." But his ever bright smile returned as her cupped Loki's cheek. "But now, I have you."
Loki chuckled and tried to act as he always did, with an air of arrogance. "Well, that is a plus." His nerves returned as curiosity go to him. "But what caused her to-"
Thor looked uncomfortable again. "I said your name in my sleep."
This shocked Loki. "That's it?"
Thor cleared his throat. "And while we… well… you know."
"What?" The surprise Loki felt overshadowed everything, though he would have found the situation funny otherwise.
"Don't make me say it here." Thor let out a groan, sending a wave through Loki that had him growing hard. "It is a private discussion."
"Ooh. Well, then," he placed his hand high on Thor's thigh and the other god sat up straighter, "let me show you that I am superior to any mortal."
As strong as Loki was coming on, boosted by the confidence in knowing that Thor felt the same as he did, the pale man's hand shook and Thor noticed. He took Loki's hand and kissed it, as if he were his woman rather than another male. Not that Loki cared. His heart skipped a beat all the same.
"Only when you are ready," Thor said quietly, well quietly for him.
This turn shocked Loki, who asked, "What?"
Thor repeated himself, though he decided on better wording. "When we come together, it will be when you are ready." He cupped Loki's cheek again. "I want you to be comfortable."
The care Thor was showing him not only calmed the storm with in him, but it caused a lump to form in Loki's throat. "I… uh… I don't know what to say."
"That you understand, ᛚᛟᚢᛖ- love."
Thor's smile was infectious, though Loki had a different name in mind. "I understand… ᛈᛖᛏ- pet."
They got up, paid for their meal, and began the walk home. As they made their way through a park, Thor took Loki's hand, lacing their fingers together.
"Why did you let me touch you?" Thor suddenly asked. "And kiss you?"
Loki knew those questions would arise and, taking a breath, answered, "All those… people… cared about was hurting me. Your touch held care. They never did anything like that to me… hold me like you did. I was just… a tool to fulfill their desires. To you… I was real, a person."
"You are more than that." Thor pulled Loki flush to him, unknowingly letting Loki feel his well endowed desire against his own. "You are my person, Loki. I want nor need no other."
It was Loki's turn to pull Thor into a hungry kiss. Thor tangled his hand in Loki's hair. Though it appeared greasy, it was softer than any silk Thor had ever felt and tangled in his beard as if trying to tie the two of them together for all time. When they pulled apart, both men laughed.
They finished the walk home, Thor acting every part the gentleman and Loki the bashful maiden. Though, the thoughts running through both their head were far from innocent.
