Ch 2
Scott had finished his latest book signing when he had to bail his daughter Cassie out of jail since she had joined a group of protestors when the police were clearing out homeless people in the middle of the night.
Then they went to Pym family's house where Scott and Janet learned that Cassie had made a quantum satellite and Hank's ants also got sentient since they were making their own tech
"People still need help, dad. That's why I made this. It's a satellite for deep space but quantum." Cassie explained. "We just need a map. And then we can study and explore the entire Quantum Realm. Never even have to go. You know, if I had something like this when you were gone... then I could have found you."
"It's amazing." Scott said after stunned silence. "I'm blown away. How does it work?"
"It's kinda like that two-way radio we used to have. You send a signal down from here... and then it collects the data, and it sends it back."
"Wait, you're sending a signal…to the Quantum Realm?" Janet asked slowly.
"Yeah." Hope replied.
"Shut it down. Now." Janet ordered.
Then she forcefully turned the machine off.
"Janet?" Hank asked.
"There's something I should have told you." Janet said, fear in her voice.
She had made a very powerful enemy down there.
If he got out, this and every other universe would be ruled by him.
Forever.
Suddenly, the machine turned back on and a blue burst of energy sucked her in as if an invisible hand had grabbed her.
"No!" Hope and Hank shouted.
Then Hank was sucked in.
"Dad!"
Hope turned on her Wasp suit, then let herself go in after them.
Then Cassie was also sucked in.
"Cassie!"
Finally, Scott was also pulled in and the blue portal closed, then winked out like they had never been there in the first place.
