On top of the cliffs just outside of Jubilife Village
"Down there, those are the Miss Fortune Sisters." Kamado said to Trap Ash as they hid behind his Torterra. "I must say I haven't seen many Torterra get to this size when in captivity."
"He's had a lot of time to grow. Dragapult send out the Dreepy." Trap Ash said calmly and quietly. "So let me make sure I understand what's going on. They know we brought the new Lord for the Cobalt Coastlands here, and it's likely that they know that we know they're coming here. But what they don't know is that we planned for this and never actually had the real next lord here and instead they're getting ready to take their job as we speak?"
"Precisely." Kamado said. "We need to make them believe that they are getting the next lord so that the new lord can take his position safely."
"So what do you need me to do exactly?" Trap Ash asked.
"Make sure they can't escape when they try to, if we startle them now, we won't give your friends enough time on their end." Kamado said.
"Consider it done." Trap Ash said, knowing Ark and Seer Ash would know the signal when they saw the Dreepy.
Above the Galaxy Headquarters Building
"Alright Dreepy thing, you can head back to Skirt." Ark said, as he and Toucannon were perched out of view. "Three bandits, three of us, and one Pokemon to protect, I just don't know why Grumpy and Bow Tie left for the Cobalt Coastlands when we're in such a tough situation."
In the training grounds
"Why are we acting like this?" Seer Ash asked.
"To present as being normal, we can't let them know we're onto them until we know what they're doing, besides you're still working on Iron Tail with Pikachu." Zisu said calmly.
"But they're trying to…". Seer Ash said.
"They're trying to do something they are already failing at." Zisu said.
"I know, I'm just worried that they'll find out." Seer Ash said.
"Don't worry, we just need to wait for the signal." Zisu said.
On cue, a Buizel rocketed through the Main Street, letting the group know the Miss Fortune Sisters found the trick Pokemon.
"And that's my cue." Ark said. "Toucannon, let's go!"
Toucannon grabbed Ark in her talons before taking off towards the beach.
At the beach
"Girls, we've been made." One woman said.
"Take the Growlithe, I'll take him." Another said, watching as Ark came in for a landing.
"I'm guessing you're one of the infamous Miss Fortunes." Ark commented.
"It's Clover and don't you forget it! I'll freeze you where you stand!" Clover said. "Abomasnow let's go!"
"Toucannon use Beak Blast!"
"Abomasnow use Icicle Crash!"
Icicles launched from Abomasnow's back as Toucannon rushed forward, the heat from her beak melting the ice as she flew in, striking the grass and ice type.
"Abomasnow use Wood Hammer!"
Abomasnow slammed it's arm down, pinning Toucannon to the ground.
"Toucannon use Rock Blast!"
Toucannon looked up, opening her beak and launching a series of rocks at the ice type, knocking it over and out quickly.
"Alright now to take care of you." Ark said.
"You're cute, but not that cute." Clover said as she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Near the Galaxy Headquarters
"Alright, it's our turn, looks like Ponytail took the attention of one of them." Seer Ash said.
"Another one?" A girl with blue hair said. "Keep going sis, I'll handle this child."
"So can I have a name?" Seer Ash asked.
"My name is Coin, and you are out of your league. Toxicroak use Poison Jab!"
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu let loose a thunderbolt that hit Toxicroak's stinger, traveling up one arm and out the other into the ground.
"Not what I was expecting, Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
"Toxicroak use Close Combat!"
Toxicroak landed a few good hits on Pikachu before knocking him away with ease.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
"Toxicroak use Earth Power!"
Pikachu was launched into the air by the attack, taking great damage in the process.
"Pikachu use Mimic!"
"Toxicroak use Close Combat!"
Pikachu slammed his tail into the ground, sending a shockwave that tossed Toxicroak onto his back in the process.
"NOW USE IRON TAIL!" Seer Ash commanded.
"Use Poison Jab!"
Pikachu leapt into the air, his tail straightening and gaining a metallic sheen as he traded blows with Toxicroak over and over again, managing to keep in the air the entire time before finally swatting Toxicroak away.
"We did it! We mastered Iron Tail!" Seer Ash cheered, hugging his Pikachu, and forgetting about the bandits, allowing Coin to escape.
Near the gates
"Sorry sisters, but this prize is too good to give up right now." The third woman said, running towards the empty gate with a Growlithe in her arms. "Hold on." She said stopping. "Alright where are you?"
"Smart, figuring out we wouldn't let you escape." Trap Ash said, walking out from behind a building. "I was really hoping you'd run into the barrier though."
"I don't want to fight you girlie, just walk away and no one gets hurt." The woman said.
"That's funny." Trap Ash laughed.
"What were you going to say the same thing?" The woman asked.
"No, it's funny that you think you can win." Trap Ash said. "Torterra let's go!"
"Rhydon, Gengar end her." The woman said.
"Torterra use Frenzy Plant!" Trap Ash called out.
"Rhydon use High Horsepower! Gengar use Dark Pulse!"
Torterra's vines shot out, entangling and stopping Rhydon as Gengar struck the heavy Pokemon for a small amount of damage.
"Gengar use Hypnosis!"
Torterra was lulled to sleep, falling flat on the ground.
"Now Gengar use Shadow Ball!"
"Dragapult use Dragon Darts!" Trap Ash called out.
Dragapult launched from atop the gate, firing both of his Dreepy down at Gengar, pinning the ghost type to the ground.
"No!" The woman shouted. "That's cheating!"
"Dragapult use Phantom Force!"
Dragapult disappeared into the shadows as Gengar broke free.
"Gengar use Hex as soon as you see it starting to appear!" The woman exclaimed angrily.
Gengar looked to see Dragapult having snuck around and grabbing the bag that held the Growlithe.
"Gar!" Gengar exclaimed, obeying the orders.
"No not at me you fool!" The woman exclaimed, taking the brunt of the attack.
"It's over, we have Growlithe back now." Trap Ash said, letting it out of the bag.
"Oh this is far from over, you haven't seen the last of us!" The woman said, running off after returning her Pokemon.
"So your's escaped too?" Ark asked, walking up.
"Yeah, but don't worry too much." Trap Ash said.
"But we should get this little guy to the volcano, you know, ascend him to Lordship so that they can't." Ark said.
"Ark, this Growlithe is just a wild Pokemon, he isn't the next lord." Kamado said.
"So it was a fake, why didn't anyone tell me?!" Ark exclaimed.
"We did, it was in the briefing we were given about this entire plan." Seer Ash said.
"Then why were we fighting so hard?" Ark asked.
"If they had any reason to believe that this little guy wasn't supposed to be the next lord, they would have raced to the Cobalt Coastlands, we were giving Ashton and Dick enough time to get the real lord there safely." Trap Ash said.
"Let's hope our diversion tactic worked then." Kamado said.
