*Midtown High, 1 week later*
Peter Parker walked into the high school with Liz Allan who had her arms wrapped around his while dressed in her signature cheerleading outfit.
Students all around the school looked as the both of them walked down the hall together. There had been rumors going about that Liz had gotten back together with Parker but it had to be seen to be believed considering their pretty public fallout. There were murmurs going around the hall as they passed.
Everyone had mixed feelings about the 17 year old geek. He had been given quite a few sympathetic looks as they had heard about his drinking issue and the fact that he had been in the hospital for reasons that nobody knew and Peter had not told another soul, not even Mary-Jane. There were a few envious looks as well as word had gone out about a 17 year old inheriting a billion dollar corporation and all the benefits that came with it. There were also a few nervous looks because they had heard about how people could develop destructive and bipolar attitudes from drinking too heavily. However, despite all this, Peter couldn't give a rat's ass about what they felt about him.
Peter had dressed in new clothes that Felicia and Liz had picked out for him after an unwilling trip to the mall that both the girls dragged him to with his new found wealth. They got him some new shirts, new jeans, new shoes, etc. He looked dressed to kill now in a blue button down shirt, black skinny jeans and designer shoes. Liz proudly hooked onto his arm as they walked down the hall.
They soon passed the In-crowd who were gathered around their lockers. Flash, his girlfriend Sha Shan Nguyen, Rand Robertson, Sally Avril, Glory Grant and Kenny Kong. They all glanced at the couple walking right past them without giving them the time of day. The group for the most part didn't really give any thought to this. However….one particular blonde cheerleader had some reservations.
"Oh...hell...no" Sally said, seething as she saw them walk down the hall. She started to walk towards them until Rand held her back, not wanting her to cause a scene. This seemed to have worked as she stepped back. However, this wasn't the end of things. She definitely was not going to let this go.
As Peter and Liz continued to walk down the hall, they saw something rather...peculiar.
It was Principal Davis walking down with a young woman in her late teens/early twenties. This particular young woman was wearing a crisp black suit with a white undershirt. She was also wearing a matching black knee-length skirt with black heels. This woman also had platinum white hair that was held up in a bun, green eyes and was also wearing glasses.
Peter's eyes widened as a revelation hit him. It seemed to hit Liz as well as her eyes also gaped and her mouth opened slightly with shock.
"F...FELICIA?!" Peter yelled in his mind.
"Ah, if it isn't the future business leader of tomorrow. It's good to see you back, Peter and Congratulations. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving man. Also….are you feeling ok? Anything you'd like to talk about?" Davis asked, growing a concerned face, fully aware of Peter's issues.
"I'm fine, Principal Davis. Thanks for the concern. I'm going to AA meetings for people my age and speaking with a therapist as well" Peter explained.
"Well that's good to hear. That's the right thing to do. It's good to know you're doing well. Also, I'm glad I actually caught you and Liz. I'd like to introduce you both to Ms. Felicia Hardy, the new teaching assistant for advanced History. She came very recommended by the school board" Davis said, gesturing to the white haired-woman.
Peter just blinked at the sight of his other girlfriend dressed as a teacher, having trouble forming a response to this.
"Oh, uh...it's a...pleasure to meet you ma'am" Peter stammered.
"Well it's very nice to meet you too, young man and you too, young lady" She said to both Peter and Liz who both just looked at each other weirdly.
"Well I have a few things I need to do in my office so I'll allow you all to get acquainted with one another. I'll see you later" Davis said, leaving them alone.
Once they knew they were alone, Peter turned to Felicia who had a victorious smirk on her face.
"Are you completely and utterly insane?" Peter asked her bluntly.
"Good to see you too" Felicia said, still smirking.
"What are you doing here?" Peter asked with a raised eyebrow.
"A better question is HOW are you here? How'd you get this job so fast?" Liz asked, raising the same kind of eyebrow.
"I'm a rich girl. I have connections within the city, including the school boards. And as for why I'm here, I decided that it's not really fair that you get to have him all to yourself throughout the day so I figure this is the only way I can be close to Peter while he's still in school " Felicia explained.
"...That's pretty clingy if I say so myself" Peter said, slightly concerned.
"Don't tell me you don't like it. It'll also give me a chance help you deal with the bullies you deal with as you've told me before. Besides, maybe when we start moving onto more...advanced areas of our relationship, it can give us an idea for roleplaying" Felicia said, winking.
"Felicia! There's people around!" Peter said, flushing and looking around frantically.
"Ah, don't worry about them. They won't hear a thing. Anyway, I gotta get to class and so do you. Oh and uh...don't be late or I'll have to discipline you…badly" Felicia purred as she placed a quick peck on Peter's lips so that no one would see. She then gave him another wink and started walking away, leaving him heavily blushing and stunned.
Liz shook him lightly to snap him out of it. Peter shook his head and came back to reality.
"Sorry" Peter said, letting out a small breath.
"It's alright. Can't believe she would actually do something like that" Liz said, shaking her head but she was actually slightly amused.
"Eh...I actually could" Peter said as they continued walking down the hall.
They continued walking until they passed Mary-Jane who was just finishing getting stuff out of her locker. She saw Peter and Liz walking by and quickly ran towards the both of them.
"Peter!" She said, grabbing his arm, causing the person in question to turn towards him.
"Oh, MJ. Hi. H...how are you?" Peter stammered.
"How am I? How am I? How the hell are you? I hadn't heard from you all week and I've heard so much since then. I've heard all about you binge drinking and if that wasn't enough, you spent the night in the hospital that I had to hear from my aunt about. What has been going on? Were you really that upset about Gwen? Why didn't you tell me?" Mary-Jane got out question after question, extremely concerned for her friend.
"I...I'm sorry, MJ. I...I've been through a tough time and I didn't want to worry you" Peter said, sheepishly, knowing that wasn't a good excuse.
"Well you failed. Big time and you better have a good excuse for not calling or texting me this whole week" The redhead said, giving a glare.
"I'll take the blame for that, MJ. Me and a...friend have been keeping him busy a lot" Liz said at Peter's side.
Mary-Jane looked to Liz. They had gotten along better ever since Mark had gone overboard and had tried to kill Spiderman though she had a feeling Liz still blamed her for her and Peter's initial breakup.
"So I see. I had heard you two had gotten back together but I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical considering how badly you two fell out" Mary-Jane said, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah. We managed to work things out. Now I'm holding on and never letting go" Liz said, nuzzling on his arm.
Peter smiled and kissed the top of Liz's head. "She's been a bright light in a pretty dark time in my life and I don't have any intention of messing this up again"
Mary-Jane had to let out a small smile at this. She had wanted Peter and Gwen to get together but she was glad to see Peter was happy after having such a hard time making him even smile over the summer. It was good to see Peter finally got something out of the raw deal he had made with Gwen a few months back.
"I'm glad to hear it. It's nice to see you two sorted out your issues. Say, Tiger, I have to start heading to class but why don't we catch up on lunch? I'll come sit by you and your GF, just as long as you both don't make it too gross" MJ suggested, playfully.
Peter nodded and chuckled. "That sounds great, MJ. Thanks"
"Alright. See you around" Mary-Jane said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before walking away. This caused Liz to raise an eyebrow but she got over it soon enough.
"She's great, isn't she?" Peter asked Liz who simply shrugged. They then continued walking down the hall.
*Meanwhile, in the boys bathroom*
Harry Osborn took out another vial of the Globulin serum and drank it fast. He didn't want to take it again especially after he promised Gwen he wouldn't but he felt he had no choice. Someone had to pay for all this and he knew the one person that needed to answer for his crimes: Spiderman.
It was Spiderman that caused all this. Spiderman that took his father away from him before he could demonstrate his true worth as a son to him, Spiderman that was the reason why his so called best friend was getting his company, the reason why his girlfriend was slipping from his grasp. It was all his fault.
There was nothing more that needed to be thought about in this regard. He knew what he was going to do and to do that, he needed the Globulin Green Serum, despite his promise to Gwen to give it up. Once Spiderman answered for his sins, things could start going relatively back to normal. No more serum, no more Spiderman and maybe Peter would start to see that maybe he was being pretty unfair to him and start doing things right by him again. Either which way, it was time for him to cowboy up and do what he had to do as his father had taught him.
