Also, please don't assume all chapters are going to come this fast. I am kind of writing more often than I thought I would, yes and I have an idea of where I want to take the next few chapters but there's always a possibility of a case of writer's block and considering where I want to take the story next.

Sorry for the ramblings. Just thought I'd put that out there).

Peter Parker walked through the halls of the luxury apartment complex where Liz's family lived. It was Friday night at around 6. He had finally gotten word back from Dr. Connors about Liz's test results and said he'd be willing to explain it to the both of them over phone.

The 17 year old boy walked down the hall until he saw a plaque that read 'Allan'. He stopped at the door and rang the doorbell.

After standing there for a few moments, a middle aged Latino man answered the door and looked down at Peter. He raised an eyebrow as Peter opened his mouth.

"Uh, hi, sir. I'm Peter. Peter Parker" Peter sheepishly said to who he assumed was Liz's father.

The Latino man continued to have his eyebrow raised until he let out a smile.

"Ah, Si. Si. My mija talks about you almost all the time. A pleasure to meet you at last" Mr. Allan said as he grabbed Peter's hand and shook it. Peter just smiled as he shook his hand back.

"Come on in. Liz is in the bathroom right now but she'll be out soon. You know teenaged girls and bathrooms can be" Mr. Allan playfully said as he shook his head and chuckled.

"Y-yeah. I guess so" Peter said as he gave a nervous chuckle. He had never formally met any of his girlfriend's parents before. Though then again, that was due to the fact that Liz was the first girlfriend he ever had and was always busy doing Spiderman stuff to meet them. He had technically met Felicia's father on two occasions but he hadn't really left on good terms with him on either and he would hardly call either of those incidents formal.

A middle aged Latina woman came out of the kitchen area and saw Peter walking in with her husband. She gave a wide smile.

"Peter Parker? Oh, it's so good to finally meet you" Mrs. Allan, he presumed, said.

"Thank you, Mrs. Allan. A pleasure to meet you too" Peter said, shaking hands with the woman.

"Come on, have a seat" Mr. Allan said, gesturing to a beige couch in the living room area.

"Uh, thank you, sir. I hope you don't mind but I actually won't be staying too long. I have to meet with a friend later tonight. I just wanted to talk to Liz about something real quick" Peter explained as he sat down on the couch.

"It's no problem. We've heard about how you're always on the move. Shame we couldn't meet sooner with how busy you are at the Bugle" Mr. Allan said as he sat down on a similar couch on the opposite side of the couch Peter was sitting on.

"Yeah. I guess you could say that" Peter said, rubbing the back of his head. As if he needed any more reminders about how terrible a boyfriend he was to Liz the first time around.

"You know, Peter, we've been hearing quite a bit about you in the news lately. Future CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors to Oscorp?" Mrs. Allan asked with a smile and a raised eyebrow.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah, that's true" Peter said, nodding with a slightly concerned look on his face.

"I like him already" Mr. Allan playfully said to his wife who in response lightly elbowed him.

"We also heard how good a student you are with you tutoring Liz and all. 4.0 GPA we've heard?" Mrs. Allan further asked.

"Yes, ma'am" Peter nodded with a bit of a cocky smile. If there was anything Peter was ever proud about, it was his grades.

"A smart, wealthy man with a bright future ahead of him? Finally, she brings home a winner" Mr. Allan said, kind of relieved.

"Oh hush" Mrs. Allan said to her husband, lightly slapping his thigh.

"Oh come on, were you seriously thrilled when she brought Flash Thompson home? I swear to god, there were a few times I wanted to throw him out the window" Mr. Allan said with disdain in his voice.

Peter chuckled. That would have been quite an amusing sight, he had to admit.

"Papi, Mama, who's at the doo-oh! Petey!" Liz said as she came out from the hall in her usual oversized sports jersey that gave Peter a good look at her legs which Peter had to admit were quite a treat to look at.

"Hey, Liz" Peter said, waving at her.

"Ay dios mio, girl, put some pants on for crying out loud. We have company" Mr. Allan chastised his daughter. Mrs. Allan lightly shoved him and lightly scolded him in Spanish.

"Ignore him, Mija. Me and your father were just having a chat with Peter" Mrs. Allan said to Liz.

"Ugh. You both could have told me he was here. Come on Petey, let's go to my room where we can have some privacy" Liz said, walking to Peter on the couch and pulling him up. She started practically dragging him down the hall.

"Leave the door open!" Mr. Allan called out. Liz did just that...technically. She left the door cracked (Which fit the definition of open in a way).

When they were safely inside, Liz threw her arms around Peter's neck and gave him a deep kiss with Peter holding on to her waist and returning the kiss. They stayed that way for a minute before pulling apart.

"Well that was a pleasant surprise" Peter said, raising an eyebrow at her as they pulled apart.

"Sorry. Couldn't help myself. I just still can't believe I'm dating Spiderman. Do you realize how much of a dream come true that is for pretty much every teen girl in New York?" Liz asked.

"Well dating Peter Parker certainly isn't so I guess I don't really notice the difference" Peter shrugged.

"Well believe me, they're missing out big time. Anyway, what's up?" Liz asked as she sat down on her bed with her legs crossed.

"I got word back from Dr. Connors. He has the test results back and wants us to call him so he can tell us together" Peter said, his face turning solemn.

Liz's face mimicked Peter's. "Oh...yeah, right. Sure. Let's call him up"

"...Alright. You mind if I sit down before we call, actually? I've just been walking a lot, especially down the hall to your apartment" Peter said, stretching a bit.

Liz simply smiled, nodded, scooted over and patted on the spot next to her. Peter obliged and sat down on the bed where his lap was immediately occupied by the Latina teen.

"Comfy there?" Peter asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Very, thanks for asking. Now call Dr. Connors up already! I want to know!" Liz practically demanded.

"Alright, alright. Relax" Peter said, rolling his eyes. He got out his phone and dialed Dr. Connors number.

After a few rings, the young, blond doctor picked up.

"Hello? Peter, is this you?" Dr. Connors asked over the phone.

"Yes, Dr. Connors. It's me" Peter said, smiling from hearing his old boss' voice from what seemed like a long time.

"It's good to hear from you. It's been a while. I hope you don't mind but Martha decided to join in on the call as well" Curt Connors said.

"Hi, Peter" Martha Connors alongside her husband said.

"Hi, Dr. Connors. It's good to hear from you too" Peter said. It was also good to hear her friendly voice as well.

"We hear you've been making quite a name for yourself up there, Mr. Bigshot. Future CEO and Chairman of Oscorp right out of high school, huh?" Martha asked.

"Well that's assuming I don't go to college first which I probably will" Peter explained.

"Well congratulations either way. We're both very proud of you, Peter" Curt said, practically beaming.

Peter just blushed as Liz hugged him at his side with an equally proud smile.

"Thank you. So anyway, I have Liz here with me. You've met before when she came by for tutoring that one time and we were….interrupted by Elect-...I mean Max" Peter explained.

"Yeah, I remember her. Nice girl" Curt said, recalling her.

"H-hi Dr. Connors. It's Liz. It's...good to hear from you again" Liz said, remembering their encounter no matter how brief it was.

"Hi, Liz. It's good to hear from you as well. My apologies for what happened to your brother. I...I wish I had been able to do something about it" Curt said, sounding a bit queasy about this for some reason. Peter raised an eyebrow at this.

"It's alright, doctor. You couldn't have known. Anyway, have...have you looked into whether or not I have some form of another of my brother's….genetic mutation?" Liz asked, nervously, although deep down she already knew the answer.

"Well...on that, I wish I had better news...It seems the experiment that caused your brother's...abilities, so to speak, only accelerated the mutations going on in his body already, it didn't create them. It looks like they were going to pop up one way or another" Curt said.

Liz looked down to her lap. Her worst fears over the past week had been confirmed.

"Fortunately, though, it seems your mutations are much more stable than your brother's, it would appear. It seems the illegal experimentation that occurred with your brother accelerated your brother's mutation to the highest level it could be, to the point where he couldn't control it. It seems that given the right opportunities, you'll be able to control the mutations within your body" Martha explained, trying to bring some good news into the mix.

"So...you mean my skin wouldn't get all fiery like Mark's. I'll...I'll be able to handle it?" Liz asked, gaining a sense of hope as she stirred in Peter's lap.

"Yes but it will require practice. I...I wish we could be there to help but uh…." Curt trailed.

Peter raised an eyebrow at this.

"Well…maybe Dr. Warren at ESU can help?" Liz suggested.

"NO!" Both Curt and Martha yelled at the same time over the phone. Peter was getting awfully curious about this.

"What we mean is...is that Dr. Warren...might not understand as much as we do about this. He might take it...the wrong way" Martha said, choosing her words very slowly and carefully.

"I'll tell you what, I'll look into some experts in genetic mutations around the city and give you a name. For now, I suggest you take your mind off this for now. For the time being, it's my theory that your...abilities will only occur based on your emotion" Curt explained.

"Yeah, it's been happening a lot because I've been getting angry at times" Liz said, nodding her head in confirmation.

"Well for now, just keep a cool head and make sure Peter gives you our number so we can be in contact throughout this whole thing" Curt said.

Liz nodded. "Yes, sir"

"Uh, well...we really should be going. We're going out for pizza. It's not New York pizza but it suffices" Martha said.

"Yeah, I bet. Hey, I, uh...I hope this isn't too out of left field but...I kinda miss the both of you here. Warren isn't really...pleasant to be around in the short time I've known him. He's...not like the two of you" Peter said with a solemn smile.

"Y-yeah, we miss you too, Peter. You, Gwen and Eddie. It's...not really the same without you kids around our office" Curt said, sincerely, Peter could tell.

"Can you remind me again why you left for Florida?" Peter asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, you know how it is, Peter. The board just thought that maybe with everything that happened with Eddie and everything, it was probably just best if we just moved on" Martha explained in a very melancholic tone.

"I...see...and this has nothing to do with any ulterior motive by Warren at all?" Peter asked. His voice grew accusatory.

"...Peter, I think it's best we just dropped this subject and moved on. We'd like to come back, really, we would but...it's not up to us" Curt explained.

Peter sat silent for a moment before nodding. "Alright. Well...I think it's time for me to get off but...I'll keep in touch in case anything pops up"

"Yes, please do. We'd love to help anyway we can" Curt said.

After that statement, everyone said their initial goodbyes and Peter hung up the phone. He stayed silent as Liz looked at him as she continued sitting on his lap.

"What are you thinking?" Liz asked.

"...I think something weird's going on with Warren...I think there's something more to this than security and I think he's in the middle of this...maybe Norman as well when he was alive. I need to get to the bottom of it...and maybe a trip to Oscorp will hold the answer" Peter said, stoically.

Liz just leaned down and kissed his cheek. "Well...if you need anything, just call me or Felicia. We're here for you"

Peter looked at her and smiled. "Yeah. I will. Thanks...anyway, what about you? How do you feel?"

Liz's face suddenly turned grim. "Well...I honestly expected it, really...but it doesn't hurt any less"

"I'm sorry, Liz. But hey, you heard Dr. Connors, this is a much more stable condition than your brother's. You'll be able to control this. You...just need to keep a clear head" Peter explained, kissing her on the cheek.

"I...I guess so" Liz said, still quite unsure of how to take this. On the one hand, she was scared of what the future would hold with this revelation. On the other, she saw...opportunities with this. Opportunities to atone for the wrongdoings her brother was forced to do several months ago. However, she decided to keep this to herself at the moment. Peter already seemed stressed quite enough with Warren at the moment already.

"Well...I think I better get going. I...I have something I have to do" Peter said, not really wanting to explicitly say he was meeting with Gwen.

"Oh. Are you meeting with Flash, Rand and Kenny for tutoring? I heard from them they asked you to tutor them" Liz said, smiling, happy that Peter and (most) of her friends were finally getting along.

"Well...n-no. Not tonight. I...I'm…" Peter drawled out without answering the question.

Liz raised an eyebrow. "Petey...what are you going to do?"

Peter, knowing there was no way out of this, decided to just spit it out.

"I...I'm meeting Gwen at the Silver Spoon. She..She wants to speak with me about something" Peter explained.

Liz's eyes suddenly went as wide as saucers.

"Uh...excuse me? You're meeting her...alone?" Liz asked with a bit of a glare.

"She just wants to speak with me. That's all" Peter said, trying to calm her down.

"Oh, really? Gee, I wonder what about?" Liz sarcastically asked, suddenly getting off his lap and 'hmph'ing as she stood in the middle of her room, folded her arms and gave an equally adorable and scary pout.

Peter stood up and went towards her. He hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek.

"Liz, I promise you, it's nothing. Me and Gwen...we're finished. I admit, I loved her in the past but now, you and Felicia are my present and my future. I...I love you both...very much and I wouldn't do anything to mess up what I have with the both of you...not again" Peter said, trying to calm her down.

Liz stood silently, not saying a word before getting out of his grasp and turning around.

"...You promise you won't do anything with her?" Liz asked.

"I swear I won't" Peter said, sincerely.

"Hmm….ok. Fine...just don't let her manipulate you into thinking you owe her or anything for breaking up with Osborn" Liz said, still giving a pout.

"She won't. She's not like that. Anyway...It's getting close to the time we agreed on so...I better get out of here" Peter said.

"Alright. Call me later" Liz said, leaning up and kissing him on the lips.

"Yeah, I'll see you later" Peter said as they parted. He then left the room and would soon make his way out of the apartment after saying his goodbyes to her parents.

She just stood silently in her room for a while before getting out her phone and dialed a number.

"Hey, Liz. What's up?" One Felicia Hardy said over the line.

"Hey, girl...we may have an issue" Liz said over the phone with a slight glare on her face.
