Saphira continued going through the cameras in a panic as she tried to locate Springtrap for several minutes. She had reboot the camera and vent system several times again, which was frustrating to her as it was getting on her nerves. The suspension really was getting to her and she was paranoid. She did not know if he was simply hiding in some part of the facility like he had before, because if he was, that would be good to know. But as there were not cameras in every part of the facility, she knew that he could probably hide as long as he wanted to.
Maybe I am really just paranoid…but…the way Springtrap came into the office, it seemed like he intended on killing someone. That is the vibe that I got…but I would want to know why. Foxy seemed to give a hint.
Saphira continued to click on the different cameras views before she finally gave up and slumped in the chair, waving her hand as her face was covered in sweat. She really needed to cool down. She grabbed the tablet and stood up, walking cautiously over to the door. She glanced out of the doorway to see if someone might be out there. But there wasn't and she tiptoes over to the hallway, glancing left and right. There was nothing. Normally it would be a relief, but for Saphira, it wasn't really at all.
She walked to the staff room and grabbed a cup from the cabinet and filled the glass with ice and water. She placed the tablet on the counter and looked at it, and glanced around the room thoughtfully. She had to think on what Foxy told her. She got the suspicion that Springtrap was upset that she had stopped coming to the restaurant when she was younger. But…she didn't know how upset he was.
I know when I would spend time with him, I used to believe he was alive…for some reason. And it felt like a real friendship with a real person…did he feel the same about me?
If he did, Springtrap would have been really hurt when she never came back. Saphira rubbed her arm gently as she thought about it while the sound system goes off and she hit the reboot for it. It felt right that she needed to think this over. After all, if all the animatronics remembered her, that meant there was a lot more to them than meets the eye. This was definitely a fact and this was something Saphira did not think was possible.
That doesn't really explain the breathing, or even the fact that they can smell for some reason.
She gulped down the last bit of water and she felt a lot better. With the tablet tucked under her arm, she walked over to the door and opened it slowly and carefully, peering around and glancing left and right. She did not see anything. She was relieved as she stepped out of the door and closed the staff door behind her. She walked slowly back to the office, hoping that the rest of the night would be relaxing.
However, as she made a right, or almost made a right, Saphira yelped and jumped back as she saw Springtrap standing in the doorway of the office. He had been waiting for her. He looked at her with glaring eyes and Saphira stared back. She took a deep breath and smiled a little at him. "Um…hi…uh, Foxy was here before…" The animatronic did not react and simply stood there silently. "He made mention of something…but…uh…" Saphira gasped when Springtrap began walking towards her and she stepped backwards. "Springtrap, I-I am n-not s-s-sure what is g-going on here, but…"
"Silence!" Saphira flinched when she heard his angry voice. She had forgotten what Springtrap's voice sounded like. It was deep, though with him being angry, she would not be able to really figure out who he might sound like. "I am not patient enough to listen to your stutter and whimper like a coward! But that is what you all do. Female or not, you are here, and we need flesh."
Saphira was shocked he wasn't listening to her, and seemed to be treating her like…someone else. "Springtrap, d-d-don't y-y-you recognize me?"
"You share the same name as someone I knew. So what?" Springtrap growled and clenched his hands. "Fredbear…" Saphira yelped when she walked back into someone and jumped away to see the large, yellow bear behind her. "Do you mind?"
Saphira stared at the large bear as he looked at her with his deep, purple eyes. "Not at all. But…" He glanced at Springtrap curiously with a slight smile. "It is possible, Springtrap…"
Springtrap roared suddenly, making Saphira jump and widen her eyes when he ran at her suddenly, grabbed her shoulders and threw her into the ground hard. Saphira yelped as she landed on her chest and grazed her chin on the tiles, the impact knocked the air out her lungs and she felt pain shooting through her shoulders and back. She glanced up as Springtrap glared down at her and she scrambled to her feet to run.
Springtrap grabbed her right leg just as she was getting up, making her fall forward again with a yelp, landing hard on her arms and she struggled and wiggled on the ground. "Nice try, night guard! But you will not get away!" Tears roll down her cheeks and Springtrap suddenly seemed surprised. She glanced down and realized that her necklace pendent had slipped out and was resting on top of the shirt. "Where did you get that?"
Saphira glanced at the pendent before she kicked at Springtrap's face, her heel hitting his right eye and the animatronic yelped in surprise. She watched him place a hand to his eye as she scrambled to her feet. Fredbear ran around Springtrap, and she ran from the bear. His footsteps were heavy and his stride was longer than hers. She glanced over her shoulder and he reached his hand out to her and she ducked and slammed the door open into the main dining room.
She stopped briefly when she saw Freddy, Bonnie and Chica standing between the dining tables, looking at her with strange expressions. She stared at them and wanted to say something when Fredbear shoved her into a table, making the table slide suddenly as her side hit the table. She grimaced and looked back at him briefly before she ran.
She glanced at Foxy who was watching her and his hook was moving around on his arm. He said nothing to her, other than gave her a look that made her feel like she was looking at hungry predators, rather than animatronics. She thought about shouting at him and begging for his help, but she had a feeling that wouldn't matter. He wouldn't help her, and she knew it.
Though as she ran, she yelped as she stepped on a tile that had been mopped earlier and it was still slippery. She slid forward and lost her balance, falling onto the ground hard, hitting the back of her head. "Ouch! That looked like it hurt." She glanced up and glared at Fredbear as he towered over her and reached down, hoisting her back to her feet. She struggled in his grasp and tried to get him to let her go. Fredbear grinds his teeth together and Saphira felt the hot breath on her face, and she almost felt like he was licking his lips. "Thankfully, this will quick…"
"Please, stop!" Saphira pleaded. "Fredbear, I don't know if you remember me…" His eyelids narrow as she spoke to him. "Don't you remember how we…"
"Oh, shut up!" Fredbear sneered and tightened his grip on her arms. "I do not know who you think are…" She glanced over Fredbear's shoulder to see Springtrap walking towards them slowly. "But I don't remember you." Foxy looked at Fredbear in surprise and shrugged a little. "You just share a name with someone we once knew. But she left, and we know she will never come back."
Saphira frowned and looked at him in disbelief. "But…I…never meant to…"
Fredbear growled and threw her into a door, causing it to bang open loudly and she lands on the ground heavily, groaning as she felt pain in her back. She glanced up as the animatronic stomped towards. "What happened to that promise she made? She promised to my face, on my stage, that she would always be our friends. Was that a lie?" Saphira scrambled to her feet and back away fearfully. "Because that couldn't possibly be you. You would be stupid to return knowing we are very hurt and angry!"
He swipes his hand and she yelped as she felt his claws rip through her shirt and cut her stomach. She backed away, feeling tears in her eyes. "I am sorry…"
She turned and ran, holding her stomach and she just caught Fredbear sticking his fingers into his mouth. "Mmm…sweet…"
She did not stay around and intended to make her way to the open windows in the Haunted Classroom. She avoided the Toy Plaza and she heard Fredbear chasing her again. It seemed he was allowing her to run, though she was not sure. She slammed the doors into the Haunted Classroom open and glanced around, half expecting the phantom animatronics to jump and grab her, though the distraction of her worry didn't let her notice anything until she nearly ran into someone.
Saphira shrieked as she stumbled backwards, only to have her wrists grabbed harshly. "Well, well…" She widened her eyes as she saw three, teens grinning at her. "You must be the night guard. Wow, you are hot!"
Saphira frowned and yanked her arms from the boy's grip, glaring at them. They all appeared to be about fifteen. She glared at the dark, blue haired boy in front of her. "You need to leave. It isn't safe…"
"Oh yeah…" He points to the blood on her shirt. "Looks like you like dancing with the animatronics, huh? Lame." He pushed her into the wall suddenly, making her grimace from the pain she was already feeling from the impact of the animatronics. She widened her eyes when he pulled out a knife. "See…sadly we can't have any witnesses. There's no camera here…" He waves the blade as he gestures towards the corners of the room. "But…" He glanced down and up her body and gave her a cocky smile. "I never thought the night guard would be hot!"
Saphira kicked at the boy's leg and he stumbled enough for her to push him off her. "Pervert!" She turned to run and the other two boys tackle her to the ground. "Get off me!"
She heard the doors open and glanced towards them with wide eyes, seeing Fredbear and Springtrap with slightly surprised expressions at what they are seeing. She glanced at the boy with the knife and he just grinned at her. "Keep her down, boys…" He glanced at her chest and widened his eyes. "That's a lovely necklace…"
Saphira glanced down and glared at the boy as he dropped to one knee. "Touch that and you're dead!"
"The kitten has some claws…" The boy grabbed lifts the pendent and Saphira struggled against the other two and try and get them off her body, angry that he was touching the necklace. "A little hard with some flowers…a piece of plastic shit…"
He wrapped his hands around it and Saphira was frightened that the boy was going to rip it off her neck. "Please don't! I-It's something very special to me!" She glared at him and tried kicking the boys. "Let me go!" She noticed movement at the corner of her eye and turned her head, widening them. "Oh, no…"
The boy hold her necklace was pulled back and slammed into the ground, the sound of the slam sent vibrations in the floor and the two boys holding Saphira down turn in fright, coming face-to-face with Springtrap. He was glaring at the boys, and the teenager he had just slammed into the ground was groaning and disorientated. He glanced at Saphira when she grabbed the pendent with her hand and scrambled to her feet, pressing her back into the wall as she stared fearfully at him.
Springtrap seemed to think about something before the two boys turn to run, only to be cut off by Phantom Freddy and Phantom Bonnie. They widen their eyes fearfully and glance at Saphira. "What the fuck is happening?!" She shook her head with an expression that told them that she had no idea.
"You trespassed…" The boys turn to Fredbear as he approached, gesturing to them slightly. "And you attacked the security. Well done…but thank you from dropping in!" He lunged with his mouth open and grabbed one of the boys.
Saphira grimaced as his jaw bit down on the boy's neck, and she heard the snap and his body going limp. The other boy tried to flee as Phantom Bonnie tackled him and the boy began to beg for mercy while Springtrap picked up the first boy and glared at him, tightening his grip on the teen's shoulders to the point she heard the breaking and the boy squirmed in pain.
She could not stay, she ran away from them, expecting them to chase her. But they do not. In fact, she almost screamed as Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy walk through the doors with smirks, glancing at Saphira briefly before she raced out the door and barely avoided Toy Bonnie. She glanced at them and ran away from them, hearing the sound of a blood, curdling scream from one of the boys and she covered her ear with one hand, while keeping the other tightly around the pendent.
Tears stream down her face. She wondered if Mike knew this was happening, and if these animatronics were even alive and capable of doing horrible things. She made her way back to the office, grabbing a first aid kit and hiding in the bathroom, locking it to try and clean herself up. She needed to put something on the scratch wound that Fredbear had inflicted upon her as well. She was overwhelmed with emotion and she sobbed loudly in the bathroom.
All the while wondering if Springtrap's intention changed when he saw the pendent. She didn't know. And she didn't know if she would come back. But she did not know if the rest of the night would even be calm. Especially after witnessing the animatronics kill three teenagers, and it seemed like they might…she saw Fredbear put his hand in his mouth after cutting her skin. And his claws were covered in her blood. She got the vibe that the animatronics were eating those boys.
But why? How? And who made them like this?
She didn't even know how any of this was possible. But for the moment, she didn't care. She focused primarily on cleaning herself up and managed to wash out as much blood as she could. She knew she was going to need a new shirt already, at least Mike gave her a few sets away so that wouldn't be a problem. Though wanting to turn in the badge already was high on her priorities.
Saphira gasped loudly when she heard someone knocking on the bathroom door. "Lass, come on out here!" It was Foxy! "I know yer in there. Come on out, lass."
She swallowed nervously and grabbed the doorknob and turned it, opening it slowly to see Foxy looking at her. "Um…w-w-w…a-a-are y-y-you here to…f-f-f-finish me off?"
Foxy shook his head and waved his hand casually. "Nope! Just wanna talk." He glanced down at her hand that was still clasped around the pendent. "Tonight, did not go how…I thought ol' Springtrap would'a talked with ya…guess he is angry…"
Saphira frowned at him and placed her hands on her hips. "Killing me wasn't meant to happen?"
The animatronic frowned a little. "It was." She widened her eyes at his honesty. "But I thought he would'a listened first…oh well. Ye were lucky, though. We were pretty hungry, so ye don't need to worry."
She shook her head and glared at him. "Why were you trying to kill me? Why? I didn't do…"
"Do not say ye did nothin'!" Foxy snapped. "Ye left us! Ye never came back!"
"Oh, that makes it okay?!" Saphira shook her head in disbelief. "I thought I would enjoy it here…being able to spend time with you lot again…"
The animatronic placed his hand on her shoulder and she tensed. "Don't think we would wanna treat this like it used to be, lass. Ye left. Ye abandoned us. Ye were the only whipper snapper who treated us right."
She had no words on that one. She didn't know she was seen as the one child who treated them well. She knew other kids were a little rough with them, but she didn't think it was bad. "I am sorry…" She looked away from him. "I…"
"Ye better 'ave a better story." Foxy turned away from her and walked towards the door. "We might not be hungry now…but wait a few days, lassie." He turned his head slightly and smirked at her. "That might give ya a chance…"
"Hungry? You feel hunger?" She blinked in disbelief. "Okay…that means…wait…" She shivered a little as she tried thinking about it. "I guess I should understand you eat humans…"
"Not by choice."
That makes it worse…but if they had no choice in their diet…and they're technically forced to spend all day with them…
She shook her head. "Foxy…I really didn't mean to stop coming back…but you don't know what happened ten years…and I just witnessed the animatronics I loved so much…kill three teenagers, and admit to eating them." She took a deep breath. "I mean…I can probably forgive you for that…but if you were trying to kill me out of revenge…"
Foxy turned to face Saphira. "Revenge? Nah…we are passed that. I am afraid, Springtrap just wants you gone. Ye should never accepted the job, lass. Ye would be safer at home." He loudly breathed in and smiled. "Fredbear is right, ye are sweet."
She played with the pendent with her fingers thoughtfully. "I suppose you are right…but…well…" She took a deep breath and looked at the floor. "I…almost died the day I went home…that day ten years ago…"
The animatronic was surprised and lifts his eye patch. "Wait…ye almost died? How?"
"Well…um…you remember by younger brother, Jeremy?" The animatronic thought about it for a moment. "He was five, you may not have met him since he liked the Toy Plaza a lot. I know Toy Bonnie would remember him."
"Hmm…" He tapped his hook on the side of his snout. "I know Toy Foxy told me somethin' about ye havin' a brother…" He shrugged a little. "What 'bout him?"
She felt tears fall from her eyes and sniffled. "Well…when we left the restaurant that afternoon…we were driving home and went through a green light. But someone ran the red light, hit our car and flipped it." She shivered as she still remembered that day. "I remember feeling my body press into the side of the car with the seatbelt digging into my skin. I couldn't scream because of shock, but the sound of crunching metal and shattering glass will always echoed in my mind. I walked away with a broken arm…Jeremy…well…he died on impact…." Foxy did not interrupt as he listened to her. "I know it wasn't your fault…but we all became bitter about the restaurant. Even after we recovered…I lost someone I cared about that day, Foxy, and while I had thought about coming back every once in a while, the memory of the accident just came back."
Foxy tilts his head a little. "Hmm…I guess that makes sense…" Saphira looked at him in surprise. "We do not know what it is like to go through a car accident, lass. We never leave the buildin'. We see the cars, but…we don't know nothin' about them. But if yer arm was broken from the accident, yer brother died from impact…that does make me think they are dangerous."
Saphira swallowed nervously, hoping that they can understand. "I hope everyone else will understand."
Foxy smiled slightly at Saphira. "Well…I cannot promise that. But…I see now…your alibi might be valid." He turned to the door. "I hope ye think we won't let ye be later this week. Ye story might be true, but we will need to eat in a few days. I am sorry to tell ya, but be prepared."
Saphira watched the animatronic walk by the office and she took a seat at the desk, looking up at the ceiling. She felt she might be a bit crazy for staying where she was, and not fleeing the building. But she guessed she wouldn't need to…provided Springtrap did not try to attack her. But she didn't want to think about that. She glanced at the tablet when the alerts go off again and she hits the reboot all option and simply sat there, thinking about everything and how she was going to proceed the next day and week.
