After Saphira had got home from her first shift and went for a shower, she found the bruises on her body from the impacts she had endured while she was at the attraction. Though she primarily had bruises on her right side where she hit the table thanks to Fredbear. She rubbed gently as it was really blue from the impact. The scratches on her stomach were still raw and she applied some ointment onto them to get them to heal faster. Though while she was taking care of herself, Saphira couldn't help but think about Fazbear Horror and Pizzeria Attraction, and everything that had happened there on her first shift.

She couldn't get the words spoken to her out of her head. There was just so much to think about. And she couldn't get rid of the guilt she had for unintentionally causing pain to the animatronics. It was never her intention. She hoped that they could understand that. She was glad that she kept the necklace all these years. It was her reminder of how good of a friendship she had with Springtrap. It seemed like that they could not be friends again. He seemed like that he did not want to be her friend. But she wondered if that was really true.

She did not tell her parents about what had happened, and acted like her first shift at the attraction was all good. And they seemed to believe she had a very easy time at the establishment and there was nothing to worry about. And Saphira wanted to keep it that way. There was no way she was going to scare them by telling them what she had experienced. They would no doubt try to shut the place down.

Saphira felt a bit compelled to find out why and how these animatronics were created. It was not normal. She could tell that the animatronics were breathing. Their shoulders didn't move up and down, but they were definitely breathing. They could smell, they had memories, they feel hunger and she wondered if they even had a heart beating inside them. She wasn't sure. She wondered if she should maybe take a closer look at a few things.

I wonder if Mike knows. I think he does, or he wouldn't be regularly hiring new night guards.

Saphira would go to bed with these thoughts and find that she had a rough time falling asleep. Too much was on her mind, but she eventually managed to get enough sleep to wake up and feel rested enough. She didn't have to go to the attraction as early as she didn't need another tour of the premise.

She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and put her uniform on, she made sure she looked very neat and tidy. She sprayed herself with some perfume, a favorite one that had a mixture of rose, calendula and chamomile for the scent. She breathed it in happily and put her necklace on. She would never leave without it. She glanced towards the cabinet she had that used to be filled with merchandise she had gotten from the establishment. It had just about everything, but the one thing Saphira could never find was merchandise with Springtrap on it. She always thought it was silly, but that was the choice of the establishment.

Once she was ready, she grabbed the keys for her Corolla and walked out of the house. Her sister was in bed and her parents were watching the TV at the moment. She packed some snacks again, even though she was not sure if she would even get to eat any of it again tonight, and made her way out to her car to drive to the attraction. She felt nervous as she knew that she was told to not go back by the animatronics, but she was feeling a little bit stubborn and wanting to know more about them.

They were my friends, so I feel like I owe them. After all, it seems like they're very much trapped in themselves too. That's what it seemed like from Mangle's words. I actually feel sorry for them. I know they killed those teenagers, but a lion kills a zebra to survive all the time too…I guess that's a way to look at this. Even if it's not the best thing to think about.

She drives through the city to the attraction and parked the car in the car lot. She saw it was another busy night. It seemed about the same as Monday and that was perfectly fine. Saphira stepped out of the car and made her way towards the back door. She hummed to herself as she made her way to the door and unlocked it with her key, and opened it. She closed the heavy door behind her and walked to the office door.

Mike was sitting at his desk, typing away at his computer. He glanced at Saphira and smiled at her. "Evening, Saphira. You caught me just as I was finishing up some important paperwork." She smiled at him as she walked over to her desk and placed her bag on the shelf. "How was your first night?"

Saphira tensed a little and shrugged. "It was quite breezy." He glanced at her with a curious expression. "I didn't have any issue at all last night. I rebooted the systems as needed and nothing really happened to report, so it was a very breezy, easy night."

He nodded slowly and smiled at her. "Sounds like as it should be. You'll probably have another easy night tonight. Were you able to fit in some of your schoolwork?"

She looked at him and nodded. "Yep, I did. I don't have much trouble with it anyway." She glanced at what he was typing and raised an eyebrow. "New merchandise?"

"Yes, we are finally getting some new Springtrap merchandise," He said as he looked back at the screen. "We started creating the merchandise a few years ago, mainly to be a limited-edition kind of thing. And we always bring it out around February."

Saphira was intrigued as she had never seen that. "Too bad you never did that when I was coming here as a kid. I would have had quite the collection."

The man looked at her with a grin. "If you would like, every employee is entitled to two pieces of any new merchandise that we get in. You can pick whatever you want. A plush, a snow globe, jewellery…"

"I think I would like the plush and the snow globe," Saphira interrupts the man, surprising him as he looked at her with his brown eyes. "Oh, sorry…I should not have interrupted." She grabbed her timecard to clock herself on. "But those are the two things I would like. I'll probably buy the rest."

He chuckled softly in amusement. "I forgot that Springtrap was your favorite. It fascinates me that February is the only month he gets popular, and then guests just forget about him afterwards. I mean, people still don't really hang around him. His design was too good, I guess."

"Not enough to scare me." Saphira took a seat at her desk with a sigh and flicked through the cameras casually. "Otherwise I would not have spent the time I did with him as a kid."

"It always takes one special kid. I guess you weren't bothered by what he looked like." Mike groaned as he finished typing and sent away the information regarding the new merchandise. He leaned back and rubbed his face. "I suppose not many kids seem to think that way."

She shrugged a little. "I guess so. Even the adults. I never thought he was that bad. I am sure somone else will adore Springtrap eventually, not just me."

The man nodded as he stood up and stretched his arms. "Alright. I have done everything that I need to. Today's been quite busy for me." She looked at him with a polite smile as he gathered his things and put his computer into sleep mode. "I hope you have a good rest of the night. I know I might normally be here until about ten, but I really had a long day. Take care, and I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yep, I will be here!" She said confidently as the man walked out of the office. "Have a good rest of the night, Mike. And rest easy."

The man said nothing more as he walked out of the office. She was left alone for a moment and Saphira could only watch the cameras and keep an eye on the staff. But that did not mean she wasn't already thinking on what more to do. She waited fifteen minutes before she got up from her chair and walked over to Mike's filing cabinet. She opened the drawers carefully and looked through them. It took her a moment before she found the right drawer with everything about the attraction.

Merchandise…Sales…Advertisements…Kitchen Items…ah ha! Animatronics!

Saphira grabbed the folder carefully out of the drawer and closed it before walking back to her desk to sit down. She placed the folder on the desk and opened it. She saw that on the first page there were Mike's initials. But underneath there was another line. Created and Produced by W.A. She frowned and wondered who that was. Seemed like Mike was the co-owner of the place that produces the animatronics, while this W.A made them.

She flipped the page and saw images of the original Fredbear, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. She knew this because these animatronics did look slightly different to the ones that were in the attraction right now. Mainly in their movements and the design of their limbs. Fredbear had the most noticeable changes. His limbs used to just have two joints with the microphone glued to his hand and he only moved in a few ways. Now his limbs had multiple joint connections and moves more fluidly like a human than a robot. This was same with the other four animatronics.

She saw notes written about where the inspiration came from and how the animatronics can prove useful. The next page was surprising to her. It was a list of places where organ donations were kept, even a black-market listing. Seemed like that there was some purchasing of human organs, which was extremely weird. Even list to blood banks and animal research labs.

This is weird…

She turned the page again and saw there was an unusual study in the folder. Seemed to be a study on metal and living organisms, which was odd. She could tell the study didn't seem official, but from what she could understand, this was a study showing that it was possible to infuse organic matter with metal.

She jumped when she heard other employees approaching the office and she hid the folder in one of the drawers in her desk. She didn't want to risk being caught tampering with company files. She looked at the computer and glanced as the employees walk in to clock out and go to the lockers to grab their stuff to leave. She did say hello to them to be polite, though most didn't really acknowledge her.

They must be used to regular new hires.

That would explain why they didn't really pay much attention to her, and that was fine. Saphira decided to wait until she was alone to keep going through the file. She knew it was an important piece of information. Especially as she wanted to learn more about the animatronics and why they were alive. If they had donated organs inside them, that would be interesting. Though the study about metal and flesh was also something she was curious about.

Someone out there has been doing experiments…and Mike is a part of it. And they have created beings that are alive and forced to behave like actual animatronics…that's kind of messed up, honestly.

Saphira didn't know if what she was reading was actually correct in how the animatronics were alive. But these were definitely hints as to how they are alive. She wanted to know more about them. After all, it made no sense that they were even alive to begin with. She would accept that they could have advanced AI if they remembered her. But this was beyond that. They were alive, and they don't even know how or why.

That must mean that when they first open their eyes…they were here in the establishment with expectations already put on them.

Saphira felt tears in her eyes as she thought about it. She really did feel sorry for the animatronics. Especially if that is how their lives began. She guessed when she met Springtrap, he must have felt like he found someone special in his life. After all, being made to act a certain way without causing a scene must be hard. Even if this was all they knew of their life. She wondered if they would look outside sometimes and wonder how things could be like if they weren't caged up.

Saphira swallowed her tears and took a deep breath. Looking at it from a totally different perspective really made her think. She hoped that the animatronics would be okay with her being there tonight. She knew they might get mad at her, and she understood that they were just trying to get her to leave so they don't kill her. There was probably a part of their conscious that they did not want to hurt her. Mangle seemed to know that too.

But I can't leave. This might not be any of my business, but now that I know more about them, I want to help in someway.

When eleven came around and the last of the employees left, Saphira grabbed the file back out and opened it. She widened her eyes when she found blueprints for all of the animatronics. She didn't flip the page though, as she was looking at Bonnie and Chica's blueprints at the moment. And they showed a lot of their internal bodies. As she looked over the images, she saw that the animatronic were very strong, had pretty much every human organ in their bodies, a strange brain and even sexual organs.

Saphira closed the folder at that as she was not expecting that. It never occurred to her that it was possible. Now she could not get that out of her head. Deciding she's seen enough, she walked over to the filing cabinet to place the folder back into the correct drawer. Once that was in, Saphira had to think on what she should do. If Springtrap went through with trying to ensure she would leave, she had to probably defend herself.

She glanced at the crowbar that was still leaning against the wall. She didn't want to hurt the animatronics, but she knew she should defend herself if needed. She glanced at the time again. It was fifteen past twelve. At least she won't need to worry about the systems until it hit twelve. She grabbed a flashlight and turned it on before heading out of the office. She wasn't expecting the animatronics to move until twelve so she could do her rounds through the attraction just fine. At least she hoped so.

As she walked down the hall to head to loading dock, she felt a little more confident in getting around. Though she felt goose bumps and she felt like someone was watching her. She stopped and turned, shining her light back down the hallway. She thought maybe it was Mangle and looked up at the ceiling. But there was nothing. She still could not shake the feeling of being watched. She thought about going back to the office to check where the animatronics were, but decided it might not be a good idea.

She entered the loading dock area to check the door. She was surprised it was unlocked and maybe sure to lock it before heading towards the kitchen. She didn't feel like she was being watched not, and that was good. But she was still weary of the possibility. She made her way through the kitchen area, making sure there was nothing unusual.

Though as she walked through the kitchen, she thought she heard giggling. She stopped and turned on her heel with a frown, shining the light around. "Alright, I heard you. Come on out!" She had no response, aside from more giggles. They sounded nervous now and Saphira walked towards the laughter. "I am not joking. Come out…" She gasped when she saw the shadow of two, teen girls stand from behind a counter and run out. "HEY! Get back here!"

Saphira ran after the girls to stop them as they rush out of the kitchen. She saw they must have run out into Fredbear's dining area. Though she came to a stop when she heard the sound of screaming. Saphira knew what that meant and ran towards the door and slammed it open just as she was met with the sight of Fredbear impaling his claws into one of the girl's necks. Saphira stared in horror as he turned his head with blood splatter on his face. The girl he held convulsed as she lost blood quickly while gasping for air. The other girl fled the room.

Saphira turned away from Fredbear and heard the scream from the second girl before it was cut over quickly with the sound of something snapping. Fredbear dropped the girl's body to the floor and stepped closer to Saphira. She backed away from him nervously. "You were warned not to come back…but thank you for finding these little trespassers. I'll be sure to inform Springtrap of them."

Saphira felt like she was going to be sick. She took a deep breath and looked back at Fredbear as she breathed in nervously. "I…I'm not mad that you…kill to eat, Fredbear." He rolled his eyes at her. "But…I…I…"

Saphira felt her stomach twist and she ran around Fredbear quickly, trying to ignore the smell of blood. She rushed out of the room and nearly ran directly into Bonnie and Chica. The two of them looked at her in surprise as she stared back before dashing into the nearest women's bathroom. She rushed over to the toilet and almost barely made it before she began to heave her stomach contents into the toilet.

She grimaced as she heaved into the toilet with tears stinging her eyes. She groaned as the stomach acid burned her throat from the puking and she took deep breaths once it was done. She was trembling from the heaving and what she had seen as she stood up slowly and flushed the toilet. She wiped her forehead and turned around, yelping when she saw Springtrap standing in front of the vanities.

She widened her eyes and tensed as she was not expecting to see him. "Uh…hi…"

Springtrap narrowed his eyes at her and clenched his hands. "Did I not warn you not to return?" She nodded a little. "And yet, you are here." He stepped closer to her with a growl. "Why? Are you trying to get yourself killed? Because that is what will happen to you!"

Saphira opened her mouth a few times before she spoke. "B-Because…uh…I-I d-d-don't think I can leave." He growled at her again. "But it is…b-b-because…"

"I don't care about what excuses you have, Saphira!" He stepped forward and grabbed her right arm and pulled her from the cubicle, making her shriek and he pressed her against the wall, glaring at her with his bright, silver eyes. "You clearly think that you will be lucky all the time, don't you? First those boys, now the girls…your luck will run out. Our hunger will take over, Saphira." He leaned in and sniffed, though he leaned back with a surprised expression. "That's not your scent."

Saphira smiled a little. "That's my perfume…"

He blinked a few times before glaring and throwing her to the ground, she yelped as she landed on her elbow and winced her funny bone screams at her. She clutched her elbow and scrambled to her feet. "That will not cover up your blood, Saphira." He stalked towards her slowly. She backed away as he approached her. "It is by far the sweetest I have smelt."

She shivered at his admittance. "So…you will be happy if you kill me?"

He frowned at her. "Do not try and make me feel guilty for you, Saphira. We might have been friends, but that was in the past." He pushed her towards the bathroom door and she hits it, banging it open and falling backwards. Saphira scrambled backwards fearfully as Springtrap walked towards her. "You are nothing more than prey to me. A feast."

Saphira said nothing more and scrambled to her feet to run as Springtrap shoved her against into the wall. She yelped as the force of the shove was stronger than before and she grimaced at the pain. She knew nothing was broken, not yet, and she placed her hand on the wall as she braced herself as she stood up slowly. She wanted to say something, but she could not.

Springtrap continued approaching her and he prepared to grab her again. She ducks from his grasp and ran from him. He turned his head and glared at her. "Keep running! You keep this sport very interesting!"

Saphira ran towards the Toy Plaza before skidding along the ground and running towards Chica's Love Chapel. She heard Springtrap running after her and his strides were much longer than hers. She got it that he was serious about what he had said to her. She shrieked when she tripped over a cleaning cart and fell flat into a puddle of water.

She grimaced and as she caught the smell of grey water. "Ew…there's a burst pipe."

She stood back up and glanced back to see Springtrap turning the corner. She ran towards the chapel while shaking off as much of the water as she could before running through the doors and ran into the first door to the right and shutting it carefully, making sure it did not click. She turned to look around at a bedroom with a king bed and ran over to the bed for a moment, thinking about hiding under it before running over to a closet and opening the sliding door and stepping inside.

Just as she closed it, Springtrap slammed the door open and growled. "You cannot hide from me, Saphira! I can smell you…your perfume might be tarnished by that water, but I still smell you." He walked towards the bed as he followed the damp footprints on the carpet. He growled softly as he looked at the carpet. "I gave you a chance to leave, and you chose not to." He turned towards the closet and she covered her mouth to try not to whimper loudly. "So perhaps I should stop giving you a chance."

She trembled as he stomped towards the closet and she ducked for a moment as he slid the door open and she ran out, ducking between the animatronic's legs. He looked down in surprise and shock and turned as she ran to the door. She stopped and looked back at him. "I stayed because…I…I want to…"

He let out a shrill scream at her suddenly, making her cover her ears as she's never heard that before. She ran out of the door as she ran to her. "No! We are not friends!" He grabbed the back of her shirt and Saphira shrieked as she was pull back to the ground. She was lucky it was carpet, though when he pulled, her shirt ripped slightly from the back and front. Springtrap glared at her, ignoring the tear down the front of her shirt. "Why are you so stubborn?!"

Saphira stared back at him with wide eyes. She let a few tears fall and took a deep breath. "Because…" She swallowed nervously. "The surface of someone is deceiving, Springtrap. I look beyond that surface, and I see someone else." He frowned in confusion. "I was never afraid of you when I was a kid, because judging someone based on their appearance before they get to know them…well…I would have missed out on spending time with you otherwise."

His expression softened briefly before he stood directly over her and stood on her right arm, making her grimace and groan from feeling his weight. "Are you seriously trying to tell me that you still think we aren't monsters?! I know Mangle talked to you. She told you to leave too. You should have listened."

She looked at her arm and looked back up at Springtrap. "I want to help you."

The animatronic widened his eyes in surprise. Her sudden admission sounded sincere, but he didn't believe her and put pressure onto her right arm, making her cry out in pain. "Help? Don't make me laugh! What could you possibly help us with?" He grabbed her shoulders and lifted her roughly. "Tell me! What can you do to help us?!" She shrieked as her shoulder pops from its socket, and she cried from the pain. "You are nothing but a pathetic, little, night guard!" He stepped off her arm and threw her to the door, she yelped as flew threw the door and lands on her shoulder. She looked up at Springtrap stepped closer. "You are nothing."

She sniffled as she trembled on the ground. "I…I am sorry…" She whimpered weakly as she slowly stood up, holding her arm as it ached painfully. "I…I went home and I thought about what you and Mangle said." He narrowed his eyes again at her. "And…I have learned a little more…this is your prison."

"Prison?"

"It means, you are trapped here. You cannot leave." She looked at her arm and knew she would need to try and pop her shoulder back in some how. "And…I d-d-d-don't know what it h-h-has been like for you. To…know only this life. And then…someone t-t-takes interest, real interest in you. And not s-s-scream and r-r-r-run because of your appearance." Springtrap shifted uncomfortably as she spoke to him and he glanced away from her. "And then I left. I am sorry. I-I c-c-c-could never have known…I brought l-l-light to your life. I am sorry. Life is cruel." He turned his head back to her to glare at her. "I-I w-w-want to help y-y-you understand how y-y-you got here."

Springtrap took a deep breath. Hearing her tell him why she stayed did seem to be honest. And he believed her. But the fact remained, she could not be here. "Why would you want to help us?"

"It…It is the least I can do…to…try and make up for my absence," Saphira responded nervously and swallowed nervously. "I don't think you want to kill me." He growled at her again. "Y-You would have done it already."

Springtrap stepped closer to her. "You don't think I can do it?"

She stared at him and sighed, looking away before tilting her neck. "Then do it. I'm giving you the opportunity, Springtrap…you can…have all my blood to yourself."

The animatronic stood in front of the girl, staring at her with a glare. He was going over everything she had said to him just now. And while Springtrap was indeed still very angry at her, there was a part of him that still cared about the girl. He hated that part of him. He wanted to kill her, but he also did not want to hurt her. He clenched and unclenched his hands several times as he thought about it.

"Well?" Saphira looked at him with a bored expression. "What are you waiting for?"

Springtrap clenched his jaw and looked away from her. "Just go back to the office, Saphira…the systems need rebooting." She nodded a little and turned to walk away with a groan. He watched her leave before speaking again. "Reconsider coming back tomorrow. It will be much worse for you." Saphira glanced back at him and nodded. "I believe they keep night guard shirts in the staff room somewhere, or the laundry room. You will need a new shirt."

Saphira glanced down and shrugged. She already knew that. She had to fixed her shoulder first though. But she did figure out that Springtrap did not really want to kill her. He has hurt her, but he didn't want to kill her. But she did notice he was conflicted by that, so he still could kill her. But he would likely regret it afterwards. Saphira took a deep breath and walked back to the office. She held her shoulder and looked up as she approached the office, gasping when she saw another animatronic outside the office.

"Fredbear?" She widened her eyes in surprise. "Uh…w-w-what are you doing here?"

Fredbear seemed to be extremely disappointed when he saw her. "Springtrap let you live, huh?" He rolled his eyes at her and growled. "How disappointing…though he's injured you quite nicely." She shivered as she was more afraid of him than Springtrap. "And I don't understand it. You never saw what happened when you left. Springtrap killed and tortured the night guards and trespassers when you left, taking out his pain and anger on them. He stopped eating for a whole month once, almost dying. And on top of that, he almost snapped and killed a girl when she tried to get friendly with him. You broke his trust in humans, and I don't blame him. Now that we seen how you can hurt us so easily." He walked towards her slowly and she backed away nervously. "And you have the nerve to stick around when told to leave. It was just mercy. But now, it is personal."

Saphira did not know what to say. She backed away from him and he walked faster towards her with his claws ready. She didn't know what to say or do, but as he tried to grab her, she ducked around him and ran from him. She glanced into the office briefly as she ran by it. She knew she couldn't stop now. She ran towards the doors for the main dining hall, not knowing how she was going to get away from Fredbear.
