Sitting in the chair felt like hours had passed by. The aching in her head throbbed and she wanted nothing more than just to fall asleep and allow her body to heal the pain. But she knew she could not. The ice pack was soothing on her head and she felt the pain slowly fade away, at least the sting on her forehead. She would need to take something else for the really bad headache she was feeling right now. She would likely do that soon once she felt a little bit better and not wanting to rush to the bathroom and heave.

"I cannot believe we missed some drunk idiot slipping into the attraction," Chica commented in irritation as she kept her hand on the ice pack. "I guess we were really into the games we were playing."

"We certainly were." Bonnie looked at the desk, seeing the Springtrap plush and snow globe that were sitting there. "Looks like the new Springtrap line is coming." He smiled a little. "I am not surprised she opted to get a sample."

Fredbear looked at the two items and sighed deeply. "Another sign she still cares for him." He looked at Bonnie sadly. "We probably cannot make her leave, can we?"

"I don't think so. Saphira's changed a lot. She's not that happy girl we knew." Bonnie looked at Saphira with a sad expression. "She's lonely." He spotted the scrapbook on the desk and tilts his head. "Hmm…" He stepped forward as he looked at it, reading the title and smiling a little. "Saphira made a scrapbook about us."

Fredbear looked at the desk and widened his eyes as he saw the book. "It's dusty…"

"And yet, she kept it," Chica said softly as she looked at the book and smiled slightly. "Pictures that she has kept all these years." She looked at the girl who had her eyes closed and seemed to be relaxed and focused. "I suppose, in a way, she never truly forgot. She never truly stopped…loving us."

"My Adventures with My Best Friends…" Bonnie ran his hand over the cover of the book with a sad smile. He was tempted to open it, but he did not want to. He had no doubt he would find pictures of when they first met her. "Hmm…I remember when she had her third birthday celebrated at the old location…"

Fredbear and Chica look at him with smiles. Saphira opened her eyes as she heard him and she listened quietly. "I know she was two when she met me just before I was moved to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. And then she met you and the other three."

Bonnie nodded. "Yeah…she was the most excited kid, even at that age." He turned to the two animatronics as he thought back to those days. "Surprisingly, I remember that birthday very well. Her parents, grandparents, two aunts and uncles with some cousins had joined Saphira for her birthday that day. I was rather happy that they hired me to be the animatronic to celebrate her birthday." The animatronic chuckled a little. "That little girl had such a big smile on her face, I think she was happier to see me than anyone else in her family. And even when she opened all of her presents…she handed them to me. She wanted me to play."

"Did you?" Fredbear asked curiously with a smile.

"Yes." Bonnie took a deep breath as he seemed to be getting emotional. "Saphira received the plushies for all of us that day. But she also received…do you remember the old tea sets they sold back then?" The two animatronics nod. "That is what Saphira got that day. And that little toddler insisted I play. She had placed all the plushies on the seats, with her childhood, pale, yellow rabbit plush joining, and she and I played a very sweet game of café. And we had a lot of fun, acting like it was a private club and all. She tried to get her cousins to join, but they were afraid of me. So it was just her and I."

"Aw…how sweet." Chica smiled at Bonnie as she listened. "I was one of the unlucky ones to never attend one of her parties, I was always with another. But she always insisted on paying attention to us afterwards."

Bonnie nodded. "That she did." He giggled a little. "Oh, and after she blew the candles on her cake and got a piece, she tried to share some with me." The animatronics chuckle softly. "It was tasty, but the girl smashed a piece over my mouth. I was caught off guard, but she was seriously the sweetest girl ever. No one else has done that since."

Fredbear placed his hand on Bonnie's shoulder gently. "I think we all have our share of good memories, Bonnie. I still question why she, of all kids and even adults, came up to us with no fear or question, and fell in love with us instantly."

"Yeah…but I guess that makes her special." Bonnie tapped his fingers on the desk thoughtfully. "That is why she should leave…so that she can have a life." She glanced at Saphira briefly before he jumped when he heard footsteps approaching the door. He looked over and saw Springtrap standing at the doorway. "Oh, Springtrap…Saphira is recovering just…"

"Get out."

"Huh?" Bonnie frowned in surprise. "You want us to leave?"

Springtrap glared at Bonnie. "Do I need to repeat myself, Bonnie?" He glanced at Fredbear and narrowed his eyes at him. "You too, Fredbear. I want to speak with Saphira." The three animatronics hesitated and Springtrap punched the sit of the doorway. "GET OUT!"

Saphira winced and covered her ears as his shout hurt her head. Bonnie raised his hands to calm him down. "Alright, we're leaving, Springtrap." He glanced at Saphira with worry. "Just…be gentle, Springtrap. She is still recovering from that head injury."

Springtrap said nothing as Bonnie walked out of the office first. Fredbear walked towards him with a worried expression. "You had better not make things worse, Springtrap. You need to…"

"I need to what, Fredbear? Forget?" The bot shook his head. "No…I won't forget. I might forgive, but I won't forget. No matter the reason, you know that I…" He groaned a little and looked away from Fredbear. "Suffered. I am still suffering…so don't try and make me feel sympathy. I hope you understand that!"

Fredbear nodded silently and walked out of the office. Springtrap looked at Chica as the animatronic lifts Saphira's hand to hold the ice pack on her forehead. Chica looked at Springtrap sympathetically. She wanted to say something, but she shivered slightly at Springtrap's glare and glanced back at Saphira before leaving the office. They were all not sure if they wanted to leave Saphira in such a vulnerable state at this time.

Saphira was feeling a bit better and her vision was not blurry. She stared at Springtrap as he walked into the office, his gaze firmly on her. "Thank you."

His glare turned into a confused frown quickly. "For…what?"

"You saved me, Springtrap. You saved me from something…awful…" Saphira smiled at him weakly as she stared at him. "Even if you did it so I can leave or whatever, thank you."

Springtrap stared at her and folded his arms as he narrowed his eyes at her. "And yet, you should be thinking about wanting to leave! After all, Saphira, drunk people are not uncommon here at all. Not as common as the amount of teenagers and young adults who thinking sneaking in here is a lot of fun, but it happens. And you were his target."

"I know, Springtrap." She lowered the pack from her head, Springtrap saw the red mark on her forehead and grimaced slightly. "I honestly should have known he would have snuck in. The way he was pressing against the door at the front should have been enough for me to call the police. But I was stupid."

Springtrap rolled his eyes. "Yes, you were." He stepped closer as he glared at her. "And you think you have what it takes to be a night guard." He scoffed and slammed his hands on the arms of the chair, making Saphira flinch and hold her hands close to her chest as he glared at her. "Do you really think you? Because you can't even defend yourself."

She stared at him as his face was close to hers. "I…I…I don't want to leave…"

Springtrap shakes his head. "Why?! I do not understand, Saphira!" He pulled away roughly, the movement caused the chair to spin suddenly and she caught herself to stop the spin as it hurt her head. He walked around the room in disbelief. "You have seen how we kill people, that we must eat people! And you…you think you can help us." He laughed lightly. "I can't see how you can help us! We…this is not a life we asked for, but there is nothing you can do."

"I didn't ask for this life either, Springtrap." He turned to her in surprise at her comment. "But…" Saphira looked away from him. "At least…I will try and do something good…even if it is for an animatronic, and not a human…"

Springtrap did not get it. This human was crazy in his eyes. However, he spotted the items on the desk as he had not noticed them before. Saphira looked at him when she noticed he was quiet and saw he was looking at the plush and snow globe on the desk. She looked at them and smiled before tensing as he walked towards her. She thought he would door something to them, but he grabbed the scrapbook and read the front of the book and opened it.

Saphira relaxed as she stared at him. She watched as a smile slowly spread across his face as he looked at the individual photos of her past. He flipped the pages slowly as he stared at them. Saphira smiled. She knew the first pages were filled with primarily Fredbear, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, followed by the toy animatronics when this attraction was opened with the Toy Plaza. However, they all showed the same thing. How happy she was with the animatronics.

It was when Springtrap flipped over to find pictures with him and Saphira that made him pause and stare. On the page she had written in gold My Newest, Bestest Friend, underneath was a picture of Saphira when she was five standing beside Springtrap, hugging him around the leg as they both smile at the picture. Springtrap had a confused expression when he had smiled at the camera, having questioned why this girl was hugging him.

But as he flipped the pages, he saw there were more pictures of him and the girl having a great time together. Even an image of her sitting on Springtrap's shoulders with her arms up in front of the Haunted Classroom section when that had been opened up. Springtrap smile widened, looking over the different pictures Saphira had stuck into the page.

He almost chuckled when he paused at some Halloween photos. Saphira had dressed up as Springtrap when she was six, and there were multiple photos of them together, and they both were holding pumpkin buckets filled with candy from the pizzeria. The next image showed Saphira's family at the restaurant for Thanksgiving. It was the only Thanksgiving they had come to restaurant for, and Saphira had insisted on having Springtrap sit at the table.

Springtrap remembered the girl arguing with her parents about it, and they eventually relented. And she was very happy in the picture as she was sitting beside him in the photo. He did remember Saphira had shoved pieces of chicken into his mouth a few times, and she had no idea he ate the pieces at the time. That girl really treated him and the others like they were normal humans, and it was a reason why they were drawn to her.

The last few pictures showed Saphira's seventh birthday party. And Springtrap was the animatronic hired for that time, and that was two weeks before Saphira had stopped coming. He saw in the images that he had a birthday hat on and so did she. This was when she had given him the necklace as well, and they were both holding the necklaces up in one image, and another was Saphira putting the necklace on him happily.

And on the very last image was an image all Springtrap sitting with the girl sitting in his lap. She had hands clasped together with a big smile and was leaning against him as he had one hand on her shoulder. This was the day before the accident. And at the bottom, Saphira had written something that caught his attention. Springtrap always says he's a monster, because other kids are afraid of him. But I think he's sweet. I love him, and he's my bestest friend! I hope we stay friends forever! I cannot wait for our next adventure.

Springtrap turned the page and it was blank, aside from small writing in the top left saying My New Adventures with my Best Friends. He stared at the blank page, thinking about all the things they could have done if the accident never happened. However, as he had gone through the scrapbook, there was one thing that stood out to him. He could see that this book has sat for a long time. The pages were dull and fragile, there was dust sitting on the cover, and it was clear that it could have been thrown out a long time. But she never did.

Springtrap looked at Saphira and she smiled at him. He looked back at the scrapbook before dropping the book suddenly and turned to storm out. "Springtrap?" Saphira was confused as he walked out of the room, and she looked at the book in shock.

She stood up and grabbed the book, grimacing and placing her hand on her head as it throbbed. She placed the book onto the desk and grabbed some Advil out of her bag to take for the pain. She sipped some water and clicked on the cameras on the computer. She was able to quickly find Springtrap. He was walking briskly through the attraction and she wondered what he was thinking.

He walked into the hallway between the Toy Plaza and Haunted Classroom before she couldn't find him anymore. She clicked a few times before glancing at a map of the attraction. There was a set of bathrooms in this hallway, and she suspected Springtrap had gone into one of them. She hit the reboot when she heard an alert again from the tablet while thinking whether she should go after Springtrap or not.

"Are you okay?" She turned her head when she heard Fredbear. "He did not hurt you, did he?" She shook her head and turned her head to stare at the window. "Springtrap looked upset…did something…else happen?"

"He looked through the scrapbook." He glanced at the book and widened his eyes. She shrugged a little. "I guess something in that book stirred something in him, I don't know…but…is he right, Fredbear? Am I really that crazy staying here?"

"Well…" Fredbear smiled a little as he walked close and knelt by the chair. "Would you look in the mirror and say that to yourself?"

"Probably."

The animatronic chuckled softly. "Regardless of that fact…you are staying because…" He glanced at the scrapbook and looked back at her. "We are special to you." She did not react and he stood up to open the scrapbook, immediately seeing the first images that were of him and the four other animatronics. "Oh wow…" He gazed at the first two images with the two-year-old Saphira and he were pictured. "You had the most adorable smile…" He turned the page and smiled when he saw the girl's birthday images with Bonnie. "Oh, I see what he meant."

Saphira smiled. "Yeah…I don't remember that day really well…but I am glad I have the pictures to look back on."

Fredbear stared at the images and turned the pages slowly. "Hmm…you know, Saphira…I guess you might be crazy for staying. After all, we have been killing and eating people even when you were just a baby." She understood that, though she still felt sad for them. "You know where you come from. You know where you started. We don't. Even if you help us know that, Saphira…that does not really change who we are."

"Maybe, maybe not." Saphira looked up at Fredbear. "I am not wanting to change who you are." He looked at her as she spoke to him. "I probably could not, even if I wanted to. But…if there was a way to…maybe…use it for good…"

"Good?" Fredbear shakes his head. "I am not sure how killing people and eating them is seen as good…"

She rubbed the back of her right hand thoughtfully as she listened. "I know you all seem to have some kind of compassion about those you've eaten. There's probably a chance some of the teenagers and young adults you have eaten, used to come here as kids too." The animatronic flinched and looked away from her. "But…if it is a food source you cannot change, even when presented with other food…I can see why you think it will never be good."

"Of course, it won't be. I don't follow your thoughts, Saphira." Fredbear looked at her forehead and smiled at her. "But you did hit your head pretty hard. At least the lump seems to be going away." He looked at the ice pack for a moment. "Should I put that back in the freezer and get another one?"

She shrugged at him. "I guess." She moved to stand and Fredbear widened his eyes at her. "I am going to go find Springtrap."

He stared at her in surprise. "Uh, that's not a good idea, Saphira. He's probably in the bathroom he usually hides in…and you should give him space."

She looked at him with a frown. "Fredbear, I will be fine. I think Springtrap and I really need to have a talk. All he's been doing is shouting, not talking. I haven't been able to say anything that might resonate with him." She glanced down at the scrapbook and smiled. "But at least something else did."

"All that did was bring up memories, Saphira." He placed a hand on her shoulder gently, though he felt her tense from the touch as she was still unsure about him doing anything to her. "And it probably hurt. You know that."

She nodded. "Yes…I do know…" Tears fall from her eyes as she looked at the scrapbook. "I only had to look at the first couple pages before I could not look any further. It hurts me too, Fredbear." She stepped around him carefully as she did not want to stumble from dizziness. "You have no idea how much it hurts…"

"No, I kind of do." Fredbear watched her walk over to the door and saw her place a hand on the frame. "Are you even sure you can walk fine? You might make yourself look like a drunk person."

"Very funny." Saphira walked into the hallway and jumped with a gasp, before placing a hand on her chest. "Bonnie…you scared me."

"Sorry." Bonnie walked in front of the window towards her. "I did not mean to." He gazed at her injury curiously and placed a hand on her right arm. "I think you should sit…"

Saphira pulled her arm from his hand and walked around him. "No…I want to find Springtrap." The bot turned to try and stop her. "Please do not tell me it is not a good idea…I need to speak with him, Bonnie. It is long overdue. You know that."

"Well, yes, but…Springtrap isn't…I don't think he will listen." He walked quickly to walk next to her as she walked along the hallway towards the main dining room. "You already hit your head very hard…and had to witness Springtrap…well…you know…"

She frowned and looked at Bonnie. "I know, Bonnie. I am aware of what has happened tonight. But please, I need to talk with Springtrap. I don't want us to be…enemies at the end of the week. I want us to be civil…and hopefully…friends again."

The animatronic softened his expression with a smile. "It would be really nice to see Springtrap smile properly again in all these years. He has not smiled once in these last ten years. If he has, he's only ever done so privately. Or it is fake."

Saphira was not surprised. She had seen him smiling before when he was going through the scrapbook. And it was definitely genuine, though it was also mixed with sadness. "I hope that I can bring that back for him. I honestly think you all will be a lot more miserable if I did decide to leave."

"Maybe, but…" Bonnie shrugged a little as he opened the door to the main dining room for her. "I would feel a lot more miserable if you died because of us. I hope that will not happen. Especially since…well…let's just say Mike was acting weird earlier."

Saphira looked at him curiously. "He was? I did overhear a strange conversation Mike was having on the phone…it could be related."

"Oh? What was he saying?" Bonnie asked curiously.

She hesitated to respond as she walked through the dining room thoughtfully. "He was talking to someone he called Mr Afton. At least I got the last name for this W.A. But…apparently, they are not happy that you have not killed me yet." Bonnie widened his eyes, and Freddy, Chica and Foxy look at Saphira in surprise as they overhear her. "I guess you are partly right about me…"

"That's why you have to leave!" Bonnie interrupts in a pleading voice. "And you now know he could kill you, and yet you still want to stay. I don't get it." He shrugged with a shake of his head. "All I want for you is to be safe, Saphira. I know we were your friends in the past, it speaks very loudly. But…I don't want you to die."

She smiled at him and kept walking. "I will be okay, Bonnie." She reached the door to head into the hallway leading up to the Haunted Classroom from the main dining room and the doorway to the Toy Plaza. "I already…have been thinking about things regarding him."

"And I hope it is not something stupid," Bonnie said bluntly. "And where are you going?"

"I know where he's hiding," She responded confidently with a smile. "If you are going to try to have me check some other bathroom, you won't have me fooled. But I just want to know…" She looked down the hallway briefly and looked back at Bonnie. "Is he in the men's or ladies' bathroom?"

Bonnie realized that he probably could not trick Saphira into checking a different bathroom. He guessed she tracked him with the cameras and figured out the bathroom location there. "Fine…he's in the ladies. It's cleaner in there, according to him."

Saphira smiled as she understood. "Alright, thanks, Bonnie."

He was still tempted to try and stop Saphira as he believed she was making a mistake, but there was little he could do. He walked to the door and watched her walk towards the bathroom, worried that Springtrap would do something. He doubted that Springtrap would actually physically hurt her, but he wasn't sure.

As for Saphira, she stared at the door of the bathroom as she knew that Springtrap was inside. She did not know how he would react when she would walk in there, but she knew that they had to talk. It was necessary, or this pain they both were feeling would just continue to eat at them. Saphira knew this. She did know that Springtrap must feel alone. And he likely felt worse with Fredbear no longer angry at Saphira. She stopped in front of the door, knowing that she was about to do something that may or may not have a good outcome. But it was now, or never in her mind. She and Springtrap needed to talk, and she was going to make sure that they do.
