After Saphira checked the rest of the doors in the attraction, she was satisfied that she didn't have to worry about a great lot. She was tempted to go back into the basement to see if she could find more clues regarding the animatronics. She knew that the book she had was written long before the actual creation of the animatronics took place. She knew that the animatronics that were in the basement had never been alive. They had real animatronic parts. They would be completely harmless and not move around. She knew from memory, the original Fredbear was programmed by a very old program run through a floppy disc in an ancient computer. So it would have had no personality at all, or any kind of life for that matter.
Saphira returned to the door to the Bedroom of Nightmares as she was determined to see what it looked like. The other animatronics were just as eager to see what it looked like on the inside as well. Saphira did not know if it even looked scary, or simply had a scary atmosphere and the nightmare animatronics would be the real reason why it was scary.
"At least we don't smell anything this time," Springtrap said as Saphira grabbed the door knob and opened it, pushing it forward and shining her flashlight. He stepped up behind her and peered inside. "Looks like they definitely decided not to have real windows in here."
Saphira stepped inside and saw that it appeared to be a large, looked hallway around the actual bedroom. The floorboards creaked a little as she walked along them and noticed some of the dark, purple rugs on the ground with golden Freddy faces on them. There was a blue sofa and she saw a grandfather clock. There definitely was not any window. She shines her flashlight along the back wall and she saw there was another room. She assumed the nightmare animatronics would stay in there.
"I don't see why this is creepy at all," Bonnie commented as he looked around curiously. "It's dark, and there definitely is a dark atmosphere, but this seems less creepy than the Haunted Classroom."
"It does seem to be intimidating to me," Saphira said as she walked to the open door into the other room and peered through the doorway. "Hmm, at least they do have their own room." Saphira looked around as it was just a large space for the animatronics to hide from the guests. "They do not have their own stage."
"Kind of sad they have a box to basically get stuffed in," Springtrap commented as he looked into the room. "We should see the actual bedroom. It might seem more interesting than this place."
Saphira nodded and turned away to walk towards the bedroom. She noticed there were some signs on the wall and shines the flashlight to look at them. All of them were signs guiding towards the bedroom to start the game. She wondered what kind of game that was. She knew it was going to be a horror game, but she was curious about it.
"I wonder if people who enter here must go to the bedroom in order for the nightmare animatronics to interact with them," Chica wondered out loud as she looked around. "It is kind of set up in a U shape, and there's only one place people can really gather."
"Argh, seems like these scoundrels are only goin' to be scarin' without interaction like the phantom animatronics," Foxy said as they approach the white door from the right side. "They must be mighty scary if they are only goin' to even be seen this way."
"I did see what Nightmare Bonnie will look like…" Saphira placed her hand on the doorknob and turned it to open it, finding it only opens outward. "And I can confirm that they will be scary. In fact, I think they will kill someone a lot quicker than you guys with the sharp teeth and claws that will have."
Springtrap peered into the room as Saphira stepped inside. "The fact Mike even thinks that animatronics with those features is even okay is…well we do know that he has something to do with killing two employees and a kid. So I guess I should not be surprised."
Inside the room, it was exactly like what Saphira saw in the drawing. A large room with a twin bed with a yellow and white quilt, purple carpet, old style wallpaper, a single closet with a white panel door and two dressers. It was a large room too that can house multiple people, which makes sense. Maybe it was one of those things where the doors lock temporarily until the time runs out.
"I think the idea of this bedroom is for people to try and keep the animatronics out," Saphira said thoughtfully as she looked at both doors. "Though I doubt the animatronics would harm a guest, but I don't know how they would scare people."
Springtrap looked around curiously. "Huh…it kind of seems like a…how we used to taunt the night guards before we killed them." Saphira looked at Springtrap in surprise when he said that. "I could be wrong, but it seems that way to me."
"I think Springtrap might be right," Phantom Bonnie said with a frown as he looked around. "While we scare the kids through general interaction, this seems like it will definitely give kids nightmares."
"I think so too," Mangle said as she looked around in concern. "I think even you would be scared, Saphira. You did already admit that the nightmare animatronics look intimidating."
Saphira did not deny that. As a kid though, she likely would have tried to befriend the nightmare animatronics. After all, she befriended Springtrap when he was meant to be scary. It would not have stopped her because of their appearance. But she certainly would try to be their friend when they arrive. She did worry that Mike and Afton could do something to make the nightmare animatronics want to kill her.
"At least we kind of know what this place is about…" Saphira jumped when she heard one of the roof panels being lifted and sighed when she saw Phantom Mangle crawling on the ceiling, she had accidentally pushed one of the panels up. "Try not to make the room come down on us."
Phantom Mangle smirked at Saphira. "Sorry, I didn't even know it could open. But I think this is how Nightmare Mangle is going to come in and scare the guests. It would make sense…" The animatronic peered into the gap. "Oh yeah! There's a whole other room up here! So I was right."
"Wait, what?" Saphira was shocked to hear that. "Hold up, this place has hidden attics too?"
"I guess so…" Phantom Mangle just shrugged uncertainly. She moves further into the opening to look around. "There looks like there might even be a way down. I think I will check it out…" She moved her head out and looked at Saphira. "If I have your permission."
Saphira nodded and Mangle climbed up onto the ceiling to follow Phantom Mangle. "Just be careful you two. I did hear something crawling around in the vents a few nights ago, there might be something in that attic."
"We will be careful," Phantom Mangle promised as she slipped up completely and Mangle began to follow her. "Look like this will open into one of the hallways. If you guys peer outside, you shoulder see .e lower the stairs."
Saphira nodded and glanced either side as the animatronics go over to each door to peer out. Fredbear walked out to the end to make sure it wasn't in the U part. Saphira was left wondering which way she should go as she looked either side until Springtrap gestured on her left and she followed him. She stepped into the hallway and see the door of the basement opened and a pair of stair being rolled out. She walked over to it and made sure the stairs were out properly before walking up them.
"There's not much up here, Saphira," Mangle said as Saphira reached the top step and looked around in the basement. "There's lights here, vents and a small window into the outside…" She looked around in surprise and spotted the small window. "But there really isn't anything else. Though that might change in a few weeks."
"Maybe…now I wonder how many other hidden places in the roof there are. We found this one, and the basement, now I wonder what else there is." The animatronics shrug and Saphira climbed back down. "Well, I'd rather we didn't ponder on this too long. Come on down you two. It seems with me here, you have the chance of finding things randomly."
"To be fair, we did find a few other hidden places before you showed up," Golden Bonnie said and Saphira looked at her in surprise. "There's one in my room. And I have been investigating it for a while. It's full of diaries from Mister Afton, and I have an understanding of the person who has created us."
"Diaries? You're joking, right?" Saphira questions with a frown and she shook her head. Saphira sighed deeply as she thought about. "Um…why don't we have pizza instead? I don't want to go around…" She jumped when the tablet went off and she hit the reboot button. "I would rather not be a detective. We already had a lot in Bedroom of Nightmares, and I think that is enough."
"I agree," Freddy said bluntly. "I really want to enjoy the rest of the night. Though I have to say, I am little disappointed that you would keep information about Mister Afton to yourself, Golden Bonnie." He looked at her with a frown. "But I guess you were fishing for clues."
"Yeah…and it's not something we can talk about lightly." Golden Bonnie walked towards the exit to head back into the main part of the attraction. "I am ready to go anyway. I would like to fill up on some of our treats tonight."
Saphira followed the animatronic out of the Bedroom of Nightmares into the Haunted Classroom, smiling as her eyes readjusted to the better lit surroundings of this part of the attraction. She was happier that they got out of there and would go to enjoy time together that didn't involve some kind of mystery.
"I will go get some stuff from the office and I will be right back," Saphira said enthusiastically with a smile. "If anyone wants to come with me to help carry it out, do follow me to the office. I might need the extra pair of hands."
Springtrap smiled at Saphira as hearing her enthusiasm made him feel happy. He followed Saphira through the attraction back to the office with Bonnie, Phantom Freddy and Golden Bonnie tagging along with the two of them to retrieve the additional treats Saphira had brought with her to share with them tonight. Bonnie in particular remembers when Saphira was really young, before Springtrap was around, that the girl loved to have tea parties with the animatronics. She would have regular tea parties with just one of the animatronics when she was a kid. And it used to be Bonnie or Fredbear. This felt quite the step up from when she would use fake food to play with them. It did feel good though.
"Alright…" Saphira almost skipped to the office after going through the main dining room to the hallway. She was rather happy and her stomach growled at her. She definitely knew she was hungry. "I have brought a few packets of chips, chocolate and I did leave some cheese in the staff room fridge, so we likely will be able to have that on the crackers I have as well."
"I promise to not hoard the chocolate," Springtrap said with a light chuckle. "Though I do look forward to having it again. I really did enjoy it a lot." Saphira walked over to her bag to grab out the chips, chocolate and crackers. When he saw how much there was, Springtrap realized that there didn't need to be as many animatronics helping her. "We should also figure out what to do. It's been a little over an hour now, so we still have about five hours to go."
Saphira thought about it and looked at them curiously. "Well…I was thinking that we could play Charades." All four animatronics gave Saphira a confused expression. "Don't worry, I'll tell you how to play. Though I'm not sure how well it will go, but we need a good bonding night."
Springtrap tilts his head slightly as he gathered the chip packets. "I am curious to know how to play. I don't think we have found any kind of board game with that name."
"That's because you don't need one to play Charades." She smirked at them as she walked around them when Bonnie picked up the chocolate and crackers. "Once you understand how the game works, there is going to be a lot of laughter."
"This sounds very interesting," Phantom Freddy said as he followed Saphira to the staff room and stood by the door as she walked over to the fridge to grab out the cheese. "That might be something we can do if you ever want to spend one-on-one time with Springtrap." Saphira nearly dropped the cheese in shock and looked at Phantom Freddy with wide eyes. "What? I don't think it's wrong. Besides, you two were the best friends. There's nothing wrong with that."
Saphira was just surprised by the suggestion and she smiled. "Well, Springtrap and I will find plenty of time for that. But the rest of you are my friends as well, and we may as well have a good time together. Especially since we can make new memories now."
"I guess that is true. I remember you used to come up with many ideas to do with us when you were a kid." Saphira smiled at him as she walked into the hallway. Phantom Freddy turned to follow her with Springtrap, Bonnie and Golden Bonnie. "And it seems like that hasn't changed. You already found something for us to do during the nights. Though I will say Phantom Foxy, Toy Bonnie and Toy Freddy might not stay around too long as they were planning to sleep tonight."
"That's not a problem, and if anyone else wants to sleep instead of play, they are free to do that," Saphira said enthusiastically. "I am not that evil to stop you guys from getting rest. In fact, if you want, you all could even tell me if you want to sleep for the entire time I'm on my shift with just a couple of you awake to keep watch with me, feel free to do that."
"That would be wonderful!" Bonnie exclaimed with a smile. "I do sometimes wish to sleep more often, so I might take that offer you just gave. But I will wait until another night to do that."
Saphira giggled softly as they walk into the main dining room where everyone else had gathered. "Anything that I can do to make your life easier, I will do it." She looked around at everyone, smiling as she saw the pizza, pasta and salad. "I hope everyone is hungry, or simply just looking forward to eating junk food."
Foxy chuckled at Saphira as she placed the cheese onto a table. "I think we all want to dig into this fine haul, Saphira." He looked at the crackers, chips, chocolate and cheese curiously. "Do ya need some plates? There should be plenty of spare ones in the kitchen."
"I'll get them!" Chica shouted, running towards the kitchen before Saphira could reply.
"That chicken can be full of energy sometimes," Springtrap comments and Saphira looked at him with a grin. "Anyway, feel free to pick out something to eat, Saphira. I heard your stomach growling before."
Saphira was surprised. She did not think they would hear it. It growled again and she placed her hands on her stomach, feeling a little embarrassed. "I did not realize you could even hear."
"Our hearing is very sensitive. The vibrations your stomach makes is something we can pick up on." That made sense. Saphira didn't think they could pick up sounds that way. That meant they could possibly feel vibrations in the ground. Though she wasn't sure of that was the case based on what Springtrap had said. "To be honest, it's more annoying when we are entertaining people and there's at least a dozen of them with growling stomachs. It can be a little irritating." Saphira opened her mouth like she was about to apologize. "And no, yours isn't annoying, Saphira. I was just letting you know that is what we have to endure each day. I do wish I could say something to prompt them to eat something to get rid of the noise, but I think it would not do anything."
Saphira smiled at him and shook her head in amusement. "I guess I won't fully understand how you can hear that, but I do understand that it would be rather annoying." She looked towards the kitchen as Chica returned with several plates in her hands. "Awesome, Chica!"
The animatronic smiled and placed the plates onto the table. "You are welcome." Saphira grabbed onto of the plates to slide of and opened the salt and vinegar chip pack first to pour onto the plate. "You guys don't have to wait for me to have something, you know."
"But we want you to have something first," Springtrap said softly and grabbed one of the plates. "Would you like me to fill a plate for you?" She looked at him in surprise. "If I remember correctly, your favorite pizzas are margherita, garlic cheese and meat lovers…are they still your favorite?"
Saphira was smiled as she did wonder if he remembered her favorite pizza. "Yes, they're still my favorite. Though I'll have some leftover margherita with that mac and cheese. I'll pick the salad I want once I've finished with this food."
Springtrap nodded and proceeded to fill the plate with three slices of margherita pizza and mac and cheese. It was rather sweet of him to do that for her. She would have happily filled the plate herself, but she did not mind that he was filling the plate for her instead. In the meantime, she filled the plates with the crackers, cheese, spring onion chips and barbecue chips. When she finished, Springtrap gave her the plate and she filled it with some salad next to the pasta and pizza. Once she finished and began to eat, that's when the animatronics began to dig into the food.
"While we are eating…" Saphira looked at Golden Bonnie when she began to speak. "Can you teach us how to play charades? I am really intrigued by what it is."
The other animatronics look at Saphira curiously as she smiled. "The game is simple. One person has to…imitate something and everyone else has to guess what you are. Say if I were to do…" Saphira thought for a moment before placing the plate down and crouched, acting like she was holding out her arms with her hands on a steering wheel. "Say I'm acting our this, you have to guess what I am."
"You are currently a car," Bonnie said before taking a bite of some pizza.
Saphira nodded. "Correct. And everyone can have a turn. There's no winning in the game, it's just a bit of fun. And we can keep it simple, that way we all know what we will be."
The animatronics were definitely interested and Saphira to start the game. She moved to the front of the dining room in front of the stage and began by standing tall and holding her hands up, creating a triangle above her head. It took only two minutes before Toy Bonnie guessed she was a house. She informed him that was correct and Toy Bonnie decided to go next. It didn't take long at all for the animatronics to get into the game and Saphira really had a good time with them. They enjoyed the other food she brought as well. And this is how they spent the rest of Saphira's shift until it was fifteen minutes until six. They didn't even realize what the time was until they saw the sunlight filtering through the windows. It was a good night, and Saphira enjoyed herself. Even with some of the revelations about other secret rooms throughout the building.
