Chapter 5

I want apologize for how long this has taken to get up. It's been a few things. I've been traveling and also my early idea for this chapter just wan't working.

Alex Marvez approached MJF who sat backstage on a crate still in his wrestling gear having lost the AEW world title. "MJF what are you thoughts on now that had time to digest losing the AEW world title?" Marvez asks. If looks could kill Marvez would be a corpse after the one Max just gave him. "What do you think the biggest factor in tonight's result was?" Alex asks. Max finally stands up and grabs Alex by his collar. "It was fluke! A fluke!" Max yells before shoving Alex to the ground. Max looking incensed turns to the camera. "Riley Morgan you were in the right place at the right time. I had an off night. You didn't beat me I beat me! Well enjoy it Riley because it will be short lived! I will get my rematch and I will regain MY and I stress MY world title," MJF screams getting closers and closer to the camera. "Hey easy," the camera man breaking a huge rule for camera operators. "Don't tell me what do do!" MJF yells before doing something that causes the camera to fall to the ground.

AEW Dynamite Taping The Next Week

Justin Roberts stood in the middle of the ring. "Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the NEW AEW World Heavyweight Champion! The Dog of War, Riley Morgan!" With that Riley's music plays. He and Mandy make there entrance both wearing black. Riley has the AEW world title around his waste. The fans cheer as Riley enters the ring and stand on the turnbuckle. The top again when he removes belt and holds it up with one hand. Mandy hands Riley a microphone. "Anything interesting happen in the last week?" Riley asks joking. The fans are still cheering. Before anything can be said Bryan Danielson's music plays. The American Dragon came to the ring. "Riley I want congratulate you on winning last week. Trust me, no one is happier to see Max lose than I am," Danielson says. "Nice of you to let me celebrate so long," Riley deadpanned.

"Fair point," Danielson says. "You know Bryan I've watched wrestling since I was a little kid so I kind of know a lot about it. And well let's just cut the crap. You want a shot at this title don't you?" The fans hceer upon hearing that. "Now listen champ, its in the best interest of AEW to keep that title away from MJF. You beat MJF one time I am the man that can beat MJF every time," Danielson says. "You know Bryan I am real tempted to knock you on your ass after hearing that," Riley says. Before Danielson can respond MJF's music starts to play. The now former champion appears looking like he he hasn't slept in a week. "No not going to happen!" MJF is yelling before he even gets a microphone. MJF finally grabs a microphone from Justin Roberts. "This isn't happening! No one is jumping the line, no one is denying me what is mine," MJF screams getting into the ring. "This is perfect for me see I have two goals to be AEW world champion and pay you back for what you did to my mentor," Bryan Danielson says. "Your mentor, Bryan no one cares about your mentor anymore," Max says.

"He is right Bryan I mean that guy is back working for Banana Nose," Riley inputs. Bryan is advancing toward Max. "Put one hand on me and I'll sue," Max threatens. "Max I assume you want a rematch. Bryan you seem to want another title shot. So I guess that means it's up to me," Riley says. "Except it's not Riley. Now maybe in Omaha Nebraska they never explained how contracts work. But I have a little thing called a rematch clause," Max yells. And of course since he's an ass he had to a stereotypical redneck accent when saying Omaha Nebraska. "Max, Stering is really ripping you off. The rematch clause doesn't mean you get the next title shot," Mandy says.

"Oh what you do you know you damn big breasted bimbo. Go post some topless picks to your knock off Only..." Before Max can finish Riley having heard enough and shove him into the corner. Soon a fight between the three men breaks. It starts when Danielson tries to get Riley to back off only for Riley to slap him. MJF tries to attack both men only to chopped by Danielson and kicked by Riley. Flying knee by Danielson drops Riley just as officials run out and separate the three men.

Backstage

Renee Paquette was backstage outside an office. "Guys, Tony Khan and Riley Morgan have been in this office for several minutes. From what I understand something very important is going on," Renee says. A few seconds later Riley walks out of the office. "Oh hey Renee," he says. "Riley, can I ask you what you were talking to Tony about?" "I've never been one to waste time. So MJF you want your rematch you got it. Bryan Danielson, you want a shot. Well you both got it," Riley says. "Riley a three way? That is a huge test for your first title defense," Renee says. "Except it won't be first title defense. See I'm for better or worse a guy who like a fight. So I am thinking next week how about me vs..."

Before Riley can finish Rush flanked by Jose and Preston Vance walks into the shot. Rush removes his sunglasses and locks eyes. Jose speaks. "Riley Morgan if you are looking for a challenger, then look no further than Rush." "You won't have to worry about MJF or Bryan Danielson," Rush adds. "You'll do," Riley says confidently.

Riley and Mandy's home

"Mandy, you home?" Sonya asks coming in the door. There were few people that could just walk right in without knocking much less calling it was Sonya. "I'm in kitchen," Mandy responded. "There you are," Sonya says. "So what is going on?" Mandy asks. "What I can't just drop in to see my best friend one of the few days we are in the same city?" Sonya asks. "You had lunch yet? We have some pasta left over from last night and you being here will keep me from eating it all," Mandy says. "Your mom's recipe?" Mandy just nods. "When have I ever turned down Mama's Rose cooking. Is Riley going to hate me for eating his lunch?" Sonya asks. "Riley is now on a very strict diet plan and he hit his limit for pasta with how much he ate last night," Mandy says with a smile. "Did he start his diet before or after he became world champion?" Sonya asks. "After he found out he facing Danielson and MJF at Revolution," Mandy says.

"I can relate. I got some good news. They are pairing me up with Chelsea Green to form a tag team," Sonya says. "Awesome. You two should make a great team," Mandy says. "So what about you?" Sonya asks. "Well they are dong this feud with former WWE wrestlers vs. the rest of the women's division. I would fit into that," Mandy says. "Which side?" Sonya asks. "I have a meeting with Tony to pitch some ideas you will have to just watch," Mandy says. "Do you want me to lose my job?" Sonya jokes. "The way things change in that company you could get fired, rehired, fired again, than rehired in about three hours," Mandy says. "What are you doing?" Sonya asks. "It hasn't been that long since we were roommates. I always fill out a calendar," Mandy says. "I'm talking about the little stars. See when you fill out it's with info like here when you note what the thing you need to remember is. So what is with the stars?" Sonya asks. "You can't tell anyone alright. Riley and I are trying to keep this private. We are trying to have a baby and these are the days I will likely be most likely to..." "Okay I get it... wait a baby?" Sonya says.

Mandy just nodded happily before Sonya hugged her. "Why didn't you tell me until now?" "You never asked," Mandy jokes. "What about your career?" "Cross the bridge when I get there. I mean other women have come back. Oh right I need to make a call give me a second," Mandy says pulling out her phone. "Something up?" Sonya asks. "Just seeing if there is a direct flight for this one show. Riley wants to try and visit Omaha," Mandy says. "Things any better with his sibling?" Sonya asked. "No," Mandy says.

Being The Elite

Hangman Page was Backstage as a shot already in his gear. Off in the distance the Dark Order can been seen in the distance. Riley rounds the corner and runs into Hangman. "Oh sorry," Riley says. "Nah my bad," Hangman replies. It takes a second fo the two old friends to realize who each other are. "Hey congratulations on that," Page says pointing to the AEW world title on Riley's shoulder. "Thank man. Members of the same club again," Riley says awkwardly. "Yeah yeah, as the new guy you have to bring snakes to the next meeting. But seriously congrats and thank you for shutting MJF's mouth for a while," Hangman says. "Nice bonus. Look Hangman... Adam be careful with this Mox stuff. I've known that guy a long time and I know how tough you are. But man that guy has a way of getting into people's head and I'm speaking from experience," Riley says.

"Riley I know but I got to do this," Hangman says. Riley just nods. "I got to go meet up with the Bucks and Kenny you know you should... Ah never mind. It was good seeing you," Riley says. "Yeah we should meet up after the show tonight," Hangman says. "I would but I got stuff I need to take care of," Riley says. "I understand. See you around," Hangman says befoe walking the opposite direction from the Dark Order.

AEW TV Taping

Riley was next to Renee Paquette doing a pre tape. "Riley Morgan, it has been confirmed at Revolution you will be defending the AEW world championship in a triple threat match against both Bryan Danielson and MJF. What are your thoughts? Because that a tough match for the champion," Renee says. "You know Renee, this belt on my shoulder right now is the newest of the various major world titles. But in very short order I feel it's become the most prestigious world championship. Just look at who has held it four of the all time greats and two young guns who have the potential to be all time greats. And then there is me. Well I beat one of those young guns when I dropped MJF on his head. Bryan Danielson everyone knows you are one of the greatest of all time, hell on just pure in ring performance you might the greatest ever. But I got this," Riley says holding up the belt. "Riley are you going to make any changes to your training or schedule?" Renee asks.

Just before Riley can respond Rush enters the shot followed by Jose the Assistant. Rush looks right at the AEW world title. "You know Riley it sounds like you are about to make it clear you plan to be the kind of champion MJF was. Are you really going to run and hide with so many deserving contenders?" Jose says. "You talk to much," Riley says annoyed. "Hey you need worry about me!" Rush says. "Be careful what you wish for," Riley says.

Later

Renee stood between Mandy and Jamie Hayter. Jamie had the AEW women's title on her shoulder. "Fans this Friday on Rampage. It is an AEW women's championship eliminator. Mandy Rose if you can defeat Jamie Hayter you will get a title shot," Renee says. "Mandy I feel like there has been enough disrespect lately. So I don't want do the whole insult for insult thing that happens in promos. Now I'm sure you have this dream of taking the AEW women's title, even holding it side by side with Riley's world title. But as I look at what is to come with this company in the months a head, and I have to be the champion," Jamie says. "So is this the part where you tell me Hayter hits hard?" Mandy asks interrupting. "I don't need to tell you since you are about..." Jamie stops as Saraya walks up behind Mandy. "You and I need to talk," is all Saraya says to Mandy.
