Saphira could not sleep very well at the end of that shift. There was not much else that happened during the night after the incident with Afton's brainwashed people as Springtrap hid in the usual bathroom, and he even refused to eat. That worried Saphira as she knew he has already starved himself once before, and he could definitely do it again. She felt awful. She didn't know what to do now. As much as she wanted to feel like she was protecting him and herself from Afton, she also might be playing into his hands. It was a really hard situation that she was not happy about at all.
But she now had his blessing to do what she needed to in order to be safe. She didn't know if she could beat Afton yet, but she would certainly try. At the very least, Saphira began to think of a way to take over ownership of Fazbear Horror and Pizzeria Attraction. That was something that could be a win for them, but it would not be a victory. Afton didn't seem like the type to crawl into hiding like a scared cat.
Despite everything, Saphira was preparing to drive to the attraction. She did not know if Mike would actually be at the attraction tonight, but someone would be since she wasn't allowed to be there tonight. She made sure the tracker was ready and connected with the app on her phone. She was hopeful that she would be able to pinpoint Afton's address. She didn't care if it was not his actual home, but at least she would know where the base of operations would be. And, potentially, the animatronics that Afton had kept for himself.
Dressing in black, Saphira made sure to wear gloves so she would not leave any fingerprints behind, even though she thoroughly disliked gloves. It was necessary just for tonight. She knew once she finished she couldn't come home, but she didn't know what she would do once she completed her task. She didn't care, and she would figure it out soon.
She had to leave her home at the usual time so her parents would not get suspicious of her. She did hope to sneak back home, as her parents didn't get up until after six anyway, so she might be able to get away with that, but she would plan that out. She made her way out of the house to her Corolla. She felt nervous, but she reminded herself that it was necessary.
She drove silently to the attraction and parked her Corolla underneath a tree in a nearby street. She did not see any truck parked at the attraction just yet, so she had to be patient. This gave her time to put a head scarf on, covering her face, with the exception of her eyes. She had considered wearing a full face mask, but decided against it. Afton would figure it out regardless.
She sat in the car, watching the attraction quietly. There were guests still here, and she knew she probably could have come here just before midnight. But in case Afton turned up before midnight, she wanted to be ready, even if Friday night was a very, busy night. She listened to music while waited, and kept a good watch of surroundings as she made sure to not park near a streetlight. People would have a hard time seeing her.
The hours pass by slowly and when it did hit midnight, nothing happened. Not yet, at least. She did notice that Mike's car was in the lot, which at least said that he could be here. But she wasn't about to send a text to ask, he might get suspicious. She soon spotted the black RAM pulling into the lot. She was relieved Afton did not drive down the street she had parked. This was a safe place. Soon after, a large truck drove into the lot and she smiled as she knew the nightmare animatronics were on it.
Afton got out of the RAM and walked into the attraction while the driver of the small truck drove over to the loading dock door and backed up to it, only stopping to wait. The roller door began to roll up a few minutes later and the truck back in a little further before coming to a stop and the air brakes hiss loudly as the driver put it in park. She assumed this was another brainwashed person as a man climbed out and walked into the loading dock.
Okay, it is now or never.
Saphira thought about placing the tracking device onto Afton's truck, but it might not go to the same place. The truck might not get driven much, and having it stationary might be the best thing for it. She didn't have two devices unfortunately as she wasn't expecting two vehicles. Nonetheless, she got out of the care and proceeded to carefully make her way over to the attraction. She was glad there were no external cameras or many windows, as that would make things a lot harder for her. It wouldn't stop her if there was though.
She took extreme care as she approached the side of the building. She could hear talking inside. Well, shouting actually. Afton and Mike were arguing, it would seem. She heard her name thrown a few times, and she knew that they were talking about her. They didn't sound like they were in the loading dock area itself though, so that was a good thing. She still had to be cautious. She eyed off the truck and glanced at the loading dock door as she took deep breaths. She could do this, and she had to do this.
She grabbed out the tracker and pulled out a tube of E6000 glue, which was one of the strongest glues that she knew of. She hoped it would stick to the truck enough that it would remain until it returned to its destination. She opened the glue and ran over to the truck, kneeling down and applying the glue to the back of the track. She reached into the back tyre and stuck the tracker inside, pressing firmly and staring into the loading dock nervously. She was out of the line of sight from the cameras, and that was a good thing, but she knew she still had to be careful.
She waited a couple minutes before gently pulling at the tracker. It wiggled slightly, but it seemed to be very stuck. Good. She moved away and closed the glue, putting it away. She was relieved that she had succeeded, and quickly checked her phone to see she was picking up the signal. And she was. That was good. She considered stepping into the loading dock and peering into the back of the truck. She knew she was foolish to assume the night animatronics were still inside, but she was still curious about what they look like.
She gasped and covered her mouth with both hands when she heard some loud scuffling inside the attraction, and she did not know if Afton and Mike were doing something, or something else was happening. She would certainly be asking the animatronics tomorrow when she returned. She took the chance though as she quickly walked between the truck and doorway. She glanced up at the camera briefly before turning her head to peer into the truck. She was just lucky the attraction's cameras do not record anything they see.
Looking inside the truck, Saphira was met with very large, glass containers with the corners reinforced with strong steel. She was surprised to see such containers, though they all had circular holes in them so the animatronics could breathe. Four of the containers were empty, and it seemed Nightmare Freddy, Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Chica and Nightmare Foxy had already been taken into the attraction. Saphira wasn't even sure if they woke the animatronics up, or they managed to carry them somehow. She would rather believe they were woken up.
The ones that had been left behind were Nightmare Mangle, Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare. All three of them appeared to be asleep with their heads down and eyes closed. Saphira was rather curious about the animatronics as she could just make them out. Though Nightmare as harder to see. Nightmare Fredbear was definitely taller than Fredbear, and she was almost certain his body was larger as well. She could just see the rows of very sharp teeth in his mouth, long claws and she faintly saw teeth along his stomach. It was an interesting design, but he certainly looked intimidating. Saphira shivered a little, even though she knew she wasn't going to let their appearance get to her.
She glanced behind her quickly to make sure the coast was clear before quickly snapping a photo and walking away from the truck and attraction quickly. She took a deep breath and placed her hand on her chest. Her heart was beating very quickly and she knew she would need to calm herself down somehow. She needed to get away from the attraction first before she would even be able to relax. She hoped she didn't leave any evidence behind though, as she did not wish for Afton to attack her.
She soon made it to her Corolla and she removed the head scarf, sighing in relief and removed the gloves from her hands. She looked at her hands as they glistened due to the layer of sweat on her skin. She now didn't know what to do as she checked the time, and saw it was two-thirty. She sighed deeply as she knew she had a few hours left until six. She needed to figure out what she should do exactly. For the moment, her stomach growled at her and she decided to head to a nearby McDonald's. It was open twenty-four hours, so she could sit in the restaurant comfortably. Plus, it was less chance that she would be spotted by Afton. At least she hoped so.
After arriving at the restaurant, Saphira ordered a double cheeseburger meal with a chocolate sundae and sat in the restaurant to take her time eating the food. She opened her phone to take a closer look at the photo she had taken of the three animatronics. It wasn't going to be the best image, she knew that. But when she clicked on the photo in her gallery, she shivered as she saw that Nightmare had actually opened his eyes and was looking at her when she took the photo. She was shocked. She didn't even see that he opened his eyes. And they were red! She felt goose bumps on her skin as that was very creepy. It was like he sensed the very moment she took her eyes off him and this was the perfect moment.
She quickly decided to stop looking at the picture and opened the app to check the tracker. There was no movement currently, and she did not know how long Afton even intended to stay at the attraction. She didn't care though, she would know. And she hoped he wouldn't find the tracker so soon. She just tried to enjoy her food as best as she could for the time being, as that was the only source of comfort she had.
After another hour, Saphira sipped her coke and she soon noticed movement. She stared at her phone screen as the tracker began to move and she smiled. The nightmare animatronics were unloaded and now the driver was taking the truck back. She watched intently, waiting to see where the truck would go. It travelled through the city to the other side. She saw that the truck seemed to be heading into the more countryside of the city where people can own farms.
She wondered if this is where Afton's base of operations was. She would get her answer after the truck seemed to turn onto a large property and came to a stop. Saphira waited to see if the truck would move after a certain amount of time, but it seemed like that wasn't going to be the case for the moment. Saphira knew she needed to figure out the address of this place, so she went onto Google Maps and carefully worked out the property. She used the human icon to get a view of the property. It definitely looked like a farm. It appeared to have a white cottage with a few sheds. Obviously, she could not see everything through Google Maps, but it was a start and she decided maybe she should drive to the property.
She wouldn't get out though, just memorize where the place was exactly so she could plan to sneak onto the property. Even if that seemed like one of the worst ideas she had. She got up from her seat to head out to her car. She looked around cautiously before getting into her car and driving away. It would take thirty minutes to get to the other side of town to the countryside and another five minutes before she was even close to where the truck had been driven to.
Saphira did eventually recognize the gate entrance to the property. The entrance had worn, wooden fences either side of the entrance with dead plants. Quite the fitting place for Afton's base to be. She pulled to the side and observed the property curiously. She didn't know what she would expect to find here, but she did also spot the black RAM parked by the house. At least it meant that Afton was no longer at the attraction. She hoped she hit the jackpot. But now was not the time sit and wait, she drove away after finishing her observation.
She glanced at the time on the dash, and saw that it was fifteen minutes until five thirty, this gave her the time to drive back to McDonald's, and head home. She wouldn't need to have an excuse now. Her night was filled with information that Saphira hoped to make use of. She certainly wanted to tell Springtrap, but he made it clear that he didn't want to talk with her for a while.
She took her time driving back home. So many things were going through her mind. She was tempted to turn around to go back to the property, but she did not want to. Not yet. It would probably be too dangerous, so she had to take one step at a time. She could return home and draw up a new plan. She still needed answers, after all. She thought about returning to the den full of Afton's diaries. She wondered what triggered his motive to even want to rule the world. The diaries weren't clear, even though she wasn't sure they were his real diaries.
When she returned to the city, she made her way home and parked in the driveway at the usual time that she usually returns to. She made her way into the house and head up to her room. She yawned as she felt tired from doing all the stuff she did that night. It felt nice to be home now, and she went to take a shower.
Once she finished and got into her pyjamas, she sat at her desk and began to write things down. She thought about a few different plans for the moment and she would flesh them out over time. She checked her phone a few times to see if the truck has moved. And it has not. So far, so good. She decided it was best to not be paranoid, so she gave it up for a time to head to bed.
But despite all of that, Saphira didn't know how to feel about going back to the attraction. She was sad that things were going to be different for a while. She knew she had to mend things, but it might take a long time. She's hurt Springtrap, even though it felt like she was trying to protect him as much as she was protecting herself. She was upset and frustrated at the same time, but she would be careful for a short time.
I am so sorry, Springtrap. I still don't actually know if my feelings are the same as yours, but I do know I feel love for you. Some kind of love, but I don't know how to feel it. I am sorry, and I hope you will understand eventually.
She managed to fall asleep this time, even though it was a very restless sleep. She was tossing and turning all night. She kept dreaming about Springtrap. He was standing there, and she tried to reach out to him, but he was always so far. It made her cry during her sleep, which made her feel even more weary upon waking up for her Saturday shift. Her heart was hurting, and she wished she could repair it. But she had to be patient.
She sat on her bed, hugging her knees as she thought about it. She let some more tears fall before she forced herself up to wash her face. She took deep breaths, feeling her chest tighten and she realized she might end up having some panic attacks again. She was not looking forward to them. But she had to get to work. She had no choice. She didn't know what to expect.
The one thing that she did know, was that she was going to be meeting the nightmare animatronics tonight. Nightmare was the only one who had seen her. But as she was dressed in all black, he likely won't recognize. And her green eyes hopefully couldn't be seen in the dark, so she hoped Nightmare would not say anything. He might, but she would wait and see. But a part of her was excited to meeting them. They could be new friends after all. And, hopefully, a distraction for a short time. She needed it.
She left the house, feeling as though she was in a daze. Her feelings felt…she wasn't sure how to describe it now. She decided to stop by a Starbucks on the way to get some coffee. She was definitely going to need a caffeine pick-me-up before starting her shift. It was going to be an interesting night. And she didn't know what she could even hope for tonight. The only thing she wanted was to not get hurt. That was the main thing.
