One Week Later…

It has been a week since the nightmare animatronics first arrived. And it has been going exceptionally well. They were all settling down in the pizzeria, but Nightmare was still wanting to do things during the night when the other employees leave. It was something he insisted on every day, and it was something that the other animatronics were a little annoyed about, but they did do their best to try and join in Nightmare's activities. Saphira found them fun. When she and Springtrap weren't doing something together, they were joining in with the others. It was a very pleasant time. Especially as she and Springtrap seemed to have mended their friendship.

Being another week, Saphira was at home and staring at the sketch of the Freddle. She had not forgotten it since Afton had it thrown at her the previous week. She was still trying to figure out the message from it, because it really made no sense. And because of that, Saphira was now tempted to go to the source of Afton's lair. Since the tracker was still active at the same property that Afton had parked it at, Saphira had thought about going back there. She wanted to know more about the animatronics, and Afton's intentions.

She knew he wants to dominate the world, and using living animatronics was a way to do that. But she did wonder if there were other intentions. The Freddle he had thrown at Saphira was implying he wanted something from her, and he's told her that there was something more than once. The bean-shaped rubber inside the Freddle was a shape she wasn't sure she should guess. She had thought of it a few times, and it made her stomach twist uncomfortably. She did not tell the animatronics what she thinks of the idea, as she knew they would think she was crazy. But she couldn't help but think about it.

Saphira looked at the clock to see she had to start heading to the pizzeria. She smiled as she thought about what to do with Springtrap. She had actually bought something for the two of them, instead of relying what was in the pizzeria already. She had purchased two remote controlled cars, and she knew that he would likely enjoy racing them around. She had them packed in her bag, ready to take with her to the pizzeria, and stood up from her desk, making sure that all her evidence against Afton was hidden, before going out to her car to drive to the restaurant.

She saw it was another quiet night, maybe a bit quieter than last week. Saphira was happy about that. So long as she did not get a door slammed into her face again, of course. She parked her car near the back door to the pizzeria, and she made her way inside. She hummed softly to herself as she opened the door and walked inside. She wasn't sure if Mike would be here tonight or not. This is because Mike has been absent each night the past week. There was always a note as to why, and she was a little suspicious.

She walked into the office, and she flinched when she saw Mike at the computer. "Oh, Mike!" She smiled as she saw him, making him look up from his work on the computer as he heard her voice. "Nice to see you." She walked over to her desk to place her stuff down and sat on the chair. "I guess you must have had an easy week to be able to leave early."

Mike shrugged. "Yes, and no…" He rolled his eyes in slight irritation as he listened to her. "Um…Mister Afton has been preparing for something. He and I are going away for a while." She raised an eyebrow as she looked at him curiously. "This is kind in preparation for the renovation in a few months, so you aren't going to see or hear from me for a while."

"Really?" Saphira was very surprised to hear that. "When are you leaving? And are you leaving the city, or are you going to still be in the city and working with Afton?"

"Well, I would tell you, but I can't," Mike responded with in a serious tone. "He has made it very clear. I also can't tell you how long I will be away for. It could be for a few weeks, or even a couple months." She did not know why, but she guessed there was a good reason for it. "I know this is last minute, and honestly, I wasn't expecting it. But I can't say no to him. It is important for the pizzeria."

I am sure it is…but if they leave, and Afton's house is not where they are going, I might get the chance to slip in and find what is hidden in that building for myself.

"Well, I guess he must have found something that needed your full attention. I can hold down the fort while you and the boss go do whatever it is you need to." Saphira smiled at him confidently, giving him a salute gesture. "I guess does that mean you have other things you want me to do while you are away? Any responsibilities that you would normally take on, but need me to do?"

Mike thought about the question thoughtfully as he had not actually thought about it. "Hmm…not sure yet…I have to think of it for you, Saphira. But it probably won't be that serious, to be honest." He shrugged a little as he looked back at the computer screen. Saphira could see he was working on some kind of document, and she wondered what it said, but she could not see the words very well. "You will most likely just take some of my general duties regarding the animatronics, but that's it."

Saphira had no idea what that meant, but she already knew that she would have no problem with that. "Well…I guess that won't be too difficult. Since I am not needed here during the day, those duties will likely be easier at night." Mike nodded in agreement. "I guess this means you are trying to get work done before you leave."

"Yeah, mainly the payroll and such. That I will have to do while I am away, but doing a lot of stuff now is going to save me so much headache later." He hit enter and rubbed his forehead in frustration. "Finally! All finished for the night! Until tomorrow…" He let out a light chuckle and turned to face Saphira. "It is nice that I have someone who I can trust to look after the place, Saphira. Not many of the employees here live up to the same standard in my book."

She was surprised at his compliment, and did not take it to heart. "Oh…thanks." She smiled at him politely with a light shrug. "I don't want to pat myself on the back though. I have not been working here for that long, Mike, and I don't think it is right to say you trust me more than the others."

"A nice humble thing to say. Don't worry." Mike waved his hand casually at her with a light chuckle. He turned back to the computer to save and click off the document he had up. "You should be proud of yourself as well, Saphira. You've done a fantastic job since you started here." Saphira knew he was lying, but she listened to him quietly. "That is why I have confidence in you. You really should be proud of yourself."

Saphira really did not know what to say to that, other than force herself to smile at him. "I appreciate the kind words, Mike. But honestly, I have only been here a short time, and it hasn't been difficult. So…it's all good."

The man smiled as he continued to do something on the computer, and Saphira was curious as to what that is. "I will say, with winter approaching, you might find more trespassers coming into the place. Don't ask me why, but apparently, after Halloween and Thanksgiving, people seem to think trespassing right before Christmas is okay. But we do get some special Christmas stuff in."

She wasn't entirely surprised. Some people think, because it is winter, that nothing would happen because it is considered too cold to do anything. "I will be aware of that, Mike. I haven't had to worry too much thankfully, so I think I'll be fine when it comes to Christmas."

"Good." Mike seemed to finish whatever he was working and he pit the computer into sleep mode. He stretched his arms up with a smile before he stood up and grabbed his jacket to slip on. "I hope you have a good night for tonight, Saphira." She nodded affirmatively that she would have a good night. Mike walked towards the door and glanced back at her. "I hope you keep an eye on the time."

She frowned as that was such an odd thing to. "Um...yes, I do." He seemed satisfied and walked to the back door. "Uh, have a goodnight..." She hears the door shut and she frowned. "Weirdo...why the hell did he say that to me?"

I hope you keep an eye on the time.

She glanced at the clock on the wall as she did not know if he meant a physical clock, or maybe it was a reference to something else. It seemed like a warning...possibly. Saphira decided to push that to the back of her mind for the time being and opened a packet of chips to nibble on while she waited for the other employees to leave. The pizzeria was empty already, and Saphira was happy about that.

She checked the cameras casually, and she paused when she saw in the art room of the Haunted Classroom there was paint everywhere. The staff have not cleaned in. But she could see footprints on the floor, and it took her a moment to recognize they were Springtrap's footprints. He got himself covered in paint again. She could not help but giggle as that was amusing to her. He only got paint on him the week before, but it seemed he got paint on him again.

She had to wait for the employees to leave first before she could actually go and do anything. He probably will be all clean by the time she reached him anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. She was just annoyed that she and the animatronics would have to clean up the mess that had been left behind. That was one thing they had to do tonight before she could convince Springtrap to race a remote-control car with her.

It was around ten-thirty when the last employee left, and Saphira got out of her seat to make her way to the Haunted Classroom. Normally, she would do her rounds, but it can wait for now. She had to find him. She went through the main dining room, and she felt the eyes of the animatronics on her as she walked by them without saying anything to them. She didn't want to be rude, but she was very focused at the moment.

Once she reached the hallway, she walked towards the Haunted Classroom, only to stop when she saw the footprints of blue paint leading towards the usual bathroom Springtrap hides in. And there was the sound of a shower coming from inside. She smiled and she walked over to the door, pushing it open to step inside. She tiptoed quickly and peered out the wall, looking into the shower area of the bathroom. She saw the one stall that was occupied, and she could see Springtrap's feet.

She tiptoed over to the door, covering her mouth with her hand to keep herself from giggling. She focused before she spoke. "Hello, Springtrap."

She heard the animatronic turn on his heel suddenly with a heavy thud of his feet. "Saphira? Is that you?" She covered her mouth with a light giggle, and she heard him sniffing the air. "Oh, it is you." He opened the door and he saw a giggling Saphira. "I see you decided to get back at me for the times you got scared."

She shrugged innocently. "I don't know what you are talking about, Springtrap. I just happened to follow those..." She points to the footprints on the ground. Springtrap's body was still covered in the paint, but it was running down his body. "So I guess you could say, I followed the yellow brick road."

Springtrap snorted in amusement and shook his head. "Is the yellow brick road in that old movie Wizard of Oz?" She didn't affirmatively. "A little strange you would use that, but whatever." He rolled his eyes and moved to stand under the shower. "If you are asking what happened, the last couple kids decided to throw the paint balloons at me. I was in the craft room, just watching them throw the darts at the balloons, when they decided to follow some balloons and throw them at me. They were so lucky they got out before I managed to wipe the paint from my eyes."

Saphira smiled kindly at him and she stepped inside the cubicle. "Kids can be cruel and stupid. Let me help you." She grabbed a cloth to begin wiping the paint off Springtrap's body. "I am surprised the other employees just left the mess too. I'm going to have to report that."

"Yes, you should." Springtrap nodded in agreement. "It's bad enough I had a balloon dropping on my head, it worse when kids throw them at me. I'm going to stay out of that room when people are in there." He sighed deeply and looked at her with a smile. "And I am sorry you have to come and clean it from my body. But at least it's washing off very quickly."

"I don't mind, Springtrap. You don't need to apologize. Besides, I have something that you might be happy about." He tilts his head a little as he looked at her curiously. "I bought a couple remote controlled cars, and you and I can probably race them. We can set up various courses as well."

"Really? I don't think I have used them before. That sounds like fun." He smirked as he thought about it. "We will have to share with the others as well, Saphira. We can't be selfish."

"I know." Saphira was happy about the idea of helping. Though she kind of distracted as she watched the water run down Springtrap's body, and the steam rising from his metal casing. She couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for his body, and she felt herself blushing again. "At least this shouldn't be a regular occurrence."

"It should not." Springtrap himself was also slightly distracted. As Saphira was wearing a white shirt, getting wet makes it slightly transparent. Springtrap did not make it obvious though, even though he could see the shirt sticking to her skin, and he could see her blue, speckled bra. "I am afraid I don't have anything to report today either. Mike seemed to be acting normal. We are still expecting him to announce the date for the renovations at some point."

Saphira raised an eyebrow at him. "Really? He just told me that he and Afton are going to go somewhere with Afton for a while...whatever that means." She shrugged a little as she wiped off more of the paint, and thankfully, he will be clean in a moment. "Plus, he also said something else, which I don't get."

"Another riddle?"

"I guess so. He said I hope you keep an eye on the time." She shrugged as she told him what Mike said. "I am not sure if he was meant to say that, but...it was weird."

"It is." Springtrap frowned as the choice of words certainly felt like a warning to her. He did not know what he should think of it either. "Maybe it could be able the renovations next year. But I could be wrong...since it is not far until that time." She could see that as being the reason why Mike said that, but as it is obviously some kind of riddle, they might not figure it out for a while. "Considering there are so ma y things to worry about, we only need to worry about cleaning the pain tonight."

She smiled and nodded in agreement. "You are right." She stepped back as she saw that the paint was completely washed off Springtrap's body. "You are clean! Let me get you a towel."

Springtrap smiled as he turned off the water. He would dry very quickly, but he was happy she would get a towel. As Saphira walked out to grab a towel, she walked by the mirror and glanced at it when she noticed her now damp shirt was transparent. She widened her eyes as she could see her bra, and her bellybutton through her shirt. She immediately blushed as soon as she realized that Springtrap might have noticed. She smirked a little before grabbing two towels, before walking back to the cubicle and giving one to Springtrap.

He took it happily, only to notice she had a towel and she began to furiously try to dry her shirt. Springtrap noticed her cheeks were red, and he could just see her reflection in the mirror. He smiled as she was reacting rather funny to him. That made him think that she knew that he had seen through her shirt, and that she either was embarrassed or, perhaps, she subconsciously liked it and was trying to hide it. It was kind of cute.

Saphira herself was also reminding herself to wear an undershirt the next shift. She didn't need this happening again. She did manage to dry her shirt just enough that it wasn't too transparent. She did not need to walk out of the bathroom and have the other animatronics see. It would be almost like they would see her naked. The very idea was kind of troubling to her, even though it was also amusing.

When she was done, Saphira looked at the footprints on the brick floor before she walked to the cubicle. "I'm going to go and find a mop bucket and a mop. Well...several...we are going to need help from everyone else to get the paint cleaned up." Springtrap smiled at her as he stepped out now that he was dry again. "Not the most interesting thing to do tonight, but we have to or the paint will dry, and make it harder to clean later."

Springtrap nodded in agreement. "Looks like we're raiding the cleaning supply closets." He chuckled softly as Saphira just grinned at him and walked out of the bathroom.

Saphira jumped with a gasp as she almost walked right into Bonnie. "Bonnie!" She exclaimed as she placed her hand on her chest. "Oh my gosh! You scared me."

The animatronic let out a light chuckle as he smiled at her. "I apologize. I guess you already know about the paint that we have to clean up." She nodded affirmatively. "Toy Chica, Golden Bonnie, Toy Bonnie, Chica and Freddy are getting the mop buckets ready from the staff area, and there should be a storage closet in this hallway with cleaning supplies too. We can raid that as well."

"At least we will make light work of it with everyone pitching in," Saphira said as she walked around Bonnie. She walked towards the storage closet and opened the door, letting out a shriek of surprise and covered her head when a broom handle suddenly fell out, but stopped as it was leaning against a bucket. "What is it with things trying hit my face?!"

"Apparently I've started a domino effect." She turned her head to see Nightmare with a sympathetic expression. "Sorry...I guess we need to make sure you don't get hit in the face again."

She smiled at him as she knew it wasn't because of him. "It is not because of you." She grabbed the two mops and dragged the buckets out. "Bad luck happens to everyone. Some days, I will stub my toe, scrap my knee and bump my head, all within a few hours. Everyone has those kind of days, even weeks. Plus, it's been a week since anything hit me in the face."

"I guess that is true...but I still feel bad." He smiled at her as he rubbed the back of his head. "But at least it didn't whack you in the head." He leaned down to pick up the buckets and Saphira hands the mops to Bonnie. Springtrap was leaning on the wall, watching quietly. "I don't suppose you have any kind of plan for the night, one we are finished?"

Saphira nodded as she grabbed the detergent and an empty bucket to use to help fill the mop buckets. "I bought a couple remote controlled cars, and I brought them in to race again Springtrap." Nightmare immediately seemed excited and intrigued as he listened to what she had planned. "I plan on sharing, don't worry. I only have two, so we need to be fair. Plus, you all need to learn how to drive them as well."

Nightmare was extremely excited as he followed Saphira through a door, leading to a small washroom with washing machines and dryers, and a large sink. "That sounds exciting!" Nightmare said enthusiastically. "I guess that means we can set up new courses for each race, and almost never get bored! That sounds like a plan!"

Saphira nodded in agreement as she filled the bucket with water. She gestured for Nightmare to place the mop buckets down and poured the detergent into them. "Eventually, we might get bored. But for now, I do believe it will be a good thing to do. And we can take bets, create special tracks and so on. I might get a couple more to make things more interesting, but for now, we can just have two cars."

Nightmare did not mind at all. It was a great way to waste the time during the night. But they have to focus on cleaning first. It might not take too long, but it was better now than later. Saphira needed the distraction, as Mike's words were still repeating in her mind. She did not know if it was a threat to her own life, but as far as she knew, Afton was giving her a lot of time. If that has changed, she was not aware of that at all.

Once the mop buckets were full, Saphira, Springtrap, Bonnie and Nightmare would make their way into the craft room of the Haunted Classroom to make a start on cleaning. They were quickly joined with Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Golden Bonnie, Freddy, Chica, Mangle, Foxy, Toy Foxy and Nightmare Fredbear. They all wanted to clean up, while the others would keep an eye out for any potential trespassers.

When Saphira told them about the remote-controlled cars, they were all excited by the idea. They all could not wait to see them, and get the chance to play with the cars as well. Both Foxy and Toy Foxy said that they might not get to, since they, along with Phantom Foxy and Nightmare Foxy, had a hook, so they might not be able to use the controls very well. However, Saphira did tell them that they should try to use the controllers anyway.

Though as they spoke more about it, Saphira began to think of potentially using a remote-control car to sneak into Afton's place. She did not know what kind of security he would have in his house, and if there were dangers, a small toy may not necessarily be something Afton would be expecting. And she could attach a camera. Though it would mean engineering one of the toy cars for what she needed. But she couldn't use the ones she brought with her. Afton would know they were hers. She needed a new car.

And Saphira wasn't exactly great with robotics or anything like that, so it would likely take a bit of time to get it sorted. But with Mike and Afton set to leave for something, Saphira wanted to know what Afton had in his home. He undoubtedly had a lab there of some sort, and Saphira wanted to find it out. So she knew she was going to have to study robotics, programming and engineering to create what she wanted. And it might take sometime, but she had to think outside the box. This was one of them. Otherwise, if she decided to walk onto Afton's property, she might not come back. And she knew that.
