At the Abandoned Dorm

Yuna stood silently just outside the entrance to the Abandoned Dorm. Even though it was technically against school rules to be here, she couldn't bring herself to pass up the chance to visit the grounds around the area. She figured that if she didn't go inside the building itself, the faculty wouldn't have mind her. Despite Taku's insistence that there had been nothing to find back when he had undergone a search himself, Yuna had gone inside, desperate to find some clues about her cousin Kamui's disappearance. So, with Taku keeping watch outside, she had searched the dorm as much as she could. But like Taku had told her, there was nothing of interest to find. It was disheartening, but Yuna wasn't ready to give up on Kamui just yet.

Wherever you are I hope you are staying safe and sound Kamui. She thought to herself solemnly as she placed a red rose on the ground next to the side of the building. She didn't see it as an admission of giving up, but rather as a reminder to keep on believing that he was still out there somewhere.

As Yuna started to leave, she stopped short when she saw Slade near the front entrance to the dorm, poised to go inside.

She strode towards him as a attempt to interrogate him.

"What do you think you think you're doing here!?" Yuna asked sharply, causing Slade to turn around abruptly.

"I am here to enjoy some field trip ." Slade said sarcastically, visibly annoyed by Yuna's presence.

"Going into the Abandoned Dorm is against school rules. You could get expelled for this." Yuna warned Slade.

"I am just here to find out some dark secrets." Slade said with a smirk.

"Just what are you doing here, Slade?" Yuna asked.

"That's none of your business. So, why don't we both just pretend that we never saw each other here and leave alright?" Slade proposed.

"Fair enough. But make sure you don't do things you will regret later on". Yuna tried to warn him.

"You sure are bossy, but awww your so sweet to worry about me." he said the last part of the sentence sarcastically and then turned and went into the dorm, leaving Yuna standing outside by herself.

"Fujiwara-kun! and Slade! What are you two doing out here so late?" A familiar voice as Yuna and Slade squinted from the bright beam of the flashlight being pointed at them.

"I came here to get some clues for my Alchemy class". Slade said.

"Hibiki-sensei...I..Just" Yuna stammered helplessly knowing full she was not only out after curfew but also in a restricted area. Midori sighed as she allowed her arm holding the flashlight to drop.

Her eyes caugh sight of the rose lying in the grass and Midori closed her eyes sadly; it was silent between the trio before Midori opened her eyes and look at Yuna once again.

"You know...I taught your cousin Kamui-kun when he was a student here". Midori said causing Yuna too look of the side silently.

"When I found out that him and the rest of the students in the Obelisk Elite dorm suddenly went missing I was shaken, and me and several higher ups tried to find them but on condition we were told to keep it as a silent from outside Duel Academy that also includes our families like our parents who aren't working or studying at our school."

"Did many students from this dorm really disappeared Hibiki-sensei? Are those rumors true? Slade questioned out of curiosity.

"Yes and that is why they sealed the dorm and banned students from entering, and Fujiwara-kun's cousin Kamui was one of the students who went missing last year". Midori replied strongly, and Slade felt sorry for Yuna, and realized she warned him out of concern.

"Fujiwara-kun I understand what you're going through, Kamui-kun was taken away from you, from Tatsuragi-kun, and from this academy a year ago. You aren't alone in your suffering Fujiwara-kun never forget that". Midori finished with a small smile as Yuna nodded in understanding as her eyes gleaned slightly from the years she refuse to let fall.

"Come on, Slade! and Fujiwara-kun lets get back to your dorm and I promise I won't report you two in this time". Midori suggested and Yuna and Slade smiled as Yuna allowed to lead her away.

Duel Academy's cafeteria

At schools cafeteria Koyo, Misawa, and Chummley were telling ghost stories. Misawa narrated a scary one or at least scary as he could.

"I went into the woods, and underneath the full moon, I see a path leading tons cavern that seems...abandoned!" Misawa said taking his turn.

"Oh Really?" Koyo asked with interest. "And then what?"

"Then at back of the cavern I saw a vampire treking through the snow alone. Her lover thought she was a traitor to their clan, and cast her aside. She felt heartbroken, like everything is ripped apart from her. Her travels led to a dark castle with a gothic look to it. Candles lit area up so as if the roof and walls were strained blood. Once in, she found a lake filled with blood"...

"That's creepy" Chummley said while getting goosebumps.

"There may be something else about that water right Misawa?

"Yes, It was filled with dark shock that could drive her insane. The clan betrayed her because of her lineage that tied in with it. The vampire thought, they're so dead set that she's a part of this lake, may as well give them what they want. And so driven in despair, she dove right in. At first she felt nothing but floating there, but it turned out there was a black most tentacles grabbed and tried to pull her deeper into the lake. The Vampire struggled, but it was all vain and she drowned."

Chummley freaked by this,

"That story was all worth 19 stars!" Koyo said.

Both the Ra Duelist then turned to see Chummley hiding face in his hands. "You don't have to scare us all"

"Come on Chummley they're just fake, so you don't have to overreact". Koyo said while gently patting him in the back..

"Ha Ha Ha Ha", A laugh came behind the boys.

It was Professor Banner and Pharaoh.

"Sorry if I am scarying you". Banner apologized while adjusting his glasses.

"Professor Banner" The boys cried in unison.

"Don't you guys want to hear about the Abandoned Dorm?".

"Abandoned Dorm?" Koyo, Chummley, and Misawa asked together..

Banner pulled up a chair and sat down. "Did you know that there are actually four dorms on the island?" The boys shook their heads. "You only know of the three named after the legendary monsters, but back when this school was first build a special fourth dorm was first created. This dorm was made for those who were good as Obelisk but without rudeness and snobbery. In fact it was called the Millennium house or Obelisk Elite dorm."

"Really?" The boys asked.

Banner nodded. "Nobody talks about it anymore because they closed it after many students started to disappear"

"Where did they go?" Chummley asked.

"Well thats the mystery of it." Banner replied. "But there were rumors that it has something to do with Shadow Games."

"Shadow Games?" Misawa asked.

"Thanks, you can stop now". Chummley pleaded from behind another table.

"You see children, Shadow Games are duels that are played with mystical objects known as Millennium Items. Misawa, this is what we discussed today in class today remember"

"Oh yeah the game of Duel Monsters started in ancient Egypt."

"That's correct, but the Egyptians, dueling style was in Shadow Games. But then a team of researchers also started disappearing, so the rest were afraid of investigating it would lead them being grapes forever in Shadow Realm. When Kaiba Crop first establish this school , they made it into dorm, but then the students who lived there started to disappear as well so they shut down".

"My sister never told me this" Koyo said. "But I don't believe in those Shadow Games and Millennium items" He added dismissively.

Banner chuckled and adjusted his glasses, "Well everyone who knows about this incident are told to keep it silent from public." Pharaoh yawned. "Well I think that's my due to get back to my room, goodnight children". Banner left .

"Good Night Professor". Koyo, Chummley, and Misawa said.

"I guess it must be that rundown building that was X-ed out on this map". Misawa said pulling out his Pilot.

"Then you can lead us tomorrow night". Koyo said,

"What do you mean tommorrow night". Chummley asked.

"We might find out about what happened to those missing students" Koyo said,

"I am sorry I am not going". Chummley said.

Noro heard the entire thing outside the cafeteria. "Great I can use this opportunity to finally expel insolent Koyo Hibiki." He said to himself with a evil smirk. He walked away thinking of the person who can assist.

With Noro and Titan at the Lighthouse

Noro tapped his foot impatiently on the ground near the lighthouse as he waited for the person he was supposed to be meeting. Thanks to Slade's failure during the promotion match, he was running out of ways to deal with Koyo. He had initially thought that a loss in front of the entire school would be the perfect way to ruin Koyo's dueling career and convince him to leave Duel Academy. But he should have known that Koyo would find a way to win. This time, Noro decided that more drastic action would be needed. While his first expulsion scheme had backfired on him, this time things were sure to be different. The man whose services he had sought out was known for his efficiency. Even if he failed to defeat Koyo in a duel, chances were that he would still be able to expel him from being in the wrong place at the wrong time if the plan worked out.

"I believe you are the one who has requested my services?" A deep voice sounded behind Noro, causing him to let out a surprised yelp.

Noro turned around to see the new arrival. Standing behind him was Titan

Regaining his composure, Noro smiled and answered the man. "I most certainly did. Thank you for arriving on such short notice, Mr., umm…" He fumbled at the end.

"Titan." The bulky menacing-looking man answered simply.

"Yes, that's it. Now, Mr. Titan. Since we have already gone over the specifics of what I require from you in this job during our phone conversation, all you'll really need now is your target." Noro said. He handed Titan a photo of Koyo.

Titan frowned slightly in recognition as he looked at the photo. "This boy is Koyo Hibiki who has the chance to become a rising Pro League star" He pointed out.

"Why should that make any difference? I already told you that it isn't necessary for you to actually win the duel. I just need it set up so that he gets caught at the Abandoned Dorm, and this is the perfect way to accomplish that." Noro said.

"Oh, I assure you that this won't hinder the completion of the task itself. But since I'm dealing with an opponent of a higher caliber, I will require a higher amount of payment to match that." Titan said shrewdly.

Noro couldn't help grumbling slightly at Titan's words. "Alright, fine. As long as the desired result is achieved, I suppose I shouldn't complain… Now, I've already spread rumors of suspicious activity going down at the Abandoned Dorm. And knowing how much Koyo loves a chance to be the center of attention, he should show up there tonight. So, with a little luck, everything should fall into place tonight. I'm counting on you." He encouraged Titan.

Titan grinned wickedly. "Don't worry. Expelled or not, that boy will be too frightened to ever want to duel again once I'm through with him. I'll be sure to let the shadows give him a warm welcome…" He trailed off.

The Next Day with Koyo at Ra Yellow

Over at the Ra dorm, it was silent, and around late night Misawa ended up falling asleep before he could even think of sneaking into the abandoned dorm and Chummley likely fell asleep in his dorm.

Koyo still dressed in his Ra Yellow uniform carefully left his room, and grabbed his duel disk, his deck still attached to his belt, before slowly opening the door.

All through the day today Koyo had been thinking of his options, he could take Misawa and Chummley with him to the abandoned dorm but it would be them at risk of being expelled too or he could leave them behind.

In the end it wasn't that hard for Koyo to chose, even though it was probably the most dangerous option.

He decide to go alone.

After placing his flash light on his pocket, Koyo carefully pulled the dorm door shut so not to wake up his dormmates, after successfully doing that he kept the device in his mouth as he slipped on his duel disk and made the correct adjustments.

The moment he finished Koyo grabbed the flash light back in his hand and turned it on, a bright bean shine through darkness and after taking deep breath Koyo slowly started making his way through the woods towards, if he remebered right, where the abandoned dorm was located.

With Koyo and Slade in the forest.

Slade pushes away some free branches with his arms, threading a path until he gets a sight on the infamous abandoned dorm. He heard many rumors about Shadow Games being conducted and yesterday Midori confirmed his suspscion of missing students.

His eyes carefully scan around before he ventures his feet there, it was dark and he turns his PDA light on to search better.

Fixating his eyes on it, his feet start leading him, as soon he steps at the border, his sense are sent into alert. He can hear someone's footstep approaching.

"Damn, who could even come here...?" A drop of sweat rolls as he gulps and starts frowning.

His eyes just open more at the figure approaching, the figure also gape upon awareness of his presence. He crosses his arms.

"You". Slade's voice hitches pooling at him, shocked.

"What are you doing here?" Koyo's eyes narrow in distrust.

"I could ask you the same, loser... I thought you got a warning for coming here". Slade disdainfully comments.

"Well looks like your on your way to abandoned dorm? Don't you have a reputation to watch out for? Or is it fine for Obelisk Blue to be caught breaking rules". Koyo retorts sharply.

"I won't snitch if you don't". He shrugs off admiting defeat. "More importantly, I take it you came here because something here got your attention".

"Why are you interested in this?" Koyo finally overcomes the shock, an inquiring game cast at him.

"Probably the same reason as you...The abandoned dorm, and missing students, this couldn't be more suspicious..."Don't you agree?

Koyo is stuck by awww with his answer. He sighs heavily, looking at him earnestly. "Fine let's take a look but we're sharing all the hints we get".

"We have a deal".

The two continue to travel in forest in search for abandoned dorm and Slade took the lead since he had been to the place yesterday

At the Abandoned Dorm main entrance

Yuna sighed sadly as she placed the bright red rose down in front of the dorm as she had done ever since she arrived at Duel Academy.

"Kamui-Oni-san where did you go?" She whispered quietly before the sound of someone stepping on a branch broke her thoughts; with a startled gasp she spun around expecting to see Midori once again.

"Koyo and Slade"

Instead she was greeted by the youngest Hibiki and Slade.

"Yuna? What are you doing here?" Koyo questioned as he walked forward with Slade, both of them carefully holding their flash light away from the purple eyes.

"That's what I was going to ask you. And Slade you know this area is restricted area right? You guys could get expelled if you're caught here". Yuna pointed out while crossing her arms over her chest; she was slightly embarrassed Koyo had almost caught her in a moment of weakness.

"Me and Slade heard rumors about what happened here in the abandoned dorm"... Koyo finally admitted and Yuna's eyes widened in shock as she remebered what Midori had told her yesterday night.

"Koyo how did you two know about it" Yuna asked in shock.

"Professor Banner was the one who told me about it yesterday. And do you have someone that disappeared in this dorm?"

"Yuna's cousin brother Kamui was one of the missing students who disappeared last year?". Slade replied to Koyo in a sympathetic tone.

Koyo's eyes went wide . "Is it true Yuna?"

"Yes he disappeared last year, and that's why I have my reasons to come here" She snapped.

Koyo and Slade looked away and stared the rose in the ground.

They looked back to see Yuna walking away.

"Well are we going? or not?" Slade questioned Koyo as he stared at the old building.

"Well let's go then." Koyo replied simply.

Koyo and Slade began to walk towards the dorm, with their flashlights leading their way

Meanwhile as Yuna was walking around backyard of the dorm before she could make a sound, a large hand was placed over her mouth, effectively silencing her. She could only squirm feebly as her kidnapper carried her through one of the busted windows of the dorm.

Once they were inside, Yuna was carried until they were in one of the rooms. "HELP! LET ME GO!" She screamed in terror as soon as the hand was removed from her mouth.

Right when it appeared that her captor was starting to loosen his hold on her, she felt a dampened cloth pressed against her face. With horror, Yuna recognized the scent on it: chloroform.

As she felt the last bits of her strength start to fade, Yuna spoke up while she still had the chance to. "Please! You don't have to do this! Release me right now" She begged desperately.

The man sighed wearily at Yuna's words. "Look, this is just part of the job and nothing more. I'll let you out later when this is all over." He said in a tone that sounded more bored than reassuring.

Trying to hold onto hope and make herself believe in the masked man's reassurance, Yuna felt herself succumb to unconsciousness as the effect of the chloroform took over.

With Misawa at Ra Yellow

Misawa groaned as he awoken from his sleep by a dream; with another quiet groan the muscular teenager pulled himself out of his bed and carried a water jug from his night stand and decide to go to the kitchen and get some water.

When he opened his room door to leave, it took a while for his sleepy mind to process but when it did his eyes widened in both shock and horror; Koyo's room door is opened. He then went to his room and looked over at the bed where Koyo usually slept.

Koyo was gone.

"Koyo?" Misawa cried a he ran to the bed, desperately searching for his best friend without any luck; Misawa then head back to him room, and changed into his uniform, and took his PDA and activate his torch light function and then he quietly left the dorm and head to the abandoned dorm.

At forest with Misawa and Midori

Misawa was silently walking in the forest at around midnight, and he used his flashlight function in his PDA to help him guide his way to the abandoned dorm. On his way to the abandoned dorm He heard a startled yet familiar voice.

"Misawa-kun?" Misawa turned to see Midori behind him which made the Ra sighed in relief.

"Hibiki-sensei"

"Misawa-kun! What are you doing here so late?

"Hibki-sensei! Koyo is gone!" Misawa cried but he realized a second later that probably wasn't the best thing to say when Midori's eyes widened in complete horrar.

"What! What do you mean he's gone?"

"When I woke up to go to kitchen and grab some water, I saw his room door was opened and I went and saw he was gone from his bed. I think he might have gone to the abandoned dorm." Misawa replied a Midori closed her eye and topics feel breath to calm herself down.

"The abandoned dorm?" Midori muttered to herself quietly before realizing that's was exactly where Koyo would end up going; he was always a curious one and something like that would be right up his ally.

"Come on! let's go". Midori sighed and she allowed Misawa to tag with her in order to find Kopyo,

Back at the abandoned dorm with Slade and Koyo

Koyo and Slade continue to walked along the halls of the Abandoned Dorm quietly, using their flashlight to help guide their way. They have explored almost all the rooms inside, but there was still one room that they hadn't explored yet. The door was locked so tightly that the most Koyo had been able to do was try whittling down the lock a little at a time with the resources he had. Just the fact that there was only one locked door in a supposed out-of-bounds building that anyone could walk right into struck him and Slade as odd. But until he could acquire better tools during the weekend, there was only so much he could do about it.

Koyo and Slade passed by walls decorated with Egyptian-style carvings of what looked to be the seven Millennium Items.

"Wow so this are the Millennium Items". Slade looked at them in awe.

"What Banner said is actually true they exist in ancient times" Koyo added.

However, the boys stopped short when Koyo felt his foot hit something on the ground. Pausing to shine his flashlight on the object, Koyo and Slade saw that it was a framed picture. Curious, Slade knelt to pick it up. There was a photograph of a boy who looked only a little older than him and Koyo. He had short silver hair which was somewhat spiky and purple eyes that resembles Yuna and was wearing the Obelisk Blue school uniform. At the bottom of the photo, the name, "Kamui Fujiwara" was signed. The last name surprised both the boys. Was the boy in the photo somehow related to Yuna? Is he her cousin brother? Did Yuna come in here earlier and drop it, maybe? Either way, they figured that she would want this, so Slade carefully pocketed the picture.

Before the boys could wonder about anything else, they heard a terrified scream that sounded like it belonged to Yuna. Alarmed, both the boys immediately run towards where they had heard it coming from. As irritating as Slade found her most of the time, Slade knew that he couldn't just sit back and do nothing while Yuna was in trouble.

This is all my fault! I should have just let her tag along with me. Then this wouldn't have happened! Slade cursed himself as he and Koyo hurried through the hallway.

Outside the abandoned dorm with Misawa and Midori

Both Misawa and Midori can hear Yuna's scream as they arrived at the main entrance of abandoned dorm. Both of their eyes widened in complete horrar.

"That voice it's Fujiwara-kun." Misawa noted in horrar.

"Looks like that girl is again trespassing, lets go and looked for ber". Midori added.

Misawa then started to run hurriedly

"Misawa-kun!" Midori called out as she reached out and grabbed Misawa by his shoulders forcing him to turn around.

"Don't run off like that, Misawa-kun; I have already got 30 students missing, I can't handle another one disappearing on me". Midori scolded and Misawa swallowed hard a his eyes flickered over Midori's shoulder to the dark building.

"I am sorry Hibiki-sensei, It's just I heard Fujiwara and I panicked". Misawa whispered sadly and Midori sighed sadly a she closed her eyes; she was looking down when she opened her eyes and she caught sight of something underneath her red heels on.

"What's this?" She questioned as she crouched down causing Misawa to look down worriedly; his eyes widened when he saw Midori holding a card.

"Clear Vice Dragon".. She breathed causing Misawa's eyes to widen in shock.

"That is Fujiwara-kun's monster!" He pointed out as Midori looked back towards the abandoned dorm.

"She wouldn't leave her cards purposely behind. Something must have happen to her and the fact her card is outside the gate of abandoned dorm just strengthen's the theory"

"Misawa-kun go back to your dorm". Midori ordered as she held out the card to the muscular teenager; Misawa blinked slightly but he didn't hesitate to accept the card that representsed Yuna.

"What about you Hibiki-sensei?"

"I am going to scout out the dorm and make sure no one is in there". Midori explained

"Them I am going with you". Misawa retorted even Midori started shaking her head.

"Misawa-kun".

"No I am sorry Hibiki-sensei but Koyo is one of my precious friend and Yuna is my classmate! I am not going to walk away when they could be in danger". Misawa said fiercely.

Midori stared at him and she was glad to see Koyo had a true friend like Misawa and Misawa himself reminds her of Koho.

"Okay but you stay close to me, you understand?" Midori ordered and Misawa nodded in agrrement.

Inside the abandoned dorm

Koyo and Slade entered a large room and finally found the source of the commotion. Standing in the middle of the room was a large, muscular-looking masked man dressed in a long coat and brimmed hat. The boys noticed that he had a duel disk on his arm, but even more surprising was what the man wore around his neck. The man's pendant looked like the Millennium Puzzle from the mural in the hallway. But surely that couldn't be right. Slade figured that it was just some kind of replica. More importantly, Yuna was behind the man in some sort of creepy coffin. The lid was opened to reveal her unconscious form. At least, the boys hoped she was only unconscious.

"Welcome, boys. So good of you to join me here. My name is Titan, the Shadow Duelist. And I will have the pleasure of sending you to your doom once I trap your soul to wander in the darkness for all eternity!" The man greeted the,

"I don't give a damn who you are! Let Yuna go right now, you bastard!" Slade shouted furiously.

"He'a right! You monster release her right now". Koyo added angrily while giving Titan a angry cold glare.

Titan chuckled at Slade's outburst. "It looks like I've got an energetic one here! But if you want to save the girl, then one of you have to defeat me in a duel first." He said in amusement.

"Why don't I just tear you limb from limb instead!?" Slade said through gritted teeth.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. That is, if you want any hope of opening this casket easily." Titan warned. With a slight hand motion from him, the lid to Yuna' coffin slid shut a little.

"Only I know how to open this once it's closed, so I'd consider my actions carefully if I were you, boy." Titan warned them.

"Fine. I'll duel you first. But once I win, don't expect to get away with any of this!" Koyo vowed. He didn't like it, but Titan had backed him into a corner to accept this duel. From the looks of it, the mechanism of Yuna's coffin was controlled through motion activation from the owner somehow. And Koyo didn't want to take any chances.

"No I shall duel him", The boys turned to see Midori arriving with Misawa.

"Slade! Koyo! You two stay away from him. I will duel him on your behalf" Midori warns them sharply as she pinned her duel disk in her left arm ready for action.

"Oh you are Midori Hibiki Koyo's cool sister and head of Slifer Red dorm. Well it would be entertaining if I send you to shadow relam in front of your dear brothers eyes. Titan taunted with a smirk while Midori have him a angry glare.

"You monster! She is just a girl, and how can you do something cruel. Let her go Titan". Midori reasoned causing Titan to chuckle humorously.

"Or What?"

"Or you will regret it", Midori hissed causing Titan to laugh, his cackles echoing around the room once agin; with a growl Midori grabbed her deck from her underneathher coat before pointing her finger at Titan.

"Titan duel me! If I win you let Fujiwara-kun go!" Midori bargained as she slammed her deck into her duel disk and activated it; Titan smirked as he followed the suit.

"Fine then but if you lose then you will suffer in eternal darkness." Titan hissed as his duel disk activated and the shadows started covering the field.

"Duel" Both Duelist about in unison.
