At Ra Yellow Dorm

It was early morning when a truck filled with soldiers pulled up to the Ra Yellow Dorm.

Meanwhile Koyo was inside his room sitting on the floor and playing UNO with Misawa and Dimitri.

"Come on Koyo you are not going to beat us". Dimitri groaned and panted.

"He's right you can't even beat me in the game of chess". Misawa panted.

"Come one I can even easily defeat you both in two turns". Koyo snarled

"Don't forget UNO is different from Duel Monsters card game". Misawa pointed out.

"I know" Koyo snapped.

Suddenly the boys could hear a forceful knock on Koyo's door.

"Open the door right now or we will break it".

Koyo groaned in annoyance and he stood up and went to open his door. When he open he, Misawa, and Dimitri are suprised to see a group of people dressed in military uniform standing outside his room.

The woman looked him over, "You must be Koyo Hibiki, we are "The Disciplinary Action Squad Army' and we received a complaint that you are caught trespassing the abandoned dorm and you are under campus arrest".

Dimitri blinked in suprise while Misawa raised his eyebrows. The copycat Duelist turned to Misawa and asked in whisper tone. "Hey if you went to the abandoned dorm yesterday, why was Koyo given a detention but not you".

"I don't know, ."

"Now follow us to the Detention room" She ordered strenly.

Koyo simply nodd and decide to follow them. The army squad directed Koyo to a minivan and he sat with them silently like a good boy until they reached the school.

At Detention Room

As Koyo walked into the Detention room inside the school, he spot another familiar face standing in front of a circular large TV screen. The room is large and has 6 large part screens.

"Slade?".

The Obelisk Duelist turned to look at him with a cold glare. "Well looks like I got into detention because of you" Slade hissed as he blames Koyo.

"Come on! you were the one who want to tag along with me and I never forced you to accompany me". Koyo retorted.

Before Slade could respond they were intercepted by a female authority voice.

"We have received proof that both 1st year Koyo Hibiki and Slade Princeton were trespassing in the Abandoned Dorm during curfew-hours. I would say that this is a offense at least warrants a suspension. Wouldn't you agree, Principal?" The female task force member said.

Samejima and Chronos sighed internally to themself. They hadn't expected two of the Academy's best students to break the rules to such a degree. Samejima absentmindedly drummed his fingers on the armrest of his office desk chair while he thought of an answer. Over to his right, he and Chronos noticed Noro's nervous expression. While Chronos and Samejima hadn't expected Koyo one of their favorite students-to be caught breaking the rules.

"Yes rules are equal to everyone, and since the Abandoned dorm is a prohibited area we must give them punishment in order to set an example to the student body." Samejima answered seriously

"Signore Koyo I never expected this from you na no nae". Chronos said disappointingly

"May I know the reason whyyou two went to the abandoned dorm?" Samejima asked,

"What can I say? I was never there. It's not my fault your staff is incompetent enough to believe accusations about me. If you really want to push this, then I suppose we would have to take this to court. But I don't think you'll want to do that. Not if you want to keep this school's reputation in good standing, that is." Slade said smugly.

"Mr Princeton you better watch your manners". The female task force member warned him ruefully

"What about Koyo-kun?" Samejima asked, desperate to find some middle ground with him

"I just heard about some missing students and shadow games happening at the abandoned dorm, so I thought of just taking a look". He answered honestly

Samejima couldn't help feeling saddened by Slade's words. He can see the hatred Slade has towards Koyo and he wanted the students to get along with each other; to feel like a team. But Slade was still indifferent even now.

"Now since we wanted to give them penalty for trespassing the abandoned dorm, we shoud be discussing their punishment right now". Noro pointed out since he is eager to get Koyo expelled and everything seems to be happening according to his plan.

"I already have an idea on what kind of punishment we should give them". Chronos said.

"Like what". Noro asked out of curiosity.

"Well Signore Koyo and Signore Slade...How about you two team up in a tag duel?" Chronos suggested, "Win and you are free to go...lose and you both are expelled?"

"A tag duel". Koyo muttered in a indifferent tone and he wasn't fond of working with Slade and Slade also wasn't happy to team up with a Duelist who he thinks is inferior to him despite Koyo defeating him during the promotional duel last month.

This thought has given Samejima an idea, maybe there was still hope for Slade and Noro also appears too like this idea since he can use his connection to hire the top Duelist's whom the boys can't stand a chance.

"That's sound a great idea Chronos-kun. That way you both get a fair chance at getting out of this, and we can avoid any messy legal business. What do you say, you two?" Samejima suggested kindly.

"Well I am find with it". Koyo replied.

"Defeating our opponents in a tag duel is a piece of cake". Slade added reluctantly,

"Principal and Chronos-kun leave it to me , I will hire a very tough opponent for them". Noro declared and his colleagues nodd in agreement.

"Well I will give you two two weeks time to prepare". Samejima declared.

At Samejima's office

Later on, Misawa went to Samejima's office after learning the conditions Koyo and Slade were placed in.

He knocked the door and the doors of Principal's office slid open and then he went in the room, .

"Hello, Principal Samejima I wanted to talk to you about the expul-" He stopped when he saw a weird site.

Samejima, the principal of Duel Academy, one of the most respected people in the dueling school, was holding a picture of Tome-san, the shop owner of the Card shop, with lust visible on his eyes, "Oh, Tome-san, how much I want to tell you what I feel about you." He then continued stroking the picture of it.

Misawa didn't want to ruin his eyes anymore so he coughed into his hand, catching his attention. Samejima threw the picture out of the window behind him, making a huge mess and making Seto pay for the damage later today.

He looked at him nervous, not wanting to ask how much he saw. He cleared his throat and lifted his head, "So, uh, you wanted to see me Misawa-kun?"

Misawa nodded, "I wanted to talk about the expulsion duel with Koyo and Slade. And I was also trespassing at the crime scene" Samejima leaned in, "I knew the way of the abandoned dorm, so I feel like I am responsible for them. So I wanted Koyo's part-"

Before he can finish his sentence, the door was opened to reveal his fellow classmate and 1st year Obelisk Blue, Yuna Fujiwara calmly arriving at Samejima's office "No! It is my fault!" she walked towards the principal of the dueling school, "It was my fault that they were in the dorm! I went their before all three of them went! So please make me Koy-"

She didn't even finish her sentence as the door was opened once again, but this time it was the Slifer Red Headmistress Midori Hibiki she was wearing a bandage on her right arm after getting injured during her duel with Titan yesterday "Principal it's my fault my brother and Slade were trespassing, As a teacher I should have prevented them from entering but I permitted them to enter". She lied, since she doesn't want to see her brother getting expelled. "I am deeply sorry for being irresponsible". She apologized while bowing down.

Before Samejima could respond he and Midori were interrupted by a argument.

Both of them turned to see the Obelisk Queen and Ra Genius arguing. They wanted to be Koyo's partner like he was a harem protagonist.

Midori sweat dropped watching their argument while Samejima laughed, before clapping his hands together to catch their attention at him.

"As much I am happy that you wanted to stick out of your classmate, but The Disciplinary Action Squad have already decided that Slade will be Koyo's tag partner at the expulsion duel. I hope both of you understand. Now off you go! I need to call Seto Kaiba for…" he looks behind him at the big mess he made with the windows, "...reasons."

Both the students wanted to protess but it was meaningless.

"But if you two want to get detention then why don't you two go to the detention classroom". Samejima suggested

Both Yuna and Misawa nodd in agreement.

"Midori-kun, can you please take them to detention classroom" Samejima requested her and she nodd and gave her students a sign follow me gesture and they left his office calmly.

At Detention Classroom

Both Misawa and Yuna sighed as they went to the detention classroom with the other students in it. They looked all over the class room only to see only a few students. Some from Slifer, some from Ra and some even from Obelisk Blue. They looked around and grabbed a seat next to each other. Banner was being their supervisor

Both of them and the other students couldn't do anything other than do their homework, sit and say nothing or nothing at all. "This will be a long hour." Yuna leaned in her seat with her eyes closed, while Misawa also felt asleep.

An hour later

Professor Banner looked at his watch while he was petting Pharaoh with his legs on the table. "Oh their detention is done already?" He cleared his throat as he looked at his students and clapped his hands, "Okay, everyone! Your detention time is done for today, you can all have a wonderful day for the rest of the day." As soon as he finished his sentence all the students ran to the door happy away from their hell.

"Finally, it's over! I can see what happened to Koyo." Misawa said as he stood up from his seat.

"Same here, but I feel its important we should apologize to Hibiki-sensei before we meet him". Yuna suggested and Misawa nodd. She stood up from her seat and stretched her arms qnd legs.

At Academy Hallway

After Yuna and Misawa exited from the room. They met Midori in the hallway.

"Hibiki-sensei, we're sorry that Koyo is getting detention because of us" They both apologized in unison while bowing down to her.

She then walked towards them and placed her hands on both of their shoulder.

"You two, you don't have to apologize for what you have done, because I am pretty sure Vice-Principal Noro is behind all this."

"Hibiki-sensei I just wished I could have listened to you, its my fault Koyo and Slade are getting expelled and I became so desperate to find Kamui-an-", She had a guilt expression on her face and was interrupted by Midori.

"Fujiwara-kun, you and Misawa-kun never led Koyo to the abandoned dorm, and remember its not your fault that Koyo and Slade got detention. Your so desperate to find about your cousin and if I were you I could have done the same". She told her kindly and then she warned them to stay away from abandoned dorm.

At the cliff

After talking with Midori, both Yuna and Misawa walked away from the other rooms and exited Duel Academy.

They went to the Ra Yellow Dorm but learned from Dimitir that Koyo went to the cliff to train with Taku.

Both of them went to the cliff and then they saw two tall slender female figures dressed in standard Obelisk Blue uniform watching a duel. One girl had pale skin, long teal-blue hair reaching past her shoulders and blue eyes, Ryo watching with her arms crossed and the other girl has fair skin, long choclate brown hair also reaching past her shoulders and brown eyes and placing her right hand on her hip Anna.

Ryo and Anna were staring down the cliff so Yuna and Misawa ran to them too see what they are watching. It was a duel between Taku and Koyo.

It was sunset and the weather was cool and clammy.

"What happen you two why were you guys late?" Anna asked worriedly

"Apparently me and Misawa-kun went to turn ourselves in, trespassing the abandoned dorm and we were sent to detention classroom" The seaweed haired girl stated bluntly while keeping her focus on the duel without having glaring anyone.

"Is it really true that you got kidnapped by a creep called Titan and Hibiki-sensei was the one who saved you?". The teal haired girl asked

"Yep, I just went there to get some clues about Kamui-aniki and then I ended up becoming a helpless damsel out of nowhere." Yuna snickered.

"Yuna I understand how much you missed your cousin but you have no idea how much you kept us worried" Anna scolded her.

"She's right and your lucky you cameback alive or else once Kamui-san returns he would be worried and if Ayukawa-sensei found out you weren't in your room then you could land in hot water". Ryo retorted and warned her.

"I am sorry for keeping you girls worried and I promised to Hibiki-sensei that I will never trespass ever again". Yuna assured them with a small smile and the girls sighed in relief.

"Fujiwara-kun I heard that Taku-san used to best friends with Kamui-san?" Misawa interjected as he broke his silence.

Yuna nodd "Me and Taku-san have been childhood friends and Kamui-aniki was the one who taught both of us how to duel when we were kids. Even though me and Kamui are first cousins, me and Taku-san always consider him as our own brother".

"So is Taku-san Kamui-san's classmate?" Misawa asked.

"His just 2 years older than me so he would have been in his 3rd year by now". Yuna dropped her head saddened

"I am sorry Fujiwara-kun". Misawa apolgized to her sadly but she waved her hand to show it was alright

"Taku-san is doing what he can to help me find him and so does Anna and Ryo", She said to him with a sad smile. While she gets agitated with Taku's eccentric personality but she still likes him as a friend and is grateful for his help.

Yuna then rembered the conversation she had with Taku yesterday.

Flashback

It was a dark, gloomy, foggy night with the only light source being that of a lighthouse for the ships that come to Duel Academy. If you have a sharp eye, you could see two bodies in the mist. One of them had a tall slender body with seaweed shoulder length green hair and the other one also tall, had a fit physique with blond hair and crystal green eyes that looked like he was always glaring at someone, Takumi Tatsuragi who is often dubbed Taku by his close friends

"Taku-san ?" Anna said, trying to catch his attention, failing to do so, "Hello?" she tried again, but failed. She then walked over towards the 2nd year Obelisk. "What are you doing here?"

"I was just thinking about you and Kamui-aniki" He said in a cool tone, but then he remembered something, "Weren't we supposed to meet yesterday, but you didn't come?"

Yuna bit her lip, wondering whether or not to answer the question or not, but she ultimately decided to answer this question, "Sorry about that Taku-san I just went to the abandoned dorm, but was abushed by one person that Hibiki-sensei managed to defeat." Taku tried his hardest not to burst into questions and why she would enter it, even when she knew that her cousin was missing, but she quickly told him, "But look on what I found."

Taku turned his head away from the ocean and his eyes widened. That was one of his missing friends! Kamui! He would have taken the photo away from her, but knew that this was more important to her than to him.

"Is that Kamui-aniki" He aked emotionally to the the point he feels like hugging and she nodd.

"Yuna! promise me that from today onwards you will ever go to the abandoned dorm, after all that place is dangerous, and you got kidnap and if anything happens to you I don't have the courage to face your parents or Kamui-aniki". Taku said in a determined tone as if he is her own brother who is protecting her.

Even though Kamui's whereabouts are MIA at the moment, she can still feel his presence through Taku.

Back At the present

Yuna shift her focus back to the duel and the match between Koyo and Taku ended in a draw. Many people have became very protective of her such as her parents, her best friends Anna and Ryo and her childhood friend Taku ever since Kamui disappeared.

While Yuna appreciates their love and concern towards her, but sometimes she gets annoyed that they become extremly overprotective towards her. She attended Duel Academy Middle School divison with Anna, and ever since Kamui disappeared her parents forbade her from leaving the house after 5 PM and they refuse to send her out after that.

She just feels like she is literally grounded. After coming to Duel Academy high school division she is solely focused on finding Kamui's whereabouts and hope's she finds him before her first year ends.

At Locker Room

After his duel with Taku, Koyo reached his locker a bit later, an huge piles of letters cascaded out of it as soon as he opened the door. "What is all this!?" He exclaimed.

Sometimes he would recive dozen's of love letter's from his fan girls but this time he could tell the letters aren't from his fangirls because their are no girly heart stickers paste on envelop or any lipstick mark. And this time its just a plain envelope. Normally Koyo would ignore those letters but this time he looks more interested to read them.

Curious, Koyo opened one of the letters and read it aloud. "You are just jealous that Slade is a rich heir to the Princeton Empire than you are who comes from a middle class family so you tried to sabotage him by inviting him to the Abandoned Dorm with you. It's all your fault if he gets expelled!" He read.

"What nonsense!" Koyo scoffed.

After angrily tearing, he open another letter, Koyo read its contents out loud, too. "You are a horrible person" He recited.

As Koyo started to throw away the letter, he felt a wet, sticky substance on his finger. "What is this? chewing gum? He said disgustedly.

Taku placed his hand over Koyo's wrist and gently pulled the Ra's Ace arm away before he could open any more letters. "Don't open anymore!" The 2nd year Obelisk said firmly.

"Fine by me. I'm guessing this is all hate mail?. They don't even know what happened there." Koyo complained.

"You know how rumors work around here, though. Everyone just wants something to gossip about." Taku said wearily.

Two Obelisk boys who were walking by noticed Koyo and whispered to each other loudly enough for them to hear. "What a fake he is! Always going on with him"Ra suits me!", when all this time, he was just trying to get Slade for himself!" One of the boys said nastily.

"Yeah! I hope he gets expelled!" The second not agreed vehemently.

As the two boys giggled cruelly at the site of Koyo's mail as they walked away, Koyo couldn't help feeling like he had gotten a slap to the face.

"Ignore them." Taku advised Koyo

"You're right. They're not worth it. I guess I'm just surprised at how fast things escalated…" Koyo said with a weary sigh.

"Don't worry, Koyo! We still believe in you,!" A new male voice spoke up.

Koyo and Taku turned to see Anna, Misawa and two Ra Yellow boys and two girls in front of him. One of them he recognized as his classmate Ran Kochuo the student council vice-president.

"Yeah! We're your friends, so of course we believe you over these stupid rumors! And anyone should be able to see that it's plain as day that you and Slade aren't exactly best pals! Not that you guys would stoop to getting each other in trouble, though." Anna insisted.

"Honestly though, that brat needs to be taught a lesson. Slade never does any of his class clean-up duties whenever it's his turn. And when we try charging him fines for it as per the rules, he just ignores all our invoices! When I tried talking to him about it, he just said "I daresay I've paid enough in tuition already. I'm not obligated to do any more than that. Every other student understands how important cooperation among us is. But not Slade Princeton. Oh, no! He thinks he's far too special for that!" Ran ranted.

"We've seen the way Slade treats you in class, Hibiki. He's a jerk, and he deserves to sweat a little." One of the other Ra boy's next to Ran agreed.

"He's not…that bad." Koyo found himself saying. While he knew that Slade was mostly a jerk, Koyo felt like he couldn't hate him after last night.

"I mean, I don't think he was doing anything bad over there either." Koyo said hastily after seeing the boys curious looks.

"Well, either way. We just wanted to let you know that we're on your side here, Koyo. We can vouch for you if need be." Ran reassured Koyo

"Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. At any rate, it's nice to see some people are still sane about all this." Koyo said gratefully.

Samejima's Office

Samejima sat on his chair, sitting on the opposite side of the table next to Vice Principal Mamoro Noro, "So, Noro-kun, you said that you are hiring someone at the expulsion duel?" he asked.

Noro nodded, "Yes, I did, Principal, I have hired the best tag team duel on the planet to duel those two."

Samejima raised his eyebrows, "Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba?"

Noro deadpanned, "Principal, Seto is our boss. We would be paying him his own money. And I don't think we can hire even one of them with both of our paychecks combined."

"Ahh, sorry, bad question. Para and Dox?"

"They retired 4 years ago."

"Lumis and Umbra?"

"They died in Battle City."

"Ishizu and Marik?"

"They're in Egypt".

"Then who are you hiring?" asked Samejima as Noro grinned.

"Oh, just the newest tag team. You heard that they have, what the youngsters say newly married Pro dueling couple. It would be a glory for Duel Academy for them to show up. Maybe they would be tough in their duel." explained Noro as Samejima realized who he was hiring and he nodded, accepting them as the Ra and Obelisk opponents.

At the beach with Koyo, Slade, and Taku

"So, since you know that we are going to be tag dueling together soon, that pretty much solves our problem now. You can duel as you normally would. Just don't do anything to deliberately mess up my moves and we'll be fine." Slade said to Koyo. He and Taku had met up with Koyo earlier and were now sitting outside on the beach together so that they could all talk in private.

"What are you saying!? This is a tag duel, so we need to work together!" Koyo said in disbelief. He couldn't believe that even Slade could be this arrogant.

"I don't need any help." Slade scoffed

"Koyo-kun is right, Slade. Knowing your partner's strategies and being in-sync with them and their dueling style is fundamentally important in a tag duel. Your partner's actions have a lot of weight in how the duel proceeds. I think you should both go over each other's decks at least." Taku advised Slade.

"Fine, whatever. I suppose it won't hurt to get a look." Slade agreed reluctantly.

For the next few minutes, Koyo and Slade looked at the cards in each other's decks. Nothing could be heard aside from the occasional murmur and the sound of the waves on the shoreline.

After what felt like forever, Koyo spoke up. "You need to fix your deck and try sticking into one. Narrow your focus down a bit. Pick one or the other." He demanded bluntly.

Slade was immediately on the defense. "Having multiple decks always worked out for me before!" He protested.

"Like when you dueled me, you mean?" Koyo asked sarcastically.

"That was one time!" Slade argued futilely.

Slade then breathed in slowly, trying to calm himself before saying anymore. "Look, it's fine for what you deal with around here. But if you're going to Pro its different. I can't afford any hindrances. What are you gonna do if you end up with a hand full of weak cards, you need to try out other deck instead of relaying on Elemental Hero" He said seriously.

Slade's words just annoyed Koyo even more. He hated how Slade had suggested him to discard his Elemental Hero. It was the complete dismissal of him whatsoever as a duelist that irked him more than anything. He had thought that Slade was starting to get better, but he was just as selfish as ever.

"That won't happen. Look, I can always swap out a few cards, but I am not changing my whole deck for this!" Koyo insisted.

"Then I might as well be dueling with an AI robot for what good you'll be doing." Slade said rudely.

"Okay, that's it." Taku spoke up. There was a deadly calm in his voice as opposed to his usual friendly self, that caused Koyo and Slade to look at him.

"Slade, I have been patient and put up with your attitude for a long time. But it's time I put my foot down. You are acting like a spoiled brat and have done absolutely nothing to try working with Koyo when he is doing his damnedest to get through everything that happened to him since last night." Taku said strictly.

Slade couldn't help feeling a little shocked by Taku's words. He was used to him pretty much just going along with what he said without much arguing. To hear the upbeat and 2nd-year student telling him off now left him speechless.

Taku continued when nobody said anything else. "If you think cooperating with your partner is a waste of time, that's fine. But maybe you need something else to start taking this seriously. We are going to duel, right now. If I win, you will start working with Koyo to prepare for this tag duel as a real team and start treating him with respect, no arguments about it. You wanted a duel with me, Slade? Well, you got it!" He proposed.

Koyo couldn't believe what he was hearing. Things had escalated further than he thought. To think that Slade and Taku were going to duel now. He had no idea how he even felt about this right now.

"Oh, now this is more like it! I've been waiting for you to find your nerve and accept my challenge. This will be just what I need to get ready for the tag duel. Alright, I'll duel you. But a word of caution before we start: you may be an opponent that is worth my time, but don't expect a win for yourself this time ." Slade promised confidently.

Notes

The detention chapter is finally here. Next time we're going to get Slade and my OC Taku dueling.
