Sekhmet: Happy New Year! It's like two months later and we've only had a few hiccups, so so far the year is going great!

Susano-o: So I was wrong about Christmas, sorry everyone, but we're reaching the climax and then moving on to season 4, which hopefully will come out on a more regular schedule because it will be less of a slog than season 3. We will finish this fic we promise!

Sekhmet: And then we can move onto other projects! What are they? It could be any of the ideas listed up on our profile page!

Susano-o: And we will move on to 5D's, Zexal, and ARC-V.

Sekhmet: Vrains and Sevens are both a solid maybe right now, since it would be a whole new universe with no relation to the previous one. Kind of an interconnected universe going on here.

Suano-o: Also no matter how many times I read Link Summoning it still makes me go 'What?'. Like I think I get it, but I never feel sure.

Sekhmet: Same here. I THINK it's a retrain of tribute summoning, but I just don't know. I don't even know what's going on in Sevens tbh. We might even break into My Hero Academia, since I've finally decided to watch it.

Susano-o: And yes, Smuts still exist, we just forget to finish them. For now though, let's go!

Duel 66: Setup

"Day 23 in the chamber...they haven't found us yet, but when they do, they're going to be surprised." Adrian chuckled, shuffling his deck like a gremlin.

"We've only been down here for about three hours." Echo said. A few seconds later, Jim threw open the door of the basement closet they were hiding in.

"There you are! What the hell is going on? Why did you send us here?" Jim asked.

"So many questions, so little time. My motives, if I had any, if I was even responsible, would be none of your concern." Adrian said.

"Oh for the love of- I've had just about enough of you! We're gonna duel, and then you're gonna tell me why you sent us here, you bloody bogan!" Jim said.

'Duel!" (LP: 8000)

"I'll go first, I summon "Vortex Trooper" (0/600), and due to its effect, I can shuffle two cards into my Deck, and draw two new ones, and that's it."

"That's it? If you say so. I draw. I play "Sacred Defense Barrier" and use its effect to summon "Shell Knight" (0/2000) in defense mode and give it a counter. And when he's summoned, you take 500 points of damage. (Adrian's LP: 8000-7500) Then I'll set this card and end my turn."

"Alright, I summon "Deep Diver" (1000/1100), set a card, and end my turn."

"I draw. I summon "Weathering Soldier" (2000/1200) and I'll have it attack "Deep Diver" (Adrian's LP: 7500-6500) Then I'll set a card and end my turn." (2000-1400/1200)

"You've killed yourself! I shuffle all my monsters in my Graveyard back into my Deck and sacrifice my best friend Echo to summon "Exodius, the Ultimate Forbidden Lord!"

"What? I didn't sign up for this!" Echo shrieked. A giant hand manifested out of shadows and dragged her into the ground before a smaller version of Exodia climbed out of a hole in the ground. (?/0) "Now to declare an attack, I have to send a card from my hand or Deck to the Graveyard, which is no problem for me. Next I activate "Diffusion Wave Motion' so that Exodius has to attack multiple times, allowing me to discard multiple monsters! And Exodius gains 1000 attack for every Normal Monster in my Graveyard! (?-2000/0) Now attack 'Weathering Soldier" and Shell Knight!" (Jim's LP: 8000-7400)

"Mate, you picked a bad time for this. I do not hold back when I'm toasted." Jim said. " I activate a copy of "Fossil Fusion" to fuse "Left Leg of the Forbidden One" and "Weathering Soldier" from our Graveyards to summon "Cenozioc Fossil Dragon Skullgar" (2500/0), (2000-1000/0), next I'll use "Miracle Rupture" to send 1 level 4 or lower Rock Monster from my Deck to my Graveyard, and because I have "Fossil Fusion" in my Graveyard, I can draw a card. Next, I play "Specimen Inspection". By revealing 1 "Fossil Fusion" in my hand and sending 1 monster from my hand to the Graveyard I declare a type and level, and if you have a monster with that type and level in your hand or Deck, you have to send it to your Graveyard. Knowing your history, I'd be willing to bet you have a level 7 Spellcaster hiding somewhere in your Deck."

"How did you know I had that? When did you peek at my Deck?" Adrian hissed.

"Shouldn't be too hard to figure that one out." Jim said.

Adrian gasped. "When we…?"

"Yeah."

"You used me...for strategy?!"

"It was for the good of the group."

"But what about the good of my heart?!"

"Come on, mate. We both know you didn't have one of those. Now if I may continue with my turn. Finally, I use the other copy of "Fossil Fusion" I revealed to fuse "Fog King" and "Flint Cragger" to summon "Paleozoic Fossil Dragon Skullgios" (3500/0) With all of that said and done, I can finally end you."

"Not quite. I'll take a giant hit, but I'll still survive."

"No, I don't think you will. See, Skullgios has a couple of effects that come in real handy. First, he switches your monster's attack and defense when he attacks. (1000-0/0-1000) Then, the damage he does when attacking is doubled. Between that and Skullgar, you're through mate." (Adrian's LP: 7500-0. Winner: Jim)

"Did...Did you at least mean what you said?" Adrian coughed.

"No." Jim said curtly. As Adrian was swallowed up by the darkness, Jim tipped the brim of his hat down to hide the regretful look on his face.

….

I'm rounding up a search party! Rose's gone missing! Again!" Yuko announced. Chazz gave Hassleberry a hopeful grin.

"Man the lifeboats!" Hassleberry shouted, much to Chazz' dismay.

"Alpha team, you search upcampus ! Gold team searches downcampus! Any questions?" Yuko announced.

"Gold team rules!" JR shouted.

"Now get moving! The last time this happened, she made a camp in the woods. Maybe she went back there." Yuko said.

"None of you will be going anywhere." A professional sounding voice said. In the main hall outside one of the entrances to the room was a tall, green haired man in a triple horned black mask.

"Again with you? Didn't Rose already kill you, Nightshroud?" Yuko asked.

"Nope. I've had this body on reserve for quite a while now. You might recognize it." He took off the mask to reveal an oddly pretty face with black eyeliner.

"Nope, not familiar." Yuko said.

"Yusuke? Is that you? Where have you been?" Atticus asked, appearing beside Yuko.

"Where the hell have YOU been?!" Yuko asked.

"I've been here the whole time." Atticus said.

"That's a crock of shit and you know it! But you got a 40oz on you?" Yuko asked.

"I found one in the cafeteria." Atticus said, handing her a small glass bottle, empty of its contents.

"Convenient." Yuko said, and threw the bottle to the ground, shattering it. "SCATTER!" She yelled. The students flooded out of all the exits, even past Night-Yusuke, who just stood there smirking.

….

Adrian awoke with a start, screaming about Ojamas putting him on a surgical table and then...pain.

"Adrian shut up!" Echo yelled from above him. Adrian opened his eyes to see Echo's face hovering inches from his.

"Oh, Echo!" He yelled with tears in his eyes. "I'm so glad to see you unharmed."

"Unharmed is not the way I would put it," She said backing up. Revealing her normal head was now attached to an human colored Ojama body, bikini and all.

"Oh my RA!" Adrian screamed trying to crawl away. "What happened to you!?"

"The same thing that happened to you," Echo said back holding up a mirror. Showing Adrian had become a Ojama as well, an orange Ojama with one eyes in the center of his face, a giant unsettling toothy maw, and limp brown hair.

"What is this madness!" Adrian yelled, grabbing at his face.

"Oh it's very simple," Ojama Lime said riding in on Dark Jeroid. "You lost in the God World and sold your soul to Exodus, so now you must spend the rest of your days being an Ojama."

"What!?" Adrian yelled.

"Hey I don't make the rules, Ancient Brain does," Lime said pointing up at the Demonic Sky Elder in the clouds, who nodded and then disappeared.

"Yes," Ojama Lemon said, landing in front of them. "And as the Brain decreed, Your punishment is guaranteed," He intoned ominously. "For when someone succumbs to the pain of the Ojamas, a sand farmer they must become."

"What does that mean!?" Adrian yelled.

"It means congratulations, you're the new sand farmer!" Lime said, throwing a hoe at Adrian. "Yay! Now Pink can go to college!"

"Wait what!?" Adrian shouted before being whipped by Echo.

"Get to work Orange!" Echo yelled.

"What? What?! What!" Adrian yelled as he was whipped again.

"See the newest Ojama has to become the village's sand farmer," Lime explained. "And now that's you Orange."

"I'm not Ojama Orange! I'm Adrian Gecko!" Orange yelled before being whipped again.

"Oh and your friend Ojama Echo's punishment is she has to be your whipping mistress for the rest of eternity."

"How is that a punishment!?" Orange screamed as he was forced to farm.

"I don't know, but it makes me feel funny to watch," Lime said as he and Dark Jeroid rode off into the sunset, leaving Orange and Echo alone for the rest of eternity.

"What the actual shit! How's this asshole taking out multiple people at once? He wasn't this strong the last time we saw him!" Yuko asked.

"I was saving this deck for the last minute. The power this deck holds is frankly absurd." Nightshroud said.

"Yuko, I need you to go find Rose." Axel said.

"You'd better not be thinking of fighting that guy alone. We've seen what he's capable of." Yuko said.

"She won't come back unless we find her. Besides, you described her as broken. It's likely she's not in her right mind in the first place." Axel said.

"But-"

"Please just go!"

Yuko glowered, swallowed, and nodded. She jumped over the railing, using Eraser's wings to do a brace jump so she wouldn't hurt her legs.

"I don't think so." Nightshroud said, raising his hand. Before he could do anything, a card hit him in the shoulder, distracting him long enough for Yuko to escape.

"I'll take care of the dragon." Axel said, jumping down from the ledge to face him.

"Duel!" (LP: 8000)

"I will take the first turn." Night-Yusuke said. "I activate both 'Clear World' and 'Clear Haven'!" The room became blindingly white, and then a frosted dome appeared above them. "'Clear World' has different effects based on the attributes of our monsters, but 'Clear Haven' lets all of my attacks become direct attacks. Next I'll set a monster and end my turn.

"My turn." Axel said. "I play 'Blaze Accelerator', then use its effect to play 'Tri-blaze Accelerator', then destroy it to Special Summon 'Volcanic Doomfire' (3000/1800). Then I'll have it attack your set monster, and when it does, all the monsters you control are destroyed and you take 500 damage for every cars destroyed this way." (Night-Yusuke's LP: 8000-7500) "Then I'll end my turn."

"Very well. But since you control a Fire attribute monster, you take 1000 damage at the end of your turn." (Axel's LP: 8000-7000) "As for my turn, I'll simply set this monster and end my turn."

"I draw. I won't let you build up a field presence. I attack with 'Volcanic Doomfire', and due to its effect, you take another 500 points of damage." (Night-Yusuke's LP: 7500-7000) "We're even now."

"But not for long. You take another 1000 points of damage due to 'Clear World's effect on Fire attribute monsters." (Axel's LP: 7000-6000) "And now it's my turn. I activate 'Clear Sacrifice'. By showing you a Kevel 5 or higher monster in my hand, I can banish monsters from my graveyard like they were tributes in order to summon it. By doing that, I summon 'Clear Vice Dragon'. (0/0) "When it attacks, it gains double the attack of the monster its attacking. However, because of 'Clear Haven's' effect, it's attack is changed to a direct attack. (0-6000/0-6000) Which means that 6000 points of damage is going straight to your life points!" (Axel's LP: 6000-0. Winner: Night-Yusuke)

All that was left of Axel after the prismatic beam faded was a pile of ash.
